We only experienced two issues with our wedding, both were related to the clothing 1) my wedding jacket (purchased at another bridal salon) 2) bridesmaid dresses.

The bridesmaid dresses I selected for my girls were originally with David's Bridal - who discontinued the line I chose. Being that I'm a first time 39 yr-old bride getting married in the North Texas area in late spring - a considerate bride would not dress her girls (in their mid-30's / early 40's) in satin which is not only hot, but shows every flaw in the wrong light.

I wanted a light pink taffeta bridesmaid dress in separates so that the girls could choose the top and skirt that complemented their figure the best that came with a matching jacket ... after scrubbing the whole of the internet I came across exactly what I was looking for and the designer was sold at Demetrios!

So my girls and I went over to Demetrios with the intent to try on the different tops/skirts to see which one fit each girl best, unfortunately while they sold the separates, they did not have any in the salon, so the girls had to try on other dresses / skirts in the salon to get a feel for which top/skirt would be best for them - once we determined that the salon measured the girls and we placed the order.

The dresses were everything I had hoped for - beautiful color, very elegant, and stylish - only issue, the salon measured the girls too small! But the manager was amazing! She apologized and told us not to worry - she gave us the name of their alterations woman and told us she would handling everything and they would cover the cost. And handle everything she did! WOW! The Demetrios alterations woman was a miracle worker! You couldn't even tell the tops and jackets were too small ... and the turn around was unbelievable! My bridesmaids looked amazing - they were comfortable, and happy which made me happy.

Demetrios alterations woman was so amazing that I ended up taking the wedding jacket I ordered from another bridal salon that came in 6 weeks late - 8 day before our wedding and 2x too small! She was able to turn the alterations around so quickly we are still trying to figure how she pulled it off!

Long and short - while Demetrios caused the problem, they resolved it quickly and we incurred no costs. The manager was very professional and couldn't have been any nicer ... I wish we had purchased my dress from them, unfortunate for me I didn't.

I got my dress from Brides by Demetrios and it was gorgeous. I got so many compliments on it. It was a little over $1,000, which I found reasonable for a dress as pretty as it was. Heather was very patient with me as I tried on so many dresses. Dress came on time and looked as expected.

I loved my dress!! They were wonderful in helping me find the perfect dress and for the right price. I truly felt like my dream wedding was coming true and I felt like the dress was PERFECT! They were very helpful and didn't pressure me in any way.

I only have good things to say, My dress was rockin and they did everything I asked for. The tailor had a great atitude and I loved my dress.

The ladies at Demetrios were extremely helpful, I have never had so much fun trying on dresses. I spent 7 hours looking, and finally found the one I wanted. I would definitely tell others about Demetrios.

I loved this store. I bought my wedding dress here. I went it jsut to look not to buy and within a few seconds i had found my dress. The people there were so helpful and nice and the store was so clean and not over crowded by dresses. It was an amazing experience.

The alterations woman was fantastic. She took in my dress twice and was very friendly about everything. Most employees, especially the woman who was a little older than the others. However, a couple of the women at the front were downright dismal in attitude. Overall, glad I got a Demetrios dress and that it was so reasonable. Alterations were $300 which made me a little frustrated, but the dress came out perfectly.

The dress was absolutely amazing and the staff was great. The only complaint we had was that we were told that the dress would be in July 10th, it didn't arrive until the end of August, which wasn't a huge issue but they never called us to let us know what was going on. Other than that they are amazing.

My dress was so amazing!! I got compliments the entire night. I felt just like a princess and couldnt have imagined wearing any other dress for my wedding night!! Thank you so much for putting me in such an amazing dress

My gown and experience was wonderful!!!My consultant had over 20 years experience in the industry and knew her stuff. I had no idea going into this but came out feeling like a pro she suggested things that would look good on my body type and I looked amazing!

I worked with Katrina at Demetrios, she is very nice and helpful. Everything with my wedding dress was great, I received 15% off at the bridal show, I got the gown of my dreams for way under my budget, came in very quickly and everything was perfect. They did however drop the ball on the flower girl dress, we paid to expedite it and although it did come in before the wedding it took longer than the expedit was supposed to and no one at the store could really tell us about tracking and shipping until it actually arrived at the store.

I purchased my wedding dress here after going to four stores and trying out at least 15 gowns. I simply loved the ambiance of the place and the variety offered. Everyone complimented my dress!

I walked in and saw the PERFECT tiara and had to have it. I had previously shopped their dresses, but they weren't my style, however the tiara I later bought was amazing! Little "proud" and pricey, but product was great!

My dress was beautiful! Really a one of a kind! The staff was very friendly, although the manager seemed a little hesitant to help me, she probably thought I couldn't afford it. Don't be intimidated to go in this store though. The choices are amazing and the dress was worth every dime!

I really appreciated the selection and cost of the dresses. Mine was priced great, and beautiful. I found it odd they insisted on all my bridesmaids getting sized and then having to buy a dress a size up and pay to get it tailored. If you know she's a size 4, why force her to buy a size 6 so she can pay you to tailor it back down to a 4?! Just let her buy the size she is! It makes no sense. But, my dress was beautiful, and I did think it was well priced. Dealing with the salesperson was not particularly unpleasant, I just thought how they operated was a bit backwards and left a bad taste in my mouth.

I love my dress, it is beautiful.... However, I had a very bad experience getting my dress. I wanted to try on a specific dress before I paid 2,000 dollars for it. The company said they would have one shipped from Florida to Dallas so I could see it in person. I paid 50$ to have it sent. when my mom and I drove from Colorado to Dallas (a 13hour drive) to go to our appointment to see the dress we paid to have sent, the dress had not arrived due to a mix up in Florida. Luckily after and hour the UPS man came with the dress. They pulled the shrink wrapped gown out of the tiny box and I got to see the dress in its wrinkled squished state. I decided to order the dress for myself. It was scheduled to arrive in October....it didn't! If finally came the second week in November, 3 days after our scheduled fitting appointment that we drove 13hrs again to be at and arrived to see NO dress! although we were very frustrated with the messy situation the dress was absolutely stunning and I felt beautiful in it!

Dress was gorgeous! However, I choose this store because I wanted a more special experience than davids bridal. I ordered my dress over a year before my wedding date, was told it would take less than 6 months to receive my dress. Paid extra for special measuring as well. My dress came in 11 months later and was not to my size from the measurements that I paid extra for. My dress had to be reordered on rush delivery, only to arrive 1 week before my bridal portraits. Worst experience ever, would NEVER recommend this store to anyone. Loved the dress, hated the store and the service I got.

I wish I could write a good review for Brides by Demetrios in Dallas but we had a horrible experience. 1. My dress came in a size to small because the sales person measured me wrong. 2. My salesperson ordered the wrong veil. They were not very accommodating or flexible when resolving these issues. The dress, after several alterations, turned out to be ok. The value of the dress was great compared to the cost, but I do not recommend this place based on the issues I experienced. If you go to Demetrios and pick a dress - make sure that you order your dress based on your measurements and do not let the sales person tell you any differently. Measure yourself to double-check your measurements. Also make sure the item numbers match for the dress and accessories you order.
