Burgundy Basin

I absolutely loved this venue. They were so helpful in setting everything up, the food was amazing for the price. The workers were always on top of everything, always asking if I or the groom needed anything. I loved it. I would definitely have another event at this venue and will recommend it to everyone.

My daughter had her reception at The Burgandy Basin on a Friday night in July 2011. From the first day we walked in the door to inquire about this venue to the day of the wedding Michael Clarcq and his crew at the Burgandy Basin were wonderful. I can't say enough about them. They truly were great. Compared to other places in the area for wedding receptions - the Burgandy Basin was much more affordable. I was a little nervous about this, fearing that maybe things wouldn't be as nice. I was so wrong, everything was great. My daughter has been to several weddings this summer at the more exclusive venues and always had a negative comment about the places, food was terrible, place was crowded etc. The comments I have heard after my daughter's wedding were all positive. In fact I heard many say that their chicken french was the best they ever had.
Mike was so personable and easy to work with. They we able to accomodate all our request and made us feel whatever we asked for they would find a way to do it - and they did! We had quite an unique table and room set up and the staff was able to set everything up exactly as we wanted. Sarah, our hostess was excellent and very patient with our requests. She was so calm, it helped me relax!
Again, I can't express how pleased I was with everything about the Burgandy Basin, the staff, the room which was spacious and recently remodelled (as much of the place has been), the food, the service. I would highly recommend them to anyone planning a reception or party.

We were thrilled with our wedding at the Burgundy Basin! We got engaged in February and decided to have a May wedding (that same year). Mike and his staff were phenomenal about offering us the timeline we hoped for as well as deals along the way. Denise was very helpful with any questions I had. We couldn't have been happier with the way the day worked out! Burgundy Basin offered so many services, I found it much easier and more cost effective to get our cake and centerpieces from them rather than continue to look elsewhere. Our day went smoothly even with a bit of rain. Our bartender Sara was excellent. Overall our guests were very pleased and we had a perfect day. I definitely would recommend Burgundy Basin as a place to hold your event. It is probably the best value you can find for your money.

Everyone at Burgundy Basin is incredibly helpful and nice. They are very organized and helped us with anything that we needed. The food is really good and it was nice because there was a sampling before the wedding. On the wedding day we were completely catered to and any decision that was made was not made without us.

I had an amazing expierence with Burgundy Basin. I was supposed to have my wedding outside in the white gazebo and up until an hour before the ceremony we were all set for outside. THEN it was raining, the crew their quickly moved everything inside and made it perfect for us. The food is amazing, the price is affordable and everyone there is soo nice! I would highly recommend them!

I can't rave enough about how wonderful Burgundy Basin was. We had our ceremony and reception there. They did everything from the buffet to the cake to the decorations to the centerpieces. We made the choices of what we wanted and they provided it. The food was great, the cake was great, the decor was great, the people were great. Highly recommended, and the prices are VERY reasonable for the high quality services you will receive.

Mike Clarcq and his staff were absolutely tremendous! We had our ceremony at the white gazebo outside and the weather was perfect! Then we had our reception inside and had 2 rooms due to our number of guests (Erie/Clinton Room). The room was absolutely beautiful ever since they remodeled it inside! The staff was very attentive to my groom and I. They made sure everything went smoothly. If anything didn't run smoothly then I wasn't aware of it other than my florist and baker who messed up big time! The staff made sure we were on time with events throughout the night and even though they were very attentive, they weren't intrusive in pictures or anything like that. I'm glad we decided to have our reception here because they were very flexible with things we wanted to do and have for our wedding. They allowed us to have an 8' candy table with candies brought in from the store, they allowed us to have wine for the toast instead of champagne (we don't like champagne), and my dad and groom had alot of food choices for the buffet which was fantastic!!!! For the price and what you're given here, you just can't beat it. Their minimum you have to meet is the lowest we found and more realistic than everywhere else. If you go anywhere else you're paying way too much and wasting your money! I would definitely recommend this venue to EVERYONE. I look forward to celebrating future occasions and parties here :) No matter if it's a small party you're throwing, or a large one, Burgundy Basin can handle it!

We had our ceremony and reception at the Burgundy Basin in July during the busy wedding season on a Saturday evening. I must say my husband and I are very happy with our decision to trust the Burgundy Basin with our wedding day! I was concerned that having other weddings going on at the same facility at the same time would detract from the quality we received, but that proved to be a needless worry. We chose one of the served dinner packages and everything came out on time, hot and delicious. I have a family of fussy eaters and all I heard were endless compliments about the food and the wedding cake and the other desserts served. The value you receive at this facility really is outstanding. I did a lot of research on other options, and no one else compared.

We planned our wedding in Rochester from Phoenix with absolutely no physical visits to the facility until a week before our wedding when we got into town. This means that everything was coordinated through email and telephone calls. I am still amazed at how well this arrangement worked out! I do wish that they had more information available on their website, but because of their fantastic responsiveness to questions it didn't end up being a problem. I think that the sheets that you have to fill out for your check in appointment a day or two before your wedding should be available online, but if you ask they will email them to you immediately. Actually, that's how a lot of things are with the Burgundy Basin. If you ask, they are more than happy to accommodate you with just about anything in a very timely fashion, but you do need to speak up and ask because a lot of things that they offer are not written down anywhere or listed on the website. This is true of decorations also. They have some very lovely cake and head table decorating packages, but you won't find that on their website. Ask Denise about it...she has pictures she can share with you if you're interested and she does a great job! If you want to incorporate your own items they are very happy to do so. For example, I asked Denise to use real rose petals that I provided from the florist rather than the silk ones she normal uses for the cake table decorating package and she did so happily. When touring the facility (the week of my wedding) I learned that another bride even provided her own arch and Denise was willing to work with it! During the winter months my husband and I decided to take dance lessons and Denise emailed us a layout of the dance floor in our room when we asked for it. So what I'm saying is if there's something you want or need, ask, they will help you!

One of my bridesmaids went to the tasting held in March for me since I was unable to make the trip to attend. While there she noted that she thought one of the bartenders provided superior service, so she got her name and the next day I called the Burgundy Basin and asked if that bartender could be assigned for my wedding. To my amazement they said yes, definitely. So that's the bartender we had on our wedding day...and boy did I hear endless compliments about her from my guests!

On the day of the wedding, our coordinator, Novaline was wonderful. I provided her with some check lists for the more unusual requests that I had and she made sure they all were fullfilled. She saw to it that we were well cared for on our wedding day and that everything went off exactly as we wished.

We planned our wedding from about 3000 miles away, and it went off exactly as we had hoped. That's amazing! They have a lot of experience with weddings and it definitely shows. They provide so much, way more than the website lets on. I probably did more phone calling and emailing than most brides that are local, but the constant communication was fantastic. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and ensured that I had all of my questions answered with every email and phone call that I placed to them and they allowed me to communicate clearly what I wanted from them. No question was ever treated as if it were silly-not even when I called about table numbering questions. If you stay in communication with them, you will be very happy, even if you never set foot in the facility until your check in day.

I had my reception at Burgundy Basin. All of the staff was extremely attentive and responsive to any needs we had. The night went smoothly and the guests were pleased.

The Burgundy Basin provided a beautiful and enjoyable venue for both my ceremony and reception. I was able to relax on my wedding day as they took care of everything and it all went according to plan. The staff is pleasant and helpful. I would recommend them to any future bride.

The people at Burgundy Basin helped make wedding planning easy. The day went by so smoothly because of their help. From the begining they helped walk us through the many choices available, from a served dinner to buffet, the outdoor ceremony, and the whole reception and what to do when. Many of our guests have said this is the most fun and relaxed wedding they have ever been too, they felt very taken care of.

What originally attracted us to Burgundy Basin was that so much is included. They have packages that include cocktail hour appetizers, served or buffet dinner, the wedding cake, and even a coffee and cookie tray at the end of the night. We also liked that our ceremony could be held right on site outside, with a contingency plan for weather. We really got what we paid for, compared to other places we looked at they had the best value for the dollar, and seemed very professional and could answer any questions we had.

The Burgundy definately gave us a fabulous wedding for the price that we paid. We got very nervous at the "Tasting" event they had for 2008 weddings as many of the dishes we wanted were not offered to try. With one phone call they were willing to have a personal tasting for what we wanted to serve. Both Mike and Carl were responsive and attentive. There were a few mis-communicaton glitches in the end, but it all worked out beautifully.

Great food, beautiful facility. Day of coordinator Cindy was rude and unprofessional. She was not flexible and wanted things done on her clock, in her order and not based on what the bride and groom had planned. Everyone else was wonderful.

I have officiated many ceremonies at the Burgundy Basin Banquet and Wedding Center. The staff is professional and skilled at making sure the event runs smoothly. They are prepared for anything- always with a smile. They offer several nice options for ceremonies-indoors and out. Decorations are tasteful and creative. I have also had the pleasure of staying for quite a few receptions. The food is always good...and the cakes are amazing!
