All I can say is WOW! I met with David on Sunday along with my mother, aunt, and bestfriend, after a terrible terrible did I say terrible experience at Alfred Angelo bridal store in sunrise. If you are plus size don't even think about going there. Its a waste of time! My plus size divas if you want excellent service, professionalism, someone that going to listen to your ideas of your dream dress and then deliver? Girls then go to David. NO BULL! He is the man you want to see. When I walked through the doors I felt so welcome. David was awesome. He ask me a few questions about styles that I like and questions about the wedding. It was less then 15 min he picked out this dress not knowing at the time it was the one. He wanted to give me an idea of how the dress would look on me. the dress sample was 4 times smaller then my original size. I said to myself this is not going to work. Oh me of little faith! David worked his magic and I fell in love. OMG! you would not believe how beautiful and sexy I looked. My mother was so surprised and she is very hard to satisfy. she had to eat her words because in the beginning before I tried on the dress the first words out her mouth was I don't like it. she loved the dress so much she couldn't stop smiling. she was like wow that is your dress you don't have to look no further. David, you truly were a pleasure to work with . I'm from Barbados and went to miami looking for bridesmaid dresses blindly ( bad idea ) I looked online that night and went the next day to make an appointment at brides of america. I knew exactly what I wanted and David went to the extra mile to make it all happen like magic. David thanks so much for your help and your immediate correspondence during this stressful process ( less stressful because of you!) Let me start by saying that I am VERY hard to please, especially for an event like this. I didn't even WANT to do the Miracle Mile thing. Forget it. I have lived in Miami and am over the overpaying to say you got it "there" illness. No offense to anyone who has gotten a gown from a vendor on Miracle Mile, but it's just not me. I am sure there are many great vendors and beautiful options (in fact, I know there are, but I wanted to avoid the beaten path.

David's little shop is tucked away, and from the outside, you might be tempted to question your decision, but once you step inside and you see how charming the boutique is and how warm and welcoming David is, you are glad you came. I can't thank him enough for his service, patience, candid input, and ego boosting remarks. LOL He really made the day special for me, my friends, and my family. David and his family have been in the business for YEARS, and it shows. He really knows what he's doing, has great sense, and a great eye for what looks good on you.

I could go on and on, but I would be selling this review and this vendor short if I didn't say that this is a must-stop for all brides to be. If you decide the dresses aren't for you (and it'll be hard because he has many beautiful dresses), you would still have had the pleasure of his service.

The best experience I ever had here! The owner, David and Ms. Aurora were absolutely amazing and they are the sweetest people I've ever met! David worked with me so closely and listened to what I liked and wanted and I found a wedding dress. Definitely the first place you should go to find your perfect dress! I went to David not knowing what to expect. I'm plus size and other stores don't cater to my body type. Also Im in my twenties and the stuff they have are so out dated. But David is god sent he put me in dresses I wouldn't Even think would suit me and I fell in love with tw but could only be one he took his time and explained the two looks and didn't push for the most expensive but what looked best. I no its difficult to find dresses out there(plus size) don't settle because they only Got one dress for you to try or pick from a magazine and hope Brides of America is the place to be on moy wedding day I felt beautiful and confident. The dress was tailored beautifully we added straps because I'm top heavy. I was not for it but searched and found a fabric that was Made for me Thanks David

What can I say? David is the best! David has such passion for his customers and ensures that they find the right dress. I was actually trying to find my bridemaids dresses but David turn that agenda right around with his excitement and enthusiam! He reminded me that my wedding day should be about me and I needed to get myself covered first! The third dress I tried on was THE DRESS! It was an exciting and overwhelming moment for me. Where do I start? I went to David's Bridal and left crying, the sales person treated me like another number. I didn't want to talk about a wedding dress for almost a week (which is an eternity since we were engaged 10/22/11 and married 12/17/11). When I called around I could not get anyone to see me after work. Except for David, when I called him he was so warm on the phone and was willing to wait so that I could come after work. When I came in he sat me down and took the time to get to know me and what the vision was for the wedding. When I tried the dresses on he gave his honest opinion. I have a hard time choosing and he made it easy by choosing only 5 options and having me knock them out one at a time.The dress that I ended up with was the PERFECT dress. I had the feeling, I couldn't stop smiling. I am so happy that I went with David, he made me feel like my opinion was important. Everyone loved the dress and me in it. I cannot say enough, Brides of America is the best place to go for one on one service and an honest opinion.

There is not enough space on this website for me to give a review that David Abadi from Brides of America deserves. (I just wrote a very long review, and somehow it deleted, so here it is again - hopefully I covered everything I initially stated). David Abadi is an amazing, knowledgeable, honest, warm-hearted man (the list goes on) who serves as a Bridal consultant at Brides of America. I went to several bridal shops prior to going to Brides of America, and I honestly started to feel that "all consultants" cared more about a quick sell rather than trying to identify what you want and what will make you look beautiful on your big day. I was fed up when consultants would put time constraints on me, and would want me to purchase the wedding gown (or at least put a down payment) on the same day. Why is it expected that a bride make such a big decision in such limited amount of time? It was not until I met David Abadi when I realized that not all consultants care about their "quota." Out of the several consultants (literally) I encountered, David is the only one who was patient, honest, and I felt valued me and what would make me the happiest on my big day. I even contacted the News because I wanted a news reporter to interview David so Brides would know about Brides of America. Once again, I have been to a number of bridal shops because I was looking for the perfect dress, and Brides of America is the only vendor I will recommend to all brides. As a bride, I wanted honesty. David is a knowledgeable person who really wanted to help me find the perfect dress, instead of trying to convince me to purchase the first dress that I said I liked (no pressure!!). With David's help and efforts, I was a very very confident bride walking down the aisle (two weeks ago). People are still talking about my gown. Now if you are no longer a bride, and are reading these reviews, I still recommend Brides of America for evening gowns (Bridesmaid dresses that can be worn for formal events). I recommend Brides of America for wedding gowns, Bridesmaid dresses (and evening gowns), tuxedos (from David's father) and accessories. Also, tailoring is done there too!!! "One-stop shop." What can I say about this brilliant, charming man by the name of David! Before meeting David we had exchanged emails back and forth discussing my ideal wedding dress. He was quick to reply and knew exactly the look that I was going for. On my first consultation I had no intentions of buying a gown that day but I did! David made me feel very comfortable with his loving and warm personality. It did not take longer for me to find my perfect dress with him. I received my dress in a timely manner and so did my mother. There were some complications with my mother's gown but right away David offered to fix it and problem solved! On the day of my gown pick up, David truly surprised me by providing me a beautiful hair accessory that had a huge flower with diamonds and feathers and to top it off he also provided me with earrings and this was his gift to me! With or without a gift I would highly recommend David to any future brides. David and his family make you feel welcomed and his customer service is one of a kind.

There is a gorgeous selection of dresses at excellent prices - that are up-to-date with fashionistas with fabric and accessories to make you glimmer and glow! But above all the most outstanding thing is David's service and atention to his brides and customers - he will tell you straight up if the dress does not look good on you and will suggest a better alternative - even if it is th dress of your dreams - he will put you in an even more gorgeous dress flattering to you, your body type and your personality! He is the only one in the store, he closes the door, no-one else comes in when you have an appt with him - you have his undivided attention! And it is worth it! I got all of my bridesmaids dresses, my MIL dress, cocktail dresses and evening wear plus outfitted my stunning dress all at Brides of America!!! David is great and very accommodating. He knows what he is doing and loves what he does - that says everything. He gave my daughter in law great advice and guidance and super service. My zipper on my dress broke 2 weeks before the wedding because it got stuck as I was trying on the dress at home. David ordered it me a new one since I couldn't find it at a store and all worked out. His professionalism and expertise is priceless. It was a bit far for me from Miami but it is worth it.

I love David!! He made me feel like I'm the only bride every time I walked into the store. He went above what I needed and because I got my bridesmaids dresses there he gave me a grate deal on everything. My dress was one of a kind. My dress came with no bead work nothing. David added everything by hand to the dress we changed the back of the dress, add a one shoulder, with my input we made the dress one of a kind. There maybe other dress that like my dress but don't look at it. I loved it.

I went to many of the top South Florida wedding boutiques. When I came to David's it was a totally different experience. He only takes in 1 appointment at a time and he personally devotes that time to you. You are not waiting for a sales person or have to be in a busy store full of distractions. I got married September 9th 2011, and the dress I purchased at Brides of America completed my day. I came in thinking a big dress for me. David the owner and the person you deal with met with me and told me to tell him about myself and my wedding colors, place ect. Then he asked me to pick as many dresses as I wanted and then if I could try 3 dresses he had chosen for me. The first dress he chose for me was my wedding dress and I couldnt have been any happier, its incredible how someone that knows all the aspects of their job can make you look and feel the way I did in my wedding dress. Searching for a dress was very stressful for me. I started with David's Bridal and got horrible horrible service. Then moved on to Alfred Angelos. First visit was great, but during the second and third, the lady who assisted me was very aggressive and was pushing me to buy a dress. She said I had to order already as time was running out. Every dress I tried, according to her, seemed to be "the dress". I almost bought a dress I did not really like.

Then I found brides of America and David was just so wonderful. He provided excellent customer service, provided very helpful suggestions and honest opinions. There was no pressure whatsoever to make up my mind right away. I love love love David!

Brides of America made shopping for my wedding dress a dream. I was worried about dress shopping by myself (my mother lives in another state) but as soon as I walked into the shop, David made me feel like I had a team of support with me. He even helped by taking pictures so we could send them to my mother while I was there. David is the the best, he makes you feel more like family than a customer. I went to Brides of America 3 months before my wedding and did not pick a dress till my second visit, the staff was very patient and got my dress ordered, shipped and altered in time for my wedding. I also ordered dresses for 4 bridesmaids, amid of honor and 2 junior bridesmaids, ony 2 were local but that did not matter the others called in their measurements and David got them there in time and alterations were done quickly. We even ordered Tux for all the guys. My experience was great I would recommend Brides of America in a heartbeat.

NOTE: Be on-top of your girls to make final payments as the dresses will not be shipped until final payment is made. David will let you know who is missing.

David at Brides of America is AMAZING. He has an eye for design and will fit you in a perfect dress. Everyone was talking about my dress. As soon as I came into the store, David treated me as if I was the only person in the world. I described to him what I was looking for and he told me he had my dress. The FIRST dress I tried on was my dress. I looked amazing in it. Even though I was head over heels for the dress, David encouraged me to try on some more dresses just to make sure it was the one. I really appreciated that he did that because I had no doubt that was my dress. David is such a wonderful person, he will bend over backwards to make sure that you get the best service. I have already recommended him and I will continue to do so. *One caution, make sure you read the contract fully because my bridemaids dresses came in later than I expected because my bridemaids failed to pay their dresses on time. None of the dresses will come in unless there is a zero balance so stay on top of your bridal party. I also want to thank the stream tress, she doesn't speak English but she's a pro and she will make any dress look good on you. Thank you again David, you're the BEST!

I highly recommend Brides of America Miami!!! I spent months looking for the "perfect" wedding dress for months at various big chain and mid-sized bridal stores, but I wasn't impressed UNTIL I walked into Brides of America one weekday afternoon. David was there and he greeted me with a warm, friendly enthusiasm while he helped me find a variety of couture bridal gowns that gave me hope and made me SMILE. He was very consultative with a wealth of knowledge about bridal fashion. The dresses he picked for me were so beautiful and elegant...and very reasonably priced! Plus, I was relieved that I found a bridal store that appealed to my taste! I finally selected the Wedding Dress of my DREAMS and was so pleased that I found my hair accessories, bridal veil, shoes, and later, my bridesmaid dresses, flower girl & mother-of-the bride dress, too. At the moment I knew I was getting married the first thing that crossed my mind was the dress. Off course I thought of big stores, and when I went there they have no customer service, I had to look for dress and at the end it was frustrating. I arrived to Brides of America looking for one bridesmaid dress. I ended up buying my wedding dress, five bridesmaid dresses, the flower girls dress and my mom bought 2 dresses!
I went with one of my bridesmaids to order her dress, while she did that I looked through the wedding dresses aisle and I just saw this beautiful dress! David, the owner, saw my face and asked if i wanted to try it on, I was surprised I did not need an appointment as most places you do. That same day I bought that dress! Great price and great customer service.
David really knows what he is doing and gives recommendations of what fits you best. You do not feel pressured to purchase which is VERY different than other places.
I would buy in his store FOREVER If it was an option! jejeje

just have to write and say that David from Brides of America was heaven sent. I hate to read that some people had a bad experience. I dont know how because I worked with David and his amazing seamstress for my mothers dress, my matrons dress and my dress and me and my family have nothing but great things to say. As soon as I walked in, he was happy, helpful and so genuinely sweet. I shopped around at other bridal stores and didnt receive the level of service I got there. They worked there behinds off to cater to my revisions for a dress I saw. The seamstress did it in a couple of days and I was just blown away! Price, Service, Quality...Really, it doesnt get any better than David at Brides of America. Sorry Im writing so much I just had to tell everyone how great they really were to us. I got my bridesmaids dresses at Brides of America. They have a huge selection of dresses at great prices. The dresses arrived as promised, and they were beautiful. David was a pleasure to work with. He was very responsive to all my questions, he returned phone calls, etc. etc. I recommend this place to anyone!

This place was very professional they were also impressed that they worked with your budget. They worked with me and let me know in advance when my dress was going to be there so that i could schedule an appointment. They offered amenities for waiting family. I even fell in love with some invitations there and they stayed after hours to help me with them.
The day before the wedding i noticed a small mistake on my dress that was caused by a confusion and they saw me first thing in the morning and even gave me a free guest-sign in book because of the incoveneince. I was so pleased with them that i bought my flower girl basket and a candelabra from them. They were great! AND AMAZING PRICE!

They have prices that will fit any and every budget. All colors are available and they are will in to work woth you and provide you with discounts for your bridal party.And extra % off accessories.

Elegant, sexy, gorgeous were all words I had in mind that would describe the kind of dress I was looking for and David at Brides of America found a dress that said all of these things and so much more. I have to admit that although I went to only one other place to look at wedding dresses, David at Brides of America took the wedding dress buying experience to an entire new level that I only thought existed on those bridal shows I love to watch on television. He took time to hear what I like and didn't like about the dresses he showed me, he spent one on one time with me and my mom to help me find MY perfect dress, which I absolutely love. Being a med student, details mean everything to me, and he added just the right details to my dress to perfect it just for me. Would I recommend this vendor to a friend? Absolutely, if for nothing else, every bride deserves to have an experience such as this.

OMG! Where can I begin; I had such a great experience with Brides of America. After searching through many shops, the whole experience and quality of product from this retailer is in a different league! I found Brides of America on an internet search and decided one day to travel and check the store out. I found the place quite easy off the Palmetto Highway. When I arrived, I noticed how the set up was elegant and beautiful. When I entered the boutique, I was greeted with such wonderful customer service and professionalism that all the anxiety I initially felt was put to ease. David and his team at Brides of America made me feel so special. They offered one-to-one consultation and personalized service and the boutique was beautifully decorated. The dresses are maintained to a high standard i.e. no marks or snags, fresh not dull, etc. The selection of dresses is huge, with something to suit everyone. David, the owner knows his products and has extensive experience to assist you with all your bridal needs. David helped custom fit me to my gorgeous wedding gown by Morilee (huh, just beautiful). I also got my tiara and veil there as well as my shoes. I thought the dresses would be really expensive but the price ranges are very reasonable for the quality of the item that you get in the end. I was so impress with Brides of America excellent service, that after my wedding I brought my Wedding gown back to David to have him send it off for preservation. He was so kind and patient with me, considering I never came back for the gown till a year later lol. :~), but he still held it for me. I'm so blessed to have met David and his team at the time of my wedding. The excellent service provided during that time has made me a loyal customer. I tell all my family and friends about them all the time and encourage them to visit Brides of America for a personal satisfactory experience. Thank you Brides of America for such excellent service. YES!! YES!! YES!! From the moment I walked in, I loved it. I went looking for wedding dresses in dozens of places, from David's to warehouses to Coral Gables boutiques on Miracle Mile. At Brides of america I didn't feel like I'm viewed as a walking wallet, I was able to take my time to look around and when I asked for assistance, the staff listend to what I wanted and didn't try to shove me anything else which didn't match my request.
The seamstress on-site is highly professional and practically sewed a whole new dress for me (added sleaves instead of the sphagetti straps, sewed down a mid-thigh slit, waist in, bust up - you name it) at a very reasonable price. The dress itself, to my amazement, cost less than $250 (!!) before alterations (which were aprox. $50). YES, YOU CAN FIND THE DRESS OF YOUR DREAMS WITHOUT SPENDING YOUR HOME'S DOWN PAYMENT.

There are many stressfull events that take place during the planning process of a wedding. However, going to visit with David was my fun time. There were many beautiful dresses and David helped me to pick out the perfect one for me. I was a bit worried when the dress took a little longer to arrive, but we had time and David put me at ease. He was always warm and welcoming, like family, and I must admit, the many compliments most certainly helped me feel confident and at even more beautiful. Everything with my dress was as it should and as promised for my special day. Thank you David and staff.

I love this place. I had imagined going into a bridal store and feeling just like the show Say Yes To The Dress and David created that feeling for me. Everyone commented on how beautiful my dress was on the day of the wedding. If I had to do it all over again I would still buy a dress from Brides of America.

The first time I have ever heard of Brides of America was at a bridal show. So I went there to look at dresses. From the moment I walked in the door until I left, their hospitality and customer service was above expectations! The owner has been in this business forever and was exceptional when it came to helping me pick out a dress that complimented my body type, style, and price range. I would I highly recommend them to anyone!!! Even their seamstress was professional, reasonably priced, and had alterations complete within a week.

I got a Morilee wedding dress from Brides of America. The dress was beautful and very affordable with all the discounts that I received. My dress was late, which was why I didn't give them 5/5, but David (owner) was very persistent at getting my dress off the truck at the factory. He felt so bad that it was late that he gave me another discount. The seamstress, her name escapes me, was wonderful at rushing the alterations for me. She was also very affordable, alterations and bustle for $200 flat rate. Although she does not speak a word of English, she understood my broken Spanish and hand gestures to make the dress just right.

My mom and I were very pleased with the selection, affordability and willingness to make you feel like a dream bride. My sister was shoping for a wedding dress.After visiting some others places she find out about Brides of America. We meet David and his charming personality .He let my sister shop around,ask her what style she was looking for,he pick up three dresses,and said:Try this two first,but your dress is this .(the third one ) My sister try the dress he picked and she was complitely seduce by the dress,a year later she used at her wedding.She was so happy in her wedding day ,and many times she said:" I love my dress,I love my dress."
David also give us ideas for the bridesmaid dresses and the colors.He know what he is doing and his shop is charming and very pretty.

Shopping for for wedding dress was exciting but brough on anxiety. Brides of America was my first stop while looking for my wedding dress. The very first dress I tried on I fell in love with. However, I wanted to be sure it was the one so I went other places and tried on over 20 dresses. But it was not only the dress at Brieds of America that I fell in love with, but the exceptional services that I was provided with. David made me feel so welcomed and he listened to every word I had to say. David worked with my budget and was able to get my dress within a short period of time. I would definitely recommend Brides of America to any bride who is looking for the perfect dress and the best service!

I absolutely recommend Brides of America. David is the greatest consultant I have ever dealt with. I had gone to a few other places before showing up at his store and I didn't like how I was treated. I felt like they rushed just to get rid of me and go on to the next client. One time I even went into a store telling the consultant my budget and she made me try on a dress 3 thousand dollars OVER my budget. But my experience at Brides of America was incredible. David took his time to talk to me about my wedding, my plans, my tastes, which no other consultant had ever done with me before. Reason No. 1 why I fell in love with this place.

He knows what looks best and he can tell what type of style you have and will look good on you just by looking at you first hand. I have told many of my friends who are also getting married this year to go visit him. They definitely won't regret that decision. I ended up purchasing my dress from his store and I can NOT wait till it arrives!

I loved my dress. The prcie was excellent. the only thing that I did not like was that they did not give my dress on time. Thanks to God I told them it was going to be for one week before my real date of the wedding other wise i would not know what happen

I love this place. I feel at home each time I walked through the doors of Brides of America I was greeted by the owner David with a hug. The experience is so personal and he knows how to make a bride feel like a bride. David has an eye for fashion and will give you his honest opinion. I got my dress for my mom's wedding from here and when the time came for me to choose a gown for my wedding I returned without second thought. No matter your budget you can get a fabulous wedding dress and first class service. The one thing I dislike is the fact that the store is closed on saturdays.

When my fiencee proposed to me a year ago, the first thing that came to my mind after I said yes to him was my wedding dress. I was very concerned about it. I've been online searching for my dress. I found a pretty elegent dress online and I said to my mom and my sisters "this is it". The only place that I could find my dress was at BOA. OMG first time I got there David was very nice to me. For the first time in my life I received such a wonderful welcome to a business owner. At BOA, you feel like a family David treats all of his customer like a celebrity. I would refer anyone whether a new wed or for a formal wear, to go to BOA. At my wedding, everyone was asking about my dress. I look an angel came from above thanks to my friend David. He will give them the best advice and service that they need. Thanks Dave YOU ARE NUMBER ONE IN TOWN" I will never forget you Love you my brother.

Brides of America provided my bridesmaid's dresses and the tuxedos for the groom and the groomsmen. The entire team at Brides of America was very courteous and the prices competitive. The only two issues I had were the following: Two of my bridesmaids had previously made an appointment with the seamstress of the store, drove an hour to the appointment, only to find the the seamstress was not there, nor could be reached by phone. When one of the bridesmaids picked up her dress she found manufacturer stains on the dress. However, the owner was very professional in addressing these issues to the best of his ability, and refunded the total amount of the defective dress to my bridesmaid.

I found my perfect dress with David. During the appointment, he catered to only me and did not work with anyone else. His initial appointment is definitely different than any other wedding dress shop I went to. I probably tried on 100 dresses before I found the one at Brides of America. I had so many compliments at the wedding. The cost of the dress was way less than you would have expect. The seamstress did a great job bringing in the sides, putting in cups, and shortening it since I was a petite bride. My only problem was the dress arrived about a month or two late. Luckily, I ordered the dress in plenty of time that it was not an issue for our wedding date.

My dress was beautiful and inexpensive, but not cheap. They were very friendly.

The boutique is comfortable and has a wide range of selections. I came to the store knowing exactly what I wanted. I came out from the store with the gown just as I wanted. The price was reasonable and couldn't ask for a better service. I really love my gown!!

if you are looking to rent the dress this is not the place to go, and they charge you and arm and a leg to do alterations. But if you want to buy they have a lot of variety and styles of dresses.

I bought my bridesmaids dresses here and was thrilled with the place at first. When one of my BMs and I walked in (without an appointment), the owner David was great. Unlike the other shops we had visited that day, he gave us all his attention and started pulling all kinds of dresses for us as soon as he got a brief description of what I wanted. I had five bridesmaids all with VERY different body types. One was tall, a couple were short, one was pear shaped, and one was stick thin. Some had big chests, others didn't and David managed to find a dress that looked amazing on all of them (no small feat)!

However, once we had decided on the dress and to purchase them from Brides of America, things went downhill. The challenge was that my BMs were all over the country. I asked David if it was going to be ok to ship the dresses out to the girls. He assured me it wouldn't be a problem so we proceeded with the order. Each girl called in with her measurements and they ordered the appropriate sizes for them. He told us it would take three months to get the dresses in but it ended up taking closer to 8!! Luckily I had purchased the dresses in plenty of time so I was annoyed but not worried. When the dresses finally arrived, they didn't arrive all together. One was supposedly stuck in customs while the others made it through. They were all shipped to a warehouse in Boca and he would only go up there once a week, if that. In fact, one week he "forgot" to go up there and my dresses sat in the warehouse for an extra week. Once the dresses were in the Miami store, the BMs were supposed to call with their addresses and pay the shipping fee ($20). They all did so promptly but he took another two to three weeks to send them out. After several un-returned calls, I wrote an e-mail and got an immediate response. Come to find out he had the dresses hanging on the back of his door and had again forgotten to send them out. So, at this point, 4 of the 5 BMs have their dresses and it is about six weeks before the wedding. The final dress is still missing and my BM calls and calls and calls and never gets a response. There is even a message on the store answering machine that goes through a whole spiel before saying "Please don't leave a message on this machine." FINALLY, my BM is able to get a hold of David. He plays dumb, blames the error on the manufacturer, and promises to order her another dress, rushed, and have it shipped directly to her. He tells her she will probably receive two dresses and she has to send the other one back so that she isn't charged twice. Three weeks before the wedding, the dress finally arrives crumpled in a ball in a UPS box. She NEVER received two dresses. I am convinced they never ordered her dress to begin with and then tried to cover up their mistake at the last minute. I can honestly say I was in touch with them on a regular basis regarding the status of the dresses. I even went IN to the store once because I wasn't getting any responses to my e-mails or phone calls. On this particular day, David is there and he tells me that running this shop is his HOBBY and he likes to do things his own way (i.e. he is not interested in listening to me tell him that the dress still hasn't arrived 4 weeks before the wedding). I was very turned off by him telling me that this was his hobby. That insinuated to me that his clients weren't all that important to him, he just wanted to have some fun selling dresses.

On a more positive note, David was always super nice to me no matter what. He was wonderful the day we picked out the dresses and EVERYONE at the wedding complimented my BM dress choice. In fact, many people said they have never seen more beautiful dresses and acknowledged the challenge of fitting 5 totally different girls in the same dress. So in terms of capability, David is an expert.

I would not recommend this store to any brides who are not eternally patient or to those who have a short time frame to work with. If you want to purchase your BM dresses a year in advance and are willing to sacrifice service for an amazing eye for fashion, then by all means, go to this store. The end result was great but I'm not sure if I would pick this place if I had to do it all over again.


***Update: I received a message from David post-wedding apologizing for the confusion surrounding my BM dress. He was extremely apologetic and nice on the call and even refunded the entire amount of the dress and shipping in question. I definitely appreciate his attention even if it is post-wedding. To be clear, I wasn't writing this review to bad-mouth or prevent people from going to Brides of America. I thought David was very sweet and as I said before, I had tons of compliments on the dresses at my wedding. I just wanted to give other brides some information so they could make an informed decision. I know if I had had more access to review before my wedding, it would have saved me a lot of time (and I'm not speaking specifically here).
