Mia is truly a talented person. After hearing raves about her on a bridal forum I decided to book a trail. She only focuses on bridal hair and makeup. My trail came out wonderful and I was very pleased with the outcome. She airbrushed my makeup on which gave it the natural look and feel that I was looking for. What I also loved about Mia was her ability to work with all types of hair and skin types as opposed to only knowing how to do one. This was important because my bridesmaids all had different types of hair. On wedding day she came bright and early with her assistant and got to work. They did several of my bridesmaid’s hair and makeup as well as my mothers and of course mine. My makeup was flawless and lasted all day. I heard just as many comments about my hair and makeup as I did about the dress. Bridal Lounge was one of my favorite vendors.

Mia is such an amazing person. I have been looking for a makeup artist for months and months before my wedding. I have called up and made a few appointments with other artist but never seem to have made it to any of them. After, registering to a bridal forum, a lot of brides highly recommended Mia. So I decided to call her and set up an appointment. When I get to the hair salon, late of course..LOL, she so understood and she put me in the chair. I felt comfortable with her. She took her time and when she was done I was amazed at what she did. I want a natural look and she delivered. On the day of the wedding she did an amazing job on all of the girls, my mom, my grandmother and me. Our makeup stayed on the whole night. I was flawless a lot of my guest was telling me how beautiful I was. We were very pleased and happy with her work. I have recommended Mia to other people and brides and they are very, very happy with her work.

Mia Farah styled my hair along with 5 bridemaids and my mother for my October 2nd wedding. She is amazing!!I had a trial with her back in March and it only took one trial to know she was the one to go with. She tried two different looks at my trial and that was it. The morning of my wedding she arrived promptly to get started on the wedding party. She moved through everyone in a timely fashion and everyone's hair was BEAUTIFUL. Everyone received compliments on their hair throughout the ceremony and reception. The girls who wore their hair half down and curly looked just as amazing at the end of the night as they did at the beginning. There wasn't a droopy curl to be seen. My hair was a beautiful updo and I got so many compliments. I was beyond happy with Mia's work and would recommend her over and over again.

From start to finish, Mia was an amazing person to work with. After tons of research and trials from other hairstylists, I was very nervous about finding the right person for our special day (my hair was very important for me to have done right). As soon as I sat in her chair for my trial, all of my fears went away and I knew she was the one for the job. Not only did she style my hair the way I initially wanted it, but she also gave me other alternatives that were along the lines of what I wanted. Needless to say, I changed my mind and fell in love with one of the other styles she showed me!The day of the wedding, Mia showed professionalism and patience. We were behind schedule before she arrived and she showed such poise under pressure. She transformed my hair and truly made me feel like a princess! It was also raining the day of my wedding and while some girls' hair show the effects of humidity (i have curly/frizzy hair) my hair stayed perfect from beginning to end. I truly recommend Mia's services. If you want a hassle/worry free wedding there are no other hands to put them in then hers. Being the first of three girls to get married, my mother and sisters already agreed there is no one else we want to use. She is truly a diamond in the rough-she is a genuinely sweet person with a true talent in what she does.

I worked with Mia and Tasha on the day of my wedding, and of course, I was not disappointed. I had no doubts about booking Mia Farah Beautique for wedding services, based on reviews and from my flawless hair trial and they did not disappoint. My hair came out amazing as well as my bridesmaids, in addition the makeup came out so good for my girls, that people who did not original schedule for makeup decided to get theirs done that day. They were on time, efficient and very personable. On a stressful day Mia had me laughing the whole time, not to mention that the bridal fascinator I used in my trial she gave to me free on a whim, and that was my bridal piece on my wedding day. I truly felt like a rockstar and thats because I worked with people I could trust and not have to follow behind. She took her time and made sure I loved it, and even came by my room before she left to see if I needed an touch up. You think you're hiring a beautician and ended up with a new friend and you can't beat that. On a side note, I asked for some advice in hiring a DOC, because she is so well known, and she really helped me dodge a major wedding day catastrophe with my original choice and for that I am eternally grateful. Mia was wonderful!! She came to my house for two trials and 1 week before the wedding I still didn't know how I wanted my hair so I went to her adorable salon for a third trial. She made great suggestions along the way and the day of the wedding I felt like a movie star. My bridesmaids and mom went first and every one of them looked amazing. Makeup and hair was perfect. Then came my turn and my makeup made was FLAWLESS! Hair was just as amazing. I highly recommend Mia as she is Fabulous.

Mia Hendrickson is the best Hair and Makeup artist there is!! There is definitely not a better artist out there. And she is an artist! The hair and makeup she did was absolutely gorgeous!! I have never felt more beautiful in my entire life! She uses airbrush makeup which is really light and natural looking. It doesn’t even feel like you are wearing makeup. And the best part is I was crying a ton and not a single smudge or run was on my face! I was astonished I don’t know how or what she used but I mean I cried a lot and my mother got her makeup done as well and she really cried a lot and the makeup stayed and looked like perfection! As for my hair I have thin fine hair that takes a lot of work to keep a curl and those curls stayed in all day! Even with all my dancing and jumping around the hairstyle did not budge. OMG! I don't know where to start! Mia was the absolute best before and on the day of my wedding! I did my Make Up trial with her and it went great! She knew exactly what to do and what I wanted just by me telling her the colors of the wedding and how I wanted the makeup. I also did my hair trial with and she knew exactly what would look beautiful on me. She even helped pick out my hair piece to match the hairstyle and style of my dress! A true sweetheart!
The day of the wedding she got there early, and she even came with her other 2 assistants which was a life saver because I had about 9 other girls getting their Makeup done that day as well. All the girls could not stop talking about how beautiful their makeup looked that day, they really looked amazing!! They got compliments the whole day :-)

I utilized the services of Mia from Bridal Lounge for hair and makeup services on my wedding day. After my initial hair and makeup trial I knew I made the right decision in hiring Bridal Lounge. Mia and her assistant showed up to our hotel on time (5:00am!) and began work promptly. They worked with a variety of hair types and complexions and made everyone in the bridal party look absolutely beautiful. Our make-up lasted the entire evening and everyone’s hair stayed in place. Mia and her assistant were both very professional and friendly. I highly recommend them!

Mia was amazing. She arrived at my house 30 minutes early which was a nice surprise. She started with my hair then she did my sister’s and mom’s makeup and then she did my makeup. She made me look and feel like a princess. I am so happy that I decided to change my hair from half up to all up. I did not have to worry about it staying in place. The next morning it still loved amazing! She was done just before the photographer got there. She then helped me put my veil in place. She was friendly and polite the entire time. I highly recommend her.

I’m sure everyone on this board has heard of M*I*A. She is truly talented and amazing at what she does! She arrived at 6:30 am on the dot with Theresa and Claudette. I still don’t know how they did Me, 5 BM’s; 2 little girls; my mom; my mom in law; my grandmother in law and my friend Judy and we were still ON TIME! Everyone looked beautiful! MY BM’s are diva’s and I had warned M*I*A about them but she knew exactly how to handle everyone! She is worth EVERY PENNY!

Mia showed up very early the day of my wedding which was great because as most brides I was nervous to be ready on time. Originally I expected her to only do my make up, because I had not done a hair trial. But the day of the wedding, when I explained what I wanted for hair she started to do it. I have had bad experiences in the past with people who do not know how to handle curly hair but she is great. She worked with my hair products as per my request, but knew how to use the diffuser and handle the curls perfectly. I wanted my hair to have all natural curls but still not look like my everyday hair style and she made me look gorgeous. As for make up, she is an expert in the field. I received so many compliments on my make up and she really listened to what I wanted. My eyes, lips and complexion looked amazing and my pictures show the great work she did. Not to mention she left me with touch up lipstick and the make up survived 100 degree weather. She is great with airbrushing and I would highly recommend her to any bride. Her salon for trials is a bit of a trek. It took me 2 hours to get there, but I am so glad I met her and booked her for my wedding. She was well worth the trip and is reasonably priced for professional service.

She is beyond talented in her craft, and has the perfect temperament to keep a bride entertained and calm on the most hectic and stressful day in their life.I booked my trial appointment with her, and met her at a salon in Bethpage. She spent a TON of time with me, over FOUR HOURS! She worked hard to create a special look for my big day, not the typical cookie cutter "bridal hair style" that I see very often on wedding websites. And we were so impressed, we booked her on the spot!On the wedding day she arrived very promptly at my hotel room, and brought an assistant with her who was also great.Mia truly made me feel like an absolute princess, and I absolutely love how my hair & makeup came out. We also hired her for my Mom and Mother in Law, my Matron of Honor, and hair for 1 Bridesmaid and makeup for another Bridesmaid. Everyone just looked great! I very highly recommend her to all future brides.

Mia is amazing at what she does! As an african-american woman, it is very difficult to try and find someone who can do my makeup and not make me look like I am wearing white powder. Mia was suggested to me by my wedding planner, Christine at EAP, and Mia did not disappoint one bit. Yes it is more expensive, but seriously, it is worth every single dime! Mia is sweet, courteous, and just the best at what she does! She came on time with her assistant Tiffany and did 8 different women, of different skin tones, ranging from very, very light skinned, to dark mocha. She is the best and I still get compliments on my wedding makeup three months later! Friends said they gasped when they saw me, thats how good she is. Please hire Mia if you want to look amazing!

Mia was an amazing person to have my hair and make up done with. SHe listend to my requests and she was very professional. Everyone at my wedding could not stop complimenting me on my hair and make up. I had asked her to put in extensions and no one could figure out how my hair came out so good bc the extensions were so good that it was impossible to tell what it was.

The team was very flexible with the start time. It was an early start (5am!) and they were perky and set on making sure everyone was happy with their hair and makeup.Ceena was especially helpful. I would highly recommend Mia Farah Beautique to anyone preparing to get married and wanting their hair and make up done. I especially appreciated the flexibility, detail and care shown by the hair and make up artists that came to my hotel room that morning! They did my trial first, which was such a positive experience and helped shape the direction I wanted to go with my hair/makeup. Tasha and Kendra were so incredibly personable and kind!! They helped put me to ease (the woman who so rarely fusses and wears much make up) and even showed me how to explore new looks to get outside the box. The best part was how sensitive they were to my tastes and needs and did not feel threatened by my needing to make changes along the way as I adjusted what I wanted to do! They did a MARVELOUS job and my make up looked so natural as did my hair. I truly felt like a radiant bride. They truly enhanced my features so I felt still very much like me:). I felt SO BAD that the make up artist arrived an hour earlier and had to wait in the hotel for me to start, since she did not get the message about the final schedule and changes made. The only area I see for improvement, is the need to respond to phone calls or emails and clarify schedules regarding the scheduling of bridesmaids so that the day is coordinated smoothly. I also wish their had been a bit more flexibility on how long they spent and price on each bridesmaid's hair, if they didn't want much. OVERALL, though, I HIGHLY recommend Mia and her team of very gifted and professional hair and make up artists!

I used Mia for my hair and makeup and also my mother's hair and makeup, and she did an excellent job. I wasn't 100% satisfied with my trial, I thought the colors were too light for me, so morning of I asked her to amp it up, basically another trial, and had my fingers crossed it would come out to my liking, and she nailed it! I was very happy with the way my hair and makeup came out, as well as my mother's. However, she was very late that day, which caused our entire schedule to get thrown off, and it was difficult throughout the process to get in touch with her assistants via email. She does a great job, but you just need to be aware of these types of things so it doesn't become an issue.

Mia does incredible work and I was thrilled with my hair and makeup on the day of the wedding. I had two trials with her (she really takes her time) and the best work was on the day of the wedding. She comes highly recommended by lots of people, which was good, because some of the email communications with pricing info (based on # of bridesmaids, etc.) or the contract/deposit info were not always clear.On the day of the wedding the hair and makeup took longer than planned and caused us to be late with photos, etc. - which I was slightly disappointed about. I was really hoping to stay on schedule (but it's obviously very important to look good that day - and I think that Mia accomplished that).

I heard so many great reviews about Mia from Bridal Lounge. So, I decided to book with her. On the day of my hair trial, she was very unprofessional. She answered her cell phone about 5 times. Her kids were there running around. Then, her friends (or coworkers maybe?) came in to chat with her. I was very skeptical that this would happen on my wedding day. The hair trial came out "ok", but it was very messy and something that should have taken an hour to do took 3 hours because of all of her interruptions. The day of the wedding, she sent two of her assistants over to the house at 8am. They were there promptly and got right to work. However, as the morning progressed, there was still no Mia. I asked them if she was planning on coming and one of them responded, "She'll be here at 11." She didn't get to the house till 1130. She had 3 girls' make up to do, plus my hair in 2 hours. Although she did a beautiful job on my makeup, the hair did not look like exactly as it did in the trial. She didn't finish my hair till 3:00. She was supposed to be finished by 2pm for the photographer. So the photographer was waiting around for an hour and then had to quickly take pictures of me in 15 minutes, in time to make it to the church by 3:30.I was a little apprehensive spending so much money on hair and makeup, but everyone raved about how great she was, so I decided to book with her. I definitely don't feel that it was worth the money I paid for her services. She is very talented at what she does, but she needs a little help with organization.
