Worth every penny and not expensive! Service was great from beginning to end. The video was better than I could imagine and really turned out professional looking . The videographer was so great to work with and I felt that he really cared about capturing our day perfectly. For example he came to our wedding rehearsal just so he could figure out the best way to capture our ceremony. He also came early to our wedding and took extra footage. He also worked with my photographer to create a beautiful cover for our video which included pictures from our wedding. He also worked with my DJ to get the music from my ceremony to make it sound better on the video. He didn't miss any important moments in the weddings. I could go on and on, but basically he was a wonderful videographer to work with and I would definitely recommend him to everyone.

We've had a great experience working with Andy and his team. Throughout the entire process, from planning to the day of to post-wedding, Andy has been extremely professional and accommodating. We were very impressed with the finished product. Andy and his crew (I think there was one other videographer filming that day) captured many of the details and candid moments that were not captured by our photographer. Even though we did not opt for High Definition, the picture quality was excellent and surprisingly, super clear. The finished product was a DVD which had the "unabridged" version of the day's events (including the ceremony in its entirety and the "meaty" parts of the reception - first dance, speeches, cake-cutting, father-daughter dance, etc), a photo montage of slides we provided him (played to the music that we selected), and a "highlights" (reader's digest) version of the big day. The editing was well done and and the video did a very good job of telling the story, such that someone who may not have attended the wedding could watch the video and would still have a good sense of how the day went. Andy and his team for the most part stayed in the background but were somehow able to capture a lot of the moments close-up. We were so happy with the DVD, we've asked for more copies! Thanks, Andy!

Andy at Blue Moon Productions was simply fantastic. He was super helpful and professional, even when my mother and I were frantically asking him every question we could think of. But the proof of Andy's greatness is in our wedding DVD, which is absolutely incredible. He somehow managed to capture not only our vows with perfect audio as well as the other "big parts" of the wedding, but he also caught some great candid moments that both my husband and I had completely forgotten about. There's this great scene at the end of the reception of my husband and I singing our last dance song to each other as everyone else mills around-- so adorable. We had Andy Hirsch for our videographer. He did an excellent job with videotaping our wedding ceremony and reception. It was really important to us to have lots of dancing and there was a lot of dancing footage in our video. He was on time and very professional. We received our video montage before the wedding day so we could show it at our rehearsal dinner. He asked us to give him songs to include in the wedding video but we didn't really have particular songs we wanted. Since Andy videotapes weddings and special occasions for a living, we asked him to pick the songs. He made excellent song choices and we were very pleased. He always returned phone calls promptly. We were married in mid August and received our wedding video four months later. All in all, we had a very positive experience with Andy Hirsch.

Rob and I feel fortunate to have met Andy at a tasting/preview evening at the Los Gatos Opera House. We had already booked the Opera House for our reception and were thankful to be able to meet a number of the Opera House’s preferred vendors during the event. We spoke with Andy and liked his energy and professionalism immediately. We previewed his website the next day and were impressed with the quality of his work. We scheduled a meeting with him and booked him for our wedding that day. We were so happy with Andy we felt it would be a waste of time to interview anyone else.

Andy has a lot of energy, is a genuine and thoughtful guy, and a FANTASTIC editor. Filming is such a small part of his job. After working for an editing company in LA for a few years I feel qualified to vouch for his talent and creativity. He cut a four-minute “highlights” video for us that really captures the spirit of our wedding and the personalities of everyone involved in the day. Andy Hirsch was the videographer for our wedding this past July, 2009. My husband and I couldn’t be more pleased with our wedding video. It is a classy and creative cinematic review of our most precious moments. Our ceremony was held at Grace Cathedral and our reception followed at the Mark Hopkins Hotel. Andy was able to capture the classic San Francisco charm and the overall atmosphere while simultaneously capturing people looking their best. Andy is not only extremely professional and organized, but also very talented. He has wedding videography down to a science and incorporated film production techniques I have seen in movies and television. My favorite features include the various sound bites, time-lapses, split-screen detail shots, the pacing of the images and the soundtrack as well as the variation of camera angles and fluid shots all of which helped to tell our wedding story.

Beyond our wedding video, Andy also produced our childhood picture montage which we showed at our rehearsal dinner. Andy was present to set up, show and strike the entire production. Andy was so personable with all of our guests and made the entire process painless. We appreciated Andy being so flexible and easy to work with both of our video productions.

Andy at Blue Moon was absolutely fabulous. I was totally shocked when I got the video because it was so professional. It had chapters and it was as if we were watching a professional DVD.

Probably the best part though was how unintrusive he was at the wedding. I barely even knew he was there but he still got the best shots. There is nothing worse then a videographer who sticks a big light in your guests faces. Andy just had a small camera with a small light on it and it was all he needed to get great lighting and video of all the great moments.

Our video is currently being shown at The Opera House in Los Gatos where we had our wedding. If you go to their front office you'll see a flatscreen and our video is most likely playing. (No, I'm not being paid to plug The Opera House....just nice to know you can go somewhere to see his work.)

We planned our wedding in California from across the country. Photography and videography were two of the most important things to us, so we spent a LOT of time reading reviews online. We read rave reviews about Blue Moon Productions and decided to get in touch with Andy. He was patient with our questions and reasonably priced so we hired him! To say that he was professional is an understatement! We barely would have noticed him; except that he came to introduce himself after the ceremony (we got the documentary ceremony edit package). Despite a difficult set-up, with crazy angles he was a one-man film crew! He managed to unobtrusively create a vivid and sound balanced video capturing our ceremony, and the personalized cover was just gorgeous! Our only regret-- he encouraged us to get the short film package, which would have included the highlights of the day. We should have listened to him. The groom did a garter toss dance that was unbelievable. He could have launched his dance career from it and we don’t have a shred of evidence of it.

We were completely blown away by our wedding video! It exceeded all of our expectations and was emotional, professional, and well done. The highlights bit was great! We live in London, but had our wedding in California, so I found Andy by searching the internet and we booked him without even meeting once after reading all the great reviews! The first time we met was at our wedding day! He was always responsive and helpful. Originally, I didn't even want to get a videographer, but it turned out to be the best decision we made. Blue Moon Productions was unlike any other wedding video vendor that we looked at. We did not receive a 'wedding video', but rather a 'movie' that captured the true essence of the day. All of our friends and family were in awe of the final product. The cinematography was amazing, and along with the soundtrack of music that we chose, we could not have been happier with our final product. Having Andy shoot your wedding is like having a Hollywood filmmaker capture the day.I would recommend paying extra to get all of the footage put on a separate hard drive.
