If you plan on doing your own flowers (which I completely recommend), please go with this company. I knew we were going to put together our own floral arrangements and procrastinated ordering flowers. I price shopped several different companies I heard good things about a few, but most felt very "online shopping if you buy this second I'll give you 5% off, ok 7% off"...With most companies it was like working with the online help desk for comcast. NOT what makes you feel confident about flowers for your wedding. And with only a week and a half to go I called bridesnblooms, THANK GOD. They are the nicest people I've ever talked to. The prices were as affordable as it comes and the flowers were fedexed overnight from various locations in S. America and Europe. They were very clear with what to do with different types of flowers, told me exactly what day different batches should arrive to ensure they open properly and stressed that if I had any questions, concerns or just needed someone to calm me down, haha, to just call them. They were easy to get a hold of and were true to every word. The night before each delivery, I received an email with a fedex confirmation number and my flowers arrived before 10:30 am the next day. Even the hydrangeas (in the DC heat and humidity) were perfect and didn't begin to wilt for days after the wedding. Great company!!!!! And do your own flowers. It was cheaper, looked nicer and gave the bridesmaids and I a fun activity the day before the wedding.

I ordered my flowers from brides and bloom and made my flowers myself, they were so accomidating with helping walk me through the steps as to how to keep my flowers fresh until my wedding day, and what to do and how to do it. Amazing prices and they delivered exactly when they said they would. tons of great flowers to chose from and the flowers turned out amazing!

THe flowers were beautiful. At first I was worried that a whole vendor might not provide quality flowers, but the flowers actually looked the same way they did in the pictures online. They delivered them on time and they looked very fresh.

I did not order my flowers through bridesnblooms but I did order floral supplies to make my own centerpieces. I ordered them the week of my wedding and they came in on the exact date provided. The lady on the phone was very helpful and even answered questions about how soon to make my centerpieces. Highly recommend!

I ordered white hydrangea for the pew buckets for our church ceremony. They arrived the day before the wedding and they were BEAUTIFUL! The church pews looked just as I had envisioned. Highly recommended.

friendly service. Easy to work with. Website has a lot of information and pricing is clear. I talked to the lady a couple times on the phone and she was no pressure and gave good advice. Flowers come on time and beautiful!

After realizing that our wedding was scheduled for Mother's Day weekend and some florists wouldn't even consider taking our event, I was thrilled to talk with Dorelle at BridesnBlooms. She made some great suggestions and walked me through the entire process of purchasing flowers wholesale and making my own arrangements (ok, so I needed alot of hand-holding over the phone but she was very patient and creative). All-in-all it was a great learning experience and we made a party out of it with friends and family a couple of days before the wedding...it was a HUGE savings over purchasing the arrangements from a traditional florist and our guests raved about the centerpieces, bouquets and boutennieres that we designed and made.

O.K., you have your flowers and you are ready to get started, you may be asking, “Now What?” Brides and Blooms has compiled the following information, to set your mind at ease.
Firstly, make sure you have protective eyewear and gloves. When working with flowers you may wind up with cuts on your hands, or may damage your manicure. The rest of the information is more mechanical than creative.
Go ahead, get started, we know you’ll do just fine. Always use a clean bucket to put your flowers into as you are preparing them. Avoid using metal containers. Use fresh cool water with floral food. Gather all the other materials you will need by preparing your flowers as described they will last longer and look more attractive. Remember to use clean containers for your arrangements; you will want to clean them with soapy water with a capful of bleach, then rinse well with warm water, being sure to remove all suds.
Cut your stems at an angle, preferably under water. This gives the most exposure for water uptake. Scraping the bottom of green stems or hammering (yes, use a real hammer) and cutting the bottom about ¾ inch up from the end of the woody stems helps with water uptake as well.
Strip all the lower leaves from the stems. This also includes leafy lower branches, if you don’t do this they will rot the water with a build up of bacteria.
If the stem has thorns, remove them with scissors. This will make them much easier to handle when you are making your arrangements. This will also allow for more water intake.
Let your flowers sit in the water in a cool dry place for several hours before making your arrangements.
If the stems appear to be thick and hearty, you can plunge them briefly into hot water to encourage them further to take up water.
You can singe milky stems to prevent them from oozing in the vase. Do this by using a low flame such as a candle flame.
When using floral foam, you will need to soak the foam in water with flower food before using it. You will find it is much easier to cut when wet. When shaping it to your container, don’t forget to leave space for a reservoir of water with access for topping up. Be sure that your flower stems are placed firmly and as far below the solution level in the container as possible without coming out of the foam itself. Avoid removing the stem ends after inserting them into the foam. They will be plugged with the floral foam.
It is a good idea to re-cut your stems just before you make your arrangements.
Gasses emitted by leaves and dead flowers will prematurely age your flowers so pick off any faded flowers and dead or wilted leaves.
Never use walk in coolers, freezers or home refrigerators as these are not suited to fresh flower storage and can damage your flowers.
