Robert Burnett provided photography for our March 27th wedding in the Prospect Park Picnic House. He has a journalistic style that focuses on natural, candid shots. The photos from our wedding are authentic and beautiful - he really managed to capture the spirit, joy, and even humor. I would recommend him highly.

Robert was extremely professional. All the services discussed were done properly and timely. Most of the photos are all unposed and natural which was exactly what we wanted. We were very happy with his services and wish we can have another occassion soon that we can have him as our photographer again!

Robert is an excellent photographer, he really captured the mood and the feeling of the event with a series of natural pictures, as well as the traditional posed ones.

About Robert Burnett Photography

Coming from a journalism background, I have a deep appreciation of solid, honest storytelling. In keeping, my goal when photographing a wedding is to provide my customers with a visual record of their wedding day in the most appealing but truthful way. Looking back in years to come, I want them to see not manufactured moments but legitmate, meaningful memories.

What primary photographic style do you identify with?

Contemporary, Photojournalism

What do your packages include?

Albums, Digital Files, Flush Mount, High Resolution Images, Prints

Do you have liability insurance?

Yes

Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?

I post-process all of my own pictures and try to keep them looking pretty faithful. But if you have a request, the sky's the limit.

Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?

I've shot in everything from extremely contrasty sun to flat, overcast light to low candlelight. (I don't recommend the first.)

Is your media preference film or digital?

I'm experienced with film, including medium format, and digital media. I prefer digital for the quicker turn around.

How many photographers do you work with?

It's just me.

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?

Yes. I don't want to miss your wedding!

Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?

No, my feet would never forgive me.

What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?

I bring two cameras, a range of lenses, and lighting equipment.

Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?

Yes.

Do you charge hourly or full day?

I offer both.

Do you charge for travel?

If the location is in the city and subway/bus accessible, I don't charge. If not, it depends on the location.

How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?

I offer online proofs within two weeks.

In what format are the initial proofs offered?

Proofs are delivered in an password-protected online gallery. You can send the link to friends and family, and they can view the pictures or buy prints if they like.

Do you retain the copyright for the photos?

Yes, but you can print 'til your heart's content, you just can't use or sell the prints for commercial work.

Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?

Yes. It's important that I'm able to promote my services and keep my business going.

Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?

Yes.

Will images be available for viewing online?

Yes.

What kind of albums do you offer?

I offer flush mount albums with either leather, metallic, or acrylic photo covers.

When will the client get the final album?

Approximately 10 weeks after the wedding.
