Stay Away from Camarillo Bridal in Camarillo, CA!

Camarillo Bridal is a popular bridal boutique that often participates in the bridal shows at the Hyatt in Westlake Village. Stay away - their customer service is HORRIBLE! When I placed my dress order, the store was under different management than it is now. These are the problems we had:

1) They accused me of stealing a 1” square fabric sample and tried to charge me $25 for it.

I asked for a fabric sample when I placed my MoH’s dress order. One of the attendants pulled a sample out of a book and taped it to one of the store’s business cards for me. A week later, the manager of the store called and accused me of having stolen the fabric sample! They threatened to charge me $25 unless I drove back to the store and returned the fabric - immediately. When I told her that I had asked for a sample and that was what I had been given, she told me that her attendants “would never do that.” So she had accused me of lying too!

2) When my dress came in, I wasn’t given any assistance trying it on.

We were hurried out of the dressing room for taking too long, even though I had an appointment. One of the attendants moved our personal items (purses, etc) out of the dressing room and ushered in another bride to be. The rest of the time there, the attendants didn’t help AT ALL. I wasn’t offered any undergarments or veils and they didn’t offer any fitting services either (hemming or bustles). We were forced to pack up and leave!

3) We were overcharged.

I highly recommend Pebbles Bridal in Woodland Hills - they have the best prices. I was disappointed to find out that I’d overpaid for my dress, even though I had negotiated the price. I also found out that the following week, the Maggie Sottero dresses had gone on sale, and they refused to apply the sale to my dress. I was also told that if we ordered 3 items from the store, I would receive a discount on any one item – whether it be a dress, jewelry, shoes, etc. But they reneged on that deal - they said since I didn't have a bridal party of 6 or more, no discount.

Now, we all know the stories of Bridezillas and the panic that can ensue. I assure you I was a calm, nice person, and this store did nothing but treat me, my mom, and my MoH with rudeness and attitude! Save yourself a terrible headache and stay away from that store!

This is a true story of how they treated my daughter. (Yes, I am the mother of the Bride and every mother knows you don't mess with my kid)

1. I had to fly to Texas to take care of my sister and niece. My sister is in the army and came back from Iraq with some health problems and needed surgery. I couldn't be here to help my daughter with shopping for her Gown. she would call me and send my pitcures of what she tried and the problems she had at different Bridal stores. I was so upset about what was going on and there was nothing I could do but pray she would find a nice person to help her. My prayers where answered at Camarillo Bridal.

2. My daughter called me from Camarillo Bridal and was explaining that she finally found the right place. They treated my daughter like family and helped her get just what she wanted. They didn't have the exact dress she wanted so they had to order it. The owner knowing I was worried and not around so she talked to me on my daughter's cell and told me not to worry and they would take good care of her. SHE WASN'T LYING, THEY DID JUST THAT!

3. There was problems with the dress coming in and they kept my daughter informed and stayed on the company to make sure that dress came in. My daughter also wanted a special type of head piece and they went way out of there way trying to find it for her. (At a price she could afford)

The bottom line is the dress was beautiful and perfect! The price was excellant! There Costumer Service was FANTASTIC!

Truthfully, if you are looking for a wonderful experience getting your wedding gown or if you are helping your daughter. Take my word and go to Camarillo Bridal. YOU WONT BE DISAPOINTED!

A very happy mother of a BEAUTIFUL BRIDE

so heres the thing.. my wedding is coming up in about 2 1/2 weeks.. i just picked up my dress today and man is it beautiful...
the people were wonderful!!!!! Everyone there was great.. i ordered my dress late and they made sure it woul be here in time.. they stayed on it and were so helpful!!!!! I had been to so many dress shops and the people at camarillo bridal were the best. I must have tried on 100 dress and they were kind and wonderful... i mean it i would go back there over and over again and would tell everyone to go there.. really they were so nice and i could sit here all day and tell everyone how great they are... they helped me with everything!!!! they even tried to get me a bird cage veil that i had a hard time finding... they found one but it was to expensive.. they even gave me a military discount becuase my soon to be hubby is in the military.. they are the nicest people so if you want wonderful service and kind people go to camarillo bridal

I recently purchased my dress from Camarillo Bridal. They have been so easy to work with, and all of the women in the store are so fun and supportive when you're trying dresses on. Both times I went here, I had an attentive worker with me in the room helping me change from dress to dress. They were very friendly with my family and friends, and let me stay there for hours trying dresses on. I found their prices to be comparable to Pebbles (which is mentioned in another review). I would definitely recommend them if you are interested in the designers that they carry. They made this entire process easy and enjoyable!
