I just wanted to say thank you for everything. I loved the flowers and thought you implemented the vision perfectly. It was so wonderful and I was REALLY happy with it all. I hope that we can work together again in the future.

We got married this May at the Marina on a windy day. I was worried thinking that my flowers would fall apart or blow away. Renee and her crew have amazing skills with how to care with flowers. My gazebo looked AMAZING and all my arrangements were PERFECT. The place looked so BEAUTIFUL. I kept getting compliments on the center pieces. Her prices are affordable. Her ideas are very elegant, and not cheap looking. I would recommend Blooming Designs to any bride.

Renee the sole owner of Blooming Designs is very easy to work with. She listens to your ideas and then helps you make them better. She does not have a shop where you go to look at the flowers, but will meet you somewhere convenient to show you pictures of her past events. This for me was a selling point as she had worked with our venue and had pictures of what it could look like with her flowers. She was great about working with our budget and showed up exactly at the time she was supposed to be there. The final product was beautiful. Our wedding party and our guests had nothing but positive comments on our flowers.
She does not currently have a web site, but is in the process of building one so that you can see her gorgeous flower creations online. When she gets that done, I know she is going to be hard to book as she is that good.

I chose Renee based on drunkenknitter's review below and also after interviewing several florists. She showed me her designs, many of which are beautiful and innovative and was able to quote me a reasonable price, which was important to my budget. In hindsight, I think Renee works best with brides who don't have a lot of their own ideas for the flowers. And, I didn't think I DID have a lot of ideas! I found her frustrating to work with due to her poor organizational skills. It seemed like every time we spoke, I was repeating to her all the same things we had gone over before...it was like she took all these notes and then just threw them away or something. I found myself saying, "Remember? I said NO ORCHIDS. NO scattered rose petals. Remember?" So, after LOTS of conversations and passing the invoice back and forth, I thought we had it all straightened out. BUT on my wedding day, I had some disappointments. She definitely works with the flowers that are available, and this is how she works within your budget. So, if you have your heart set on a particular flower, don't use Renee. I didn't want roses in bouquet, I wanted some other kind of orange flower, but I ended up with terra cotta roses. I wanted orange renunculas and burgundy gerberas for the reception arrangement and in the mock-up the colors were reversed. She said it was based on availability and she would try...well, you guessed it, I got the reverse on the big day. This is not that big of a deal. What was more disheartening was looking down from the choir loft at my church flowers, which were supposed to be mainly cream-colored with a touch of orange, burgundy, or eggplant and seeing no cream at all. What I saw were brightly colored arrangments of orange, burgundy, etc., just like what I had specified for the reception. She did get the colors right for the reception, also, but what was scattered EVERYWHERE??? Rose petals. And I must have said it three or four times, NO ROSE PETALS. To be fair, lots of people said the flowers were beautiful and one person even asked for her name. But, it just wasn't what I had specifically asked for and in my opinion, she should have delivered what the customer wanted.

Renee was fabulous. She was able to work well within my budget, and our flowers were gorgeous. I'll be honest, shopping for flowers was not a high priority of mine; no one cares about the flowers except the bride, and I was a pretty carefree bride, so I couldn't really be asked to give much input. She had fab ideas, and I have to admit, I really loved the flowers. My only input was that I wanted red gerberas used a lot, especially in my bouquet, and I wanted my girls to have multicolored gerberas, and they were gorgeous!
