We spoke to six caterers before choosing Canna Lily Catering for our backyard wedding. Our wedding consisted of 210 guests, we provided passed hors d'oeuvre, an open bar, (Canna Lilly provided the bar and staff, we provided the beer and wine) and a massive buffet of delicious food. Canna Lily was not the least expensive and not the most expensive. They were however, the most proactive and reliable company we spoke to. It was obvious they had experience but also a great work ethic and a sense to get the job done perfectly. We had a tasting with the owners Koby and Cindy at there home and the food was amazing! We remained in contact with them for several months before the wedding. I would call Cindy for everything from what to rent, what to buy, if we should provide soda, how much liquor we needed per person, bathroom rentals.... I went to her for downright everything! She was always extremely helpful and happy to help! I met or spoke with Cindy or Koby almost every day the week before our wedding. I was convinced there was no way we could pull off such a grand event in our backyard... they consistently and politely told me not to worry, they would handle it. Boy were they right! The day of my wedding everything went perfectly. Their staff was amazing. My Husband and I are vegetarians, there staff consistently approached us with only veggie hors d'oeuvre's and checked on us often to see if we needed anything during the reception. Our guests raved about how delicious the food was and went back for seconds and thirds. Only once I saw Koby during my wedding, only for him to say hello and see if I needed anything, other than that... nothing... which I appreciated! I didn't want to spend my wedding day dealing with issues and answering questions! Koby and his staff created such a perfect environment I forgot I was in my backyard and not a first class restaurant! Their staff left my house nearly spotless Thank you Cana Lilly.

I hired Canna Lily to cater my wedding in Vegas and wow, what an amazing job they did! From the initial site visit to creating a suitable menu for my 150 diverse guests, they managed to give it a 10+. Cindy's competency in managing her events is stellar! Her staff were professional, friendly, neatly dressed and knew about the food. She found ways to keep within my medium range budget without sacrificing quality and service.I highly recommend their services for those looking for a great caterer!

We used Canna Lily Catering for our catering. I was really impressed with how well they performed, everyone was raving about the food and service. They were professional and extremely accommodating! I worked with Cindy throughout the planning stages and she was very flexible and always finding a way to help. On the big day we had Kobe running our party and he (and his crew) did an absolutely beautiful job! Not to mention our bartender, what a trooper. She was stuck behind the bar in the blazing sun for the first couple of hours and she took it all in stride. Thanks guys for making everything that much better!

My sincerest thanks go out to Cindy and the staff at Canna Lily Catering for everything they did to make my daughter's wedding perfect. Cindy was amazing to work with. We met several times prior to the event and she was always helpful and willing to share with us her vision and extensive knowledge. I had never planned a wedding before, and her ideas and advice were much appreciated... she offered her thoughts on everything from table decorations to drinks. She arranged for the rentals through Current Events, whose staff was also friendly, professional and a pleasure to work with.
The one thing that really stands out in my mind was that just before the wedding, Cindy asked about the unused flowers in the garage - I let her know that she was welcome to take them. In no time, she had completely transformed the buffet and cake tables. They were just beautiful. In my opinion, decorating the tables was above and beyond what she needed to do, but that was just another example of her professionalism and desire to make everything as beautiful as it could be.
The transition from wedding to reception was quick and seamless and the staff was always friendly and helpful. The food at the wedding was outstanding... just delicious. I have received numerous compliments and a great deal of positive feedback about the food, the ambiance and the staff. Before leaving the house, they thoroughly cleaned the counters and floors. Except for the awesome memories and the food that had been neatly packed up for us, it was as if they had never been there.
I have already recommended Canna Lily Catering and would encourage anyone looking for a caterer to consider them for their event.

Cindy and Koby were great. They delivered big time. The food was fantastic. We got nothing but positive comment from our guess about the food. The hors doeuver were so good, at least that what I was told, wedding pics took too long. However, we knew the food would taste good from the tasting. The servers were very nice and professional and made each guest feel special. We can't thank Cindy ang koby for making our reception go so smoothly, what a relief not to have to worry about the food service. Two thumbs up.

When I had a question Cindy would get right back to me (I don't think she
takes any days off) the service was wonderful and the food great.
They helped to make my daughters wedding and wonderful success. I can not
say thanks enough.
I would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat.

In my opinion, Cindy was the worst carter I have ever dealt with. Make sure to write everything she promises to do down. She will try to say that she didn't agree to things after she had said no problem. They had shown up late and were not concerned that the table were not set up. The first serving of food came out late and not what we had agreed upon. The staff they used was wonderful and as I would have liked to only tip them, Cindy's husband, Koby instited that I put all the tips together. And to top it all off she never showed up to the event. Finally at the end of the night we come to find out that they left their trash all over my father's white tile floor. After confronting them on all of our issues Koby, sent back nasty and rude emails. Great first impression but they both are extremely unprofessional!

Now here's the backside of the story! We catered their wedding successfully, got rave reviews from them and their guests and also a tip handed to Koby the event manager, upon departure. We signed off with them on what we packed up and the condition of the area in which we worked. Now we see this review on what we thought was settled and long forgotten! It all started with a supposed wedding cake!!
Caitlin and I met and we went over suggested menu ideas and some general food, rentals, staffing and possible cake costs. I was send a photo of the cake, got a price from the baker and sent it to the bride. She approved.
Somewhere midway through the planning the couple thought that their cake was going to be "included" in there per person price. At our tasting appointment, they told me they wanted to hold off on "that" cake as they have another idea in mind and would take it up with the baker directly.
They went in for a tasting appointment with my baker and the baker told them that she'd need to work up a new quote and get it off to them (me). When I told them the price, there was some sort of disconnect that they thought it was included in the previous per person dinner price. I told them that there "was" reference made to a cake, but not an actual line item price for their cake, as it wasn't yet determined. Then, out of the blue, I get a phone call and email from the groom "taking over" from here. I wrote the groom a lengthy email explaining that a wedding cake is never included in the per person dinner estimate, as I wouldn't know what they would have wanted without getting a price. He seemed not be willing to understand this, even though we spoke about it over the phone at great length. Where can one go these days and get a cake included, without knowing what somebody wants, number of guests, flavors, etc without any reference to any design, price, etc. being made?
My mistake one may be asking, including myself? I should have backed up from that point, returned their deposit and agreed to disagree and move on.
As a caterer, we don't sell packages- we sell products with line items charges for what the client is requesting; ex: hors d'oeuvres price and quantity, cakes, other dessert items, labor and rental order to name a few. There are no two clients that have the same food or party supply needs that I would be able to "include" courses, especially not an intricate wedding cake.
In response to the other complaints- ALL FALSE! The groom had us hold up the passing of the hors d'oeuvres due to two guests not yet at the party. Event though we told him we could get started and they would come and join in. The hors d'oeuvres course was for an hour, so get real here!
I also feel that they were disgruntled cause after the event, the groom wrote us a rude email requesting a refund for their "no show" guests. They contracted for 50 guests and ended up with just under 30. That is not our fault and you cannot guarantee a caterer 50-60 guests for a Friday night booking and expect a refund for 20. It doesn't work that way. Pricing is also different for 50 guests, vs. 30 or under.
In my opinion, that's what preempted this review, the cake misunderstanding and the lower that expected guest count.

Extremely professional and amazing food! Cindy helps you create the menu you have been dreaming of. And if your menu is not meeting your budget, she offers less expensive alternatives that still have the wow factor. My guests are still talking about her cooking!

Well, from what we tasted everything was fabulous! LOL. One of those wedding day bummers, you don't acutally get to eat the food for which you paid. I think I had a crostini, and it was great!
More importantly here, our guests really enjoyed the food. We got numerous compliments from them; did I mention one was a professional chef who had a spread in Delta SkyMiles Magazine in August? I wish I could make these things up; I'm not that good of a liar. LOL.
Bottom line: So would I recommend them to a bride in Vegas? Well, heck yes I would!
