Cap Capello, Musical Host

We had Cap for our wedding. We found him to be very helpful, professional as well as knowledgeable. He was always quick to respond to our questions and concerns. He made our special day that much more special for us and our guests!

Our primary concern was that we wanted a Master of Ceremonies, not just a DJ, and Cap fit that role perfectly. A wedding is so overwhelming, you really need someone at the helm who can completely take over and keep everything running smoothly. That's exactly what Cap offered and what he delivered. Moreover, he made it a lot of fun, was responsive to all our specifications, and showed everyone a good time. One bit of advice: trust his judgment on music - he knows how to keep the dance floor full and happy.

My wife and I hired Cap, on very short notice, to DJ our wedding. We had very a specific taste in the genre of music played during the event. After sitting down with Cap and discussing our vision, we felt completely confident in his musical expertise and professionalism. The wedding was a blast! Cap totally delivered the type of experience we had hoped to achieve. He captured our style and kept our guests engaged throughout the night. Cap was a true professional and exceeded our expectations.

Cap was amazing! He played the music we wanted to here and was able to look into the crowd to determine the type of music they would like to hear as well. I would recommend him to everyone!!

My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Cap Capello for our wedding this August. Cap was exceptionally professional, courteous, and thorough in his preparations, and beyond that was a lot of fun to work with. On the day of the event, he did an excellent job keeping people dancing, keeping the event moving, and allowing us all to have a ton of fun! We only had two small complaints: One is that the background music during dinner was a little too "elevator music" - some nice jazz or classical might have been a bit more our style. And the other is that he missed one of the songs on our "must-play" list, but we had so much other good music that we didn't realize it until a day or two after the wedding. But, I would still absolutely recommend Cap - he is a class act and a consummate professional.

Over the last 25 years, Cap has hosted several of our family events. He, like his services, have been nothing short of fabulous! Ask and you shall receive ... He is professional, accommodating, responsive, timely, knowledgable, a stress reliever and, best of all, fun. He makes all guests feel welcome and gets everyone to participate and dance like no one else is watching! Our wedding day was wonderful and it was Cap who played a huge part in making sure it turned out that way.

Cap was a great help to us from the first day we made contact with him, I knew planning the wedding that he was the ONLY DJ that I wanted. We loved the enthusiasm and professionalism that Cap showed in everything he did for us. He would check in by email or a phone call to see how we were doing and if we needed help with anything for the planning of the wedding. The day of our wedding he made everyone feel at ease, he added a lot of personal touches for the two of us and our families and had the guests on the dance floor all night. All I kept hearing all night was "How did you get CAP CAPELLO?!?!" Everyone was so impressed with him and his ability as a DJ and Wedding Host. I would highly recommend Cap to anyone looking for a DJ for any event, there is no other DJ who can surpass him in skill, dedication and personality.

Cap did our wedding in June I can't say enough good things about him! He did an amazing job, playing music for all audiences. The dance floor was full the entire time! He offered his expertise in not just the dj aspect but about the entire wedding as a whole. He has a wonderful personality and would not have wanted anyone else up there!!

I can't say enough about how wonderful and fun he made our wedding reception! We have received so many compliments about the music and entertainment that he provided. He takes care of everything and anything for you, often things that you wouldn't even think of. He played a great selection and variety of music and kept people on the dance floor. I was adamant that I did not want our wedding reception to be a club scene with wild dance music and he did it just right! He is very well experienced in the business and we highly recommend him!

Cap was amazing!!! He was wonderful to work with right from the beginning when my fiance and I were searching for a professional DJ. He spent a good 30 minutes talking with me prior to booking him to answer all of my questions and to make sure he was the right fit for our special day. Needless to say, our reception rocked the house!! Cap Capello had our guests on their feet and dancing from the moment the night began, and because our guests were having so much fun we decided to have him stay an additional hour! Cap's music selection was perfect for all of our guests, ranging from slow to fast, old favorites and even some new ones! He surprised my husband and I at the end with a special touch to remember our first dance by! Cap is wonderful and professional and I would highly recommend him for any wedding!

I would have given him a higher ranking if I could but it will only allow me to give him 5 stars!!! He was amazing, his voice is wonderful (I was told he has the best announcers voice around)!!! The party never stopped, he was also very flexible to stay an additional hour because we were having the time of our lives!! Quite honestly this is the easiest review I've ever written. If you want the best musical host in the business, you hire Cap Capello. Simple as that. Trust me when I say, you'll be glad you did! As the sales manager and event planner at The Vista at Van Patten Golf Club where my daughter's wedding took place, it was extremely important to me to have someone I could rely on to take charge of the evening so that I could be a guest for the evening and not feel as though I had to work. Cap made sure that happened. We could not have been happier with his services, attention to detail, professionalism, and most importantly, his heartfelt desire to go out of his way to make our night SPECTACULAR!!!

Cap was wonderful! Everyone we have talked to said it was the BEST wedding they had ever been to, and I can firmly say that was due to the work of Cap. Cap was, by far, the best DJ we have ever seen. The dance floor was jam packed, and very few people were sitting at all during the night.

Cap really made our wedding day special. It was as though he had known our families forever! His comic relief was an extra special touch that our guests really enjoyed. He really understood the music selections that we were looking for and played songs that our guests and our bridal party enjoyed. I sought Cap out after seeing him at another wedding....it made our musical host decison quite easy after we had seen how great he really was. A wedding reception is about flow. Cap Capello knows this very very well as he has been doing weddings for 30+ years. From wedding party announcements to final dance, Cap keeps the party moving. He has excellent presence and a signature voice. He brings unique alternatives to the traditional wedding reception. My wife and I and especially the guests loved the Compatibility Quiz (Ask Cap About It) and the Longest Married Couple alternative to the Bouquet Toss. I couldn't count the number of guests who came up to me after the wedding reception and told me that they loved the uniqueness of the Cap's approach. Cap Capello is a professional. He takes immense pride in his work. As I said in the beginning, it's about the flow and Cap keeps the party a-flowing.

CAP was beyond excellent throughout our entire wedding process - he exceeded our expectations as well as the expectations of our guests!! Not only was he easy to work with up to the wedding, but at the reception itself he was awesome! He kept everyone on the dance floor all night long!! In fact, we ended up extending the reception since so many people were still on the floor dancing at the end of the night. Cap did and excellent job at communicating with my husband and I about exactly what we were looking for on our wedding day. He not only had everyone dancing the entire night but was well organized and left me with not a thing to worry about. I would recommend him to any bride that does not plan on handing him a long list of songs to play at the reception...he can read people a lot better than a playlist can.

Cap was a great DJ. He kept the crowd on the dance floor and having fun. He was fantastic at dealing with last minute changes- we forgot to come up with an order for the tables to get food, and he gave a trivia quiz instead! Everyone said it was one of their favorite parts! The music was great- he played more music for the older generations early in the night, and younger music later, a great combination. Guests who have been to a great number of weddings said he was one of the best they've seen!

Cap is more than just a DJ. He is a compassionate, kind and generous individual.
I have had the pleasure of Cap's services for more than 15 years. He has volunteered at more events than I can name. Cap has a special way about him when dealing with folks with disabilities. He is incredible in knowing what types of music to play to bring out the best in everyone in attendance. He is a great guy.

Cap was fantastic!...and I love his voice! He was professional, honest and knowledgable. He returned e-mails/phone calls quickly, provided the most updated technology and followed through on what he promised to provide us. We were extreamly impressed by Cap Capello and the excellent service he provided. Without a doubt, it was the only service we didn't have to worry about. He was there when we had any questions and always provided positive and quick feedback either by phone or email. We would refer Cap Capello to anyone in need of a dj and would only call him for any future events we host.

Cap was amazing!!! We had multiple comments on what an amazing time everyone had dancing!!! He kept the ball rolling and would let us know when we were needed. I would recommend him to anyone!!

Cap was AMAZING! The entertain is the biggest part of your wedding, it can make or break your day! Cap was extremely helpful in any area we needed him for! As far as music choices, he was right on the money! Extremely in tune with what his customer wants and likes! He also found a way to accomidate my request of displaying my initials in the dance floor/ ballroom wall.....it really was the "WOW" factor!!

Cap was great and we would tell others we know about him. With that being said I do not feel that he works well with wedding planners (well at least mine anyway). My wedding planner was a God sent to me because my husband and I run our own business and we were finding it too much work to plan every step of our wedding and run a very busy business.

Cap was great! Everyone always told me to worry about the DJ because it can make or break your wedding and Cap definitely MADE the wedding. He was fabulous, totally professional and totally talented in what he does. He came unbelievably prepared and he had everything down to a science. He brought lights and a flat screen tv where he played every single video along with the song that was playing, a really nice touch that people still talk about. He got to know us through questions that he asked us beforehand and so he made the night personal without being overwhelming. It was awesome!!

The quality was outstanding. He did everything we wanted. I never had to stop to see him about anything. He knew what I wanted and just kept the ball rolling. Every guest we had raved about him and what a wonderful time they had.

Cap Capello is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to planning your wedding. He is great at what he does and enjoys doing it. We had several wedding guests ask about Cap's services after our reception. He provided music and DJ services for our ceremony and reception and we were 100% pleased with his work. He did and awesome job getting to know us, our wedding party and our guests in order to provide us with the best possible service.

What we liked: Cap has an excellent voice for dj-ing services. His equipment was of excellent quality. During the middle of ceremony he had us a play a game to see how well we knew each other. It was great. The guests enjoyed it, as well as my husband and I, it was very entertaining.

Dislikes: Cap is very much in control, which at times was intimidating. It took my husband and I awhile to choose the song we would be introduced by at the reception. My husband downloaded the music and sent it to Cap, but the day of our reception Cap forgot and used another intro song, which we did not enjoy. Because we went to the lengths of sending him the music we were not pleased that it was not played, but he did apologize. He did not want us to use music with lyrics for introductions to the reception, and as a result we did not use a song we really wanted for the bridal party. My husband and I also had about 10 songs we wanted played at the reception. All of these songs were played at the beginning of the reception when we were still going to tables to thank people for coming and as a result we were unable to dance to a lot of our favorite songs, which was very disappointing. We did re-request a few, but that was only lost time.

Cap was AMAZING! Hands down our wedding was as fantastic as it was because he was a part of it. Not only is he an amazing DJ (He kept the party going all night long...we were dancing before dinner.) But he also was super accessable. I asked him tons of questions via email regarding other vendors, ettiqutte, ect and he always got back to me right away, sometimes within minutes. He recommended a string quartet for us, who were also great, easy to work with and just wonderful. He is super honest, helpful, and friendly. He kept the crowd happy, but didn't play the typical songs you hear at every single wedding. I think this was the best decision we made about any vendor. BOOK HIM! HE WAS AMAZING!

My best friend had Cap Capello DJ at her wedding and ten years later when I got married I still remembered him, that's how good he is. Since then he has DJ'd at my wedding and at my mother's 80th birthday party. I can't say enough for Cap. You tell him what you want and he does his absolute best to get it for you. My mother had a certain song that she wanted for her birthday party. The song was out of print and couldn't even be found on the internet, but Cap found it. He had it shipped from California and my mom was thrilled. Beyond that he is easy and fun to work with, professional and just a wonderful DJ.
