Patrice at Bloom is truly amazing!! She is so creative and everything that leaves the shop is unique and beautiful. Patrice created our flowers for our April 9th wedding and I was speechless! They were prettier than I imagined. I wanted Patrice to use her creativity with the table arrangements and flowers for the ceremony and I am so happy I did. I couldn't have dreamed of prettier arrangements. EAch table was a little different but incorporated all of the flowers that I had asked for. She is very professional and responds to questions and concerns quickly. Her cost if competitive too. You will definitely be happy with your flowers if you go with Bloom! I am :)

Bloom did our flowers for the ceremony and reception and they were gorgeous - I wanted a bouquet of red roses and holy berries and that's exactly what I got and it was amazing! Her centerpieces were lovely and the altarpiece at the ceremony was breathtaking!

Patrice and Mary Lou of Bloom provided absolutely beautiful floral design for our wedding - and it was a destination wedding in Michigan! They flew out & scouted the site with us the day before, and Patrice was extremely responsive to my questions & requests, and those from my bridesmaids & wedding planner! She came up with elegant, creative and breathtaking designs... from my bouquet to bridesmaids' bouquets & boutonnieres, from corsages & huge arrangements for the ceremony site to the absolutely gorgeous centerpieces and welcome wreath she designed on the spot! She and Mary Lou worked tirelessly to create a gorgeous ambiance for the bridal party and our ceremony and reception locations, keeping our budget in mind and providing flawless and timely service from start to finish. They were both easy to be with and a lot of fun - and our friends and family all thoroughly enjoyed them! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Patrice and Bloom, and I'm so very grateful they were willing/able to travel out to Michigan to wow our special event!

Patrice at "Bloom" is so much fun to work with! She brings artistry and excitement to the floral arrangements for the wedding and reception. Her color visions are beautiful. We were so pleased with her contribution. She understood our needs and she was reliable and prompt.

Patrice is so awesome. The excitement and enthusiam she has for her job is completely infectious. I had a limited amount of money to spend on my flowers, and she definitely worked around my budget. She was able to create centerpieces that were absolutley stunning without looking inexpensive. They brought the theme of my reception together beautifully, and I would have to say that she is a true artist! I am so happy that I stumbled into her shop. Patrice was AMAZING!! The flowers were my favorite thing in my wedding and I couldnt have asked for the flowers to be more beautiful. Patrice was very responsive to all of my phone calls and was very flexible about scheduling. I loved my flowers, and I will most definately be refering Bloom to anyone who needs an excellent florist.

Patrice at Bloom was so great and an absolute pleasure to work with. For someone who knows not much about flowers and had no clue as to what I wanted for my wedding, Patrice listened to the other details of my wedding and made the perfect recommendation for my flowers and decor. She was so easy to talk to and she was able to work with me and make changes up till a few days before the wedding.

Because I was a hands-off bride, I didn't see any of the flowers or the arrangements beforehand, and when I arrived at my venue, I could not have been more pleased with her work. She truly is talented at her craft and helped make our day beautiful.

I plan to use Bloom for all my future flower needs!

Although we were a beach wedding and didn't require a ton of flowers, what Bloom did with my vision was PERFECT!!! I had very exotic picks in orchids & style, but she pulled them off beautifully!!! Bloom has GREAT artistic vision!!

Bloom made wonderful bridesmaids' bouquets and groomsmen's boutonnières. My bride's bouquet was not exactly what we had discussed, however. Also, there was some confusion a couple weeks prior to the wedding as to costs and types of flowers to be used, but Bloom was good about righting any wrongs. Patrice is somewhat difficult to get a hold of, however, so if you need a florist that is at your beck and call, Bloom might not be right for you.

Patrice was very nice and very professional. Her florist is full of pictures of the work she has done. She is obviously very proud and should be. She allowed me to pick up my flowers for my bridal portrait on a Sunday even though they are typically closed. My only complaints was the price (a little expensive) and sometimes she took a little while to respond to my emails. And then when I would talk to her on the phone and I would recall things from my emails she never remembered them. It seemed like someone else responded to her emails. But other than that- my flowers were beautiful, exactly what I asked for.

They had no problem making changes to my order as my plans evolved, and the final product turned out well, if not exactly what I was expecting.

Bloom doesn't wonderful work! We really were happy with the way that the flowers turned out however, the service was unfortunately the down fall. They had to deliver one day early because they wouldn't deliver on a Sunday (which no one told us until about 1 month before the wedding). They assured us that all we would have to do it put the stems in a small bit of water and they would be fine - but the morning of the wedding we looked at them and the water had soaked into the burlap that was around the stems (the brown burlap from the underneath dyed the ivory burlap). We had to rewrap them all, which among other things isn't something we made time for. The design of the flowers was amazing, but we were really upset we couldn't count on a worry free delivery the day of the wedding.

I would love to be able to rate Bloom as having been an excellent choice for wedding flowers, but I cannot. I have seen the flower arrangements advertised both online on their website, and in person in their shop and because of this I was expecting much more than what I got. Don't get me wrong... they were pretty flowers, but you can get better service and just as good if not better quality from ANYWHERE else.

We had a small beach wedding with 25 people, and only one bridesmaid as part of our wedding party. Because we were not having an elaborate over-the-top wedding overall, I wanted to have some really beautifully done flowers. All I ordered was 1 bridal bouquet, 1 smaller bouquet for my 1 bridesmaid, 2 boutonnières, and 4 corsages. Thats not a lot! But man the pricetag was: They charged us over $395 for that order! And they want it up front... Yes people, that is American dollars.

Not only that, but I made this small order more than 3 months ahead of time... yet they would not even consider delivering in any form unless it was the day before the wedding because, I was told, they had just booked a much bigger wedding than mine and would be rendering their services that day to that other wedding. So if I wanted my flowers, I had to personally pick them up on the DAY OF my wedding during the time slot that THEY GAVE ME on my own wedding day.

IN ADDITION to that.... once I arrived to pick up the flowers at the time indicated, Patrice was no where to be found (she was at her bigger, more important wedding). So this left the responsibility in the hands of some other woman who worked there who was an absolute mess and had no business dealing with people on the most important day of their lives. SHE HANDED ME THE BOUQUETS and basically said "Have a Nice Day"... yes thats right, just put one bouquet in each of my hands and expected me to be on my way!!!! Unfortunately for her, my mother was with me- who proceded to let her know how unprofessional she was and that she needed to wrap the flowers and boutineers up somehow, which she did not even do. We found a box laying behind the flower refrigerator and had to lay the flowers inside and just PRAY they did not get smashed or wilt before the wedding which was more than 4 hours away....

Look.... I could go on forever about this place because once I got my flowers my day had been practically ruined.... Not only was the service bad, but the flowers were HARDLY what I had asked for, and HARDLY what I was promised. The size of my bridal bouquet was the size I had expected the bridesmaids to be.... Very disappointing, especially when you are being charged for what SHOULD be immaculate flowers.

Their photos might look pretty online, but Im telling you.... you can get just as good of quality FROM ANYWHERE... and I mean that... go to the grocery store, buy some flowers, and make your own bouquet. YOU WILL SAVE SO MUCH MONEY AND THE QUALITY WILL BE JUST AS GOOD. Get creative. Or go to another florist, But please, for your own sakes, DO NOT rely on this florist to do anything for you except RIP YOU OFF!

Yeah, Bloom might have some decent reviews from people on here who had a good experience with them.... but lets get serious, Is this something you are REALLY willing to risk having to deal with on your wedding day?!?!?!?!?!? For me it wasn't, which is why I went to Bloom who had a great reputation in the area, and I agreed to the ridiculous bill, and I expected to get my money's worth since I was not ordering a lot.... but as Ive told you, thats not what happened at all.

I, too, was attracted to Bloom, The Art of the Flowers for the creativity and design of Patrice. With 2 consultations, I believe we had thought of some amazing flower arrangements for my wedding reception in October. Unfortunately, what we planned did not happen.

As is sometimes the case, Patrice said some of the most interesting design elements were delivered to her "dead" so she decided not to use them. Instead of notifying me or coming up with an alternative, she let it go leaving a lackluster arrangement.

With the amount of money I paid, I was deeply disappointed. My flowers were not spectacular. They were boring. All the creativity we had discussed was missing.

After the wedding, I spoke with Patrice and all she said was, "sorry." Well, I was sorry too, I was sorry I invested so much money in lame flower arrangements.

If you choose to go with Patrice, make sure you get every element you want in writing - typed out. Her handwriting is not legible so I don't think she even can read her own notes. I would also make sure *she* is doing the arrangements and not someone else. I believe that was part of the problem with my flowers.

I made a contract with Patrice D. of Bloom the art of flowers for my wedding. she promised that i would love everything about my flowers, and i was really excited. when i received my mock bouquet, she told me the size of my mock bouquet would actually be the real size of my bridesmaids bouquets and that my bouquet would be much larger. the day of the wedding, the mock bouquet size was NOT the size of my bridesmaids bouquets, it was the size of my wedding day bouquet(small) and my bridesmaids bouquets were even smaller than originally promised. Patrice also added flowers into my bouquet that i told her NOT to add and i have an email from her stating that she FORGOT i told her that. Patrice added ugly leaves around my bouquet that were NOT a part of the original mock bouquet and my friend had to take my flowers to Harris teeter to fix them. When i called Patrice about this issue, she did not answer her phone. I also had ordered 8 center pieces for my reception at Mona Lisa Pizza in Norfolk. by the time my husband and i got to our reception around 6pm, ALL MY CENTERPIECES WERE DEAD AND BROWN. i have plenty of pictures for proof. my friends Glen and Courtney had picked my flowers up from Bloom at around 12pm and dropped them off at Monas at around 1230. Servers at Monas told me around 3pm, the flowers were starting to wilt and again, by the time i got there at 6, they were dead and disgusting. i was so embarrased. when i took these pictures and complaints to Patrice, she refunded me $500.00 for my troubles. i originally paid over $1000.00 for her services so i was pretty satisfied with the $500.00 refund. after depositing the check from Patrice and spending some of our money, she calls me to tell me that the flowers dying were NOT her fault and she started to blame Mona Lisas for them dying so quickly. she started to point the finger at my friends also saying there was no way they could have died that easily and that my friends had to have kept them in the car until the reception. i was really offended. she did not take responsibility for her mess up and i was really hurt and angry. She demanded that i give her her money back. what she did was she put a stop on her check and my account was then overdrawn. she then sent me a check for $200.00 saying that she would pay for the mess up with my bouquet which costs me $145.00 and the rest was for my inconvenience. 55 dollars for my INCONVENIENCE?!?! i was outraged. i will never forgive her for what she did to my husband and i. frankly, i was so embarrased about my flowers. she will never get a referral from me. i just want what is rightfully ours and that is a complete refund. im writing this because i dont want this to happen to anyone else.i am an easy going person, but patrice just saw me as dollar signs and did not care about my feelings at all. whatever, i feel bad for her because i reported her to the bbb. beware.

Bloom is definitely one of the best in the business. Phenomenal artistry! And so easy to work with. We highly recommend them to our most discerning clients!!!
