Cakes by JoAnne did an amazing job with our wedding cake! Not only did it turn out absolutely beautiful but it was incredibility delicious! All I keep hearing during our reception was how amazing the cake was, 2 months later I am still getting comments on how the cake was the best they ever had! Thanks JoAnne!!

The decorative portion was great, but there was not much taste to the butter cream itself. She was responsive and flexible, and worked with us on the combinations, but did not like the taste overall. I thought that the cost was high for what it was as well. We ended up going with another vendor.

People are still talking about our delicious cupcakes and cake! Everything from Cakes by JoAnn tasted amazing and looked beautiful, and was totally inexpensive as well. I wish it had been easier to work with JoAnn, though. Planning a wedding from outside of Maui it was difficult to deal with lack of responses to emails. Most of the time I could get JoAnn on the phone, but there was so much that needed to be done "on paper" that email was unavoidable. JoAnn doesn't require a contract, but we decided to draw one up ourselves--which she did sign. In the end, everything was great, but it was definitely a stressful process.

We loved our wedding cake. We thought it was beautiful and perfectly affordable. They made a special flavor just for us.

JoAnn took my cake seriously which was great. I wanted something non traditional and she hit the nail on the head when she suggested a cheesecake type spread for the ceremony location that was shaped like a wedding cake. It was incredible and all my guests were impressed with this great idea.

I loved the cake she made for us, and the ukulele grooms cake she made was amazing! It took a little long for her to contact us by e-mail but I think it's just because she's super busy. I would definitely use her again (but not for my wedding, of course, since you only get married once, right? ;-) )

This might be my favorite vendor. I am a vegan, so there are very few types of cake I can enjoy without dairy or any animal products. Though JoAnn had not done this before, she was the one vendor that my coordinator found who was willing to do this. The top tier of our cake was a vegan carrot cake that was so tasty, no one even believed it was vegan! The other 3 tiers of our cake were 'normal', and the whole thing was covered in vegan icing. This was so good that no one knew it was vegan. JoAnn also baked several sample vegan cakes and would bring them to my coordinator to make sure she perfected the recipe. Classy move.

JoAnn also went above & beyond by agreeing to recreate a family recipe for English fruit cake, which is traditionally handed out as favors at the end of the wedding. The fruit cake was a perfect replication of my recipe, and the pieces were all very generously sized.

Excellent cake!! We loved the cake we got and loved working with Joann. She was easy to work with, very flexible in meeting us at a location that worked for us. She brought mini cupcakes for us to taste the flavors we wanted to taste, which were all so delicious!! Our wedding cake was beautiful and exactly what we wanted. Plus for our 1 year anniversary she will make us a small cake in celebration.

JoAnn make a great wedding cake for us. Both tiers were different flavors that were tasty. It looked perfect and was a great way to end such an amazing meal. Cheers!
