Bridal Elegance Salon

I was really not thrilled with my trip to Bridal Elegance. It wasn't that I didn't find the perfect dress (I shopped a lot, so I could say that about several places!) but just had a very bad shopping experience. I showed up for an appt on time, but the staff was too busy to help, I had to wait a good 1/2 hour. The staff then asked what my budget was in a rude way, suggesting that my set budget was more that I could afford. I didn't get upset at that either, although my friends thought it was offensive.

I tried on several dresses and for each I heard the sales lady's complete opinions on what she liked, what I was going to like, etc. before I ever tried them on! At some point, after hearing everything I was going to like and dislike about a dress before I had even touched it, I turned and said to her, "Well why bother trying it on if you've already ruled it out?"

Anyways... It could be that this lady just rubbed me the wrong way on the wrong day... however I think she crossed so many "lines" that I really just wouldn't recommend shopping here.

We ordered the girls' Mori Lee, two-piece BM dresses for $115 each. They were gorgeous and the girls loved them. They even had their own little trains in the back. The cornflower blue really stood out. They looked so beautiful. The ladies that own the salon were really nice to work with.

I ordered my tiara from a catalog and was really happy when I picked it up. It was perfect for my hairstyle and stayed in too well - I had trouble getting it out of my hair! It did not move at all. I loved it and didn't want to take it off.

Stacey was great and very helpful. She went out of her way to find me my dream dress and I really appreciated that since I had no clue when I got there what I wanted. I had a wonderful experience here.

I went to Bridal Elegance on two different occasions to try on bridal gowns. Christie helped me. She was very knowledgable, helpful and gave her honest opinions. I didn't end up getting my dress there, but I would have if they had the one I wanted.

I went into Bridal Elegance knowing what dress I wanted (Jasmine H338). I looked up Jasmine trunk shows and Bridal Elegance had one that would allow me to get my dress just in time. Being a plus sized bride is usually very disconcerting with dress shopping because many dress shops are known to actually be rude to their larger customers. Bridal Elegance was the complete opposite. Christie and Stacy were so sweet and down to earth and helpful that it truly didn't feel like they were trying to hustle you for money and there was none of that uppity snobbery like you get at some bridal shops. My dress came in and I didn't like the modifications I had made to it. Christie suggested alterations to the gown that would be very flattering...so she essentially redesigned the neckline and bodice of my gown and it is truly amazing. I highly recommend Bridal Elegance for any bride who wants a low key shopping experience with friendly and knowledgeable owners/staff.

Stacy at Bridal Elegance made my first wedding dress search experience so wonderful that it was my last! She knows what she's talking about! I picked out 8 dresses to try on, and after seeing me in the dresses and listening to my feedback, she pulled 2 more dresses for me to try. Both were absolutely beautiful, fit in my budget, and were even better than the dresses I had selected myself. I was trying to decide between the two when Stacy remembered a new dress that wasn't even out on the floor yet. When she brought it in, I knew it was "the dress". It was exactly what I had described to her as my dream dress, and it was $300 under budget!

Since they have so many wonderful dresses that are very affordable, it is a popular place and can be very busy on Saturdays! I recommend booking an appointment with Stacy or Christie for a Sunday or Monday, when the salon is closed to the general public. You will have an amazing experience!

On February 7, I went with my daughter to Bridal Elegance in Torrance to pick out my Mother of the Bride dress. Her wedding is June 20. I had a really good experience on that day. I ordered my dress, which was a size 14, and was going to have to take it in all over and change a few things on it, but it was going to be perfect. Now is when it all goes down hill. In the middle of May, Stacy called me to tell me my dress had arrived. I drove to pick it up. By the way, it is about 75 miles up and back. I was going to get it altered elsewhere, so she handed me the dress and I left. Later that evening I decided to try it on and show everyone. I took it out and thought it looked pretty small. I looked at the tag on the outside and it said 14, but the tag on the inside of the dress said 4!! I had to wait until they were open again a few days later and I called and told Stacy what happened. Her response was "I thought it looked small." She told me she would call the company (Watters and Watters) and tell them what happened. I had to call her back because she didn't call me, and she told me that they were going to make another dress and send it out and for me to bring the other dress in then. It was going to take 10 days. Twelve days later I called her to see what was going on and she said she would check and call me back. Once again, she didn't call back and I called her. She told me that now Watters and Watters was going to send Fed Ex to pick up the dress and then once they got it, they would take ten days to make another and then I would get the dress. Now i would have to wait even longer! Obviously, this was totally not acceptable since the wedding was now less than a month away. Don't know if it was her mistake or theirs, but she really should've demanded they do something NOW since it was their mistake. I then suggested that I come in and buy the sample of the other dress that I had wanted. She agreed and told me it was in the window and she would get it. I got there, and the dress in the window (which was still in the window) was not the dress I had wanted, but I tried it on. It was a little small (had an inch to go to zip up), but she told me that it could be let out to fit. She gave me $75 off since it was the sample. I took the dress to two different places and was told by both there was no extra material and it couldn't be done. I called Stacy and told her what they said and basically told her that now I had to go find a dress at the last minute after waiting four months for the dress I wanted and I was not happy. I finally found a dress at the mall which was twice the amount of the original dress, and I didn't even like it as well as the original one, but I had no choice since it had to be a certain color and that was all I found. I brought back the dress to Stacy (the third time I am driving there) and told her that she needed to compensate me for all my driving and lost time. We agreed that she would credit me back the dress and I could keep the $75, which I was happy with but she was not. At least it paid for my gas. This is too important of a day to trust it to Bridal Elegance.

Thanks to Stacey and Christie and Bridal elegance, I have a dress more beautiful than I ever could've dreamed. Stacey is not only sweet and honest, she is brilliant in finding the best dress to fit your own personal style and within your budget. Everything about the store was top notch; from the selection of bridal gowns to the dressing rooms. You can even take pictures which was so helpful; especially since I had no idea what dresses would look good on me. I knew I wanted to purchase my gown from this store for all of these reasons, so Stacy was committed to finding my dream dress. She even ordered a few gowns for me to try on; with no pressure to buy. After getting to know my taste and by combining her own knowledge, she suggested I try on a particular dress she had just gotten in. The search ended as soon as I saw it and I finally got that "THE ONE" feeling I'd hoped for. Stacey is amazing; if she doesn't have the dress you want in the store, she'll find it for you.

I went to the Jasmine Trunk Show there, and I was super impressed. The lady who helped me was super sweet and very helpful. I tried on about 7 dresses, and she knew I wasn't going to buy my dress right then (she in fact TOLD me I shouldn't since my wedding is over a year away), but she was still incredibly patient and helpful. And the dresses they have there are GORGEOUS and affordable. I only tried on dresses from the trunk show (I found all 7 that I liked from just 2 racks, and all in my price range!!), but after I got dressed again, I purused the store and I saw a bunch more that I liked! They were closing though, so I left. :( But I'll definitely be back!!! Brides, you've got to check out this store!

I just ordered my gown from Bridal Elegance. They have a great selection of dresses. I told them that my budget was under $1000 and Christie was able to find a variety of dresses to suit my style and budget. The ladies at this store are sweet and helpful!

This was the only place I looked for a wedding dress. I found many dresses I loved for under 1,000. I enjoyed how the ladies at this store did not make you feel bad for having a budget. I felt that they went out of their way to help me find the perfect dress for me. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was because I was not thrilled with the alterations I had done in store.

Stacy is amazing! She knows every single dress in the shop and helped me find my dream dress. I went in several time before picking a dress. She was so helpful each time, never giving me any pressure to purchase right away like the other stores. I got my gown there, 4 bridesmaids dress, and even my mom bought her dress there. We loved the shop.

I didn't give Bridal Elegance 5 stars for two reasons:
1. I custom ordered the dress so it would fit better. I had lost a bunch of weight due to health reasons, but gained it all back by my first fitting. However the dress was still too big and too long. I knew the risk when I paid for this, but I was given the impression it would fit better than it did.
2. I'm extremely disappointed with the alterations. My MOH also got hers altered there and she thinks they didn't even touch her dress. At the second fitting, I thought the gown was a tad too long but the alterations lady said it would be ok. On wedding day, I stepped on my dress several times, almost tripping on my way down the aisle. My BM also noticed that a loop on the bustle was too small at that same fitting, and she promised to fix it for when I pick it up. She never fixed it! The loop was so small that it was impossible to get it on the button, my bridesmaid had to improvise to get my train up. My dress was also still too big in the bust area, I was super concerned about having a strapless, and they had assured me that it would stay put. Well, I had to use a bunch of fashion tape and I felt like I was pulling up my dress all night long!! I spent a ton of money to get the bustle, bust, and hem done, and basically none of it was done correctly. I'm very disappointed with the alterations and while I highly recommend buying your dress here, DO NOT get your dress altered by them.

South Bay brides really need to check this store out! Christie and Stacey are so helpful and patience. They have been open for less than a year but have a great selection of bridal gowns and bridesmaid dresses. Definately check this place out.
