Mike went above and beyond to come up with the best family pictures we have ever taken. He met with us on a last minute notice, and had no problem taking care of us as he would any customer. He also got to the editing right away, and had some pictures on our facebook that day for our friends and family to see, which they loved too!! Definitely recommended. We signed up for another session already. Thanks Mike!

Mike,

Words can't even describe how amazing of a job you did for our wedding! Not only are the pictures flawless, unique, and memorable, but you were there from morning until night, to capture every moment. You were our photographer, clothing ironer, and flower preserver! You completely went out of your way, to make sure that our day was perfect, and for that we are forever thankful! You're extremely talented, and I look forward to working with you in the future!

Wow... Planning a wedding was hard enough. Then we met Mike at Candidly yours. My wife and i instantly knew he was going to be the photographer at our wedding.

Mike was very helpful in giving good direction with his extensive wedding knowledge.

But most of all he was professional, prompt, thorough, and flexible. We had family who weren't quite ambulatory but Mike went out of his way to ensure the most important in our lives got photographed with us.

Given the level that Mike is at he can be a great asset to anyone who is getting married. And his pictures are amazing!

Mike was unbelievable he truly " captured" every moment for us to relive our special day! The one thing I can say is that all of our groups commented on how friendly he was and truly did the best he could do.

We can't begin thank Mike enough for all that he did and for our amazing pictures that he took on our wedding day. Very professional, organized, and overall great guy! He kept our bridal party smiling and laughing throughout the day and captured our amazing moments all on film. Family and friends all loved him and continue to comment about how great he was and how personable he is. Our photobook that he made for us after the wedding with pictures of our choice was above and beyond my expectations! Absolutely beautiful and amazing!

After being scammed by our first photographer we found mike,when we met he was soo friendly, easy going guy even though our wedding was on his 30th birthday he still booked us! Our pictures are amazing and it was so great to enjoy our day without having to stop to take pictures. I do not think we could have found a better photographer!! We highly recommend him!!

About Candidly Yours Photography

I offer a real-look into your wedding day. Candid photography means that I simply blend in and capture the moments as they happen. I am not a “stop-and-look-at-me” type photographer. The benefit here is that you will remember having fun during all the special, uninterrupted moments. On top of that, you will receive a DVD with the copyright release to the images. This means you can make all the reprints that you want. You can also upload your photos to your own site, such as Facebook and email them to friends. This feature alone will save you about $500 in enlargement/reprint costs compared to other photographers. What primary photographic style do you identify with?

Contemporary, Photojournalism, Portraiture, Traditional / Posed

What do your packages include?

Albums, Digital Files, High Resolution Images, Proof CD of All Images

Do you have liability insurance?

Yes

Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?

I can do most of the editing tricks that you see today. Any special requests can be discussed.

Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?

low light, high ceilings, dark churches, ...most settings.

Is your media preference film or digital?

I shoot all digital. I keep at least 4 backup copies too of the original images as well as the edited ones.

How many photographers do you work with?

I have 3 different ones that have worked with me.

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?

Yes. 100%. As soon as the contract is signed I set aside that whole day for you and your partner.

Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?

No never the same day. I will do a Friday, Saturday and then a Sunday wedding though. This rarely happens

Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?

Yes. Unless I am dead sick I will be there though.

What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?

I use all Canon professional level cameras and accessories

Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?

Yes.

Do you charge hourly or full day?

I am there for you all day

Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?

I shoot all day

What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?

None. I eat when everyone else eats then right back to it. It is important for me to be served somewhat first so that I can get back to the "meet and greet" that happens after the bride and groom are done eating.

Do you charge for travel?

only after 50 miles, then its just for gasoline. Typically $25 for each 50 additional miles

How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?

the typical wedding takes 8 weeks. I take about 1,200 photos in an 8 hour wedding so the editing time is where I spend most of the time.

In what format are the initial proofs offered?

a DVD. The images all will be captioned CYP 1, CYP 2, and so on. The clients then write back that they want the images corresponding with the caption.

How long can the client keep the proofs?

forever. All images become their property- - - cheap reprints and enlargements!

Do you retain the copyright for the photos?

its shared. I can use the work for any marketing purposes but they can make all the reprints that they want. They can also email, post to social sites and so on without additional fees.

Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?

yes

Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?

yes

Will images be available for viewing online?

yes

What kind of albums do you offer?

a professionally published storybook. (like a yearbook would be) I have examples that we can look at if we meet

When will the client get the final album?

ASAP after the clients choose their prints.
