The staff and management were courteous and helpful from the moment we stepped on property until we left. From the beginning there was not a question left unanswered nor a glitch that could not be fixed. The wedding coordinator Yvette was very clear from the beginning she would be available for any of our needs and questions and kept her word from our first meeting in her office, to the wedding. We were treated with respect and were given clear instructions on how to make this day a memorable one for everyone. We were especially impressed with the scenic views for wedding pictures , and the beautiful room for the reception. Your staff went out of it's way to make sure our every need was met on our most memorable day and Carlton Oaks Country Club will always be our recommendation.
Perfect fairytale wedding. Yvette glides you through what needs to be done and informs you right off the bat to make an appt. with her if at any time you feel you are not quite sure what to do next. Her personal touches and walk thru of the property made us sure that was where we wanted to get married. The scenery is perfect for pictures and the staff made us feel welcome and were always helpful.
Yvette at Carlton Oaks Country Club handled our daughter's wedding in a very professional and caring manner. She referred all the vendors to us that did a great job as well. From the rehearsal to the ceremony, food, bar and reception....everything was perfect. I highly recommend Yvette and her staff.
Carlton Oaks was the perfect place for our wedding and reception. Everything was beautiful and Yvette was great! She answered all of the questions we had and helped us every step of the way. She made sure everything was taken care of so that we didn't have to worry about anything the day of the wedding.
Carlton Oaks is an excellent place to have your wedding or your bridal shower. The facility is a very nice place to have your event. The staff was exceptional. The servers were very helpful and kept the food and beverages flowing! Coordination with the event specialist was easy and fun. I would refer this place to anyone planning a party.
I had a wonderful experience having my daughter’s wedding at Carlton Oaks. It was a great place, fantastic people to work with. I helped my daughter plan this event as this was a first wedding in our family. We would recommend choosing the vendors they suggest. They are marvelous to work with, know the venue and each other. Everything went so smooth, thanks to them. I had no idea the event could be so fun. Yvette, the Special Events Coordinator was fantastic , so easy to work with, flexible and encouraging. John Salgado was a fantastic photographer. He put the wedding couple at ease, made them feel totally comfortable. Was out of the way, chose fantastic settings and quick to get photos up for us to see. Brandon Watterson was our DJ. Highly recommend him! The DJ is the one who MC’s the reception so very important to have a good, experienced one. Not someone who thinks it would be fun to play some tunes. Brandon gathered a ton of info from the wedding couple, wanting to make the reception theirs. He was a lot of fun and also helped the night go smoothly. Also use the Cecilia Cahvez from celebrity weddings for our chair covers, and a few other items used in on the tables. I cannot praise these vendors enough. I would highly, highly recommend them to make your wedding or event a wonderful experience.
My wedding at Carlton Oaks Golf Course and Country Club was PERFECT. We were looking for something in East County area that was in our budget, which wasn't very big. After comparing with some different golf courses and rental halls in the area, we decided that Carlton Oaks was the best bang for our buck, so to speak. Some of the other golf courses nearby wanted to charge up to $150 a head, which was way over budget for us! Needless to say, the price was much better with Carlton Oaks.
The ceremony site was beautiful and the grounds very well maintained. There was nothing quite like all of the green grass, which was a beautiful contrast to our sangria-colored theme. It was the closest to Ireland that we could get! They have a built in aisle, which is also a very nice feature. The golf course was a breathtaking backdrop for our photography session close to sundown after the ceremony.
We attended one of the bridal event open houses at Carlton Oaks months before the wedding and found almost all of our vendors there (music, lighting, and photographer). So, I definitely recommend checking that out, if they have it again.
The set up for the reception was perfect as well. The ball room is spacious, classic, simple, and beautiful on its own without having to do much. The wooden floors and river rock bar seemed to be kept up very well. They also have a very large menu, compared to others we'd seen. We opted for the buffet style dinner, with the prosciutto-stuffed chicken and roast beef, and the food was delicious, to say the least. All of our guests had very excellent things to say about the food and the overall space.
We also hired the event coordinator, Yvette Lynch, on as a day-of coordinator, to help with the extra details and timeline. I DEFINITELY recommend doing so. Without her, I don't know what we would've done. She is very detailed and thorough with everything during the wedding process, thinking of and considering things that my mother, two sisters, six bridesmaids, and crew of family members helping out would've overlooked. Every minute of my wedding felt amazingly perfect and went off without any hitch (well, except for one of my bridesmaids' heels staking my dress into the grass when taking bridal party pictures before the ceremony, but Yvette even had a solution to that -- club soda -- and the stain came out completely!). My day felt completely at ease, and I definitely recommend this venue to anyone looking for local wedding venue at a great value!
Carlton Oaks is perfect if you are on a budget. The price is great and the quality is awesome! I would recomend doing the Day of Services with Yevette. She totally rocks and keeps everything moving flowly. It was WELL WORTH the $250 to hire her.
I got married on July 9, 2011 and was very much a bride on a budget and Carlton Oaks was the best bang for my buck. The staff was all very professional and the grounds were beautiful! The reception hall has fabulous hardwood floors, chandeliers and huge windows overlooking the golf course. For me, it was the windows that sold it because I knew there would be no need to add any extra decorations! Yvette (the events coordinator) is wonderful and totally worth the day of fee. She was so flexible with all my special requests and everything is spelled out neatly in the package. It was nice to know that the guests would have plenty of parking (with no fee!) and have the option of staying the night at the lodge (which I totally recommend!). The location is easy to get to for all the out of town guests. Spencer at the front desk for the rooms was also wonderful to work with! Oh and the food was delicious and the options for hosting a bar really helped with our budget. Everyone had a great time!

My now wife and I had our wedding reception at the Carlton Oaks on May 7th, 2011. We worked with Yvette Lynch, the special events coordinator, who was absolutely fabulous. They are priced right, highly professional, easy to deal with, the food was great, and they pour a stiff drink. From beginning to end, top to bottom, we had a wonderful experience and are so glad we had our wedding reception at the Carlton Oaks. The reception room dresses up really nice and the staff is wonderful. Couldn't have had a better wedding party and Yvette and her staff are a huge part of that.
We used Carlton Oaks as our Ceremony and Reception site. Our wedding was everything we dreamed of and more Thanks to ALL of the employees at Carlton, They were over the top helpful. We hired Yvette (Special Events Coordinator) as our wedding coordinator. I highly recommend this. She made sure everything went as planned and all vendors were there, set up correctly, etc. I would not consider any other venue after experience with Carlton Oaks. They will accommodate any budget and what you see is what you pay for no hidden taxes, fees, etc.
Yvette, the events coordinator, is personable and very easy to work with. The fee she requests for "Day Of" services is an exceptionally great value, as she provides excellent service making sure everything works out exactly as planned.
The setting of the venue is beautiful. Our event ceremony was held in the garden, with the reception in the Crest room. Everything was excellently tended to, and the food was absolutely delicious.
I would recommend this venue and Yvette, very highly.
We had a great experience with the help of our planner that Carlton Oaks provides. She worked with our budget and was very helpful with helping our photographer take pictures at the golf course. We had a four hour window and was able to stick with the time because of the help.
My husband and I could not have been happier with Carlton Oaks! Everything went exactly as planned and Yvette and her team were incredible. The cost for the venue couldn't have been any better either. We received so many compliments about how amazing the food was - even though we had gone with a buffet service, people loved it! They were so flexible on where we wanted to put the dance floor and since we live in another state, Yvette even emailed us a diagram so that we could see what it would look like.
Amazing service, very friendly and you get more than what you pay for - I wouldn't have changed a thing!
The site was fairly reasonable for being a golf course. It was a perfect background for our wedding photos. I loved the food and service. I wouldn't have changed anything. It was perfect for us. We also used Yvette as our coordinator for the day of. She helped set everything up and was very helpful throughout the day.
