The Capriccio Group is Fantastic! High quality performance and professionalism at an amazing rate. They came all the way out from Calgary to peform for my wedding ceremony an hour out of the city. They are a wonderful group of professional musicians and they play beautifully! They played exactly the pieces that I wanted and I am so thankful that they played at our wedding! Thank you Capriccio!

About Capriccio Group

We're a southern Alberta-based string duo (violin & cello or violin & guitar).

We easily expand up to a trio or quartet, and can play classical music, pop tunes, even jazz.

All our musicians are highly trained and have extensive experience playing weddings and other functions.

We pride ourselves in being punctual, professional, and well-rehearsed.

What ceremony music arrangements can you provide?

Instrumental - Duo, Instrumental - Solo, Instrumental - Trio, String - Quartet, String - Trio

What instruments does your group play?

Cello, Guitar, Viola, Violin

What is your usual attire?

Black, semi-formal.

Do you offer live sample performances or CDs?

No; however we do have sound clips of our live playing available on our website.

How much time do you usually need for setup?

About 15 minutes.

How much space do you usually require?

At least 10 square feet; more for a trio or quartet.

Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?

We are happy to play outside of Calgary city limits. We charge $50 per hour of driving time based on Google maps distances (rounded to the nearest 15 minutes.)

Additional Advice

Do you play outdoors?

Our instruments require moderate temperatures (between 15-30 degrees Celsius) and must be protected from direct sunlight and moisture (rain, snow, or fog). If there is no shelter at the site, we will happily provide a pop-up tent for an additional fee to cover the rental cost.
