Everyone at Catans was extremely helpful in helping me find the dress of my dreams, as well as, our bridesmaid dresses! I would highly recommend setting up an appointment to try on your wedding dress if you don't already have one!!! You and your loved ones will be put in your own private fitting room with your own consultant!!!

I loved my dress and my consultant was wonderful!

As the bride, the staff working with the wedding dresses were amazing, however the staff was not so kind to my bridal party as well as my mother. I was extremely disappointed in the attitude I received from the staff that was helping my bridal party choose their dresses. Not only was it difficult to find someone to help us but when we did they also made it very clear that they did not like the fact that I let my bridal party choose their own dresses and that they were not the same color. I had family and friends come all the way in from Chicago to help me choose the dress and to get their dresses fitted at Catan Fashions. Needless to say when they gave my mother and maid of honor a hard time about not wanting to complete the fittings after they flew into Ohio I was very upset. I would only recommend Brides to get their dresses their but not anyone else involved in the wedding.

The bride has been living overseas and only had two weeks to find a dress. Catan's entire staff was warm, pleasant, and reassuring that the bride would have a wonderful dress. I couldn't believe how beautiful and well fitted the dress was. The alterations were very well done. They have an amazing staff.

I was somewhat disapointed in my experience with Catan's. The dress I ended up picking was perfect and just so happened to be the one the woman that was helping us picked out! As soon as I told her what I was looking for, she said "I know exactly the dress" and she was right! However, when she took my measurements to decide what size dress to order, she marked me for a size 10. This didn't surprise me, as I have wider hips but a small bust/rib cage. When the dress came in I went to the first fitting and it was HUGE! It wouldn't even stay up on me without clipping it. Then they told me the MINIMUM cost for alterations there would be $450!!! I was so upset. I felt like the measurements they took on me were not accurate to use for the shape of the dress (A-line, sweetheart cut, not form fitting at all). I decided to take my dress to a small shoppe near my parent's house to have the alterations done and the woman there measured me again (mind you, I did not lose or gain a single pound since I ordered the dress!). She said based off of my measurements and the shape of the dress she would have ordered me a size 6!! Thankfully she was so great and able to handle the alterations for only $95--including taking 2 & 1/2 inches off of each side of the bust of the dress, adding cups, and even pressing/steaming & packaging the dress so it was ready for my wedding day. THANK GOD for this wonderful woman who works to see the smile on people's faces, not for the $$ that come along with the words "bridal." To this day, I still think Catan's coerced me into buying the bigger size dress in hopes that they could rip me off the $450 to have my alterations done there.

Catan's is absolutely a one stop shop for anything you need for your wedding! I loved the personalized service they gave me when shopping for my wedding dress. They were patient, and helpful when trying on different dresses making sure you found the perfect one. I was able to find the wedding dress of my dreams and was very happy when they measured me and put me into the correct size of dress. My dress fit like a glove and the only alterations I needed was my hem. Though I didn't have my alterations done there, I did have them iron my dress a couple of days before my wedding. I would definitely recommend them, for when you're ready to shop for your wedding dress.

Catan's gave me great shopping and bridal fitting service! The sales ladies helped me find the dress of my dreams and the seamstress made sure it fit me perfectly!

Catan Fashion have the most beautiful dresses and everybody that works there are so helpful and friendly. I'm so happy i found the dress off my dream's in this store.

I absolutely loved my wedding dress!!! They were very helpful when I was looking and helped me pick out the perfect dress. I also had my dress held and altered there. The alteration prices were a little high, but I had a very complicated dress with a bubble hem and it was asymetrical so it was worth it to me to pay for them to alter it. Everything was perfect and I didn't have any issues at all.

I purchased my dress and bridesmaids dresses here at Catans. I got a great deal, loved both purchases. The only issues I had with Catans was with the staff. I would recommend Catans because of their great selection, however just beware that it is hit or miss with the service.

We went to Catan Fashions because they have such a large selection. I was able to find my wedding dress at Catan's, and they did have several that I had chosen from magazines and such. However, there were several things that I had issues with regarding my exeperience with Catan Fashions. First, the girl who was always at the desk when were were there was always rude. Wedding dress shopping is supposed to be a happy experience and she brought it down every time. Second, the alterations package is ridiculously expensive and then they made us pay for the cups for the bust on top of what we were paying for the alterations. Third, the person who did my alterations (Olga) was late every time I had an appointment. I had asked during one of my appointments about pulling my dress up from the waist so it wouldn't ruin the beading at the bottom of my dress. She completely disregarded my concerns about the beading being ruined. Not only was it ruined in one place, but the bottom of my dress ripped in several places because the dress was not hemmed high enough...I was walking on it the entire night. Lastly, at my final fitting Olga was running late on her appointments and rushed the appointment. We baraly had time to actually look at the dress and make sure everything looked ok because she was taking me out of the dress almost immediately after I put it on. Catan Fashions does have a great selection, but I would not recommend getting alterations done there.

I found “the dress” at Catan’s. There are so many dresses to choose from it seems impossible someone could leave empty-handed. Additionally they gave me a $250 voucher to use on jewelry and my headpiece. It was definitely worth the three-hour drive. (I also got my prom dress there years ago.)

Catan's has an excellent selection of gowns in any price range. I brought in a few pictures and my consultant pulled those dresses for me to try. She also allowed my family and I to browse the racks of dresses. I'm glad she allowed us to do that because that is how we found my dress! After I selected my dress, the consultant took me to another room with "reception style" lighting, which allowed me to see how my dress sparkled in the dimmer light. It was a wonderful experience! When I went back after my dress came in, another consultant brought me a variety of headpieces, veils, and jewelry to try on. I was able to select my headpiece and veil that day. Also, for purchasing my dress at Catan's, I was given a $250 coupon towards jewelry, a headpiece, or a veil. This coupon allowed me to get an expensive headpiece for free! Without it I would probably have had to settle for something cheaper that wasn't perfect. Catan's really helped me to create the perfect look for my wedding day.

The entire Wedding dress - event from looking, picking, buying, and fitting was fun and eventful. It was like the TV show - "Say YES to the Dress" - Catans was enjoyable to work with and every detail was cared for. My bridemaids dresses were also purchased at Catans which was not as easy. since two of my girls were out of state the fiting/measuring process was hard. Every bridemaid dress came in on time but they were all way to large and had to be refitted. I guess that is better than to small. They did try very hard to match color and provided color swatches as needed.

Catan's has some of the best bridal dresses around! The amount of dresses they carry is unlike anywhere else. The quality of dresses they have is also amazing. The number 1 compliment I received on my wedding day was about my bridal gown. It was GORGEOUS!!! Sometimes the seamstresses come off as a little rude and short-tempered, but otherwise I had an amazing experience. Bindu was my consultant, and she nailed the appointment! The dress, emotions, everything. Every time I would go back for a fitting, I would find her to say hi, or come see my dress. She was wonderful. Thank you for the most beautiful dress ever!

It may very well be "America's largest bridal salon" as they advertize, but customer service is sorely lacking. When my daughter showed up for her first fitting, it turned out that they had ordered the wrong dress. Mistakes happen, we agree, but there's no excuse for rudeness. She was told that we should have known because we hadn't paid the right price. After trying on over 20 gowns at three different places, and being told about this discount and that rebate, who were we to say "I think you forgot to charge us $200 more?" Really? Come on.

Not only a very unprofessional comment on the owner's part, but downright mean to a young bride who was already devastated that it wasn't her dress. They did get the dress in a month before the wedding thanks to the events coordinator, and the seamstress was wonderful in getting in three fittings so the dress would be ready on time. But do you think they offered her a discount on her veil or hairpiece? Nothing, not a penny. So be sure to check your bill if you decide to shop there. And a last piece of advice: don't let them start you out in the couture room. You can find gowns just as beautiful in the main room for a lot less.

Our consultant was MIA pretty much the the whole appt. My bridesmaids were the ones tying the dresses on me. I did find my dress but went elsewhere for alterations

I purchased my wedding dress here & was very impressed. Originally, I made an appointment just to get an idea as to what I'd like because I would never be able to afford a dress from there. However, the day of my appointment was during a huge sale they were having!
My consultant suggested a dress for me and once I put it on, I knew! The fact that she could get a sense of my style & what I was looking for after knowing me for 15 minutes was impressive. She was very nice, respecful, and not pushy at all. And I love the store because it's intimate--not like David's when you reveal your dress to a bunch of other people next to a bride trying the exact same one on.

I had to plan my wedding from out of state, and that includes buying my gown! Catans worked with me on all the down to the wire fittings, I bought my dress in december 2010, then wasnt going to be back in Ohio until July 2011 for my first fitting, then not again until 2 weeks before my wedding in September. They assured me that they would have everything down on a short time frame, and they did! they're staff is good about taking their time with you when your picking out a dress as well! and dont forget they have a huge selection of dresses!

I found my wedding dress at Catan's and it was the most beautiful wedding dress I've ever seen! I usually do not like other people's wedding dresses, I mean I like it for them, but not for me. So when my mom and I started looking at wedding dresses I knew it was going to be tough! We went to two other stores before we drove out to Strongsville to Catan's. The first two stores were a bust!

At Catan's, you have your own private dressing room, which I loved! I hate how other places make you come out into this open area where everyone in the whole store is looking at you in a dress that doesn't fit right and you aren't sure if you like it or not. Catan's isn't like this, at least not for the brides, I think it is like that for bridesmaids and others.

Jela did my alterations and she is fiesty and awesome! She did a great job! I love my dress!!!

They are a one stop shop and the best in the business! They are tried and true with all of my family, and now for my wedding too! Everything from my dress to the wedding planning was completely perfect!!!!

I have a lovely friend who worked at Catan's, and she spent 4 hours with us finding the right dress! She helped me try on dress after dress until we narrowed it down to just a few. I wound up ordering my dress on my first visit! The dress arrived in almost perfect condition (had a few spots on the train), and I had it altered by a family friend. However, the consultant who worked with us when we picked up the dress was very unprofessional. She was slightly grumpy and left us to ourselves in the dressing room until a different consultant found us. Other than that, I enjoyed the experience!

Catan's was he first place I went to..and I bought the first dress I tried on. I did try on a ton of dresses, but went with the first. The service was great and I definitely felt pampered and was all about me! :) It was a pleasant experience and the dress was AFFORDABLE!!! :)

LADIES DO NOT GO TO CATANS!! I know it may be easy to go there bc it's a one stop shop, but after everything, going through that place was my biggest regret! First, the bridesmaid and alterations department was absolutely terrible!! The alterations department LOST one of my bridesmaids dresses 1MONTH before my wedding. IT took 3 days for the manager to get in contact with me about the situation, and I actually had to send an e-mail to the owner for her to call me back. During my conversation with the owner, her rudeness made me cry. At one point she told me "it was just one dress" and at another point she told me that I could just return all the dresses and then I would have nothing!
The bridesmaids department was so disorganized, and the women did a horrible job of measuring my girls. My one friend was told she needed a size 12 and she decided to get a size 8, and even the size 8 needed to be taken in. There are far to many clueless people that work there and I feel it's worth it to avoid the headache and go somewhere else. QUALITY is much better than QUANTITY!

I didn't give Catan's a great score for a couple of reasons but let me first start with what I did like about Catan's.....They do have an amazing selection of dresses in which the dress I picked out was fantastic and everyone comments on how beautiful I looked...Also, the ladies that helped me during my search for dresses were extremely helpful and kind.

That being said I had a couple of issues with their staff and also staff had communication problems with eachother. I don't live in Ohio (was just visiting my fiance's family for the week) when we decided to check out dresses. Well when I decided to go with my dress we told them that we would need it shipped to where I live since I don't live in Ohio. But they needed my fiance's mother to come in and make sure everything looks okay. They had my write down my address here. Well I call to talk about the fact that I need it shipped and their is all this mix up. Their always seemed to be a mix up between the dresses department and the shipping department. Every time I was trying to get everything straightened out I had to repeat that I don't live there I live in North Carolina. I have no clue why they couldn't understand that being that they asked me to write down my address here.

Also, the bridesmaids/prom department is the worst section. One lady working back there is unprofessional and I feel does not have any business being in the service industry. My bridesmaids (my sister-in-law who been to Catan's and had the same problem with this lady) asked her a simple question and this lady looked at her like she had 10 heads. All my bridesmaids asked was if we can see a catalog of this one designer. The lady looked at her like she was crazy and went along like she was never asked a question and continued to show us other dresses! Totally rude

We ordered my dress, as well as my bridesmaids' dresses from Catans. They were very professional and offered personal attention to each bride. I also had my alterations done through them and was very pleased. They are a little on the pricey side for alterations, however, definitely worth it in my opinion. My dress fit like a glove and looked amazing.

I worked with a girl named Tara who was amazing. I walked in having no idea what I wanted, but Tara took the time to figure it all out for me. I would definitely recommend working with her. When another lady took my measurements she did not measure correctly. My dress came in 2 sizes too big! I brought this to Tara's attention and she made sure that Catan's altered at no cost to me. Catan's has a large selection and their prices are reasonable.

Purchasing a bridal gown at Catan's was a bit of a highs and lows experience. Overall they were very nice and knowledgeable but after I ordered a dress they called two weeks later to say the could no longer sell that dress and I'd have to find a new one. I came back and they offered me a discount on dresses and alterations. The second appointment they were much less attentive but I did find a second dress. Alterations for me went well and my seamstress was great. My bridesmaid had her alterations done there and when she came in for the appointment they put her in a room, forgot about her and the seamstress when to lunch! Lots of highs and lows with Catans!

I can't stress enough not to go here. They ordered my dress incorrectly, lied about it, and offered me no apology. I found a dress I loved, only it came with a corset back and I wanted a zipper. They said the manufacturer didn't make a zipper and they would order a size bigger and charge me a hundred dollars to have their seamstress alter it (The manufacturer does make a zipper for no extra charge). I never received a call when my dress came in so I called, and they said it just came in that day (yeah right) and I asked them not to alter it to a zipper until I tried it on. They said they would never alter anything until after my dress inspection. When I went in for my first fitting I put on the dress expecting it to be a corset. However, it was a zipper back, and about 6 inches to small. I was very confused and asked the woman helping me why it wasn't a corset (I told her about the phone call I had made), she offered no apology and said that the manufacturer had made it with a zipper and that they had not altered it themselves. She then insinuated that I asked to order the wrong size (that didn't check out) she then said I gained weight and remeasured me saying I had gained a few inches (I was measured a 2 days later and my measurements were the same a when I originally ordered the dress). Still, without apologizing, she and another woman blamed it on the manufacturer's sizing and said they would send it back to the manufacturer, but they had to call on Monday because it was too late to call them that day (I had driven two hours and had to make a late appointment). I wanted to see what actually happened, so I called the next day hoping to talk to another employee, and was told again that it was the manufacturer's fault and they had called after I left and talked to them (the manufacturer was closed so they couldn't have called). This employee did apologize, and when I told her something seemed off, she offered to look into it. She called later that night saying that they had not ordered it a size larger like they should have, that their seamstress did alter it in the store after it came in with a corset (after I asked them not to), and asked me to take my money back. I did get my money back but not enough time to order the dress with a zipper before the wedding. Apparently they'd rather lie to make a few extra bucks than run a respectable business.

I bought my dress from them 16 years ago. They were amazaing. The bussling was expensive, but worth it!! You could see this elaborate design on the train perfectly when the dress was bussled and you couldn't see any of the hooks while it was down. I recommend that you do your research first. Be prepared!! Bring a couple of different bra options, especially if you are hard to fit. Bring your own shoes and bring some help. Dress shopping here is not for the faint of heart!! It can be extremely overwhelming. Bring pictures.

I got my wedding dress at Catan's after much searching for the perfect dress. I actually ended up with one that one of the consultants picked out for me. They were very helpful, although I am a size 12 and they kept pulling size 6 samples insisting that i could "squeeze" into them. They finally got the hint that I wouldn't even attempt it and eventually stopped bringing the smaller dresses to me. I was also surprised when they measured me, they had to recommend I get a size 16, but the sales woman flat out told me that if I ordered a size 12 I most likely wouldn't have to get any alterations. And she was right, I ordered a size 12 and it fit perfectly with no alterations. The only gripe I really have is that their alterations department was ridiculously expensive. Luckily I avoided paying $300 to bustle my dress and did it myself for about $5. Overall though the service was great, the selection was wonderful, and my dream dress was a lot cheaper than I thought it would be! Especially from Catan's!

My dress was lovely and there were a ton of dresses to choose from. The associate we worked with did a great job as well. I didn't have as great a time in the alterations department though. First off, their alterations are extremely overpriced and I should have taken it elsewhere. I was rushed through the appointments. And I was very dissatisfied with the way that my bustle turned out. It looked terrible.
Also, a few days before my wedding, I pulled out my veil to look at it and it was not the one that I ordered. It was the correct length & color, but I had paid extra for a gold edge to be put on it & it was not there. I should have looked when we left Catan's, but the lady had it all packaged for us, ready to leave. I called them and they told me that they didn't offer a gold edge on the veil I ordered. And that I didn't actually pay extra for anything. The extra $20 on my bill was something else entirely.
I was not entirely happy with them, but I still loved my dress. But that is much more thanks to miss Maggie Sottero =)

The staff was always nice and helpful. I found my dress the first trip there. The price was cheaper than I expected. My mother and mother in law both found beautiful dresses as well. I found just what I wanted for the bridesmaids and flower girl.

Found the designer I liked at that salon and called other salons where I found the same dress for $300 cheaper. I called Dreams to Realiteies in Medina.

"Meh" experience with Catan's. The dress-selection process was great, and that's where Catan's could have received a 5/5 from me for service. The associate working with us was very helpful, and I didn't feel a ton of pressure from her throughout the appointment.

However, the alterations department left a lot to be desired, service-wise. My mom and I decided to buy the alterations package for the ease and convenience, but in hindsight I wish we had taken the dress to another seamstress. The alterations woman I worked with rushed me through every. single. appointment. I understand they get backed up at times, but it is unacceptable for me to feel like I can't get an appropriate amount of time and attention from this woman. Beyond that, she HATED the fact that I wanted to remove the train from my dress. For God's sake, I just paid $$$ for this dress, let me do what I want with it! She made no effort in hiding how much she loathed having to cut it off. It was ridiculous! On my wedding day, the dress looked beautiful and I felt great in it, but the overall stress I had in dealing with Catan's wasn't worth it. I could have gotten the same results from another seamstress.

They were helpful from the moment I walked in the store to try on gowns to the second I carried my dress out the door. I purchased their alterations package when I purchased the dress and it was well worth it...I can't imagine what my alterations would have been without it! It fit like a second skin, but in the most perfect possible way! I would and do recommend them to any and everyone!

Their selection for plus size brides were limited, but I applaud them for having ANY plus sized dresses to try one. Most bridal salons have none. They at least have a plus sized section. They were a little bit pricey, but I only ended up buying my dress there but no accessories.

I had issues with ordering, but they were the fault of the designer not theirs. After 4 dresses being delivered at the fault of the designer, they gave me half priced alterations and a free bra, so at least they made up for it.

Catan's helped to provide the perfect dress for my wedding. They had a wide selection and the staff were very friendly and willing to help. The bridesmaids dresses came in fast and my wedding gown was perfect!

Catans were very efficient in trying to help the bridesmaids with their dresses, but no one asked who the bride was until WAY later. I needed an outfit, but I guess since I was old, they didn't think to ask me. I'm 59, second marriage & needed an appropriate dress. I had to shop on my own later, like 4 weeks later. I found a beautiful dress, Mother of the Bride for almost $1,000, which I thought was ridiculous, but I wanted it because it looked like a wedding dress. I bought another GOWN, which I said I wouldn't wear because of my age, but all the gowns I looked at were cheaper than my dress. Anyway, the gown was champagne & ivory, my colors, and the gown was ivory with gold scalloped threads thruout the whole dress. I wore the gown for the ceremony and the dress to sing to my groom (I Just Call You Mine, Martina Mcride). I would go back, they do have a great shop, a lot to choose from and friendly. I must have visited 5 or 6 times (sometimes with an appointment, sometimes not) before I made my mind up. They were extremely understanding and patient, and they gave me amazing service every time. I finally went back telling myself this would be the last time, and when I got there, the designer I was looking for had just arrived for a trunk sale. Surprise! I found THE dress, AND got 10% off! As for value, I had a modest budget and found several beautiful, very unique dresses (I wasn't a very traditional bride) for around a thousand or less. I was really pleased with the selection.

The only reason I don't give them 5 stars on everything: the dresses are a good value, but I found the alteration costs to be less than impressive. As for flexibility: I didn't realize until I picked the dress up, but I had to make a decision right then and there on whether I wanted to purchase an alterations package. Once I walked out of the store with the dress, I couldn't bring it back. Since my gown arrived months ahead of schedule, I hadn't priced out any other seamstresses yet, so I didn't know if it would be a good value to leave it or not. Ultimately, I had to take it home that day and find a salon in Rocky River.

I definitely recommend checking them out - it's a bit like the "Kleinfeld" experience on Say Yes to the Dress, but right here in NE Ohio.

I purchased a beautiful dress at a reasonable cost from Catan's Bridal. My experience trying on dresses was fantastic. The woman we worked with was patient with my indecisiveness and attentive in just the right way.

I had a great experience at Catan's. I looked for dresses in the Couture Department/Section, where they preceded to make me feel special and beautiful. The ladies there really knew the designers (I already knew I wanted an Alvina Valenta...oh, but which one, was the question!). They really sold me on a cathedral veil, which turned out gorgeous! Once purchased, they were very diligent in letting me know the next steps, alterations, etc. Olga was an exceptional seamstress, very precise. I completely trusted her with "the Dress" and my veil. Great place, even if overwhelming to walk into, they are very personable and professional at Catan's. They know their stuff!

Pretty much all of our wedding attire came from Catan Fashions including my wedding dress, veils, accessories, bridesmaids gowns (5) and our mother-of-the-bride dress. Clearly we were loyal customers. While Catan provided the styles and the dresses we wanted, the service left a little to be desired. The alterations ladies were not very friendly and rushed us through scheduling appointments (demanded that I had my first fitting 4 months before the wedding) and trying on the gown. I was charged a extra "special order fee" on shoes that they typically have in stock but didn't on the one day I was there to purchase them. And they wouldn't steam the bridesmaids dresses because we didn't purchase alterations (so we were being punished that all the dresses were ordered and fit correctly?) After spending thousands of dollars at the store it still seemed like they were squeezing us out for every dime we had. By the time my wedding came around I was really happy to not have to deal with anyone at Catan Fashions again!

I always said I'd never go to Catan's....too expensive, but as luck would have it, they were the only "loca" vendor to carry my designer's dresses....The price was OK...but the alteration package that we purchased at Catan's was HIGH....and to top it off, my alterations weren't that great. I specifically asked that my straps be taken in a bit more, they were loose when I put the gown on at my last fitting, and sure enough...she never did tack them up...so thankfully we had "hollywood tape" that helped keep them in place....but sure enough, in pictures you can see where they are buckeling from being too long...not a great look, but it is what it is....advise...DO A FINAL, FINAL FITTING BEFORE THEY PRESS THE DRESS!!!!!

I got my wedding dress at Catan Fashions and 2 of my bridesmaids got their dresses there as well. None of us had alterations done at the store since we all had seamstresses who charge much less. Everyone was great at the store they look at what you like and then have you look around the store the girls will pull dresses as well as let you pick out dresses you like. The help you figure out what looks good on you after you start trying on. They are also very knowledgable on most of the dresses and give suggestions for changing dresses such as added capped sleeves or a row of buttons. They are also very nice about explaining the size chart of the designer before they measure you and tell you what size you need to order since every designer has his own size chart. One of my bridesmaids dresses was sent wrong by the designer and Catan's took care of making sure a new dress came in on time.

I ordered my dress and all of the bridesmaid dresses from Catan's. They have a large selection and a knowledgeable staff. I am not too girly and did not know what I wanted at all, but the saleswoman helped me find a dress I absolutely loved. I really liked that all of the bridesmaids could go online to their website and place their dress order- my bridesmaids were scattered all over the country and this was very helpful to us. I would not recommend having your alterations done here. They are super, super, super expensive- expect to pay $400ish for basic things like hemming, darts, and bustle. I did not have mine done here because a friend of mine did and her dress came back too small (even though it fit her to begin with and she did not gain any weight) and they refused to fix it. She had to take it to another seamstress (who only charged a fraction of what Catan's charged her to mess it up). Still, that is a friend's experience and not mine. I was satisfied overall with my purchase.

Throughout the visits to Catan's for shopping and dress fittings, the service provided by the staff has been inconsistent. Some of the employees are extremely helpful and of tremendous service, while others act cold and disinterested. However, their wide selection can't be beat, and they provide a large range of wedding needs, including accessories and bridal party outfits.

I purchased my wedding gown from Catan's. My experience there was wonderful. My first trip in went very well--so well in fact that I found my wedding dress! My coordinator helped me & my mom look through the thousands of dresses they had and pulled ones with the sleek profile I was looking for. She also let me puruse the Couture sections even though she knew everything in there was out of the budget! After trying on a few dresses that I had approved and coming up short, my coordinator gave me one that wasn't exactly what I was looking for in texture, but told me to try it--it ended up being the ONE! She then moved me to one of the Couture dressing rooms to have a more glamorous feel and picked the most perfect veil for the dress that I ended up purchasing.

When my dress came about 6-8 months later, it fit perfectly due to the great measurment taking skills of my coordinator! The dress company, Allure, made my dress to fit my measurements--so it needed zero alterations when it arrived! All it needed was a bustle!

During the wait period while the dress was being made, I emailed photos of potential shoe options to my coordinator. She offered her opinion on looks, comfort, and wearability. In the end, she told me one pair would look perfect and match perfectly but that the rhinestones may catch on the overlay of the dress. She told me to go with them anyway and to be careful. I ended up buying the shoes and they were perfect! They did catch on the overlay until it was bustled up and then it was smooth dancing the rest of the night :)

I felt like royalty at Catan's and I loved the experience I had there.
I don't see how any bride could leave there empty handed, they have the largest selection of dresses in the US and prices for every budget! I loved it!
I also found my flower girl dress there, they have a huge bridesmaids, mother's, and flower girl section, as well as prom.

While I love my dress and the first girl that helped me pick it out. Catan's failed along the way. When we came in for the inspection of the dress, there was no one to help, same when we looked at bridesmaids no one was available to help you. The alterations department was great, My dress turned out perfect.

All in all, they were good, but I later discovered cheaper places. I do have to go back to the fact that they were overpriced, especially the alternation package which cost me an additional $500. My dress was $440 but I did find for $375 at another location several weeks later. They were, however, very professional and responsive. Also, it is a great one-stop shop - albeit expensive. You could get veils, shoes, clothes for bridesmaid (they have their own section at the store), clothes for children, clothes for mothers of bride/groom, shoes (limited selection), and undergarments (limited selection. Another part of store provides tuxes for the guys. I loved that...a lot, but you do pay for such convenience.

Worst place! The whole place looks disorganized and cluttered. The dresses only come in one size to try on. Every dress I tried on was way too big and I couldn't see how the dress actually fit and looked. When I did find a dress I liked I started the process with the girl to order it. She told me every dress was made to order, but the standard height was an average height of 5'11" (What 'average' height is she talking about!?). Since I am 4'11" the alterations were going to cost an additional $500 to accomodate, even though every dress was made to order. I ended up not getting my dress with Catan's and couldn't be happier!
I also know a girl who got a call 3 weeks before her wedding telling her they ordered the wrong dress and there was no way of getting it in on time and that she needed to get another dress.

I personally have never been to Catan's bridal but I am going this weekend for a bridal show. I have heard nothing but great things about Catan's. From the wedding gowns to the bridemaids dresses, you will find something you like. I was on their website and saw alot of dresses I liked. I know that Catan's will exceed my expectations on Saturday. I cannot wait until Saturday.

I really like the selection they have. price is a little much but worth it

Catan's has a great selection of dresses for the whole female bridal party and a tuxedo place too. My daughter bought her wedding dress there and while we loved the dres and the service was good the alteration cost was very high. We also found the bridesmaid dresses to be pricier there.

I had a great experience with Catan's while getting my dress...they were very attentive and helpful in the entire process.

The alterations were very expensive, but knowing that they had experience, we went with them and felt it was well worth it.

However, I noticed on my wedding day that there was a blood stain on my dress. Luckily, my dress had rouging and was able to be pinned up to cover the stain. Unfortunately, I contacted them by e-mail twice after the wedding to ask if anything could be done (monetary compensation, dry cleaning services, etc.) and have not received any response.

I did, otherwise, have a GREAT experience with them, and I don't want to discount that...but it's been very frustrating not even receiving an acknowledgment e-mail back saying they received my e-mail.

This bridal store bent over backward to give me what I wanted! They ere very professional and tried everything in there power to find me the perfect dress. I went in there about 2 weeks before my wedding and pulled a lot of strings for me to have my perfect dress and veil. The seamstress even worked very hard to have my dress ready in time. Very friendly people and very dedicated to their jobs. They will do anything for you if it is within their limits. I would recommend them to anyone!

Catan's is great. They have a large selection and the staff is very knowledgable.

Catans is great for their wide variety. I would recommend NOT allowing them to do your alterations however. My sister had my nieces dress altered there, and they charged her more for the alterations, than we paid for the dress (it was over $100) and my niece is 4. I also ran into some problems with the seamstress who did my dress. I paid $400 for the alterations, and it wasn't even done right. My dress was dragging on the ground all night. For that price, I would expect my dress to have been lined in gold and not too long. All in all though, the service was fine and the selection cant be beat.

Catan Fashions did a beautiful job on my dress. My dress was gorgous and I absolutely love it. The staff is so friendly and really took care of me. I also got my bridesmaid dresses here and they were beautiful also. The only problem we had was one of my girls didn't fit very well when it came in. But we worked it out and everything was beautiful. I would recommend any bride to use Catan's.

Very Very good to us. They ordered my dress in the wrong size and got a new one in just a few weeks and paid for the allterations! Treated us well!

They have a huge selection to choose from. It was nice to find styles that weren't the typical a-line dress. Just make sure you have plenty of time to order the dress. They can sometimes give you a bit of a looked down upon attitude if you are ordering your dress too close to the wedding. Other than that, they we're great.

I purchased my gown, slip, veil, shoes, and bridesmaids dresses at Catan's. It was so easy to do everything in one place and they have a huge selection. Everyone who works there is very helpful. I also had my dress altered, bustlled, and pressed there and though it was expensive they did a beautiful job. Everything came in on time, was the correct order, and there were no issues. The store is a Bridal dream, I recommend them highly!

I didn't even end up using this vendor, but felt the need to write a review anyway, because the service was that impressive. It just so happened that the dress that was made for me was at another store, and it really made me sad not to be able to buy from Pat Catan's. My runner up dress was here, and they have more options than any other place I went. There dresses are gorgeous, and each one is unique. I even came in right before closing, and they were still so helpful! I highly recommend buying your dress here. Even if you are not in the area, it is worth the drive. I promise no one else has a bigger selection of gorgeous dresses in all price ranges, or better service.

Catan Fashions is seriously a one-stop bridal shop. I was able to find my dress, shoes, veil, blusher and headpiece there and would have gotten my bridesmaid dresses there too but was unable to make the 2 hour trip to Cleveland with any of my bridesmaids. I felt as though I got a great wedding ensamble for the price adn the service was very good. The alterations were perfect (I'm a pretty short girl and know a decent hemline when I see it, the seamstresses at Catan's are professionals) and they have such a wide variety of dresses, shoes and veils that it wasn't hard to find items that matches for a perfect look. I would definitely recommend them.

They were very slow and a little unorganized, but they have the widest selection in the area and all of my maids got their dresses. The downside was that every single one of them had to be altered.

The people who work there are wonderful, the alterations are perfect! Both my mom and my husbands mom found beautiful dresses there as well. There are times when the place is VERY busy, you may have to wait in line on busy Saturdays and Sundays.

My experience was overall pretty positive, but they are so busy that it is sometimes difficult to get a questions answered or a phone call returned.

The dress buying experience was fabulous! The Couture section staff are just amazing - they weren't pushy or "salesy", unlike other boutiques I had been to. They were patient, willing to work with you on anything you needed and had great advice/suggestions.

The only draw back was working with the seamstress, she had a hard time working around my schedule. I was living in L.A. up until the wedding and needed someone to be flexible when it came to fitting appointments. She also was unable to give me proper advice when it came to my dress and the appropriate undergarments for the dress.

Brenda Kucinski was THE BEST!!!! I don't know what I would have done without her. I really only wanted to use her for the day or coordination so that I would not have to worry about the details but as I got closer & closer to my wedding, she became more & more helpful, especially since I was planning in Ohio from Texas! Brenda fixed problems before I even knew there was one. She was so great & had so many great ideas & advice in general. At one point, I started to have a stress breakdown & she was there to help reassure me & calm me down only a few days before the wedding. She was truly a godsend on my wedding day. WELL WORTH IT & great prices.

I live out of state and had found my bridal gown at another store (out of town). I wanted to order from the same store that would be taking care of my alterations and close to my parent's house in Cleveland where I would be staying when I was in town for wedding planning visits. Catan's did not intend to carry the actual dress I fell in love with but they did order the dress for me and it arrived in plenty of time for the wedding. The alterations I needed were minimal but they were fast and professional. I also purchased my bridesmaid dresses at Catan's. The price was very reasonable (in comparison to others) and they gave a discount because I had purchased my gown from the store.

I LOVE CATAN'S!!!!! They had such a wide variety of dresses. I brought in pictures from magazines and they had every one of those dresses! I was referred by two different people and I have referred people as well!

I grew up buying dresses for all occasions here. So when it was time to get married, of course I went here. They have a huge selection of every kind of dress you can imagine. Love this place! Lots of mother of the bride dresses too!

I loved my dress. They took a lot of time with me when deciding. I had an awesome seamstress to do my fitting. The dress turned out beautiful and looked phenomenal with the veil.

I would not recommend Catan's to anyone! They were very rude and unprofessional from the beginning. The day I ordered my dress their computer systems were down, so we left our credit card number with them and we were told that they would order the dress as soon as their systems came back up and they would call and let us know. When I picked out my dress they told me that they were discontinuing that designer but they could still order the dress for me since they hadn't done it yet. After a week and a half with no response I called them, the woman on the phone asked for my name and the dress that I was ordering. When I told her which dress she told me that the dress had been discontinued and they could not order it and that they did not have my credit card or any information on file and she told me that I must have had it wrong. So after arguing with 2 managers they finally ordered the dress. We also got the bridesmaid dresses from them and had issues with that as well. The best experience we had was with the seamstress for my dress. My sister had her dress altered there and it was a total mess, we had to take it back to them 3 times and it still looked bad.

We bought my wedding dress, veil and mother's dress at Catans. The best thing is the variety. There are a lot of options to choose from. My mother was 100% pleased with her service and her dress. I felt like they kept bringing me dresses to try on that were out of my budget, even though I was clear about how much I wanted to spend. I ended up spending $500 more than planned. I also didn't like my veil. I felt like I was pushed into buying one (I didn't want one to being with) and then I what I got was stiff and looked horrible in the photos. Overall, I would recommend taking a look around, but don't let it be the only place you go.

I thought the set up at Catan's was wonderful. I had a great experience with picking out my dress and placing the order. My bridesmaids experience was a different story. The dress ordering was okay but when the dresses came in they were ragidy, and falling apart. We didn't use their alteration department due to people living in different cities. Catan's was unwilling to work with me on getting my girls money back for the dresses. You had to have an appointment or you would just get ignored.

Brides maides dresses were purchased here and they had a very large selection to choose from. The fittings were easy and fast and the staff was friendly. Some of the racks were a little crowded and lighting was low. Otherwise, the dressed were great.

Loved the simplicity and elegance of my Vera Wang...although this line is no longer carried at the store, the customer service is still great.
