Bloom Affair

With all of the craziness of preparing a wedding, I was so happy to find a florist that made me do little to no work to get exactly what I wanted! It was so nice to not have to meet beforehand to go over what I wanted. Miriam (who was AMAZING to work with) had me fill out a questionnaire of what I was looking for in the flowers for my wedding, and then sent me a power point presentation with exactly what I was looking for (after some slight alterations)! It was nice to see everything in one place of what I would be getting on my wedding day.

The flowers on the wedding day were absolutely perfect. The bridesmaids bouquets were beautiful and my bouquet was absolutely GORGEOUS. Someone gave me bouquet preservation as a wedding gift and I cannot wait to get to look at my beautiful wedding bouquet for the rest of my life. :)

I was so relieved to find a florist that I didn't need to meet with beforehand! I relied on reviews saying that their wedding flowers turned out to be exactly what they had imagined and was pleased to find out that it was all very true. I emailed with Miriam for a few months, probably driving her nuts with numerous changes, but she was extremely accomodating and detail-oriented. Bloom Affair event went the extra mile with my cake that I did not order decorative flowers for - they added those for me on the day-of which I thought was very nice. I could not have been happier with how the flowers turned out. Thanks Miriam and Bloom Affair!

Bloom Affair provided a very professional work team that made our special day so very special. The flowers were absolutely beautiful, super fresh, lasted more than a week, and were exactly what I wanted, and then some!! You will not be sorry if you check them out. Miriam at Bloom Affair was a joy to work with. Think we did 4-5 consultations with various florists until we found Bloom Affair based on online reviews. They had the best pricing in the DC area and we received fabulous flowers that were exactly what we asked for. Miriam was so helpful in offering different options and being very flexible as I made some last minute changes and additions. The flowers were gorgeous and fresh and lasted quite a while after the wedding - they were so lovely, we had guests and family members take them home. Truly a great vendor to work with and you get quality flowers at a reasonable price.

I was getting skeptical I would find a florist I liked by the time I found Bloom Affair - I had already met with two florists who did not understand my vision at all, came in way over budget, were unprofessional in communication, and completely ignored some of my requests (which weren't even over the top/crazy - just wanted a lush, spring time English garden feel) in their proposals. I stumbled upon Bloom Affair while trolling through the WeddingWire catalog and decided to contact them based on their reviews and the fact that I think their business name is cute. :) From the beginning, Miriam was easy to work with and flexible. You do everything via email and it was SO EASY. I filled out an initial questionnaire and Miriam sent back a power point proposal of pictures, ideas, and prices. On the first try she understood what I was going for and had some great suggestions and we went back and forth, updating the proposal, until it was just what I wanted. We also added an aisle runner a few weeks before the wedding with no problem.

The day of the wedding Miriam was sweet, upbeat, and professional. Everything was perfect and the pictures of my bouquet still make me smile. It was just gorgeous - I grinned for about 5 minutes after it was delivered. The only minor issue was that the reception centerpieces were smaller than I was expecting (though still beautiful) - but I wanted them a certain price and did not confirm the exact size based on my budget, so make sure to keep that in mind.

Miriam I could not have picked a better florist! The flowers were EXACTLY what my daughter had wanted but we were scared we would not be able to afford it. You even upgraded for free. They were stunning! Everything was perfect. The pew arrangements and headpiece for the flower girl were beautiful as well as the altar vases! Thanks! You helped make the event perfect! I worked with Miriam for my wedding flowers. She was wonderful! We spoke over the phone for about an hour when first discussing my flowers and vision for my wedding day. They put together a wonderful slideshow of samples based on my ideas and ideas they had used in the past. They were wonderful as far as flexibility, changes, working through all of my ideas.

Their prices were the best as well!!! They even allowed me to add rehearsal dinner flower centerpieces a few weeks prior to the event without any trouble. On the day of my wedding, the flowers were delivered extra early (in preparation for the hurricane weather!) and they were absolutely beautiful! It was one thing I did not have to worry about whatso ever!

I cannot begin to say enough good things about Bloom Affair. They were recommended to me by a co-worker primarily because there was no minimum cost. Miriam was amazing. We never spoke on the phone (which was awesome!) and all communication was by email. I did a simple questionnaire and she sent me a power point with lots of ideas. We went back and forth about what I liked and what would work until things were perfect. For me, the electronic communication was so fabulous because wedding planning was stressful enough and this gave me the chance to work at my own pace and at times that worked best for me. Miriam wrote back quickly and was super thorough and conscientious. She even wrote to clarify shades of peach :)
On the day of the wedding she and a co-worker delivered the flowers, set them up, and the work was AMAZING. I honestly feel like I got way more than my money's worth. Leading up to the wedding I didn't think I would have any strong feelings about the flowers, but she really did capture exactly what I envisioned and now I can't stop looking at pictures of my bouquet.
I totally recommend Bloom Affair.

I worked with Yetunde for the most part but also with Miriam. Their prices were VERY reasonable (I was quoted for the same thing at another florist for almost 2x the price!) and the flowers turned out to be gorgeous. I got so many comments about the centerpieces and the bridal party flowers. They were very flexible with schedule and delivery and went out of their way to help us. Highly recommended!

I really enjoyed working with Bloom Affair. My consultant had a wide span of knowledge for various flowers and was able to help create my vision. She was extremely patient with me, while I changed my mind several times. On my wedding day the florist was the least of my concern because their professionalism throughout the whole process kept me at ease. I plan to refer Bloom Affair to anyone in search of a florist.

Miriam of Bloom affair was great throughout the entire process of planning our decor for the wedding. Any ideas or suggestions I had she was completely open to if thats what I wanted and helped me if I wasn't certain. I even changed my centerpiece idea a few weeks before the wedding and she was not at all bothered to change the layout. All of my concerns or worries were squashed the day of the wedding because the flowers were beautiful. I received many complements about how pretty they were and people were wanting to take them home. I will refer many people to them for their weddings!

This company was a pleasure to work with. Flexible with styles and cost. Very accomodating. Will use them all over again.

Because of some circumstances with my new husband's job, I had to plan my wedding quickly. However, I had very specific ideas about what I wanted with flowers. Yetunde was incredibly flexible and accepted my last minute assignment. We emailed back and forth and she was by far the most responsive of all the vendors I contacted. I sent her jpeg images of some of the things I liked and descriptions of what I wanted. She provided a clearly organized and detailed quote as well as a wonderfully organized power point of all the different options she could provide for me at different price points. She was more than willing to work in my constrained budget and offered creative solutions to save some money on my flowers. I really felt like she was respecting my budget without making me feel bad about having one.

After this email exchange, we met in person to make final decisions at a late hour after I finished work. I was grateful that she agreed to meet with me at an unusual hour since I was so pressed for time. We went through every little detail and she promised me everything would be exactly as I requested. She was very easy to talk with and I completely trusted her to get the job done correctly.

The day of the wedding was in the middle of the National Cherry Blossom Festival in downtown Washington DC. The traffic was insane and the flower delivery was a little delayed. However, before I could really start to panic, Yetunde arrived with the perfect flowers of my dreams! The photos of me recieving these flowers are so cute. My face is plastered with a huge, goofy smile.

One thing that proved her quality of service was what she did with the groom's flowers. She wasn't quite satisfied with how the groom's flowers turned out so she made three different options to chose from just to make sure that I was happy! My husband loved having the choice too and thought I had planned it that way or something!

The only reasons I didn't give straight fives is that I was a little shell-shocked by the prices of wedding flowers. With that said, if you want a vendor who is contientious of this and will help you save, Bloomaffair is great. The other was my small moment of panic that the flowers wouldn't come, but really I think it was the insance traffic and the vendor communicated her regrets at that. And it didn't really end up mattering considering how happy I was with the product.

Bloom Affair was terrific to work with - Unbelievably patient, creative, flexible and kind. For this portion of planning my wedding, I welcomed the break of constantly having to micromanage. Yetunde and Miriam took care of everything from creating beautiful arrangements and bouquets, to setting up the most gorgeous ceremony-scape, and pulling off all of my wishes for reception decor. The quality of their flowers is unsurpassed, even by some of the biggest and best names in DC. I can not wait to work with them again, and recommend them to both the most discerning and demanding, and the simple and elegant. I can not thank them enough!

Bloom Affair and Yetunde did a fantastic job with the floral arrangements for our wedding and reception. The floral arrangements were more than I expected. The bridal and bridesmaid bouquets, the boutonnieres and corsages for the wedding party were beautiful. The tall aisle floral arrangements for the wedding ceremony were breath taking. The floral arrangements sitting on the gold stands were ivory color tulle on both sides of the aisle made the room for the ceremony look like we had spent a ton of money on flowers when in fact Bloom Affair is very reasonable priced and they did an outstanding job for our us. Yetunde and her staff arrived on time and had all the floral arrangements set ahead of schedule for the ceremony and they also were kind enough to stay until the ceremony was over so they can relocate the flowers from the ceremony to the tables for the reception. Yetunde is very easy to work with and she does a great job at accommodating her clients. If you are looking for a florist that is reasonable priced and will provide you with top quality floral arrangements than Bloom Affair is the florist for you. Our guests were able to take the floral arrangements home with them and enjoy the beautiful arrangements for days after the wedding was over. If you don't want to worry about the floral arrangements for your wedding than Bloom Affair and Yetunde is the right place.

As I lived out of state from the wedding site and the locale of the vendor, we did everything via email and phone. I never even met the vendor until the day of the wedding. But she worked with me and delivered what I wanted as if we had been seeing each other face to face every week. I got so many compliments on my flowers especially my bouquet. If you have a vision of what you want for your wedding, just take it to them and they will make it happen.

Working with Yetunde was a great experience. She was able to make my vision happen and worked within my budget. She was very flexible and didn't mind making changes as needed. Some florists I checked with would only work with me if I spent a minimum $ amount or only if they could also do the reception site, Bloom Affair didn't have any of these stipulations. When the flowers were delivered on the day of the event, I couldn't have been happier. Although I expected some of the arrangements to be smaller because of my limited budget, she actually went above and beyond what I expected. She even threw in a few extras such as the toss bouquet. I highly recommend this florist.
