I went to Bridal Secrets for my bridesmaid dresses - they were not only unobtrusive but they weren't even mildly helpful. The girl who was there that day sat at her desk the entire time we were in the store. She didn't make suggestions, pull dresses, help try on or anything even mildly related to customer service. We found two styles and I gave her all of my information including the bridesmaids names and she said all they had to do was call with measurements or drop in and once they had all of them they would order. Easy enough - several days later when the first girl called in her meausrements (she is out of state) they had no information on my wedding. When I called to find out why I was told (by a different girl) that she had spoken to the original sales girl and she "must have lost it or something"...um, ok. So I gave them my information again and when one of the bridesmaids (out of town) called back to give measurements they told her she would be a size 14 - she is a size 2 regularly. My friend discussed the measurements with the sales girl and told her to order a 6 and she would accept the responsibility for any error. When the dress arrived by the way it was very big on her and I can only imagine how big a 14 would have been! Another bridesmaid had a similar issue but ended up going with the size they suggested - it was huge and required extensive alterations at a significant additional cost. When the dresses came in I went with one of my bridesmaids to pick up her dress and another - two of the girls went on their own and another was having her dress shipped to her. They were suppose to ship the dress to her on Monday for Wednesday delivery via UPS. On Wednesday no dress so my friend called and the response was "oh sorry, I forgot". So she told her she would ship it for Monday delivery - it arrived. Overall the service was awful, the dresses were fine though. I'm so glad I didn't buy my dress there though!

Trudy was a life saver!!!! I brought my dress in 1 week prior to my wedding and needed it taken out. ( i put on a little weight over the last few months ) She didn't even need to fit me and the dress fit perfect. I had also purchased my dress from her for a very good price. I couldn't ask for better service.

Bridal secrets is a cute little place, but they have great dresses. I went to Davids Bridal and just wasn't happy with the service I received. Bridal secrets is wonderful!

Bridal Secrets is a wonderful store. The bride received individual attention and felt special. The staff is very relaxed and fun but very knowledgable. We went to other stores, but as soon as we walked in we knew we were in the right place. My daughter was absolutely beautiful

Katie our consultant was extreemly helpfull and knowledgable. My mom was able to take pictures of me trying on the different dresses at my first visit. The dresses to pick from were gorgeous and the prices were reasonable. I purchased my wedding dress and veil from Bridal Secrets. My mom got her dress and all three bridesmaids found dresses they liked and purchased from the shop. We all recieved great service and the best part was we did'nt need to make appointments we could just walk in when it was convienent. I would highly recomend!

Lynn is great to work with, and she has a beautiful selection of gowns. She works very diligently with her clients to make sure they select a dress that suits their taste and body type. Lynn also does hair with Illussions Salon in La Plata, and is very meticulous about her work. Her brides/bridesmaids and mothers always looks beautiful.
About Bridal Secrets
Bridal Secrets opened in the Fall of 2006 in the heart of La Plata, Maryland. Lynn Kilinski (Owner) had envisioned a bridal store that had heart. After owning one of La Plata's most prominent hair salons and styling brides
hair for over 20 years, she decided it was time.
All the brides Lynn talked to were pretty much satisfied with the gowns they got, but hated the process of shopping for them. They all said the same thing... the gowns were getting seriously over-priced (over $5,000!) or seriously cheap in price and quality, the one-on-one customer service was terrible or non-existent, you always had to make an appointment, thousands of gowns all in plastic bags so you can't see any of them and you could never look at each and every one, the accessories like the veils and tiaras cost almost as much as the gowns and if you do find a gown or two that you like, don't even think about having a family member or a friend take a picture of you in the gown!!!
Lynn knew what she had to do. She opened Bridal Secrets.
