Blooms By The Box
I used Blooms by the Box to make a bridal bouquet, bridesmaid bouquets and boutonnieres. I bought the following: dusty miller, antique pink garden roses, pink ranunculus, vendela cream roses and esperence pink roses. Ordering is easy, pricing is competitive and they have a lot of selection. The flowers arrived as planned and they were prepared per the instructions. The esperance roses and ranunculus were very nice, a few dead/closed/unusable but I was still overall very pleased with the quality. The vendela cream roses were stunning! These were used in the boutonnieres and I probably should have changed my plans and used them as the flower for my bridal bouquet since they were so beautiful but I didnt order enough to do that. Anyway I was most excited about the antique pink garden roses for my bridal bouquet and I was unfortunately the most disappointed in these. We were instructed to buy the garden roses at least 2 days in advance to allow for them to open. We followed all care instructions and instead of opening and becoming more beautiful they got more droopy, brown and did not open at all. Instead droopy petals were falling off my bouquet the night before the wedding as I was putting it together. It was too late at that point to make a complaint or get something else so I just went with it, but I was sad I didnt get the gorgeous pink garden rose bouquet I had envisioned. The dusty miller was also quite droopy although I have never worked with this plant before so that may be the nature of the plant. We only used a little dusty miller for the boutonnieres and it worked ok but if I had to do it again I would pick a sturdier accent plant to use for boutonnieres. Overall I was pleased and saved money doing the flowers myself, and I did realize that it was a gamble buying flowers online. If I had to do it again I would, but probably pick a different flower for my bouquet or order a "trial run" beforehand to see what the flowers look like in real life.
Horrible experience with this company! We were trying to save money by ordering wholesale and putting all centerpieces and bouquets together ourselves and that was a big mistake when ordering through blooms by the box. Several of the roses we ordered were rotten, and all of the other roses, hydrangeas and baby's breath had lots of brown streaks and spots on them and several of them were wilted. We were able to salvage a few of the flowers but not many. We had to place a rush order with a local florist to have her put together bouquets, corsages, boutonnière, and centerpiece flowers. Tried getting a full refund from the company since we had to pay the local florist an additional large amount of money, so pretty much paid for flowers twice, but blooms by the box only refunded about 1/3 of my order because they couldn't tell by the 20 pictures of bad flowers that I sent them that ALL the flowers weren't usable. I didn't care that we were able to use a few of the flowers, the fact that we had all of this extra hassle and expense two days before the wedding WAS RIDICULOUS! Don't ever think you will save money by ordering through them, just go ahead and order through a florist who actually cares about your wedding. Thank you.

Blooms By The Box has built a solid reputation for providing the best customer service available among our peers. Our highest priority is to take every step possible to respond to customers’ requests to their complete satisfaction. Despite our best efforts, however, sometimes this is not possible. Anonymous was immediately refunded for items for which she sent photos that were clearly damaged, as well as for some that were simply in need of rehydration and preparation. Unfortunately, she demanded a refund not just for the unusable product in keeping with Bloom’s refund policies, but also for the undamaged flowers and supplies she received and kept, as well as compensation to pay for a florist to create her arrangements. Despite numerous emails between our staff and management with Anonymous, we weren’t able to reach a reasonable resolution. We do regret that Anonymous was not happy with our efforts to mediate this problem, but it was not for a lack of trying.
Blooms by the box made it really easy to get our flowers for a low price. Our flowers were beautiful and very well packaged, so there were very few with damage (even the fragile Lilies). Since so few were damaged we were able to add them to the cake (we'd over bought to be sure we'd have enough good blooms). My sister (and family) put together our bouquets, etc. and she was very impressed by the quality of the packaging and flowers themselves. She does a lot of work with flowers, but wasn't sure about how safe shipping them would be. I'm sure she'll be using Blooms By the Box the next time she needs fresh flowers.
I honestly can't judge the responsiveness and flexibility because I didn't call to question anything or ask for change, but I didn't want to give it any less than a 5-star overall rating. My mom was extremely nervous about me doing my own flowers and the quality of flowers that were shipped. I ordered 100 roses along with 3 bunches of ferns, 2 bunches of baby's breath, and one bunch of some random purple flower. I think I had 5 bad roses in the entire bunch. I did 5 bridesmaids bouquets (5 or 6 roses in each), 9 boutineers (one rose), 16 centerpieces (1 rose each) and my bridal bouquet. If i hadn't told people, I don't think they would have every guessed I did them myself. I practiced a bouquet with grocery store roses a few months prior, so I knew it was easy enough. I would definitely recommend Blooms by the Box. I spent just over $200 and probably coud have spent less (I could have gotten by with 1 bunch of ferns and possibly just 75 roses) but it was worth spending a little extra to make sure I had enough. I could only imagine what it would have cost to go to a florist, and then I would not have gotten them exactly how I envisioned them.
I ordered flowers from Blooms by the Box for my recent wedding. The flowers were shipped in one day and I received them all nicely packaged in one big box. I did have some trouble with the Astilbe (they were mostly dried up) and a few of the hydrangeas (they started turning brown that same day) but I emailed customer service and was issued a refund for those flowers. The majority of the flowers were beautiful though and are still looking great several days later! To sum up, this company is great: quick shipping and beautiful flowers for very good prices and wonderful customer service! I would recommend ordering slightly more flowers than you need in case some don't arrive in top condition (and with something as delicate as cut flowers I am sure this is inevitable).
Blooms by the Box sent such beautiful flowers! My bridesmaids and I had a fun time arranging them on the Friday before the wedding. I was blown away as soon as we opened the box, and it was hard to contain my excitement. I wanted to smell and admire every variety! We ended up mixing in some wild queen anne's lace from the field behind our hotel, and the results were stunning. I truly believe that our arrangements, bouquets and boutonnieres were better than any florist could have done!
The yellow/orange roses we ordered wre absolutly gorgeous. They stayed fresh and lively even a couple days after the wedding. My black bacurra roses went limp rather quickly, and another box of roses we ordered came rotted. In defense of bloomsbythebox, it was an incredibly hot day, the day they were shipped and they did refund my account as soon as I contacted them and sent them pics.
I would not have been able to afford flowers at my wedding had I went with a florist, so going wholesale was my only option. I really think, had my wedding been in winter the flowers would have been in much better condition.

We are so sorry about this case. In an effort to avoid the heat damage during this severe heat wave we upgraded all shipping on orders. Unfortunately this order did not make it as well as we had hoped. Sometimes there are things beyond our control in nature and we understand the disappointed and issued a refund right away. This was a rare occurrence and we strive to overcome these issues as best we can.
I am very happy with my decision to order flowers wholesale through bloomsbythebox.com. I got a lot more for a lot less than I would have had I used a professional florist. I purchased one of the wedding packs (the one with roses and hydrangea) and supplemented it with some extra roses and lisianthus. I used the online chat feature to help my decisions, and they were very helpful without being pushy. I asked if I should just order two of the wedding packs, and was told that it would probably be "overkill." I appreciated that they weren't just concerned with the size of my order.
I ordered the flowers for a Thursday delivery for my Saturday event. Since my event was on Saturday NIGHT, I was a little concerned that the flowers would open too quickly and would already be looking shriveled by Saturday evening, so I kept them in cooler water in a dark room. I shouldn't have worried. The flowers still looked beautiful two days after the event. If anything, I wish I had allowed them to bloom a little sooner.
Also, I wish I had removed the roses from their cardboard packaging earlier. I read that they could be left in bunches, and it was fine, but I lost a few stems due to water trapped in the cardboard. If you get roses, unpack them fully right away.
I ordered purple freesia and lily grass to use in my bridal bouquet. Why? Because some sites charge unreal prices for freesia and/or require a huge quantity only. Blooms by the box offered exactly what I needed at the right price. I called the day my flowers were scheduled to ship to get the delivery information. Their customer service was too laid back and not very professional. They didn't have that information for me at the time, something about it being ready after 3pm. I did receive an email later that day with the tracking information.
Here is my complaint. Why ship something with overnight delivery if you aren't going to specify a deliver by time on the package!? My flowers sat in a hot delivery truck from 8am until 7pm when they finally got delivered. The courier was behind schedule but that wasn't his fault, it was the fault of bloomsbythebox.com for not making it a priority.
The freesia was looking pretty sad by the time they arrived. Some of them came back to life overnight in water, but many of them were too far gone to use. If they changed their delivery method and ensured a delivery time deadline, I might actually recommend them.

We are sorry the hear about this unfortunate situation! Blooms always strives for professionalism and the most responsive customer service. Our reps are unable to provide shipment information before 3pm because we wait as long as possible to initiate shipments to ensure the best possible flower freshness. As such, tracking numbers aren’t generated until we ship at 3pm.
As far as delivery time, I can see that this shipment did arrive very late. We use UPS to ship orders Next Day Air which is intended to deliver by end of day for residential addresses, typically around 3:00 pm. The customer here indicated that the UPS courier had made a mistake, which explains the unusual drop off time.
Of course, flowers are perishable, and such delays – however rarely – do happen. Blooms By The Box has a very generous replace/refund policy. Even in the case of shipping errors beyond our control, we do our best to remedy any unsatisfactory orders. Unfortunately this customer never contacted us about her freesia. If she had called or emailed within 24 hours of the delivery we would have either shipped out a replacement immediately or issue a refund so she could find something locally if she was not comfortable with receiving another shipment.
We do pride ourselves on having some of the best customer satisfaction reviews in the industry, and we always make it our top priority to provide not only the highest quality product, but also the best wholesale flower shopping experience, to all of our customers
Great service. Flowers were beautiful and worth the (reasonable) price.
I used a mix of Blooms By the Box flowers and some local flowers for my wedding. Blooms By the Box had an amazing variety including all sorts of specialty flowers that I had a hard time ordering locally (e.g., Bells of Ireland, Snapdragons). The Blooms By the Box flowers were fresh, beautiful, perfectly packed, and were delivered right on time with free shipping! I was very happy with my overall experience.
I had a very good experience with Blooms by the Box. Leading up to the wedding the few people I spoke to on their hotline were very helpful with suggestions. I really did not know what I was getting into and they were willing to look at links I sent and photos I sent to help me create the exact centerpiece that I found online. Even when the power went out on the east coast (due to the hurricane!) they were answering the hotline from their personal cell phones. That is dedication! When my flowers arrived I was so excited. I ordered way more than I needed but was glad to have extras. It was definitely a lot of work, but I set my friends up in a room and they had the flowers done in vases in about 2.5 hours! The only downside to ordering online is obviously some of the stress in not knowing what to expect and having a few of the flowers (maybe 3-5) not be blooming enough by the wedding day. Overall, great company I highly recommend.
Flowers were so fresh and lovely. We were very pleased. We had small issue with petals which was corrected in a timely manner. I would use this vendor again for sure. We spent $500 for local flowers- then $500 from bloomsbythebox.com and the value was much better!!
I used Blooms by the Box for my centerpieces. They were beautiful! I had hydrangeas and were worried they would wilt easily, but I followed the advice from a customer service rep about how to cut and re-hydrate hydrangeas, and they did PERFECTLY! I would recommend doing a trial run. I did and it gave me a MUCH more realistic view of what I was up against and what had to be done. But overall, I was very happy with Blooms by the Box.
I ordered three different flowers for my wedding. The main ones were the large open calla lilies (the expensive kind). I was using fake flowers in the centerpieces but I had live ones for the bride and bridesmaids bouquets as well as the MOB and MOG's coursages and the boutineers for the groomsmen. They came as planned and we immediately followed all of the instructions. The wedding was on Sunday and they came on Friday. The flowers were closed as the instructions said they would be. By the time wedding happened, they hadn't opened up and they were starting to turn brown. We did follow ALL of the instructions to the tee considering how expensive they were. We had to go out and buy different flowers because the flowers were dead and looked like crap. Considering it was a Sunday, all florists were closed and we bought white roses from the grocery store. The other two flowers were beautiful and worked out very well. I contacted the company and they said they could give me a refund but I got too wrapped up in moving, the marriage, and a pregnancy that I never followed through. Even if I did get a refund, the amount of frustration that comes with finding dead flowers on the morning of your wedding is a horrible feeling. I would be very cautious before using this company. The roses and the other two flowers were enough to make beautiful bouquets.
They were an awesome alternative to a florist. I did my own centerpieces and bouquet and they turned out great! The only thing, the flowers were a little wilted and even when I hydrated them they never came fully back. They have a huge variety! I warn you that the flowers can be shipped to arrive in short notice, but the petals take 5 days! Be sure to call and ask how long it really will take to arrive.
Bloomsbythebox.com was an amazing find for me. I wanted gorgeous flowers, but REFUSED to pay the overpriced charges of florists.
I ordere hydrangea, white roses, and white spider mums from this company. They arrived expertly packed and in amazing condition.
Our flowers were healthy and HUGE! We followed all care instructions, and they looked beautiful on our wedding day. People were shocked to hear we'd arranged ourselves.
I spent less than $300 for all of my wedding flowers. It was VERY high quality stuff and I feel I got an amazing deal.
One other perk - orders over $100 get FREE SHIPPING to many east coast states! It was a huge money saver!
I do recommend ordering a test bunch of the various flowers you are considering so you can SEE what they look like and play with them. This helped me make final decisions, as well as calculate how much I would need of what!
Ordering from Blooms by the Box was incredibly easy. I probably ordered a little too many flowers, but it was still very cheap. The flowers arrived on time, in great condition, and looked beautiful all weekend and for weeks after the wedding! Customer service was great and responded to questions quickly.
We ordered a wedding pack (100 roses in two colors: cream and yellow) with filler flowers (baby's breath, etc.) as well as 20 mini calla lilies. Before ordering, I called the company a few times to ask about their delivery service and other info. Every time I called I was connected with a service representative (no automated messages). The service rep was very knowledgeable and patient with my lack of experience with flowers, she gave me great flower care instructions, advised me on when to place the order and when to get the flowers delivered (Thursday) for my Saturday wedding.
The flowers were delivered to the hotel that all the guests stayed at. I wasn't actually there to receive the box, but when I saw them later that night, they looked great, they were all alive and well, no wilting flowers. One thing that I noticed was that the yellow roses and the yellow calla lilies didn't match at all, but that wasn't the company's fault, I should've inquired about that beforehand.
We bought the thorn stripper from Blooms by the Box which worked really well, the roses don't come de-thorned so you need the thorn stripper for sure.
The calla lilies were pretty expensive, which is why it only receives 4/5 stars, but overall, I would buy flowers from them again.
I'm an event planner who originally stumbled on this company while surfing for items for a bride's wedding. I've used them a few times when my customers have me do their floral decor. I've had very good results with their flowers and will continue to use them when the need arises.
I ordered 150 white roses for centerpieces. I was extremely nervous about the whole process of timing the arrival and giving them enough time to open up and prep them. I was also very concerned about the weather being that it was 90 plus degrees in July. Blooms by the Box called me and asked if I wanted to upgrade shipping so the flowers would arrive in the morning instead of the hot afternoon. I was thankful that they made this recommendation and I upgraded the shipping. I couldn't have been happier with the results! I had the flowers delivered two days before the wedding and prepared them as instructed. The flowers opened up and were so full and beautiful. Everyone loved them. I would definitely use them again and recommend Blooms by the Box to anyone.
I ordered flowers from Blooms By The Box for my June wedding and I couldn't have been happier! I ordered hydrangeas, a ton of roses, calla lilies, and some greenery. Everything was so fresh and beautiful. I would recommend Blooms By The Box to any DIY Bride out there, great customer service too!
Awful! Ordered our flowers wholesale and they showed up wilted. I expected this and followed all instructions they gave to make sure they bloomed. After 5 days our calla lilies never bloomed! I had to buy flowers for our whole wedding party the morning of the wedding. I suggest no one buy wholesale, and especially not from this venue. They were basically dead when they arrived. I lost a lot of money doing it this way, and it caused a great hassle I didnt need on the big day.

We're certainly very sorry to see Tarena's review, and even more so that her wedding day was less than perfect. BloomsByTheBox.com prides itself on outstanding customer service and enjoys a great reputation for top-quality support and prompt response and problem-solving.
First and foremost, (no excuses!) flowers are indeed perishable, and there a number of factors beyond our control that can affect flower condition. Of course, it can't be the customer's problem, so we have a Quality Guarantee simply unmatched by our competitors. Had Tarena contacted us in the days before her wedding, we would have immediately rectified the situation, providing replacement flowers at no cost or a full refund -- her choice.
The BloomsByTheBox Quality Guarantee is prominently displayed on the website, as well as within the order packaging. We don't know why, but Tarena has never contacted BloomsByTheBox about her May 11 order, choosing instead to post this review some months later. We do wish she had, because we are certain that we would have far exceeded her expectations if we'd gotten the chance, and there would have been no sour note on her special day.
At BloomsByTheBox.com, we're live people available by phone to help, whether with order issues or just help planning! Just visit our site at www.BloomsByTheBox.com and see our customer testimonials and inspiring customer gallery to see why we have such an outstanding record for Customer Service.
As for not buying wholesale, we have to disagree (obviously ;) ). While it's not for everyone, buying wholesale flowers and creating your own arrangements can add a very special element to your wedding AND save hundreds of dollars over florists. An elegant hand-tied rose bouquet is easy to create, and costs under $50. A florist will charge three to four times that for the same thing!!
So don't shy away from the idea of do-it-yourself wedding flowers. A little careful planning and a high-quality, reliable supplier like BloomsByTheBox.com will save you hundreds of dollars on your wedding!
Half the flowers I ordered online (bloomsbythebox.com) got stuck in New Jersey, and although I got a replacement box quickly, I still had to sit around for another day waiting for UPS to deliver them, when I could have been doing really important stuff. Also, bloomsbythebox.com later grudgingly refunded about 30% of the flowers after telling me on the phone the day of the disaster that they would gladly refund me half my order.

WeddingWire was not able to provide us any information that would help Blooms identify the order to allow us to speak directly the events in this post, so we can only speak in generalities.
Shipping errors do happen, and while they are not in Blooms' control we do take full responsibility for correcting them. The poster indicates that she got an immediate re-ship, which would have been done at the customer's direction (we offer immediate replacement or full refund). I can't speak to the amount of the credit because I can't see any records of matching her description at the time around her wedding, but Blooms is always very generous on our refund and credit policies. Please keep in mind that the bride did receive and use all of the flowers ordered, and also got a significant (whether 30 or 50%) portion of her costs back as well. We understand that the delays cause inconvenience and stress and we do try our best to remedy unfortunate circumstances.
My sister used BloomsByTheBox.com for her wedding flowers and they were so beautiful! They came to our door when they said they would, we cut them and put them in water and we were all speechless. None of us were expecting too much because we went with DIY flowers to save money. But BloomsByTheBox.com flowers were nothing like what we expected. We were literally blown away. We bought roses, lilies, call lilies and greenery and they were all spectacular. Now I'm going to use them again for my wedding! You should definitely give them a try!
We received your flowers and they were absolutely beautiful and lush. The centerpieces we made for my daughter's bridal shower were exquisite. Thank you for helping make the day an huge success. I hope to avail myself of your services again some time in the future.
Thank you guys for the beautiful fresh flowers I received yesterday!! This was my first time ordering from you. They arrived a little after 2:30 but they were worth the wait! I will send pictures from the wedding ASAP! Thanks again!
Your flowers were a hit. Everyone was amazed by the fact we arranged everything ourselves. When they arrived by UPS I was thrilled by how beautiful and fresh everything was. The help I received over the phone when I needed to adjust my order was phenomenal. I am telling EVERYONE I know to go through your company for their supply needs. I can't wait to use your services again! Thank you from the bride.
Thank you very much! My orchids arrived beautifully. My arrangements were a huge hit at the wedding and had a professional florist asking which florist I worked for. This is great since I just do arrangements for fun!!
Thank you so very much for all of your help in ordering the flowers, for the 10% coupon and having patience with me on my first flower centerpieces. It was a pleasure dealing with you and your company. In the future, I will most definitely order from blooms by the box again and again.
I recently purchased 50 Cream Vendela roses to use as memorial roses for my Mother's service. She adored roses and I wanted to DO something for her. As per instructed I had them delivered two days before the event and kept them boxed in a cool place. On the morning of the event I cut the stems stripped the leaves, thorns and protective petals from them. I added a poem on a small card and tied it to each rose with a gold ribbon. We had purchased very economical tall faux bronze containers add a craft store and filled each with 25 of the roses. As instructed we did not even add water. These roses sat at each side of my Mother's urn during the ceremony and were absolutely stunning! I am so happy we decided not to use a florist. Every guest made comments on the roses and were happy to receive one. The extras I took home and finally put in water lasted for 2 weeks! I will never purchase flowers from anywhere else than Blooms by the Box!
Blooms by the Box never disappoints, their products are impeccable.
I love Blooms By the Box! I have used them many times and their flower quality is excellent! As a floral designer for weddings, my brides and their families always rave over the quality of the bouquets, centerpieces, etc. I highly recommend them to anyone needing flowers and I will continue to order my stock from them for the weddings and events I plan! I especially love their hydrangeas and their customer service is OUTSTANDING!!! Denise Galanakis Barefoot to Black Tie Events- NYC/ Tri -State area
