My wedding was sept 23/11.. im writing a little late. I ordered.. and pre paid for my cake which was to be croqumbouche for our wedding. Thank GOD windermere informed me in private that cake walkers never delievered my cake.. that god for windermere they made me a much better one! But cakewalkers never delievery my cake.. I went there the next day as no one would return my calls that night because they were closed... cakewalkers had delievered my cake to the wrong venue in london.
THEN she asked if the driver could KEEP my croqumbouche... ummm no... i already paid for it, and i wanted pictures with it. I will NEVER go back and I would tell everyone to find somewhere else to get your cake.
Absolutely horrible shop. I went in to the store with a friend of mine just to look at the cakes and get an idea of what i wanted. The lady came out and after initially acting friendly started to be VERY rude to us after my friend asked something about the fondant on one of the cakes. I have never been so humiliated or disrespected in my entire adult life. The lady then left us alone to look at the cakes on display and returned after a moment saying she was too busy and unless we wanted something specific we should leave. We bought so chocolates, which she did not package, rather made us carry in our hands and were escorted to the door. She literally kicked us out of the store for looking at the display cakes and asking one question. The worst treatment i have ever had by any individual in the wedding industry. I will not give that business one more cent in the future.
Our wedding has a Tiffany and Co. colour scheme, so we thought it would be fun to have the cake made in three square tiers stacked asymmetrically, and decorated with the classic tiffany blue coloured icing, and a big white bow... just like the boxes from the store. They did a great job, looked lovely, and very importantly, tasted amazing!
The cake was beauitful - enough said
My husband ordered me a special vegan cake for my birthday. My son is severely allergic to dairy and eggs and I am breastfeeding and thus cannot have dairy or eggs. When he picked up the cake they told him the writing on it wasn't vegan so to just pick it off. He was thrown off, so just left with it and brought it home. The cake was decorated all on top and written on with white chocolate that wasn't dairy free! I called to explain to them that just picking it off isn't good enough because my son is allergic and they never should have put it on, or offered writing, if they knew it couldn't be vegan as well. The woman on the phone was rude and eventually told me she had to use the phone for something and hung up. I will NEVER give my money to that shop again, horrible service. Who makes an order for a vegan cake, with non-vegan writing and assumes its okay?
