The Cardinal Room was utilized for my wedding reception. Everything went very well from the beginning! Gary was AMAZING! HE was very helpful as we went through the process of making decisions leading up to our big day. The room is very spacious and was able to accommodate our guest of 350 people. We utilized the Cardinal Room mainly for the space and brought in other vendors for catering, lighting, decor and etc. We are glad that we used the Cardinal Room for our Special Day!

I coordinated a wedding this past Saturday and everything turned out to be wonderful. Their coordinator Gary Murray was amazing! Very responsive and super helpful. He walked us through every detail step by step and had a smile on his face every step of the way.
The Cardinal Room is a very nice venue. The outside doesn't look like much but it is amazing what some lights and some decorations can do. We were able to turn a blank canvas into a winter wonderland! Another good thing about the Cardinal Room is you can bring in your own vendors, anywhere from DJ to caterer.
Overall we were pleased with our experience and I would definitely host another event there.

From the moment we contacted Cardinal Room, we realized that we were working with a professional company. Gary, the Director of Hospitality, was always available to answer even the simplest of questions - from the size/length of tables to last minute additions due to a guest count increase! Our wedding reception turned out to be the event of the year! Besides providing the event location, Gary provided beautiful draping throughout the space making the reception to be more elegant. We have received nothing, but excellent reviews from our family, friends and vendors. We would definitely recommend any bride/groom or coordinator to utilize Cardinal Room for their event!

I am writing to let everyone know what a fantastic experience my husband and I had at Cardinal Room. The venue is a bit unassuming from the outside at first glance, but there is a very nice outdoor area for photos and we added the external colored lighting which added a ton of drama and excitement as our guests arrived. I highly recommend you also add the interior lighting; it added a completely modern feel that made us forget we were in such a rural setting. We had both ceremony and reception in the same room with the ceremony taking place with guests at the dinner tables, while hubby and I were front and center on the elevated stage! We brought in our own caterer, and we certainly had some bumps because of our caterer’s inability to adequately serve such a large number of guests (300). Fortunately the Cardinal Room staff went above and beyond to assist them with keeping up. I can’t thank their team enough for making our day so special!

The transformation of the room was just incredible. The staff went over the top for us! The food was excellent, our guest were so happy with everything. There was so much room for 220 guest to get around and dance, we loved all the space. Thanks to Jim, Mary, Paula, and staff. You made our day so wonderful.

My daughter's wedding reception was at Boswell Hall this weekend. Staff were extremely responsive and courteous in the months leading up to the reception. Overall the Hall itself looked beautiful, as we had rented chair covers and sashes and the lighting was perfect. Bathrooms were OK, but the carpets, walls, and other areas in the building need a little refurbishing. Windows at the front of the building also need to be washed and the place generally spruced up a bit. Our church needed to change the time of the wedding which impacted the time for the reception. Boswell assured us access an hour earlier than planned without a problem.
The planning went well, but there were serious snafus on the wedding day. None of the 267 place cards were on the tables but rather still boxed on the table in the foyer of the building when we arrived. I think that is because the representative with whom we had the final planning meeting on the day before did not understand the difference between place cards (which were to be on tables at individual places), and escort cards (which were to be placed alphabetically on the entry table in the foyer). Many of the favors (more than half) were not on the tables with no explanation as to where they were. The Hall's policy does not allow anyone in the Hall during set up (not even the wedding coordinator). I hope they re-consider this at some point in the future to guarantee that things go as planned. Worst of all, while we were assured that the Hall would be available for our guests by 4PM, at 4 o'clock nearly 200 people stood in the sweltering heat for half an hour before the front door was unlocked. I and one of my friends then had to act as door stoppers to hold the doors open so people could get in. The DJ was included in the group who were locked out. Consequently when the guests were able to get in and finally get assigned to a table, there was no music until he could set up his equipment and do sound checks before getting started.
At the end of the day, our guests had a good time. The food was good and ample. The gentleman assigned by the Hall as MC for the evening made himself available and checked in with me a couple of times to see if we needed anything. But the start of the evening was disappointing and ---- while the price was good and included table linens, food, and alcohol ----- I'm not sure Boswell Hall isn't a case of "you get what pay for".

Boswell Hall is an AMAZING value for the space and services. It's simple elegance and they provide so much. We really enjoyed working with Boswell Hall. The men running it are a little disorganized, but very kind and flexible.

Boswell Hall was a great place to have my wedding reception. Mrs. Mary and Mr. Nelson went above and beyond. I married on 4/9/11 I called them almost everyday for about 7 months and they treated me and my husband so great. The set up was amazing and if I had to do it over I sure would have picked them all over again. The only issue I had was with the food, it wasn't the greatest but aside from that I LOVED IT and I would recommend it

I LOVED working with the Boswell Hall! They were so flexible and their service was great! They were so accomodating with my needs and happily gave me cost saving solutions. What venue does that? In a heart beat, I would HIGHLY recommend this venue. My guest loved the open floor plan and how wonderfully lit everything was. It's so reassuring to not have to worry about a thing on your wedding day, and that's exactly what Boswell Hall did for me and my guest. Thanks Buck and crew!!!!

Boswell Hall is beautiful and by far the best bargain in the area. Just about everything was included. The owners are a bit older so we had some difficulty with communicating online, but the reception went off without a hitch and we were overall very pleased!

GREAT GREAT GREAT Service and food overall. Buck and Mary are so patient and sweet. The room looked great the way they set it up. I will be using them again soon for when I plan my best friend's wedding. And the expense was a great deal considering all that is included. Excellent Choice.!!!

I loved the interior of the hall but the detail such as the cob webs that were building up were not so great. Arranging the wedding was perfect as smooth as can be but the wedding day had its bumps. The hall was not set up as expected. The food was not ready at the given dinner hour. The guests were not invited to recieve the food nor the cake. The team did not have plates at the cake table and we had to wait for a plates! During the rehersal the staff was very rude and were talking loudly while my pastor was talking.

Boswell Hall was in a good location. It had enough room for my ceremony and reception. I was looking a banquet hall that offer everything I was looking for. I did not want to pay room rental. When I found this place and looked at the prices. I was sold. The room rental was free. The price the food per person was very affordable, and the open bar was included in the price. The linen any color was also included in the price. Let me tell you this I did not spend over $60 per person for the food. I would use them again.

Boswell Hall was the perfect place for our reception. Everything was included.... The food was delicious and big portions! Open bar is included in the price you pay per plate, so people can drink to their heart's content and none at all and you pay the same price. The staff was extremely helpful and did everything they could to make sure we were happy. The hall is beautiful and large with a big dance floor in the middle. The crystal chandaliers and tall ceilings make you feel like you are in a ballroom. I definitely recommend it!

I loved this venue. It was one of those places that are a diamond in the rough. On the outside you see a tin can but when you walked in you are just amazed. And the food was excellent...I am still receiving compliments today about the service, the food, and the size of the venue. The hall holds approximately 350 people seated and my wedding was 200 people...so we had plenty of space to move around in....The manager worked with me from day one...we changed our wedding date twice and we had to make payment arrangements...He was really helpful and everything turned out wonderful...

Boswell Hall was fantastic! We just left a box of favors and some additional items with set-up directions and they did it all for us. It was simple, reasonable, and worry-free.
