Casa Ybel Resort

We had a great experience at Casa Ybel from start to finish. Jessica and Jennifer took the time to answer every tiny question and address the most minute details. I could not have done it without Jennifer - she is really, really amazing. The longest I had to wait for a reply to an email was 2 days and if I absolutely couldn't wait, I knew I could call. She always made herself available and always made me feel like I was the most important thing going, even though I know she was swamped with multiple weddings! When our chairs were set up for the ceremony the guys set them up wrong, but Jen had it fixed in ten minutes (I'm not exaggerating)!
I have two gripes. One is that its made to sound as if there's enough room that you won't see another wedding, even if they are on the grounds at the same time as you. This is not nearly the truth. Not only did we see two other weddings, but the ground-to-ceiling windows at our reception room looked out directly onto a tent wedding. The other was you're given the impression that your ceremony will be in a secluded spot, but there were many resort guests in swimsuits not 20 yards from our ceremony location. Hopefully Photoshop can get rid of those who walked through our pictures. The thing is, if I had wanted that we could have gotten married on a public beach & saved a ton of money.
Nearly everything about our day was perfect. The food was fantastic, the staff friendly, flexible and knowledgeable. As we left, my husband remarked several times that it had been a wonderful day. I could not agree more.

They are fine to deal with. They do not always call you back as quickly as they should. The grounds are beautiful... We are having an open bar, the selection is great for the optoins of rum, gin, etc.. But then you come to the vodka selection and it is iceberg.. It is kind of like having a bar with all middle of the line options, but your vodka selection is Skol. And I am sure they will charge be extra to change it...

Our reception began on the patio of Thistle Lodge with a view of the pool and beach. Jim Tucke played tropical tunes while singing and playing guitar and steel drum. He was wonderful. We had served hordeavors of chicken satay, california rolls, and spring rolls passed by a server along with an open bar. Everyone loved the food. We then headed upstairs to a gorgeous room over looking the beach where everyone could see the bride and groom being photographed below. Nocera Photographic was a delight to work with and her photos were unique and absolutely gorgeous. Beth from Video Heirlooms caught all the fun and romance in a live video. She was easy and professional to work with and we loved what she did. Jennifer Dube from Casa Ybel made our experience stress free and so pleasant. She thought of things and took care of them without being asked. She set the tables up with our favors and touches in a beautiful manner. She was fun, easy going, offered helpful information and ideas and was willing to do anything to make our day perfect. Our buffet dinner was fabulous. Many guest approached us to say how delicious the food was. Our cake from Masons was white with a lemon filling and decorated beautifully. As delicious as it was beautiful. Jennifer made the cake table look very special with a satin cloth she added without being asked. We were thrilled with the elegant appearance of the room. Floral artistry of Sanibel did a FANTASTIC job decorating the church and making the reception room look absolutely gorgeous. The room was breath taking when one first entered. Our DJ from Talent! was professional in every way. His name was Tony Edwards and he was fun and organized. Miss Kelly from Miss Kelly's dance studio helped the bride and groom create a special hip hop dance with hats and canes that thrilled the group. Jennifer was behind the scenes helping me find a place to store my bags and making sure Katie had her second dress ready for the quick change for the hip hop dance. I can not say enough about the quality of service and beauty of the location. Casa Ybel is romantic and the perfect setting for a fairy tale wedding of your dreams. I could not have hoped for more. My guests were so happy and well cared for and the entire event was perfect in every way. I can not say enough about the food that was served. It was so delicious! The all inclusive package helps to make the event planning stress free. Having Jennifer there to help every step of the way gave us all confidence that everything would be taken care of for us. Delightful experience in every way!!!

I am so glad we booked our destination wedding at Casa YBel Resort. Jennifer is so awesome, I didn't want or need for anything. She paid such attention to detail it is as if she were planning her own wedding.. Never have I dealt with such professionalism. She saw my vision and took it up several notches!!

The property is most beautiful and the staff was top notch! Our food was more than awesome! Our guests are still talking about it.

We're so glad we chose Casa YBel for our wedding, and put our faith and trust in such competent hands! We were truly amazed!!

When my wife is set on something, there is no chance in any budging. I understood that she didn't want a beach wedding and that she was very adamant about that. We went to my best friend's wedding at Casa Ybel, and she changed her mind that night! I have to admit too that the resort is very nice. I am very pleased with how they treated us there. My wife was mainly in contact with them, and she would always tell me that she was happy that they always got back with her fast and always took care of her. They anticipated all our needs and fulfilled everything. Their service spectacular, and the amenities are just as great! I stayed there a few nights before the big day with my guys as our extended bachelor party, and because they knew I was getting married they always made sure we were comfortable.

In the beginning, I honestly didn't want a beach wedding. I have lived by the beach all of my life and I just wanted something different and unique away from the beach. My husband I went to a friend's wedding at Casa Ybel a few months after we got engaged, and I changed my mind right after that! This resort is BEAUTIFUL! You not only get the beautiful beaches, but their resort is just amazing! During our friend's wedding we walked around the resort by ourselves and we knew that we wanted to get married there too. We worked with Jennifer, and she is such a doll! She always promptly returned any of my phone calls or Emails, and she was such a big help in getting everything organized. Our food was so delicious, and the space was beautiful!

Jen was absolutely amazing! My wife never even had a Bridezilla moment thanks to Jen's impeccable planning and attention to detail.
Casa Ybel is an incredible site, and incredibly maintained. The service staff is phenomenal, and the food is beyond outstanding.

Casa Ybel Resort was the best wedding decision I could have made, and my weddings was an absolute dream because of them! From beginning to end, planning was a breeze thanks to Jessica and Jennifer, the very helpful coordinators. Every question asked was answered promptly, and any concern that I had was a non-issue as everything was handled beautifully! The site is gorgeous, and property well maintained. The food was delicious (still getting compliments from family and friends!) and the staff was very professional and helpful. The vendors they recommended were all fantastic, and completed my dream wedding day for me. This is the perfect place for a destination wedding in Florida!

Having our wedding reception at Casa Ybel was amazingly easy, thanks to their on-site wedding coordinator, Jennifer Dube. Her knowledge of Sanibel's advantages and restrictions, (having to do with nature and noise, for the most part), made our big night everything we wanted it to be. From the moment we entered our candlelit reception room to the last dance, we were treated with utmost respect and kind courtesy. Jennifer and the Casa Ybel staff know that planning a destination wedding can really be trying on one's patience. They are there to guide you throughout the process: from recommending vendors to choosing the food, everything you need is right there.

Casa Ybel was built with weddings in mind, and that philosophy is evident to this day. It was wonderful to have the outdoor patio for a cocktail reception, then move upstairs for the served dinner for 65. The food was incredible, the beach is steps away and Casa Ybel itself is a gorgeous resort at which you and your guests can stay, (many of ours did). The level of class we experienced was top-notch. We only wish we could do it all over again!

Please excuse the delay in sending this letter. We wanted to be sure we remembered everything we wanted to say before sending it. From day one, Jennifer Dube and the staff at Casa Ybel were nothing but professionally accomidating. Not once were we made to feel as if we were over-stepping with our requests. Never did anyone tell us "no", but rahter "maybe we could do it this way instead..." At no point in time did we feel as if we were bothering anyone with any questions we had. Replies to our e-mails were lightning-fast. Answers to our questions were clearly worded. Any fears we had were alleviated by Jen's knowledge of Casa Ybel's advanages and limitations. Planning a destination wedding could have been an extremly stressful experience, but Jen's can-do attitude made everything seamless. When we arrived from Chicago, everything was exactly as we had planned. There were no surprises with the bill, the seating arrangments were precisely executed, and, (thanks to the complimentary food tasting we took advatage of in August), the dinners were as delicious as we knew they would be. Rarely can a bride and groom say the their wedding was "perfect". Mick and I have no other word to describe our weekend at Casa Ybel. Jen was in constant contact with us, even though there was another wedding going on the night before ours. The day of our wedding, our frantic last minute questions were answered calmly. Our last-minute requests were carried out as if they had been planned for months. Unfortunatley, our last-minute "thank yous" to Jen did not do her justice. With all of the hustle and bustle that comes with planning a wedding, we never knew that a wedding coordinator could become such a great friend along the way. We realize thatin doing hundreds of weddings a year, a facility could easily become numb to the fact that each one is special to the individuals involved. Thank you to Jen Dube, and everyone at Casa Ybel for making us feel as if ours was the best wedding you have ever done.

Thank you for your help from start to finish planning the most beautiful day to remember. Our wedding was, in my biased opinion, the most fun and stunning event I have ever been too. we owe so much of the smooth sailing of the logistics to the event and catering staff, most notably the wedding coordinator and Sales Director. Jessica and Jennifer ensured all details were in place and helped keep everything on track throughout the evening. While things are bound to go wrong on a wedding day, the little hiccups were quickly rectified by the very capable staff. Every tiny detail was immaculate and the friendly banquet staff allowed for my guests to feel right at home. Also, upon Casa Ybel's recommendation we hired Jeff Key, a musician for Danny Morgan's company, he was the hit of the party. All of the recommended vendors were excellent. A special thanks to Casa Ybel's dedicated staff for helping us have the most memorable day of our lives.

It's been over a month since our wedding and we're still reminiscing about our amazing day! We've heard time and time again from our guests that it was one of the best weddings they've ever attended and we know we owe that to you and your hardworking staff.

We were a little nervous planning a wedding over email from so far away, but working with you was a bride's dream. Not only did you take the time to propmtly answer every question I had along the way and customize the details to our needs, you also ensured everything was executed flawlessly. It was such a comfort knowing we had you leading the charge since we couldn't be there to manage things first hand. You thought of details that never would have crossed my mind.

And what a wonderful day it turned out to be! The servers and bartenders went out of their way to make everyone comfortable (including following me with a plate of appetizers to ensure I had something to eat). The food was delicious. The reception was gorgeous. And everyone at the resort catered to our needs. It's hard to believe we received such a first class treatment while staying in our budget. Thanks for making our wedding day everything we hoped it would be.

i just wanted to rave about the catering staff from Casa Ybel. We couldn't have made a better choice to have our wedding here at your resort...it was absolutly perfect! Our ceremony was on the beach with the reception on the tented lawn. Every detail was perfect and the event was orchestrated without a hitch, thanks to Jennifer. Since I planned this wedding from Maryland and had only seen the resort a couple of times I had a hard time picturing how everything was going to be...and it certainly exceeded my expectations. We didn't even have a rehearsal (which was not even necessary), since Jennifer had a handle on everything from the beginning until the end. The wait and bar staff were so attentive and friendly to us and all of our guests. All of our guests were raving about the beauty of the venue, the set-up, and how great the food was. The resort is breathtaking in itself and the fabulous staff makes it stand out among the rest. I would definitely recommend Casa Ybel to anyone and everyone. Thank you so much for the wonderful ecperience and for making our wedding day so memorable.

With setting up the ceremony site, Thanks Jeremy (and thank you for serving and bartending...all around employee:)...right to the cocktail hour then to the reception. The setting was so perfect and the food was so great! All our guests really enjoyed themselves. We plan on visiting Casa Ybel Resort every 2 years for our anniversary. So we'll see you soon!

Overall everything was beautiful. The ceremony site was amazing and I was fortunate to have no rain. Jennifer was there to tell the wedding party when to walk down the aisle, which was a huge help. She also helped coordinate when we walked into the room for the first time as husband and wife. Everything was amazing and I would certainly recomend Casa Ybel for a wedding or other major event. Greg and I could not have been happier with our choice with Casa Ybel. Jessica and Jennifer were amazing to work with. They made planning a destination wedding easy. We did not have any worries leading up to the wedding day. The vendor recommendations they gave were great as well. Our music was amazing-Thanks Jennifer for your recommendation. Our guests were so impressed with the setting, service and the food. Greg and I received so many compliments on the appetizers, dinner, and cake. The day was more than both of us expected it to be. We had the most perfect wedding day at Casa Ybel. The Casa Ybel staff has such great experience, I didn't feel that I has to micro-manage the event at all, and was ablt to truly enjoy the entire day, from the ceremony through the end of the reception. What added tremendously to the success of the event was that the vendors I selected from their recommneded list of vendors were also familiar with holding events at Casa Ybel, and had a proven track record of professionalism, and most importantly, happy brides! I really felt that I could let loose, and trusted that I was in good hands with the entire staff as well as my vendors. Everyone had a wonderful time, including the bride and groom!

Phil and I had an absolutely wonderful time at our wedding at Casa Ybel. Everything went off without a hitch. The location is perfect, the room is beautiful, and the food was delicious. All of the vendors we worked with were very flexible and easy to work with too.

I especially need to thank Jennifer Dube for all of her help. She always got back to me right away with any questions I had. And believe me, I had a new question all the time. The day would not have been as perfect without her.

I also have to add that all of our guests, including Phil and I, loved the food! I received many emails from friends and relatives raving about the food. Casa Ybel is a beautiful place to have a wedding and I would highly recommend it to future brides.

We were delighted with our experience at Casa Ybel from beginning to end. Jennifer Dube was friendly and more than helpful with our many questions. She was quick to offer creative and practical advice when needed. The room was absolutely breath taking! Jennifer was wonderful in setting up our favors and various tables in a beautiful manner. The cake table was stunning! She made sure to assist us with the DVDs we wanted to show. She helped with questions regarding local vendors and we found that the vendors she suggested were very professional in every way. We had several guests tell us that the food and cake were absolutely delicious. The bar tender was very nice. I loved the way Jennifer took care of everything before I even had to ask or think about it. The entire experience was stress free. Jennifer was delightful, professional, efficient and had a keen eye for what looks the best. When our next daughter marries I would consider Casa Ybel without hesitation. The new Mr. and Mrs. Dellagnolo stayed at the resort for their honeymoon and Jennifer was quite helpful in speaking to the chef for me regarding an amenities package. I had total confidence that if anything did go wrong, as it sometimes can…it would be taken care of in a efficient and caring manner. I have already recommended Casa Ybel to two of my friend’s daughters. Thank you so much for a beautiful reception.
