Bridal Showcase

I called Bridal Showcase 2 weeks ago trying to make an appointment for today, January 2nd. The staff member told me that making an appointment was not necessary and that the store should not be busy on Friday.

My MOH and I drove for quite some time to get there. The store was small and there was not a great selection for brides who are hoping to find a dress under $1200. There were many overpriced gowns. Who has $10,000+ to spend on a gown?! They had one there that was $31,000+.

When we went there, we were not promptly greeted. It took a while before we were even acknowledged. I was asked if I had an appointment. I said no, and explained that I had called 2 weeks ago and was informed that an appointment was not necessary. The sales lady seemed surprised. She then just told me to put the gowns I liked on a rack.

Since their selection was limited and I don't have $5000++ to spend on my dress, it took me only a few minutes to select a few dresses. We stood around waiting for a dressing room. There were only 2 staff members there and they were both attending someone else.

When I finally did get a dressing room, the staff member put 2 clips on me and then told me that if I needed help to get her. She disappeared and did not return until I was almost done trying on gowns. My MOH had to come in my dressing room and try to help me get into some of the gowns.

I have had excellent service at another bridal shop. I was sorely disappointed with Bridal Showcase. I cannot recommend this store and will never go there again. Definitely a waste of time and gas.

I was VERY disappointed in Bridal Showcase. I ordered my dress in June for my October wedding and paid to get it rushed in time for the wedding. It was supposed to come in 3-4 weeks prior. When I called and harped on them about being late, they blamed the designer and the postal service for returning the dress. We found out later that they will return your dress until THEY can pay for the intake of it. After calling them every day and calling the designer, Maggie Sottero, I finally got my dress 4 days before my wedding. They did not apologize or offer to pay for anything, not even the alterations. Although I LOVED my dress, I had a horrible experience with this store. Please do NOT go there!

We had gone to the bridal show and there was so many vendors with jewerly and tiaras and even vails. This is a cheap way to get all of your jewerly an all of your bridesmaids. They have great deals, so be on the look out.

Great Bridal Expo in Bethesda, MD. TONS of vendors and things to enter to win free wedding items and packages. Everyone was very professional and there were so many vendors I was able to get pricing from everyone and compare and negotiate to get the best prices for items like photography, etc.

They are wonderful! Great prices and wonderful helpfull staff. I couldn't have gotten my dress at a better place!

Dress came in a lot later than they originally told me. Arrived one week before wedding. Came in last minute for alterations and I they didnt alter my dress as i wanted but it was two days before wedding so i had it take it as it was. That was after i spent close to 400 for alterations alone!

Please, please do not purchase your dress from Bridal Showcase! I am writing this review in hopes that what happened to me will not happen to anyone else. I went in looking for a bridesmaid dress for my sisters wedding in which I was the maid of honor. The salesperson took my full payment , ordered the dress for me and let me know she would call me when it was in. 3 weeks before the wedding I began to call the shop to find out when the dress would be in. I was promised by Yvette (Manager) and Maria (Owner) that the dress would be in on time. When it came down to a week before the wedding they said that they would have the dress overnighted from the manufacturer.....well that never happened!!! WITH LESS THAN 48 HOURS BEFORE THE WEDDING I NEEDED TO GO DRESS SHOPPING AT THE MALL TO FIND A DRESS!! Worse yet, Bridal Showcase will not refund my money!!! Nor, will they return my calls. Their customer service ends when they have your money. Please do not let this happen to you, do not purchase at Bridal Showcase, there are plenty of reputable shops with beautiful merchandise that have better business practices.

I got my wedding dress here. I had a hard time at first finding a dress because I really wanted sleeves of some sort that weren't too frumpy. This place was one of the few that was not only willing but happy to request special alternations from the designer. I loved my dress in the end but I do have two complaints. First, my dress came in 2 weeks later than was expected and it made me very nervous, and I had a hard time finding out why. Second, the alterations were not what I had described. Thankfully, it was OK. I liked the dress regardless but I still wonder what it would have looked like with the more open neckline I had asked for.

We found our bridesmaid dresses at Bridal Showcase. After calling a few other places for prices, they had the best one! The staff is really helpful and the dresses arrived on time and just as I imagined...perfect! Alterations were done here as well as we were 110% satisfied. My dress and BM's fit like a dream, great pressing service and fast turn around!

Bridesmaid dresses arrived quickly and as ordered. Jennifer was a big help and was understanding to the fact that I had to come in multiple times before making my decision on which dresses to order. I had my gown altered here and 1 bridesmaid had her dress alterations done as well. They were quick, correct and we were both very satisfied with the price of the work. Overall great shop to buy from and have alterations done at!

I bought my wedding dress at Bridal Showcase on very short notice; luckily I found one that fit perfectly. The dress needed to be altered, but it wasnt fully necessary. Buying the dress was great--the manager helped me out greatly and was VERY professional.. we set up the appointment to have my dress bussled [spelling??] a few days after buying the dress. When I went back to have the dress bussled, the manager wasnt there and the staff was extremely unattentive. The 'sweet little old lady' that they had there doing the alterations literally threw a fit because I didnt get the dress altered. When we got rung up for the bussel, the price was three-times what we were told it was going to be. After my second visit, my mother and I left very upset and unsatisfied. If not for the FANTASTIC price on the designer dress that I got, I would not recommend the store at all. But if you want a great dress for a great price, I'd go to this place.

I found a wonderful dress at Bridal Showcase and the ladies were happy to help me. The dress arrived on time, alterations were done well and were finished earlier than expected. I didn't feel pressured into purchasing anything else there and the manager is good about returning phone calls and keeping in touch. They were also nice enough to let me borrow a veil on two occasions so that I could go to two different hair appointments to try out my hair up-do. I didn't end up buying one from Bridal Showcase (I borrowed one from my sister-in-law), and they never gave me a hard time. I have had friends recently purchase dresses from Bridal howcase and they have all been pleased with their services as well.

All the staff were amazing and had so much useful advice - they practically planned my wedding! They were really helpfull when choosing my dress and the seamstresses were equally as helpful. There was a great selection of dresses and the staff knew their dresses reeeally well...very friendly, not at all pretentious or pushy! Thanks Bridal Showcase!
