I'm writing this early, our wedding is still coming up, but we already had our engagement photo session with Cara and it was simply amazing!! She was so relaxed and made everything fun. She had great ideas and was so helpful even with picking out outfits and locations. She even helped with my dog when we were taking pictures. The turnaround was amazing too. We took our pictures on Sunday and by Thursday of the same week she gave us amazing proofs. I can't wait for our wedding photographs and will write again in a few months!

We were recommended Cara through friends that recently had her photograph their wedding. She did an excellent job at our wedding, but is terrible with following up with our pictures.

In her contract she claims she will send out the CD and photo album with in 6 to 8 weeks after the even. It took her 16 weeks to send out the photo album, which does not contain all the picture, and we are still waiting to receive all the pictures on CD. It is now going on 20 weeks and she is terrible about responding to emails.

I would not recommend her service. It is unfortunate because she has a gift to take great pictures. She needs to improve upon her professionalism

Cara Zimmerman was the perfect photographer. From the engagment photos to the day of the wedding, she's been nothing but professional. We got a long great and she made my husband and I as well as all of our family and friends comfortable. We heard nothing but compliments from our guests after the wedding. Everyone said how she was everywhere around the grounds taking pictures. She had a unique style and we are excited to see the results. We have and will continue to recommend Cara to our friends and family.

Cara'z Images was wonderful! Cara took our engagement and wedding photos. She had great ideas for outdoor places to take our photos for our engagement shoot and our wedding party photos! And she was completely flexible with dates and times. She went above and beyond on our wedding day too! I think she even helped the bridesmaids tie ribbons around their waists! She was so wonderful to have with us all day on our wedding day. And everyone loves our photos! They are a great quality and it was so great that she captured all of the details and such a wide variety. I got to see things in the photos that I had missed on our wedding day! And the photo album she prepared was amazing!!!! Better than I ever expected! And, I have to say it again, everyone just loves our wedding photos. Thanks to her, my husband and I looked great in every shot!

Cara was a pleasure to work with. She was easy going with any suggestions I had. She made sure to check with me to make sure she got all the pictures I wanted of my special day. I would highly recommend her.

We had an amazing experience with Cara for our engagment pictures. We were a little nervous about a photo session with just us but Cara helped us through the entire process and made everything feel really natural. I received so many compliments on the pictures and I am looking forward to the next time I can book Cara!

What primary photographic style do you identify with?

What do your packages include?

Do you have liability insurance?

Yes

Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?

Black and whites, paper toner, duplex, colorization....

Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?

Lighting of all kinds is never a problem.

Is your media preference film or digital?

I shoot Digital.

How many photographers do you work with?

I work with a group of photographers so incase one of us is sick we can cover for eachother or can be hired as a second shooter.

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?

I will be the main shooter at every event unless specified.

Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?

I only book myself one wedding a day, two in one weekend. As for other shoots, I can book up to 4 a day usually only lasting an hour or so.

Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?

I work with a group of photographers in the area who have my same style in the event I am unavailable.

What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?

I bring two digital cameras, around 6 lenses, two flashes and back up batteries.

Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?

Yes, everything I have for the event I have at lease two of.

Do you charge hourly or full day?

I charge $200 an hour for weddings but also have an Unlimited coverage package for $3000

Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?

If you end up wanting a me to stay longer on the day of your wedding there is no problem, I charge $200 per hour.

What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?

During a wedding day I mostly don't take breaks, I do require a mean in the dinning room during the event so that I don't miss anything such asspeeches etc. I eat in between shots.

Do you charge for travel?

I charge a travel fee of 42 cents a mile outside a 60 mile radius.

How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?

6 to 8 weeks, but normaly I get them done around 6.

In what format are the initial proofs offered?

There really aren't "initial proofs", you get all the rights so you can print as you see fit.

How long can the client keep the proofs?

N/A, you have all rights.

Do you retain the copyright for the photos?

I am allowed to use any images for advertising purpose but the bride and groom have rights to re-print their images.

Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
