Castle in the Country

My wife and I got married at Castle. We simply loved it.

Several months before the ceremony, we visited Castle to meet with the staff, see the location, and talk about the wedding. We finalized our decision immediately, as their property is so beautiful and truly met our vision.

Castle has two buildings; the Castle and the Keep. We booked the Keep for us and our family on our wedding night. The ceremony was outdoor on the deck, near the gazebo. The event was quick, intimate, and very romantic. The reception was simple and sweet. Afterward, we sat outside, by the fire and enjoyed the company of our family.

Planning the event was very simple. We generally coordinated over email. Castle offers a package that covers pretty much everything. They offer a few options and you can customize a number of elements. We spent so much time planning our large reception (which took place two days later in Chicago) that Castle's all inclusive package was a wonderful peace of mind.

One thing that is important to recognize. Castle will be the first to admit that their photography is not professional. The pictures we got were average overall. My brother is an amatuer photographer who owns some expensive equipment. He shot side by side with Castle's staff and we were glad we had his extra shots. If photographs are very important to you, you may want to hire someone.

We love Castle and will definitely return on an anniversary. If you want an intimate, romantic, private wedding experience, Castle is great option. Definitely schedule a visit.
