Brides By Demetrios

This salon was absolutely amazing in every respect. From the sales girl to the management to the seamstress to the person that steamed my gown, they were professional, kind, empathetic, patient, knowledgeable and even compassionate to a frazzled bride without family to assist her in finding a gown. They helped me stick to a meager budget, had various plus sized dresses in styles I liked to choose from right off the rack, and accomodated requests. I would refer anyone I know to them.

My dress was beautiful and I had a wonderful experience with Demetrios from my first dress try-on to picking up after steaming. The alterations turned out great as well. My only complaint is that I was told my bustle would be ~$30 but then when it came time to pay it was over $70. This is because there were many “points” that had to be built in but it was still a shock. Also, Demetrios doesn’t automatically include steaming. Mine was included because I bought the dress during my first shopping trip but either way I think a dress shop should include it or at least as part of the alterations.

I loved my dress, it fit great and was prepared well for the big day. They told us one price for alterations when we bought the dress and then the alterations lady told us another price. We were expecting to have the dress look like it did when I tried it on but we ended up having to buy a slip for underneath to poof it out. Everything came in with plenty of time and they were great about letting me try on the dress a couple of times! Overall it was a good experience! Not very personal, more like a department store of wedding dresses!

My dress was absolutely gorgeous. I think I got a good deal for the dress, but the dress alterations I found a little overpriced.

Everyone was extremely nice and helpful. Georgia, was soo sweet and it was great to come into their store and them all know my name. I cant rememebr the name of my sales lady, but she was a little pushy though. Althought I am extremely happy with my outcome, I was a little dissappointed that I felt a little pressured to get the dress I did. In the end, i did love it :) Also, Galina, in alterations.... shes like a magic. She made that dress look so good on me and it was amazing!

I have very mixed feelings about where Id bought my dress. Everything about my gown was spot on perfect. My consultant was friendly and helpful, my dress came in gorgeous, my veil was perfect. My problems started when my bridesmaids shoes (which were ordered black) came in very noticeably navy blue. I was shocked that after going back in, showing them the shoes, and explaining, that they refused to refund my bridesmaids or re dye the shoes. Aweful customer service. I am very dissapointed that they had to waste a good amount of money for shoes that did not match their dresses, not to mention the pictures of the black dresses, and blue shoes! So dissapointing!

I got an amazing deal on the dress of my dreams. This place really spoke to my needs, they spent lots of time with me, they got to know me. I love this place.

When my dress came in it was the wrong size, however they ordered a replacement which arrived within four weeks.

Although I think I got a good deal for my dress, I was not impressed by the staff at all. Within the first five minutes of my dress fitting I was ready to walk out of the store because I thought they were so unprofessional. I wish I had. I continued to have a bad experience through every appointment I had at the store. I would definitely not recommend this store. They have nice dresses and they are flexible about changing things on the dress that you want done, but you have to constantly remind them of what they said they would do and there alterations girl is not very good. So if you do buy the dress from here go to your own alteration person.

I am writing this letter to inform all future brides who are thinking of going to Demetrios in Tacoma or Bellevue for their wedding dress. I'm here to tell you of my dissatisfaction and how very disappointed I was in the customer service I received (or didn?t receive) at your Tacoma retail location. Being an excited and newly engaged bride to be, I thought first to contact Demetrio?s to begin my wedding gown search. When I called and scheduled an appointment (two weeks in advance) to come in to try on some bridal gowns, there was no mention of plans that they were going to relocate the Tacoma store to the Bellevue location nor was I even aware that this change would even take place. After confirming my appointment with the sales associate, I hung up the phone and trusted that my appointment time would be met. Unfortunately, this was not the case. When I arrived at the Tacoma location, I found the doors to be locked and a sign was taped to the door stating, ?We have relocated to the Bellevue location?. Needless to say, I was less than pleased and called the number on the sign to connect me to the Bellevue location. The associate I spoke with seemed confused that I had even had an appointment scheduled at the Tacoma location at all, stating that, to her knowledge, no more appointments were being scheduled at that location. I politely explained to her that I had made my appointment 2 weeks in advance and was highly upset and irritated that no one from either store had bothered to call and tell me that my appointment was to be moved. Feeling highly frustrated, I was shocked at the lack of sympathy and apology the sales associate showed towards me as she began to try to sell me on the upcoming ?trunk show? that was happening the following day (October 9th) in Bellevue. To me, this showed lack of communication and a lack of consideration for me, a future customer. Not only am I livid that my appointment had been lost or canceled, but the last thing I want to hear is information regarding a trunk show. In addition, my mother and sister came in from out of town to accompany me on this appointment and took time off of work to be with me on this exciting shopping trip. Had I been informed of my appointment being canceled ahead of time, I could?ve saved them the time and money and rescheduled my appointment. Furthermore, I've since received contact from someone at Demetrios- once by phone and once through email. The phone call and email only goes to show you how little they pay attention to their customers- in both cases, they thanked me for coming in and trying on gowns and again tried to sell me more products. I am very disappointed in the lack of communication that there was between Demetrio?s and myself. To date, I have heard nothing but good things and compliments about your customer service from friends who have bought gowns from your establishment-and I am sorry I won?t be able to carry on that reputation. The lack of customer service attention to something as small as my appointment time leads me to wonder what other shortcomings their company might have. I expected a much higher level of service from them and I am quite disappointed. I WOULD NEVER visit them in the future for any of my bridal needs and all of my friends are going to hear about my experience with them. If I were you, read this carefully and not consider them for your bridal needs. There are other places where you can get exceptional customer service at (The Elegant Bride, David's Bridal to name a couple) and I would recommend going elsewhere- DO NOT GIVE DEMETRIOS YOUR BUSINESS!!!

I ended up finding my Dress here by chance, only because I had heard a mix of good and bad reviews. But once I found my dress, there just wasn't any other option. I have to say the dress I found was half of my budget, but looked like it was double, so I can complain about that. I do have to express that the customer services is ok. When I called I got the run around, but when I went to the shop, i got better service.

I wish I would have found this store before I got my wedding dress. I tried on dresses at the Brides by Demetrious in Tacoma and it was filthy! But I had a specific bridesmaid dresses I wanted and the Bellevue store carried it so we tried it out. They were amazing! Gorgeous dresses and lots of them! The staff was so helpful anytime we'd call (i had 8 bridesmaids) they knew what wedding it was for and were so friendly! Everything came in early and in perfect condition. They even shipped the dress to my out of town bridesmaid!

Oh, my, I cant' possibly say how wonderful my experience was at Demetrios. I loved Jenn, my salesperson, and Mary Francis the store manager is a doll. My dress was beautiful, as was the flower girl dress I purchased there, and everything arrived before it was supposed to. I also purchased my veil, necklace and earrings there, they have some really beautiful accessories. I looked like a princess on my wedding day, and it is all because of them!!

My wedding dress, i am in love with.. however... the people at bride's by demetrio's in Bellevue Wa were awful when it came to my needs and being there... The times i didnt make an appointment they were there to help me but would stress to me about making an appointment and the times i did make an appointment i felt as if they were not there at all to help me. My bride's maids got there dresses there too... and they messed up the messurements on two of my four girls, and the alterationist... she said she cane only meet at certain times to do alterations, and she couldn't make exceptions past her hours at the store, but yet she would always be there helping someone else. You would think that if i bought my dress that was a lot of money and my brides maids bought theirs there also (which is like another grand) that we would be getting all the help we needed.

Overall, not a bad experience. They worked well with me but tagged on some surprising fees after my dress arrived. I guess after a certain point, you just don't care how much stuff costs and you just want to get it all over and done with. That's how I felt about these guys. Not entirely the most "caring" of vendors, that's for sure. But I would still recommend them to my friends!

My doubts started when we were looking at dresses and my friend, the bride, was told that if we weren't going to try on 'Serious' dresses then we should leave. Because trying on wedding dresses means you only try on ones you 'know' you're going to like, without looking at different styles? Then next fiasco, we ordered our bride's maid's dresses here. I talked with a lady, who told me that I ABSOLUTELY WOULD PUT ON WEIGHT before the wedding, so I should order the larger size (I was between an 8 and 10). I had a friend faxing information back and forth with these people, and after I had told them to order me an 8, the order information came to me as a 12. Fortunately my friend marked it out and made them order me an 8. The other brides were not this lucky. Two of them can put their dresses on, zipped up, over their heads they ordered them so large. They REFUSED to have the dresses altered, they stated that according to the chart these were the 'right' sizes, even though they DIDN'T FIT, they just kept saying that the chart says it was the right size. Even though they are the professionals and should know that hip measurements don't mean squat when ordering a flared hip dress. We had to call corporate and explain that they were ordering the dresses in the wrong size so that they could charge us EACH $150 for alterations (aside from the two of us who demanded dresses in our correct sizes). Even then, they were reluctant to resize the wrong sized dresses.

They also charge more for their dresses than ordering them online, and it's slower.

Apart from being rude, and trying to swindle us out of extra money, oh wait, there wasn't anything good about this place.

The service staff at Demetrios is pretty young. They are willing to help, but the help at the front desk seemed a little under-experienced. The ladies who help you pick out dresses will bring you everything and anything you like. Unfortunately, their size selection is a little slim, but you can still find lots of dresses that you will love.

I bought my dress very late, and this salon made sure to order it and I got it in plenty of time. The dresses were very reasonable, especially in comparison to other salons. They were beautiful, the salon was comfortable, and the only issues I did have were quickly taken care of by the store owner. A great place to add to your lost of salons to visit!

The staff were helpful, kind and very enthusiastic. I loved their willingness to assist and how friendly they were.

My dress was amazing - the fact that I could take their design and customize it to suit my body and my tastes was amazing. They were so helpful and professional, but VERY EXPENSIVE!! If you are willing to spend a lot for the perfect dress, definately shop here.

My wife got her dress from Demetrios and said the whole process was pretty smooth.

Although i didn't get my dress here, i had a blast trying dresses on here! this place gives you the "movie" feeling of trying on dresses. they have a HUGE selection, nice fitting rooms, and great mirrors. they are a little pricey, but i recommend even if you are on a budget getting the experience and figuring out what you are looking for at a shop like this.

Dresses are gorgeous and great quality. Also a good selection of bridesmaid dresses from great brands. Prices are on the pricier end.

They almost ruined my wedding... dress wasn't ready when it should have been. They eventually kicked into gear and I ended up being able to wear it (and they threw in a veil). Wish I had it sooner so I could have had it hemmed...
