Bill Marsh was a very nice guy to work with. He was very helpful in providing suggestions to make the night flow well. He was always available and I chose to use him because he knew a lot about my venue and had impressive equipment. While the majority of the evening was great, there were a few things that I was a little concerned with. First, as my limo pulled up 15 minutes before the ceremony was set to start, Bill had just arrived and was not dressed yet. When it was time to play critical music such our entry to the reception and the music to the garter throw, he was a little late playing it, which left for awkward silences. We also were disappointed when we heard a few songs we didn't like, but missed a lot of the songs we had on our playlist. Overall I would recommend Bill.

Positives: Extremely easy to talk to, great at brainstorming music selections, very professional, reasonable packages for ceremony and reception coverage, very responsive via email or phone, and most of all, read the crowd so well on the wedding day to get people up and dancing vs. sit back and enjoy the day with a mix of background selections.

Cons: none - really, there weren't any

He was the only DJ I met in person and immediately knew he was the one to book. Since I'm a music lover myself, it was fun to talk to someone who loves music as much as I do. Another major vendor that I never worried about.

I love Bill Marsh. He was easy to get along with and helped me orchestrate the reception to perfection.
I had some wonky ideas and he helped turn them into precious moments because of his years of experience. He helped me get my timeline into a workable state, and even helped me pick out a couple songs. My wedding wouldn't have been as great as it was with out him.
The even gave us a special surprise at the end of our evening, and on our Honeymoon we danced and re-lived the evening all over again and we couldn't have done it without...

Bill Marsh did a fantastic job deejaying our wedding! he was polite, and did a great job wiith the music selections and transition songs and keeping my husband and I on the right track! I highly recommend Bill to any Bride to be! Thanks Bill!

Bill rocked! From the minute we met him, we felt comfortable with him and knew that he'd make the reception really fun. We knew going in that he was a little pricier than others we had met, but worth every penny! We had a few out of the ordinary requests, and he got them all! Our intro was timed perfectly - I got goosebumps! And he kept the right music going for cocktails, dinner and dancing such that we all thought it ended too soon! Once again, I'd recommend Bill a thousand times over!

Bill Marsh of Carlysle Entertainment was our disc jockey and also our favorite vendor which is saying a lot considering all of our �day of� wedding vendors were fantastic. There were two vendors we dealt with prior to the wedding that left much to be desired and were completely unprofessional. When this came up in a conversation with Bill he quickly recommended a few new vendors for us to check out and they were incredibly helpful. Aside from the reception music Carlysle Entertainment also provided music and microphones for the ceremony, up-lighting that accented our wedding colors along with some subtle dance lighting, and even a flat screen TV for us to run a special video we had made. Since that was originally only going to be used for the video presentation during cocktail hour Bill also suggested the photographers use it to run a slide show of the pictures they had taken from the ceremony mixed in with some of ours from the past throughout the reception.
My husband and I both have musical backgrounds and love all types of music but we are opposites when it comes to our favorite genres, mine being oldies, classic rock, and country and his being more, big band, jazz, and progressive with our one shared love being anything from the 80?s. Still we knew that we needed to please the masses at our wedding and Bill helped us do just that while still working our own favorites into the mix throughout the reception. He even suggested some really great instrumental covers of contemporary songs that we ended up putting into our song list for the ceremony and cocktail hour.
What made Bill our favorite vendor was his pure professionalism, unflappable demeanor, and constant willingness to take a moment to be of help no matter what the issue, music related or not. We have already recommended him to three friends who will be getting married next year that have already booked him and we look forward to seeing him in action again in a few months at my work holiday party. Overall working with Bill Marsh and Carlysle Entertainment was like working with a friend more than the hired help.

Bill Marsh of Carlysle Entertainment was our first and only choice for a DJ. He was so very accessible and met with us several times before the wedding. We never worried with Bill that something would go wrong. We always had complete confidence that everything would go off without a hitch. We were not disappointed. Our wedding was on New Year's Eve, 2008 and he was there before we were with everything set up and ready to roll with all of our favorite music. We did not want a lot a dance music - and he stuck to exactly what we wanted jazzing it up with his own timing expertise. He was not intrusive on the evening like some DJ's. He said just enough to keep the reception at a great pace without overstepping it and making it into his own show. It was perfect. He was very accomodating from the start. He located all the music - and he always responded quickly to any calls, questions or changes. His price was very reasonable which was important to us. We would highly recommend Bill for any occasion. He seems to be able to accomodate a wide variety of musical interests putting the bride and groom's desires above anything else . . . . He really helped make our evening perfect. He recommended several photographers, but when he found out we were absolutely not going to have a photographer - he brought his camera and took a ton of pictures for us. I was a little nervous from our meetings Bill that he would be very talkative during the wedding but he was always appropriate and interacted well with the guests. We chose him because the Evergreen House has 3 rooms and the set-up required some special equipment which he had. We left him a lot of flexibility with the music and he played a great varity that appealed to everyone. He worked with us on our special introduction of our choreographed first dance and at the end of a night had a CD for us of the songs he had played.

Bill was awesome! He helped us with our creative wedding party introductions and he really listened to what we wanted and did not want to hear during our wedding and stuck to it!

I hate to say my favorite DJ. Bill has a vast knowledge of music and presents it with class and style. Music for every age.

With Carlysle Entertainment, it's not just music, it's the whole party! Bill Marsh provides an excellent service and we at The Elkridge Furnace Inn not only recommend him, but use him as well. For some of our Special Events and larger Restaurant fuctions like Mother's Day Brunch, you can find Bill providing the elegant background music, but he really knows how to kick it up for an exciting party, too.
