Bridal Couture of Birmingham/Plymouth

I've been shopping for my wedding dress for the last few months; Bridal Couture was the first store I went to and after looking at other stores I decided to take my mom, mother-in-law, aunt, sister and grandma back to Bridal Couture once I narrowed it down to a few options; that day I decided to purchased my dress!

I was extremely overwhelmed when I made my decision and was having second thoughts; Bridal Couture called me to confirm the sash color and I thought it was a sign to put my order on hold and go back to try it on again. I ended up talking to the owner and I told her I was having second thoughts and she recommended having me come in prior to the store opens by myself to try the dress or any other dresses on. She also insisted on being my personal bridal consultant during my visit. I ended going back by myself and tried on 2 other dresses I was going back and forth between but when I tried on the dress I purchased I knew it was 'The Dress'!

Everyone at Bridal Couture has been extremely accomdating and professional. I would highly recommend Bridal Couture to any bride looking for their dream dress! They have a great selection but not an overwhelming amount! I'm looking forward to getting the phone call that my dress is in and going back to the salon to pick out my bridesmaid dresses!!!! Thanks again Bridal Couture for helping me select my dream dress!!!

I had an awful at the other bridal salons I went to, but when I walked into Bridal Couture of Plymouth it was like a breath of fresh air. I only had four and a half months to order a dress and was planning to buy off the rack, but they assured me that I could order a dress and get it in time.

The women who work there were lovely and very helpful and kind. I only tried on one dress there and I knew it was the one! It came in plenty of time for the wedding, only took a few weeks to alter, and was perfect for our day!

The owner and staff are amazing! I am an out of town bride and they were extremely accomodating when it came to fittings and getting my dress ready for me in a timely manner. They were very friendly and made me feel welcome.

I got my wedding dress here and it was an overall positive experience. After shopping around at 1/2 a dozen stores in MI and Chicago, I found a dress here that was a knock out and way under my budget. They have alot of lovely dresses and overall the staff was very friendly and accommodating. I ended up moving out of state 6 months before the wedding and the store worked with me to get alteration done in accordance with my travel schedule, even when I had to reschedule last minute. I also loved my seamsess. She did a wonderful job and addressed all of my concerns. My only complaint is that this store keeps somewhat inconvenient hours (no mornings and closed on Tuesday), this is probably better for most people, but with having a limited time frame, I found it difficult to get ahold of people or make appointments

My bridesmaids got their dresses here and I got my veil here. The staff was very helpful and very nice. I loved working with them and so did my bridesmaids. :)

I went to quite a few bridal shops in search of THE dress, and none of them compared to the quality of service, cleanliness, and attentiveness of Bridal Couture. No pushy sales people here, but instead a nice staff who just wants to help you find your dream dress. My dress ended up being $500 UNDER budget, which says a lot given most other shops try and push you to go $500 OVER budget!
The only minor issue I had was with alterations. Prior to purchasing the dress, I discussed with the salon that I wanted the straps removed and altered into a strapless sweetheart neckline, which I was told would be no problem. I pre-paid a set price for alterations. When the dress came in, the seamstress was a little stand-off'ish and was insisting I should keep the straps, even though I knew I didn't want them. I ended up leaving my first alteration appointment with straps on the dress. Luckily after looking at pictures with a friend and confirming yes- I hated the straps, she convinced me to go back to the salon and insist the seamstress do what I wanted and what I had paid for. The dress ended up looking beautiful and exactly as I had pictured, it was just a bit of a setback to have to basically beg the seamstress to do what I wanted and what I had paid for.

I found my dream wedding dress and my bridesmaid dresses at Bridal Couture of Birmingham. The service was great, Carol and Carol were helpful throughout the process. I didn't have any issues to speak of and they also helped to accomodate fittings for a couple of bridesmaids from out of town that could only make it at certain times. Additionally, my dress was "couture" for a very reasonable budget. I felt like a dream walking down the aisle.

Originally I wanted to keep things simplistic for my Iceland destination wedding. I had planned to buy my dress vintage on Ebay. Against my will, my wonderful mother made an appointment here to just give them a whirl. We tried on 5 dresses, fell in love with one, left to go to a few other shops and instantly were back- we had found it!

The lovely ladies at Bridal Couture of Plymouth do an amazing job! The store is clean, staff is friendly and helpful, and the dresses are no cookie cutter. Loved them, my dress, and the helpfulness of everyone. We were doing a destination wedding and they went out of their way to package the dress perfectly for transport.

I had such a wonderful experience at Bridal Couture. I never tried on one dress before I went there, they had was I was looking for and dress #4 out of 5 was the one. They have fabulous sales and the staff is awesome. I'd recommend them anytime!

Sarah is simply a SAINT! She is friendly, professional, and so knowledgeable about all the dresses in the store, what complements your body type, and just about anything and everything related to finding THE dress! I looked at several other stores (from Florida to Michigan) and found myself easily overwhelmed by endless choices, pushy sales personnel, or (in many cases) ignored because of budget concerns. Sarah made me feel beautiful, comfortable, and I ended up thoroughly enjoying my dress shopping experience. The store has so many dresses and options, and prices in every range so I was able to find one within my budget! Will recommend to everyone - this place is the BEST!

Bridal Couture were absolutely wonderful. I was looking for a specific type of design and they were able to help me find it. Also, their alterations were amazing. The dress had a ton of detail and they worked extra hard to make it perfect. The day that I cam in to pick up my dress, we were all emotional and they wished me a wonderful wedding day. They really felt like family to me... highly recommend!!

I was extremely happy with the price of my dress. The alterations were really pricey for what I had done (all I had done was the dress needed some shortening because I'm 5'1) so by the time I paid for those, it evened out with the budget I wanted to keep. The owner and most of the staff were amazing. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because I did have one woman that worked there that was really kind of rude- she had trouble helping me zip the dress so she thought it was a size issue. When she couldn't zip it she asked me "why did you buy this size?" A few minutes later someone else came in and zipped it right up. Also alterations were a lot more expensive than other shops where my friends got their dresses from. Everything else was great. Did alterations on time. Also got a veil from there on sale was $950 and bought it for $150. Owner really does a nice job on making sure clients are happy.

I loved my dress. However, my dress was too long. They were to shorten it, but it was still too long. I ended up tripping walking down the aisle. Also, found a drop of blood where they apparently sewed and they never told me. I found it on my wedding day. Was not happy with those two things. Wouldn't go back because of those two things.

Bridal Couture was so helpful with finding my dress while not being too pushy like many shops can be. I found the perfect dress and the ordering was easy. Their selection is not as big as some but they seem to have a huge variety given the size. Found just what I was looking for.

Bridal Couture of Birmingham did a fantastic job with my wedding dress. They provided excellent service and helped me to have no worries about ordering and were hugely supportive. I had a wonderful experience and would recommend this place to everyone.

I found a beautiful dress at the store in Plymouth and was thrilled to work with their sales associate. The first lady I met when I was still selecting my dress did try to talk up a fairly expensive dress, but the second associate that I worked with after that was wonderful. My dress was under $800, including the alterations, which were done quickly. After the first round of alterations, there was one change that wasn't quite what I had hoped for and they were happy to make another adjustment for the final fitting. They were very helpful in getting the bridesmaid dresses. Especially when estimating the size for a newly pregnant bridesmaid who would be 7.5 months along at the time of the wedding! Her dress came and and fit beautifully after only a few simple alterations.
