We interviewed 3 bakeries and had 3 delicious cake tastings. We selected Cakes Amore based on their friendliness, flexibility and cake designs. We had a Bridal Cake made with Champagne flavored cake and raspberry filling and it was superb! We also had a grooms cake in the design of a Dalmore Scotch Bottle and it turned out so well! The groom was tickled! (The design was a surprise for him). Their price was reasonable and everythingwas handled very professionally.

Both cakes were very good. The grooms cake was covered with chocolate covered strawberries & a lot of my guest liked that cake. They delivered and set it up for us. For my cake topper it was to heavy so she right there in the spot added flowers to the top & put my cake top next to the cake. It turned out beautiful.

We had two cakes from Cakes Amore. The bride's cake was yellow with Bavarian Cream filling, and the best cake I've ever had in my life. The groom's cake was Mexican chocolate with strawberry filling, also divine, that looked like the Aggie Bonfire. They were very friendly and gave us a taste trial with extras to take home, plus they matched my wedding colors perfectly on the bride's cake. Fabulous service and taste!

Cakes Amore made 2 fantastic cakes for our reception. The bride's cake was a 4 layer vanilla with lemon curd and white chocolate filling. It was white with black piping and red roses. The groom's cake was mexican chocolate with a raspberry filling in the Texas Tech logo colors and shape. Both were absolutely the best cake we have ever had at a wedding reception!

We are going with this vendor for our cake. Our original baker went chapter 11, so we needed a reliable bakery that would definitely still be around for our wedding. They were very professional and their work speaks for itself when you walk in their store. The cake was amazing, and the lady who helped us really knew the details involved and helped us with decisions without trying to sell us more than we needed.

This is the BEST place to get a wedding cake. They have cute ones, elegant ones, pretty much anything you desire. I highly recommend this place.

The cakes looked and tasted so awesome. They were very calm in the cake testing because we are picky. Cake selection was great!

Do you make carved or 3-D shaped cakes? Yes, we are a custom bakery and make all types and styles of cakes including 3-D shaped cakes.If I have a picture or drawing, can you make a cake to duplicate the picture? Yes, as long as the picture shows the detail of the decorations we can recreate that cake.Can I select the color if any to go on my cake? Yes, if you furnish a piece of cloth in your color, we can custom blend the icing and/or fondant to match your color(s).Do you only do standard flavors like wedding white and chocolate? While we offer these two flavors we also have a large number of flavors for you to select from.Do your decorators have experience in designing and creating wedding cakes of different styles? Yes, our staff is experienced decorators and designers. Our decorators have over 60 years experience as well has having an executive pastry chef on staff.
