Butterfly Photography and Photo Booth Rentals

I hired Martin to provide the photobooth for my husband's surprise party. From start to finish, Martin's professionalism and customer service exceeded my expectations. Email responses were quick, they showed up on time and they were very friendly to my guests. I was pleasantly surprised when I received my DVD of images just a few days later. I really appreciated everything that they've done and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others. Btw, Martin is also a talented wedding photographer and you definitely should consider him for your wedding. Thank you for everything.

Martin was absolutely wonderful to deal with! Leading up to the wedding he answered all my emails promptly and helped me to decide when and where to do my pictures on the day of. I knew right away when I met him in person for a quick 'interview' that he was definitely the perfect person to work with on our day.

On the day of, Martin was efficient, and it never felt like he was intruding. In fact, without Martin's gentle steering I'm not sure everything would have happened on time. We left ourselves in his hands when it came to where our portraits should be taken and I am absolutely in awe of some of the photos we ended up getting. My husband who was against spending any money at all on photography said "Worth every penny" the moment he saw our album. In fact there are so many beautiful pictures I'm not sure how we'll ever narrow them down for our album.

As for the monetary end of things the value for his services in unreal. I was quoted some staggering prices by other vendors, so when I got a quote back from Martin I was worried at first. But after looking at his portfolio, knew we'd be in good hands. I have suggested Butterfly Photography to a few friends already and HIGHLY recommend him to anyone thinking of using them for any occassion. I will cherish the pictures that Martin took the rest of my life, and I'll be proud to show them to any future children we have. Thank you Martin!

I don't know where to start with this review! I found Butterfly Photography through google for our wedding in October 2012.  I was a bit hesitant since the pricing was so good and I felt it was "too good to be true". Once I saw their work on their Facebook page, I was amazed and contacted Martin right away with my fingers crossed that he was still available. This was one of the best decisions that I made. Due to my schedule, we never got to meet Martin before the wedding. We did keep in contact quite frequently (his response time is awesome). On our wedding day, we had a few events leading up to us being totally off schedule. Martin was extremely understanding and helpful throughout it all. We got our pictures 3 weeks later and they turned out amazing, including all the candids he took and we aren't even a photogenic couple!  Even my guests had so many nice things to say about him. He does his work so discreetly and isn't pushy like some photographers. 

It is Martin's personality that really makes him different from others. I've dealt with other photographers and I can honestly say that Martin is one of a kind. He is professional, yet so easy going and comfortable to be around, it is almost like he is just a friend taking pictures of us. I plan on using him for all of our special moments in life, his talent just truly captures the love perfectly. 

Don't second guess yourself, this is the photographer you want to hire! While you are at it, get the photo booth! It was a great value and the second best decision I made (next to booking Martin, of course!)

My husband and I booked Butterfly Photography for our wedding in Vancouver (Sept 1, 2012). We also did an engagement photo session with them.

Martin and Rosaline were absolutely amazing throughout the entire process. They were professional, uplifting and kind. The photographs they took look beautiful. When I was searching for a photographer, the title Butterfly Photography caught my attention. When I was looking through his website I was amaze at his work, I was hesitant to call him at first because I thought he was so expensive base on his quality of work. When I saw his pricing I was shocked and I crossed my finger that he would be available for our wedding date. When we first met Martin he was on time, cheerful, made us laugh, and made us very comfortable. When he told me he was going away for vacation I was praying that he'll come back safely because I was totally in love with his work. Eventhough he was away travelling he was so quick at getting back to us. I felt at ease knowing that I could trust him that he'll always be there for his client no matter where he is. I like that he works so hard to give your photos right away, we got our e-shoot and wedding photos within 3wks. We love his work so much that we decided to do 2 e-shoots!!! I love all of our photos and can't stop looking at them. Although the wedding is over, Martin still respond back to us very quickly. Why pay 5,000-10,000 dollars on a photographer when someone like Martin can do a better job! If you're looking for a photographer, make sure you hire him or else you'll regret it!!! Trust me =) If his booked up consider moving your dates! We would! My husband is so happy that I found him, and he said "Hiring him was the best decision that we made!"

We are very happy with how our wedding and engagement photos turned out. Martin was great to work with, not to mention very thourogh and professional. It was a pleasure to have him as our photographer. Also, his prices for wedding photo packages are much more affordable than other people out there.

I had Rosaline do our engagement and wedding photos and she was fantastic! She was completely professional. She definitely knew what she was doing and wasted no time at all between poses or locations.
Every time I sent an e-mail out to them, I had a response within a few hours. Plus, when I sent her a couple photos that I wanted to replicate, she took it upon herself to look on my Pinterest page to see the style I wanted.
Plus, these guys are way more affordable than most others out there, and just as good!

We had only Martin come in for our very small wedding and pre-wedding shoot.

From the begining he was friendly and accommodating, gave us an amazing deal to fit our needs and tiny budget, he was also flexible and very punctual in communication, arrival at sites and sending the photos too! Really appreciated that!

What can I say about Martin, his photography skills, his business sense, and his expertise: FABULOUS, FANTASTIC, FREAKIN' AMAZING (sorry, was trying to think of another "F" word!) My husband and I are absolutely thrilled with our wedding photos (Martin also did our engagement shots and they were great too). There are so many good things about Butterfly Photography. I was getting married Oct 29, 2012 and I found Butterfly photography through Facebook. Through comparison, Butterfly photography was the most responsive, the best deal, creative and accommodating.
Butterfly photography is very quick to respond. At the time, I contacted 3 or 4 photographers and Martin was the only photographer who responded back to me on the same day. Other photographers took a couple of days and 1 took over a week. I was able to talk to Martin on the phone and he was very pleasant and professional. Butterfly gave me the best price for my package. You don’t get married every day, so I wanted the world: full day photographer for our special day, wedding album, and photo booth and engagement photos. Once I received my quotes from all the other photographers, I realized some photographers charged me double for the same package. With Butterfly, I got so much more. Our wedding day was so jammed pack that my husband and I thought that day was a blur. Butterfly photography was able to capture each moment and every candid shot for us to remember. They were creative with their angles, poses and they knew secret places to take good shots. I’m pregnant now and Martin and Rosaline are so accommodating. Although, Butterfly photography does mainly engagement and wedding photos, Martin and Rosaline were accommodating to take our maternity photos. Butterfly photography is not only our photographers for our wedding; they are our photographers for every occasion. My husband and I not only found great photographers but also great friends. I highly recommend their services!

THE BEST photographers in vancouver, by far. Martin & Rosaline from Butterfly Photography were exactly what we were looking for in a photographer for our wedding. We needed something affordable, beautiful, and timeless, and the photo results that we got were amazing.

Rosaline did our wedding photos, and she did a great job! We unfortunately only had about an hour for wedding portraits, and I was worried about it, however she worked it! We had many beautiful shots from our entire day.

Another thing I was VERY impressed with was the amount of time you get your wedding photos back in after the wedding! Alot of my friends had to wait up to 3 months to get their photos back, but Butterfly Photography got them back to me in 3 weeks! They are able to provide amazing, high quality shots, and they were our dream photographers.

We will definately be using them again for other milestones! Babies, family shots, etc, we will be contacting Butterfly Photography first.

Martin and Rosaline definitely went the extra mile to make our wedding as memorable as possible. My wife experienced a serious back injury just before the wedding and Martin and Rosaline were incredibly responsive and were able to accommodate us in many creative ways.

Martin was extremely flexible, very personable and very easy to work with. We are planning on having some family photos done with Martin/ butterfly photography in the fall. I would definately recommend him to everyone. The wedding pictures were beautiful!!! The price, extremely affordable.

Great job! We wanted a lot of candid shots rather than posed pictures, and we were very happy with the result. Also, we used the photobooth - something all the guests enjoyed. The photobooth came with costumes (something I was skeptical about), but it turned out to be great - and you could tell that all the guests enjoyed putting on the masks, boas, and hats.

We also had our engagement photos done by Butterfly. They had been to the location prior to scout it out, so when it came time to do the shoot there was no wandering around - everything was planned out very efficiently.

I don't know what the 'responsiveness' category means, but we were able to do everything we wanted.

I decided to have a destination wedding from New Orleans, LA. I fell in love with Victoria BC and wanted the city to be the setting for our special day. I searched for photographers to capture the moment, and came across Butterfly Photography. I was very impressed with the sample photos and their style. I was worried that since they were based in Vancouver, I wouldn't be able to use them in Victoria. After conversing over e-mails, I found them to be extremely accommodating! They worked with us and gave us exactly what we wanted. Our photos were beautiful, and every moment that we wanted captured, was. They used the majesty of Victoria as the backdrop to create unique, timeless pictures that we will always treasure. They were very professional and also extremely personable. I would recommend this company to anyone wanting good, quality photography, and to anyone who is looking for someone who will work with you and provide you with exactly what you are looking for on your special day. Butterfly Photography did exactly that for us.

Martin and Rosaline are excellent photographers. They are also incredibly friendly, very helpful, great with people and have an excessive amount of patience.

We hired them for 7 hours on the day, passing up the opportunity to sit for an engagement session as we were without need of them, and spent about 2 to 3 hours of our day completely focused on taking photographs. I had provided them with a photo shoot list, prioritized into 3 levels, and they made sure they got every single shot I had asked for and then some. We initially had wanted to spend about an hour taking photos, just the bride and groom, but on the day we both decided while we were out getting photos after about 15 minutes that we had had enough and needed to just get back to our guests and some drinks. Rosaline and Martin were completely relaxed and easy going about changing plans and followed our lead entirely.

It took 2 weeks to get the online album, and we both were extremely happy with how the photos turned out. We have a good selection of photos to choose from to have printed, and we're very excited to send a few photos off to friends and family that they're sure to love as much as we do. The DVD of the remaining photos are in the mail, and I expect there to be about 4 times as many photos on the disk as are in the online album. All in all, the shots we've seen only reinforce our suspicions that the whole day was captured on film in a remarkably lovely way.

Before the day, Rosaline was incredibly informative and helpful during face to face meetings. The response time on emails was very good, as there never was more than a day or 2 between emails and replies. Rosaline made sure to bring albums of their previous work, and Martin and Rosaline spent some time talking with me before the wedding about styles and asking me to reference previous pictures of theirs for things that we were looking for on the day. They provided online links to their galleries as a reference as well, and were very good with dealing with me when I wasn't exactly sure about what kind of shots we would want. They took my preference of un-posed shots and went with it, creating some great moments and lovely pictures.

Everyone involved in the wedding - guests, family, other vendors - commented to me about how friendly and easy to work with Martin and Rosaline were. We could not have been happier with their services.

I had the pleasure of working with the very talented Martin and Rosaline of Butterfly Photography behind the scenes at a recent wedding I co-ordinated.
