Caridad was amazing!!! I booked her for my destination wedding. She was very professional, accommodating and friendly. She made me feel very comfortable and helped me to relax during a "somewhat" stressful time. Her assistant was also very nice and professional.

I did a trial run, welcome dinner makeup, and wedding makeup. I loved my makeup for each event. It was perfect and exactly what I wanted.

I hate when makeup looks caked on and too heavy...my face makeup looked flawless and held up with the heat and my nervousness (i tend to sweat). I wanted a smokey eye and she nailed it. It looked great in person and awesome in pictures, which is super important.

Caridad is simply the best. I chose Caridad because of her great reviews, and she came highly recommended by my wedding planner. Even though I had high hopes, she definitely exceeded my expectations! We did a hair and makeup trial a few days before the wedding, and I absolutely loved everything that she did. We talked about my style and I showed her a photo of a hairstyle that she liked, and she said "I totally get it!" and she rocked it! She is so relaxed, professional, friendly, sweet, and of course does an amazing job! On the wedding day she brought her assistant and did a fantastic job on my hair and makeup (she even tweaked the hair style a bit and I loved it even more!), as well as my maid and matron of honor's hair. Caridad was great! This was one of the things I worried about the most with planning my destination wedding: what if my makeup doesn't look like what I imagined, what if my hair looks bad... etc. I met with Caridad only a few days before my wedding after arriving in Puerto Rico for the wedding. We did the hair and makeup trial on a Thursday and the wedding was on a Saturday. She quickly put my mind at ease and was a complete professional. I have pretty short, barely shoulder length hair and I was nervous about trying to create an up-do with volume to complete the look I wanted. Caridad managed to work magic! At the end of the trial I was absolutely in LOVE with the look she created - it was even better than what I had envisioned! I gave her a few photos with examples of what I was thinking and she ran with it! The makeup was amazing and the hair was more than I ever dreamed. When it came to the wedding day she brought an assistant to help with the prep and also did the hair and makeup of my maid of honor. We both felt like princesses! My hair was not cooperating and it did not look the same as the trial. Caridad was very patient and professional with this nervous bride and she re-did a part of the hair style at least 4 times. In the end the look was beautiful and I was very happy with her services! I would highly recommend Caridad!

Caridad was fantastic! I was a little worried about having my hair and makeup done by someone I had never met on my wedding day, however, Caridad eased my worries. She did such an amazing job on my bridesmaids, my mother and myself. I have been in many weddings and have had my hair and makeup done by many people- I have to say, in all my experiences, I was most impressed with Caridad. She made us all look beautiful! Caridad was an absolute dream come true! She was super flexible and really did listen to the look my bridesmaids and I were trying to convey. Sometimes our visions would be all over the place, and she was really able to dial it in and ensure everyone had a really unique and yet classic look. The trial run was super helpful and she even came to where I was at the hotel prior. She and her assistant were certainly a hoot to have around us on the wedding day with stories, jokes, and just making us feel so special. At the end of the appointment it felt like we had all known each other for years. The best part is where Caridad really did save me on the wedding day as my fiance had an accident the day prior and had some pretty nasty marks on his forehead that would have made for some horrible pictures. She was able to switch gears to cover his face with make-up and when I saw him it was like it never happened. The makeup even stayed on the next day. Hair will surely NOT move at all which is much appreciated. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Caridad is absolutely fantastic. So kind, warm and most of all, made me look like a million dollars on my wedding day! I had never had my makeup and hair done professionally before, but was pretty certain I'd look like a drag queen--NOT THE CASE! Caridad and her assistant made each of my bridesmaids and I feel absolutely gorgeous and we all were! My makeup lasted well throughout the night and even throughout our newlywed photo session the next morning. A little pricey, but honestly, if you factor in how gorgeous I felt, it was totally worth it. She also does makeup and hair for many celebrities throughout Puerto Rico--so she knows a lot about the island if you have questions!

Caridad was PHENOMENAL-- I am so so glad I chose her for my destination wedding on September 29th, 2012. I am very particular about my hair and makeup-- but Caridad was completely unphased. She did a hair/makeup trial 2 days before, and then the day of the wedding I decided to go for something much simpler. She didn't even blink an eye, but just continued on and did what I asked her to do. I had also broken out into a horrible rash on my back a couple days before and during the wedding day, so Caridad helped me cover it with makeup. When it wasn't completely covered (it was a very bad rash- no makeup could have covered it!!), I was really upset because it's my wedding day and I never ever break out. I just wanted to look perfect, but Caridad was there to calm me down and even went out of her way to comfort me and tell me it's not anything I should worry about. She was more than a makeup artist but a friend-- which I really really needed that day. After my beach ceremony, she followed me down the beach while my photographer took pictures and touched up my makeup and brought me and my husband water constantly. She was just amazing. I can't describe how happy I am that I went with her, and she was by far the best vendor I chose. And the pictures came out amazing! She knew all the makeup tricks for an outdoor/sunny beach wedding. If you are looking for someone who is not only an excellent hair/makeup artist but also professional, thorough, and someone will go ABOVE AND BEYOND-- she is absolutely the one. I could not recommend anyone more highly. If I'm ever back in PR I'm buying you a drink Caridad!! :)

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! She is by far the best makeup artist out there hands down! Brides if you want to look stunning on your day and have pictures that will last you a lifetime. Caridad made me look and feel gorgeous! Even if I was not getting married, I would still book her over and over again! I feel so blessed to have met such a kind hearted and beautiful person. And now made a friend on the island of Puerto Rico. She not only did my hair and makeup and helped ease my nervousness and anxiety but also help around what needed to prepare for my ceremony. I just got married a little over a month ago (September 16th) in San Juan, Puerto Rico at the Caribe Hilton and it was beautiful and as far as getting the Bride ready, there was no one better than Caridad. I chose her based on her reviews on here and she was FANTASTIC! It is obviously nerve wrecking trying to select someone to handle your hair and makeup for one of the biggest and most important days of your life, let alone doing it all via internet reviews but I couldn't have made a better choice.

She made me feel super comfortable and calm from the moment she stepped into my hotel room. I felt like I felt as though I had known her forever. Very sociable, her conversations were great and most importantly she knew exactly what hair style would work best based on my skin tone, face shape, hair color and cut of my wedding dress. My make up looked AWESOME! She didn't cake it on but I still stood out. The color combinations were beautiful and she listened to me when I said what I did and didn't like in terms of what make up I tend to use.

I would recommend her in a heart beat. She is fast, efficient, meticulous and just a great person to be around. Super talented!!!! She also did my sister (maid of honor's) hair as well and she looked stunning!

Cardidad did my makeup and hair for my destination wedding in PR. To start, she was extremely responsive and professional in all email exhanges which made me feel very comfortable. She arrived to the hotel on time and ready to work. I felt like I was in a professional studio with her lighting and chair set-up. There were a lot of distractions in the room with other family members but Cardidad softly whispered to me "this your day...relax". She made feel comfortable, she asked my opinions on my makeup and hair pereferences, and she explained her products to me. Words really cant express Caridad. She transformed me into a beautiful bride. My hair and makeup were gorgeous and lasted late into the night.

Caridad is an amazing artist. I never wear make and I have very sensitive skin. So i was a bit worried about the make-up. But when i saw Caridad's work it was amazing she made me look so beautiful and natural. I LOVED IT! She was so nice and held conversation with me on wedding day. I needed that to calm me down. :) I loved the make up she did. and she even told me where i could find the make up. And after the wedding the make up was not hard to get off at all and i didn't break out or anything. I would recommend this Vendor to anyone! SHE IS SO AMAZING.

Caridad Vidro is simply - the best makeup artist in San Juan! It is a shame she is not located nearby. I was stressed on my wedding day and Caridad, through her personality and jokes, helped me re-focus and had me laughing the entire morning. She did an absolutely amazing job on my trial run and wedding day make-up application and hair. I sent her some e-mails of hair styles and looks I was trying to achieve, she gave her opinion on what worked and wouldn't work. She came highly recommended by someone in San Juan. I looked at other artists, but was impressed by her credentials and prior work. Caridad has been a make-up artist for years and at one time worked for Univision. I loved Caridad and her assistant. Caridad was on time for my trial hair and makeup. She also took careful note of the changes that I wanted for the big day. Caridad is amazing, very professional and a pleasure to work with. My only complaint is that she is not state side for me to use on a regular basis.

Caridad can recreate any hairstyle from just a photo and was prepared for just about anything my bridesmaids through at her. Having an outdoor wedding I was afraid that my hair would be hard as a rock from hairspray in order to hold my style but the products she used left my hair soft, shiny and in place all night.

I don't know how she did it, but my hair and makeup still looked great after hours of dancing! Caridad and her assistant Elsa were just great. I was worried that between the on/off rain and humidity, my hair would be ruined before the ceremony even started. No worries, Caridad knew exactly what to use on my hair and it didn't move - yet, it didn't look stiff! In the middle of hair/makeup we had to move rooms and she didn't complain, she just packed everything up and continued focused on her work. She used to work for Univision, so she can work with any hair/skin type. Loved her, one of the best decisions I made was to hire Caridad!

Caridad did make-up and hair for me (the bride), my mom, my mother-in-law and my maid of honor. She was so professional, on-time and creative. She did a beautiful job, was so great to be around especially on a morning when you are nervous as it is. We had done a trial about 5 months prior to the big day, but she remembered us as if it had just occurred a few days ago. She does remarkable work!

Perfect perfect! I'm no beauty queen and don't wear much makeup. Caridad and her assistant did a great updo and natural look makeup that lasted well in the heat/humidity. She books fast so contact her way ahead of time. Price was reasonable and she had some extras that I bought for touchups b/c I wasn't that prepared with stuff. I wish she could have done all the bridesmaids but I didn't book far enough ahead so she came from another wedding. She listened to my concerns and pics came out great! Highly recommended!

I'm actually lost for words when it comes to how AMAZING this women is. I had a destination wedding so I didn't have the chance to get a trial hair and make-up run. I'd sent Caridad emails with ideas of how I wanted my hair done and for make-up I just went with whatever she thought would look best.

On the day of the wedding when she was setting up and I saw her equipment I seriously felt like a movie star, she even had special lighting surrounding me! Caridad was great to work with. Given the distance, I was not able to do a trial before the wedding which had me a little anxious. She was very helpful in picking out the right style to complement my dress and the style of the wedding. The look lasted all night, even through heavy dancing, and my maids all looked ravishing. Caridad was very easy to work with, she answered questions clearly by e-mail and had a set game plan for coordinating both the trial and day of wedding. She was honest about which styles she thought would work with my hair length, and I thought the trial I did ~2 months before the wedding was an accurate representation of the look for the wedding day. Makeup looked great and stayed put x several hours. She also pampered my mom a lot, which was important to me. You can probably find someone cheaper, but I think the quality and organization Caridad brings to the table is worth it, especially if you are planning a destination wedding.

I am so happy that I worked with Caridad and her assistant for my wedding. They were both so wonderful! I felt like I met a friend who did so much more for me than my hair and makeup during my wedding. When my wedding events got really delayed and my Mom and friends couldn’t help me to put on my complicated Indian clothes, Caridad was there! I even showed her a video of how I was supposed to wear it on my iphone and Caridad calmly fixed my lengha just by watching the video, that otherwise she nor I had no idea how! When I started feeling nervous or emotional, she reminded me to take deep breaths which really helped through the whole weekend as I successfully controlled my tears, normally a very hard thing for me. Not only that, Caridad was great at doing a lot of Indian touches that was her first time, for example a full set of bindis on my forehead and a tikka in my hair. She really can do all. She’s also very fun and pleasant to work with and knows exactly how you want your makeup and hair done. She has an instinct too if you kind of sort of know what you want but not sure, she is so good at what she does that you will look flawless when she is done. What better way to feel beautiful on your wedding day than to have Caridad be your makeup artist. She was on time, personable, provided options of colors that best suited my skin, and took her time. The final product was everything I could of asked for. I received comments on my makeup of how natural I looked and how I just glowed. When you make up is done right, you start your day on the right foot and can't help but wait for your groom at the end of the aisle to see you light up and smile. Caridad and her team did an amazing job on my wedding day! They were punctual, efficient, professional, and all the girls looked gorgeous with their make-up and hair do's! They worked on 10 bridesmaids, 2 mothers, 1 grandmother, and myself (the bride) and we had to be ready for photos by early in the afternoon. They agreed to come at 6AM and pulled it off beautifully with no rushing or stress. Their team is so experienced with weddings and the emotions that go along with your wedding day and they were extremely encouraging, supportive, and fun. Caridad is wonderful! I hired her to do hair and make-up for my wedding and I could not have been happier. She arrived at our hotel right on time and brought everything she needed, including lights. She started with my hair, and by the time she was done I felt more beautiful than I ever had before (and that was without make-up.) She also did the hair for my maid of honor who looked picture-perfect! Then Caridad did my mom's make-up and turned my cute mom into a knock-out! And my make-up was perfect!

Caridad was available by email ahead of time and I sent her several photos and she helped me choose the perfect look. On the day of she listened to us and gave each of us exactly what we wanted. She was friendly, professional, and very caring.

Caridad was great - and very flexible. I had to change the location of getting ready a number of times, but it seems as if she was very busy and even though she was set on our location she confirmed. That was a little unnerving but it all worked out in the end.

She was also patient when my party arrived 30 minutes late (we were meeting at the wedding venue which is situated in the rainforest...and got lost on our way there!) But she did a great job on my hair and makeup. She is a professional makeup artist for a PR morning show, so she knows what she's doing.

I was a little alarmed to see how much make up was on my face...and it may have been a fault of my own, but the makeup definitely caked up some. BRIDES TO BE, be warned! EXFOLIATE EXFOLIATE EXFOLIATE before your makeup session.

Also, a girlfriend of mine had eyelashes put on her, but they came off immediately. This may also be because she wasn't staying still long enough for the glue to set, but its better for the makeup artist to tell you how long to sit still with things...

Overall Caridad and her assistant did an amazing job. My hair and makeup were flawless. I never felt so beautiful before - and granted I have been to many a makeup artist (I'm from NYC) but of course your wedding day you will get the works and then some!

Caridad did my hair and and makeup for my wedding last week and I am very pleased with her work. The look was absolutely perfect for me and my makeup was flawless and lasted all day. I was a little concerned during our consultation in August but it turned out ok. She did my makeup that day and it looked great but didn't do anything at all with my hair. Just sort moved it around and gave ideas but still charged me full price. Anyhow, the wedding day was perfect.

However, I am disappointed because she was an hour late on my wedding day. That hour caused us to rush out of the hotel and be late to the ceremony. I have just a few pictures getting ready. I missed out on all of the typical bride shots and awesome shots in the La Concha hotel. Also, she squeezed in my MOH at the last minute for a pony tail which I really wasn't sure how it happened because we were already behind schedule. But I guess she didn't want to turn down the extra work. Having said this, I paid her to do my 7 year old daughter"s up-do and it was pretty sloppy looking. She is so amazingly beautiful and I wanted something special but Caridad totally rushed her bun and it didn't look wedding quality. Had I known, I would have let her wear her hair down with the tiara. It's sad that she didn't look up to her potential on this very special day. Caridad's work is impressive! I have very thick hair that gets wavy in humidity. Caridad was able to work with my hair type and made me look like a celebrity! She was so nice and down-to-earth. Although she would never brag about it, she regularly does hair and make-up for tv personalities and has even done red-carpet events. If you have a wedding in PR you HAVE to book her- they go together like cafe and leche! Because her work is getting noticed (with work featured in wedding magazines) her schedule is fairly booked. I reserved my appt. six months in advance. Like the others have mentioned, she comes to your room, sets up her lights and director's chair and gets right to work. (Wear a cute robe so you can get some cool pics!) Also, I booked her at 1:45 with pictures at 3:00 and ceremony at 6:00pm- but that was not enough time to do the engagement session with the photographer. Luckily my planner (Lisa Rodriguez) and photographer, (David Medina) worked out a deal so that I could take additional pictures on a different day. My suggestion would be to allow yourself plenty of time for hair and make-up. Even though she will ask you to have your hair dried and face washed before she comes in, it still takes time. I was thrilled with the service I received from Caridad! We had a destination wedding, so I booked Caridad sight unseen by recommendation from our wedding coordinator. Caridad was keen to listen and work with my ideas of the wedding style that I was going for. She was incredibly professional and went above and beyond to make me feel beautiful on what is one of the most important days of your life. I had a few scheduling hiccups on the morning of my wedding and ended up being several hours behind our original timeline, even with that chaos she was able to complete my hair/make up with plenty of time for me to get down the isle. Caridad and her assistant were amazing! I cannot believe how I looked on my wedding day because of her makeup and hair. We got married in the rainforest at a smaller venue, and a 'tropical storm' came through while we were all getting our hair done. The power went off, and we weren't sure when it would return, so Caridad proposed doing my makeup outside on the porch, which actually was great due to the natural lighting. Just as we finished with my makeup, the power came back on and she was able to finish all our hair with her sweet assistant. About six months earlier, I had a private ceremony with my now-husband and had my hair/makeup done by a stylist in my hometown. I was wayyyyyy more impressed with both the makeup and hair for Caridad. I can't recommend her enough. She comes to your venue and makes it a very special occassion for the bride. In her 'day job,' she is the makeup artist for the morning news program in San Juan. Very professional and sweet!

If you have fine hair, do use caution with the level of heat used on the hair with a flatiron, as one of my bridesmaids who just had her hair straightened with the flatironed said it damaged her hair because it was too hot for her fine hair.

Caridad was very responsive, willing to work with you and recommend styles, she was very professional and does AWESOME hair and makeup. Even the photographers were impressed with her work for myself and my girls during my wedding. Wouldn't have gone with anyone else, and she was NOT expensive...

Caridad did an amazing job!! We had some confusion as to when and where the trial would be done but we were able to reschedule and it went great!!

Caridad was open to my suggestions and rendered some of her own to which I could appreciate. She was very descriptive and told you what she was doing every step of the way. Because of the trial, she knew exactly what she needed to do on the wedding day so everything went smoother than ever. She has a sweet personality and the experience overall was very pleasant.

She turned me into a gorgeous glowing doll for my special day and I will be forever thankful for her job well done!!

Caridad Vidro did my hair and makeup for my San Juan wedding. I have very difficult curly hair, so she did a hair trial for me the day before, it was great to do because I got to be at ease with what my look was going to be. I showed her a few pictures and she was able to nail the hair style at the trial.
On the day of the wedding she was on-time and brought her own lighting and everything she needed. The only complaint I had was that I feel that she took longer on my makeup than she estimated. We did not have a makeup trial, but the makeup was stunning. She told me that she needed three hours and it ended up taking almost 4.5 hours. My hair also looked a bit different on the wedding day, than the trial - but again I think that was because the makeup took longer.
Overall, I was very pleased with her service. My makeup did not budge! And I am a big crier so that says so much. My only suggestion to ALL future brides is to get ready as early in the morning as you can. I would of rather been all dolled up and drinking champagne with my bridesmaids than stressed rushing to the ceremony.

Caridad was such a pleasure to work with. She spent the whole day with my wedding party doing hair and makeup. They did such an amazing job on everyone. I have never looked so beautiful in my whole life.

Caridad was superb at my Nov 28 '09 wedding, We met 2 days before for a trial which didn't turn out as I wanted but I had a good vibe from her and asked her to come for my wedding prep. I'm so glad I did. I look at the pictures and I'm so happy with how beautiful I look. The makeup lasted ALL DAY, and was perfect. The hair was also so pretty, with the birdcage veil well-placed ;) Thank you Caridad!
