I traveled all the way from Philadelphia to have a custom veil made by Margaret. I searched in every bridal shop in the tri-state area looking for the perfect veil. I couldn't find what I was looking for, and the local bridal shop where I bought my dress wanted to charge me $600 to make a custom veil. Then comes Margaret to the rescue! I visited her quaint shop in New York, and she was so patient as I tried on the different veils and described to her what I wanted. She was able to make me a fingertip length veil with a beaded edge with extra fullness - at less than half the cost of my bridal shop. She even sent me the veil prior to beading to ensure that the shape was perfect with my dress. My veil came out just as I had invisioned! Thanks Margaret!

Margaret is the owner of Bridal Veil Falls, a quaint shop located in the East Village of NYC. At Bridal Veil Falls, she hand makes any type of veil or headpiece you could wish for, for your wedding. She has a few samples there to try and then from there she can create whatever it is that you are looking for your special day. I had a hand made beautiful head band with crystals and pearls in an interwoven design. Similar pieces in bridal stores were running from $300 +. At Bridal Veil Falls my piece cost a total of $100. It was beautifully crafted and exactly what I wanted. I highly recommend this shop as Margaret does an amazing job.

Margaret is lovely. The owner of this shop is a retired social worker who found a second career she loves. And she takes pride in her work. You try on multiple veils in her shop, find the one you like, and Margaret custom makes it for you!
She also does fascinators and can rework older veils or swag the way you want it.
The shop itself is not glitzy at all. Be warned-- if you're looking for a Kleinfeld experience, it's not here. It's small and there isn't a lot of room for a huge entourage. I went by myself and had a nice chat... Margaret even ended up recommending a seamstress around the corner to alter my dress, and she came over right away to greet me and take me to her shop!
I got a great veil-- that I ended up wearing the whole night- for around $140. When I first went to pick it up, it wasn't quite what I had wanted, and Margaret fixed it within a day, making it even more beautiful than what I had imagined. True professional and...

I could not have been happier than the hairpiece I got at Bridal Veil Falls. The woman there was very kind and patient and was able to work with me to create exactly what I wanted and something that would match my dress. I ended up getting a large flower for the side of my hair. It was lovely and looked great with the whole outfit. It was a hit at the wedding. Thanks!

I had a lovely time working with Margaret and visiting her shop. She's great at what she does. The hours of the store are sometimes hard to work around if you have a long work day and very packed schedule, but I made it work. It was nice to have such a personal touch. This is a great way to go if it's important to have personalized service, but I recommend being in frequent contact and being very specific about exactly what you want because the pieces are custom made so you won't see it until its finished.

I live in Chicago but went with some friends to this shop during a weekend trip to NYC. We received very attentive service, were allowed to try on everything, and Margaret helped me to choose a veil that would go perfectly with my dress. She was attentive without being pushy.
When my veil arrived, it was not what I had ordered, but when I called Margaret, she was very apologetic and had a new one (which was _exactly_ what I wanted) in the mail to me really quickly, even paying for shipping to return the incorrect veil.
My veil was gorgeous and exactly what I had envisioned!

Margaret was such a sweetheart and very talented at creating veils. I searched everywhere for a veil that would compliment my dress and had no luck so I went to Bridal Veil Falls and she custom made a veil from a vision I had only described to her. The process was so easy and the veil was ready within a month. Margaret even offered to let me take the veil before it was finished to my hair appointment and my fittings. Wonderful service and a beautiful product.

Margaret was a pleasure to work with! She has a very calming effect and is absolutely wonderful! I had her make a custom knee length lace veil. It came out beautifully! Perfect and exactly the way I wanted it. She had to dye the lace to match my dress which wasn't a problem. She even dyed extra lace for me so I could use it for sleeves on my dress. She has tons of laces and styles of veils for you to choose from ex: birdcage, traditional, and feather/flower hair pieces and more!
She is a one woman show right now, so she is very busy. When I first placed my order in March she was doing good but by the time Sept came near she was very busy with getting out orders. When I picked up my veil she said she would be getting an intern soon. She by far had the best prices around the NYC area and I can't say enough what a pleasure it was to work with her. Definitely if time allows, order you veil from Margaret-you won't be disappointed!

Margaret was so much fun to work with. I brought my mom and FMIL to the her shop, and Margaret let me try on lots of different veils/styles. She's got books full of brides she's made veils for that you can browse for ideas. We came up with my veil, which was a combination of two others she had done and I loved the finished product. It was so much fun to wear. I kept it on until after the formal dances

I wish I could give Margaret 10 stars! I came in TWO WEEKS before my wedding completely desperate and her energy calmed me right away. The veil she custom made for me was gorgeous, exactly what I wanted, and an incredibly reasonable price. I would recommend this shop to everyone!

Margaret, the owner, makes all the veils in this shop. She made my veil for way cheaper than what I was asked to pay. And she was custom making mine. I also bought a flower from her made of feathers and it was exquisite. Everyone loved both items and they were perfectly priced. She did however forget to call me on a couple of ocassions.

I actually wore my aunt's veil from her wedding 40 years ago, which was a wonderful gift from her. It's a gorgeous Belgian lace mantilla, and I absolutely love it, but the large oval style wasn't what I wanted. The very sweet owner of Bridal Veil Falls really did a beautiful job gathering the veil, folding it over, and attaching it to a comb, all with loose stitches that could be undone. After the wedding, I was able to clip the stitches without any problems and with no damage to the veil at all. I was thrilled with her handiwork!

Margaret made me the most beautiful veil-- all handmade at a great price to boot. She was wonderful to deal with and I would recommend her to other brides without blinking an eye. She does so many styles that you will definitely find what you are looking for at her shop!

The woman who runs the store was great. I decided to change my veil three weeks before the wedding. I called her on a Sunday afternoon and went to her store an hour later. We talked about what I thought was wrong with the first one, where I was having the ceremony and what my expectations were. She fitted me with three different veils all similar but with slightly different styles. And she was able to custom make my veil within two weeks. And the prices are very reasonable. A great person to meet too!
