Not sure where to even begin with how amazing the Carleton of Oak Park is. Not only is the event just breathtaking, but the event staff was great. The real difference maker is Anne Parker, who runs all the wedding events. She was great. She was there every step of the way, and did so much to make sure the night went off seamlessly. Any last minute things we thought of, Anne had already taken care of. All in all, she really made the difference in not just choosing a venue, but choosing the entire experience.

Wonderful. Can't say enough good things about the Carleton. Beautiful atmosphere, incredible food, fantastic service. They did everything right and my wedding was perfect.

The Carleton was originally two hotels that we converted into one. The Plaza hotel was built in 1893 and the Carleton built in 1928. We are located two blocks south of downtown Oak Park, and within a mile of the Frank Lloyd Wright Home & Studio.

How does your venue determine the cost of the space?

We have room fee's for six hour rentals.

Do you offer any special services?

We offer Blocks of Hotel Room's with discounted rates for groups.

Do you offer any special packages for rehearsal dinners?

Yes.

Do you offer additional items for the ceremony?

Microphone & Stand, tables, chairs. We will reserve space for you to do a Rehearsal.

Do you rent other items such as linens, tables, or flatware?

All Tables, Chairs, Linen, Glassware, China, Flatware, Table Numbers, Candle Votives andDance Floor are complimentary.

What is your staff-to-guest ratio?

1-18

Do you require clients to use a specific list of vendors?

No.

Do you require the client to use your musicians? If you do not require this, is that an additional fee to bring in one's own musicians?

No we do not provide. Yes, you can provide at no charge.

Do you have any special side rooms that can be rented out for the occasion?

We have three rooms total for Wedding Receptions.

Can the client provide their own alcohol if desired?

No outside food or beverage except for Cake.

Plenty.

No confetti or taping/nailing anything into the walls. Have to follow fire department codes for candles.

None. Music has to end by 11:30pm on Saturdays.
