Reviews for Carnival Cruises
We took a weekend cruise on Carnival to Ensenada a few months ago and had so much fun. We can't wait to go on another cruise. The best part of a cruise is that it's all inclusive - food, entertainment, & room. Even 24 hour room service is included. Food is served to you the moment you board the ship to the moment you leave the ship. There's 24 hour pizza, soft serve frozen yogurt, juices, hot & iced tea, & coffee and even midnight buffets. On formal night, everyone at our table was able to order two entrees each- lobster & prime rib. We saw 3-4 comedy shows and 2 stage shows. There are activites to burn off all that food you eat: outdoor track on top of the ship, indoor gym, ping pong, and pools. There was even miniature golf on the ship. There's a casino and clubs.
People normally associate Carnival as a party cruise and though you can do that, there was a good mix of people there- young, old and families.
We went on an 8 night cruise on the Carnival Liberty to the Eastern Caribbean. It was fantastic! All of the excursions were really fun and well-organized, and there was lots to do on the boat. I would highly recommend Carnival cruises and can’t wait to go on another one!
We received a 2 for 1 cruise deal from Afterhours formal wear through Capitol Cruises. I immediately called them and booked a 7 day Mexican Riviera cruise on Carnival. The travel agent at Capitol Cruises was very nice and very helpful. Our cruise was fantastic! Our cruise went to Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Cabo San Lucas. The food was fantastic. We had filet mignon, lobster, steak, veal, beef Wellington just to name a few. You can order as much as you want, there were a few nights that DH ordered two dinners. We went to a show every night after dinner which was also a lot of fun. They also have a dance club, a piano bar, a sports bar, and a dance lounge. There are tons of activities going on every day or you can choose to do nothing and lounge around by the pool and sip cocktails. We went swimming with the dolphins in Puerto Vallarta which was incredible. It was such a great experience and worth every penny. We also went horse back riding on the beaches in Cabo which was also incredible. It was so beautiful and so much fun. The cruise (which includes room, food, shows, activities, etc) cost us $1100 total for 7 days. It cost us an additional $800 for excursions, alcohol, gambling, and souvenirs.
It’s called the fun ship for a reason. We can’t wait to go again! It was filled with honeymooners. Great atmosphere for our honeymoon!
We left out of Galveston because it was the closest port to us. The staff was great....always there to keep you entertained, answer questions, share stories, and more. The food was awesome...such a variety. The price was very reasonable as it includes all meals and almost all activities on board. If you choose an excursion from them in a port they will wait for you if it runs late... we had experience with that and I am definitely grateful that we booked through them. Our room was cleaned everyday.
Our honeymoon Caribbean cruise on Carnival was wonderful! We had the time of our lives. Carnival went to great lengths to take care of all our needs. We were very impressed by the high level of service and excellent accommodations. Fun honeymoon spot!
It took us forever to decide on a honeymoon. We needed something affordable and we wanted to go someplace warm and tropical. Someone suggested a cruise and after researching all of the cruise lines we found Carnival to be the most affordable. We narrowed it down to the cheapest port to fly to and we wanted a Carribbean cruise. Our agent was great to work with and we loved the Glory so much we are going back next year on the exact same cruise. The locations were gorgeous and we had the most amazing vacation. It was my first time cruising and they made it a wonderful experience. We even talked our friends getting married in April to go on the same cruise.
The cruise was amazing. We loved that we could unpack ONCE, and still visit 4 amazing locations! The only negative part was that the weather was overcast most of the time, and two of our shore excursions got cancelled because of it (although we just scheduled different ones instead). I’d definitely recommend cruising as a way to see several places without having to plan any of it yourself!
I don’t think I’ll be taking another Carnival Cruise. For your honeymoon, splurge a little if you can and at least upgrade to Royal Caribbean. The pools were closed, the boat was smokey and smelled like sewage some of the time and it all looked a little old. The food was not spectacular. That said, we had fun doing the activities, gambling a little, seeing shows, etc. We also had a GREAT time on our excursions in Mexico.
We love cruising. It is a great way to visit many places, eat wonderful food, and have good entertainment. For the honeymoon, our cruise went to the southern Caribbean. However, we have always enjoyed our Carnival cruises.
LOVED my cruise. I had been on one before but I absolutely loved it. The staff is always friendly and the service is always awesome!
We LOVED our honeymoon! We had a blast! My husband and I decided that we weren’t really beach people and wanted to go somewhere where we could do stuff all day long. A cruise was the answer! I just recommend researching the places that you will go before going, we did not and I think that we would have had more fun if we had!
Not as exciting as expected. Be very careful of your room location on the ship and be sure to schedule your port excursions ahead of time. Be prepared to spend a great deal more time on the ship and only a short time in port. Take lots of money, you are nickel and dimed to death. Also, plan to wait in a lot of lines in and out of customs at all ports
So nice. They have many things for you to do while on the boat. Shows, casino, bar, restaurants, and lots to do when you stop at your locations.
Carnival was amazing and has absolutely started a new craze in our family. We are now addicted to cruising. It was one of the best times and memeories in my life. Service was
amazing. Rooms were impeccably clean and they leave you cute towel animals that are kind of their thing to do. Food all the time. Their steakhouse costed a little extra (As most in all included except drinks) but it was the most amazing 6 course meal in the world. I ate so much I just felt sick but couldn’t bear to leave any behind. The spa was clean and awesome. It was one of their newest ships the valor. Dining service was amazing we Wanted to take our guy home. I even thought about working on the ship for a brief second. The entertainment was great! To any considering a trip well worth taking you will never regret it!
Carnival Valor: Ports of call: Grand Cayman; Isla Roatan, Honduras;Belize; Cozumel, Mexico. We picked this cruise because of its itinerary and it was within the dates we knew we could have off. We were really impressed with the ship. We had a balcony stateroom suite and let me tell you.. I don’t think I can cruise any other way now. We had a nice sized room with a sitting area, vanity area and a full bath with double sinks and a shower/tub combo that had jets in the tub. The room had more than enough space for the two of us and we both enjoyed the balcony. There was a lot to do on the ship on sea days. We spent some time around the pool, ate way too much, played mini golf, went to some shows/comedy shows, etc. Everything was very organized. The staff was great. Our room stewards and wait staff were amazing. We were sad to leave them and made sure to tip them well for their great efforts. The cruise director was very friendly, outgoing and funny. We also went up to the spa and got a couples’ massage. It was wonderful.
great value for the price. the good is passable and the environment depend much on the accommodation you received varies. i had a good trip with my husband for our honeymoon in summer 2007 to Hawaii. recommended if you can find a good deal.
My parents have taken my brother and I one cruises since we were 18, and it has always been my favorite way to travel and vacation. The boat brings you to these amazing locations, and then you can take day trips to see some amazing historic sites. We decided on the Hawaiian Cruises package because my wife had never been to Hawaii before. The food on that cruise line was amazing. I’ve never eaten so much chocolate dipped pineapple slices before, and we were able to attend a great luau. They gave us the option of renewing our vows on the starboard, but we declined. We choose Carnival Cruise line because they were offering a great winter deal, and we had the time off. The rooms were clean, the staff was great, everything about the ship was perfect.
We loved our honeymoon. We loved all of the ports, the great service of the ship staff, all of the available activities, the great tours that are offered, and especially all of the great food. I definitly recommend taking a cruise especially with Carnival.
The price for our paticular cruise was unbeatable. We found the best deal through Carnival Cruisline. Everything is going to be paid for up front and I'm excited for a relaxing stress-free honeymoon with my sweetheart. All-you-can-eat food and drinks that are already paid for and plenty of warm sunshine and activities to do. The ship offers so many different things to do like comedians, shows, dancing, and more.
This was a fun trip, but I wouldn't go again for a Honeymoon, I would choose a land destination. It tended to be a fun ship with lots of activities, but not as cozy or romantic as we had hoped. The rooms were ok, nothing too special and the food was decent. I always think cruise food could be better, but the frozen yogurt is amazing, we lived off of it! We had a great time together but wished we would have went somewhere more romantic. The itinerary was kind of go-go-go and we didn't get to relax as much as we wanted because we also wanted to get off the ship and explore-too much to do in too little time. Again, this would be perfect for just a "normal" vacation.
Carnival Cruise Lines was a great choice for a cruise. While afterwards we decided that cruising isn't really our thing, we ended up having a pretty good time and were glad that we at least had the experience. Carnival is one of the cheaper cruise lines and I think they get a bad reputation because of that. There tended to be a lot of people drinking on our cruise, but if that doesn't bother you (it was no big deal to us) then I think you'll have a great time. Also be sure to ask about on board credits if prices drop on the same cruise your going on.
We decided to take the Azamera Quest 14 day Carnival Cruise to Europe. We stopped in Civitavecchia, Italy; Sorrento, Italy; Taormina, Italy; Ravenna, Italy; Venice, Italy; Dubrovnik, Croatia; Olbia, Italy; La Spezia, Italy; Florence, Italy; Civitavecchia, Italy. When we stopped I enjoyed it, but I am not a sea person so I remained seasick the whole trip plus the cabins are much smaller than you think they are. My husband enjoyed it though.
We had a blast on our Carnival cruise. I loved all of the activities, the pre planned parties, the fitness center with an awesome pilates instructor, the track right on the ship. I don't love the rushed feeling you have when you stop at an island, but we just looked at like we were getting a taste of a variety of different places and can decide from there where we want to go back to one day. We did the eastern carribean. The absolute best time was had at Half Moon Cay, Carnival's private island! Don't miss going to the private beach with the clearest water you will ever see. Then the carnival staff makes thie big cookout so you eat your lunch right on that island. It was the most relaxing day we had!
we did a 7 day cruise to the carribean. We had the best time on the ship and off. So much fun. I mean they are the fun ships! The only thing I didn't like is trying to find two chairs together somewhere near the pool but once we realized you need to ge up very early and do that we were good. The pool is saltwater and they drain the water everyday and refill it. The food was really good. I had three lobsters one night.
Carnival was just right for us. We enjoyed the food and featured drinks. The stops at islands were all pretty great. The private island that Carnival owns was the best stop. All in all we had a very relaxing honeymoon. We did the eastern carribean 7 day cruise. I actually enjoyed the all day sailing days the most. Those days have a very leisurly feel. The days that you go onto the islands, you kind of feel like you arew on a schedule but the shopping makes the schedule worth it.
I was a first time cruiser and to say the least this was the most incredible vacation I have ever been on. My husband had to be back to work sooner then expected so we had to choose a short cruise but, nevertheless it was so much fun. We sailed out from Florida to Nassau, Bahamas and it was nothing but greatness from there. We swam with the dolphins, rode horses on the beach, played some golf, and most importantly had time alone.
A seven day cruise to the Mexican Reviera. The was a balcony suite, the best value. We get to visit 3 cities in a week
My fiance is booking a Carnival Cruise for our honeymoon. Their customer service representatives are great and can answer all of your questions promptly. I've been on Carnival Cruises in the past and they make your trip as fun as can be.
The ship was very nice and clean. It's been refurbished and they have added a water park with slides and a miniature golf section. There were lots of activities throughout the days to keep you going and the staff was great! . If you're looking for a great ship with lots of activities to choose from and a great "serenity" section for adults to relax without children around, then I would definately suggest sailing on the Carnival Inspiration
Amazing cruise line. We really enjoyed every aspect of our trip and found the staff to be really helpful.
We decided to get a cruise for our honeymoon. We were going to get married on the cruise but the cost was outrageous for what you got. I am looking forward to the cruise as I have cruised many times before but I wouldn't get married on the cruise ship unless you are willing to pay.
We got a $750 per person 5 day trip to the Caribbean during peak season. If you dont have a specific date for your wedding yet, you can revolve it around an AMAZING deal for 'non peak season' trips, where you could even go on a 12 day cruise for around $400! Its all about the planning :)
ABSOLUTELY THE WORST VACTION I HAVE EVER BEEN ON. Our tv was broken the entire time, we complained everyday more then once. They never came to fix it. The food was terrible.
the best way to take a honeymoon in Europe, if you want to see several places and not stay in one city is to take a cruise.
The good: you don't have to carry around a suitcase and pack every time you go to a new place.
The bad: days in each place are limited to the ship's schedule. So, if you want for example more days in Rome, you have to add them at the beginning or end of your cruise (but even Carnival will help you with this if you want).
We went on the Carnival Freedom (12night cruise) because we wanted to see mostly Italy. They offered a large variety of tours which covered the likes of everyone. Food was good. Although some say that Carnival food isn't that great, everything was exquisite and the menu options were excellent. They had quality foods like fillet mignon and prime rib several times, not just once! The cruise stayed overnight on Venice, which was great because you could take a gondola ride at night. The shows were really wonderful! some where Broadway quality. They were so good, that I went to every single one of them because I didn't want to miss them! Cruise activities and games were also fun. They have a marriage game that I recomend all honeymooners go to! It's hilarious and a lot of fun.
Service was very friendly and even the person who cleaned your room would learn your name. I recommend Carnival to everyone!
Carnival Cruises have very good prices so anyone can afford to take a trip.
This is for the reception package on the cruise. It's an excellent price for everything that is included. Check out the wedding packages on the carnival website.
Planning on doing a 7 day cruise to the carribeans and so far i had learned to get the rooms with the windows because the interior mess up your internal clock. great price to be honest and everything all inclusive. visit an island a day? what could be better?
We had a blast on our Honeymoon, we would recommend Carnival to EVERYONE... The food was great and the staff was at our beck-en-call. I even took my cake topper with us and the Dining room staff thought it was the funniest item they ever seen...
Thanks All
Let me tell you how upset I was when I found out to get real flowers for bouquets for the girls they where $50 each. And let me remind you, you CANNOT bring the flowers back on the ship. I decided to make my own bouquets which where more than reasonable and looked beautiful without guessing and hoping what they would look like. I would have otherwise spent $250 on flowers for about 10 minutes that would be thrown out before you got back to the ship from the ceremony site.
I would not invest in flowers in the island unless you absolutely love flowers, but Im not a flower kind of girl, and my bouquets are exactly what I wanted without paying $50 each for 5 bouquets.
