We had Brian as our D.J. the owner of Catalyst. We were referred to them by some friends, but unfortunately they were the biggest and only let down of the day. We had given him a list of "must plays", but he didn't play most of them and did not follow our instructions for the dinner/cocktail hour. Our first dance was another big letdown. We had to continually call him to talk about our song and editing it. He was always too busy to talk to us and didn't do anything to the song. About 10 minutes before our first dance, he came to the head table and said "I'll just talk over the song, does that work?", well with only 10 mins until our dance, we really didn't have a choice. If we had known he wasn't going to edit the song, we would have chosen another.

He also did not get some of our requested songs for some reason and asked us to bring our own CDs, so he could copy them before the reception. We brought the CDs because these songs were important, but he didn't show up to the reception site until maybe 15mins before the reception was to start. Our reception immediately followed our ceremony and when we were in the receiving line, I was informed the DJ has not arrived yet. He played maybe 2 songs consecutively from our CDs and that was it. My Family was very disappointed.

I've heard good things about the other DJs in their business, but from what I have seen from the owner, I would not recommend them to anyone.

Our family has used Catalyst Productions for several events previously, so it was an easy choice for us! Brian was very easy to work with and the prices cannot be beat! Ryan was our DJ the night of the wedding and we had a blast! He was very fun and made some awesome suggestions based on our personalities and was very open to our suggestions/requests as well. We truly felt that the music reflected us!

Well-- I truthfully didn't like our DJ that much as far as Mic Presence... it was the owner of the company... Brian. Maybe other dj's in the company are a little better Mic wise...?
They do have a website that you can post songs you want played as you think of them-- which was cool, and the dance floor was packed-- but I think that's because we have some fun friends/family too :) The bridal party announcement was boring-- so was the bride & grooms. He didn't give Roy & I enough time to sit down before he started having the toasts made & lastly, he said the name of 'our songs' before they were played--- kinda tacky. Also, he walked out on the dance floor to ask the groom a question during the mother/son dance.. didn't like that much either! But, again this was all stage/mic presence predominately. He was fairly priced and did send song suggestion cd's -- about 15 of them... which was pretty cool...

Great music - floor was packed all night!

Brian was amazing! Highly recommended. He really made our night. Everyone kept asking us for his info so they can hire him. He is a must have!

We had seen Catalyst Productions at one other wedding and they were amazing. When I called to book I was a little worried because Brian (the owner) wasn't able to do our wedding because he was already booked but when we met with Ryan he was amazing!! The night of the wedding he was awesome! He played everything at the right time and he played all the songs that were on our must play and it was amazing! I danced every single song until midnight, I seriously enver left the dance floor! He made our reception the one everyone is still talking about.

Ryan is the best DJ! He is personable, laid back and fun. He listens to you...which is most important. He also is great at reading the crowd. We had Karaokee for our reception and he found the perfect balance to keep it fun yet keep people on the dance floor. The crowd was shouting Encore when he was done...and you know what he had a song saved...just perfect! Request Ryan is great.
