Catherine Simms Bridal

This was the most ridiculous bridal shop I've ever seen. My bridesmaids got their dresses from here and I wish they hadn't. It took almost 6 months for the dresses to come in, when they did, my matron of honors was too big. The shop was then arguing with her about the size and blaming it on the designer, Bill Levkoff. Anyway, my sister in law basically had to MAKE them do her alterations for free because the dress was 4 sizes too big. They then charged her $175 for her daughters alterations and her dress originally cost $120. How does that work? Are they making her a new dress? They never respond to phone calls, emails, nothing. The owner is too busy going on her vacations to care about her customers. Greater part was finding CAT HAIR all over my nieces dress the day of the wedding when it was taken out of the bag the shop put it in. Oh yeah, they had a CAT in the bridal shop. So disgusting. That place was awful.

The bridesmaids and I fell in love with the bridesmaids dresses at Catherine Simms. First of all, they had numerous dresses featuring so many different styles. I was shocked at just how many dresses they had in the store for the girls to try on. Secondly, we received incredible service. Jessica helped us decide on a dress and made the ordering process simple, especially considering that the maid of honor lives in Montana. I wish I had found this store sooner!! Finally, I also ordered the bridesmaids each a necklace through Catherine Simms. They had some in the store to look at, but they also went through a catalogue with me of different options. They had exactly what I was looking for at a price that was significantly less that I had even hoped for. I would HIGHLY recommend this store to anyone looking for a bridal gown or bridesmaid dresses.

I am not a tiny person and shopping for a wedding dress was nerve racking. Jessica made me feel so comfortable. She helps you into the dress which makes you look and feel amazing. Many places will let you fend for yourself and it is very deflating for your self esteem.
I chose a very low cut dress but the tailor was able to fashion a seamless piece of lace to make the dress more flattering, and no could even tell it was "after market" neckline. PERFECT! Also, great selection of wedding and bridesmaid dresses.

I had an EXCELLENT experience at this store and would highly recommend a visit to any bride looking for her dress or bridesmaids/mother of the bride or groom. While I ended up getting my dress elsewhere, it was a hard choice because I really loved several dresses at Catherine Simms and I absolutely LOVED the service and ladies who work there. I've used them for bridesmaid dresses for wedding I've been in and I have friends who have gotten their wedding dresses there and everyone agrees, this is an excellent shop! Their prices are reasonable and there selections is great. They also have in house alterations and they can do just about anything to make the dress your own!

Great people! I went to a few other places before them, including the horrendous House of Brides, and they impressed me much more than anyone else. I was the first one to try on my dress (and they called me when they got it in the store in my size), and I ordered it that day. They kept on top of appointments, and were so helpful in choosing, and accessorizing. When I lost 40+ lbs before my wedding, their wonderful tailor took in a lot of my dress, and made it look just like it came that way. I work until late, two hours from their shop, and they made it so I was able to get a later appointment on a day convenient for me. They were prompt, not overpriced, and wonderful, wonderful ladies to work with. I love independent shops, and this one just continued to impress me.

Catherine Simms has a good selection of gowns and worked with me to find a seamstress who would be able to alter my dress when their in-house seamstress was out of the country.

I absolutely LOVED my dress! It was the very first wedding dress that I had tried and was not even one that I had picked out!!! The sales associate that we worked with (Jessica- LOVE HER) insisted that I try it on, at first I was just so-so on the dress but when she added the rhinestone belt...WOW! We went to 2 other shops that day to make sure, but returned to Catherine Simms because I continued to compare every dress that to that first one! We ordered my dress a year before the wedding date and I was able to have 3 fittings before the wedding day. The value at Catherine Simms is unbeatable. We checked out several bridal shops and they had the best quality for the price! Their seamstress, Violet, is a miracle worker. I could not believe how she was able to get the dress to fit so perfectly and she was able to attach the belt, so it became part of the dress!
My sister also got her dress from Catherine Simms- and they were able to sell to her off the rack sense she had a short plan time of just 9 weeks! They are so flexible and caring to their customers. 5 Stars for Catherine Simms!!!

I love Catherine Simms Bridal! My bridesmaids purchased their Bill Levkoff dresses there for my wedding in September 2011, and we all had a great experience. I originally went in by myself to look at dresses for my bridesmaids, and the salesperson Jessica was extremely friendly, gave honest me honest opinions and suggestions, and even helped me find the bridesmaid dress that I saw online and thought would be perfect, which ended up being the dress we chose. I called about 6 or 7 other bridal shops to compare prices, and Catherine Simms had the best price by at least $30 (even more at some shops) for this bridesmaid dress. Jessica was great through the ordering and alterations processes, and she always made me feel welcome when I stopped in the shop with questions or concerns. The dresses turned out beautifully, and my bridesmaids looked wonderful on the wedding day. Definitely visit Catherine Simms if you are looking for a wedding gown or bridesmaid dresses - it is a wonderful shop with a nice selection, friendly salespeople and great prices!

Catherine Simms made my dress dreams come true. They were one of the only places that sell Midgley and Sottero, I had tried on the Adorae dress at another salon and knew I wanted it. They ordered it to their store for me and gave me a better deal! Jessica was wonderful and so helpful. I loved my bridesmaid dresses too. They were beautiful and well priced. My only reason for my giving a full 5 is because the alterations were very expensive and when I got there to pcik up my dress they forgot to steam my veil. Other than that- everything worked out really well. They have a beautiful new store and I would highly recommend my friends to go there!

Catherine Simms Bridal is a gem of a boutique that gets lost in the vast array of shopping centers along the Rt. 59 corridore. This was our last stop of 3 salons (in one day) and it was just perfect. The assortment of dresses is large for a small store and they were very aware of sizing. It was the first place where I could fit into each of the dresses and zip them up. They cater to everyday, average sized brides - most dresses were a 10 or 12. It's a breath of fresh air from the designer salons that only carry size 6. I found THE dress and loved it so much!

I did my alterations through this salon and the quality and value were great - timing was also fantastic - everything was done in a week.

Although we didn't get bridal party dresses here they do have a big selection of brands and I would reccomend making this your one-stop destination for all the girls dresses.

I ordered my bridesmaid dresses from this shop in Naperville. The quality of the dresses was totally inconsistent. One dress came out perfectly fine, but two dresses had major flaws. They were ruched dresses, and the fabric was not tacked properly. When my maid of honor put her dress on, the ruching stuck out like fins - she is a skinny girl who weighs under 90lbs. When I called the shop and spoke to them about this, they assured me they would contact their vendor, and give me a response. No one from Catherine Simms ever called me back. Nor did they do anything to help the situation. I ended up having to pay to get everything fixed on the dresses a week before the wedding.

My dress was beautiful, but the alterations was a little expensive.

After having not so great experiences dress shopping and knowing I didn't want to go to a chain store like David's Bridal I was starting to lose hope till I ran across this awesome store! I didnt even make an appointment and they welcomed me in like I had! I have nothing but good things to say about them and they were so helpful and great with everything! I even needed a dress faster than usual, we moved our date up 6 months, and they were able to do that with a designer dress no problem and even had time for alterations!! Alterations were kinda expensive though because I didnt need alot done but still felt they were pricey for what was altered but other than that the whole experience was so awesome and the staff really makes you feel like your wedding is special!! I even found the dress for a cheaper price at a different store and they matched it!! I knew I wanted to buy from them, they very much deserved my sale and made wedding planning easier!! I have recommend this place to several friends and family and will continue to do so!! I felt so beautiful on my wedding day and got so many compliments!

I found Catherine Simms online, searching for a specific dress. I went there and showed the pictures of what I was looking for, and they had THE DRESS at thier fingertips. I was able to try it on, make changes that they were already familar with, and have it all for the price we wanted. The only issue I had was it was farther than I would have wanted to dirve, but well worth it! I wish I had a reason to wear my dress again!! Dana was a doll- they were all very sweet and helpful.

They worked well with me, but I felt pressured to purchase jewelry there (which I did not do). Otherwise, they were very helpful.

Catherine Simms has a bunch of extremely nice and helpful women that want to find the best dress for their clients. I worked with 2 women in particular that were so helpful the many times I came back to try on dresses, pick out accessories, have the dress altered and bustled, etc. They were always willing to help in any way and were just so nice and friendly.

We got my bridal gown from Catherine Simms after looking at what felt like 1,000 places. I was in the store for only 10 minutes and found the perfect gown. The girls that work there were great. They got me in the dress, went over the colors that it comes in, and pinned it up so I could see exactly how it would look. Once I ordered the dress they called every week to give me an update on the status of the gown. The gown came in and it looked even beter in white than I thought it would be. Then it came time to get the dress altered. The girl that did the alterations was my new best friend. She had so many different ideas of how to bustle it, and helped me to pick out some of the jewerly and my head peice. The people there were so helpful. Anyone looking for a gown should check them out. Its well worth it.

Excellent - seamstress and staff is wonderful. They were the only place that did not push me and had more than just size 0 and 2 for me to try on. They even provided tips for me on how to save $$ on the dress.

I was overall happy with Catherine Simms Bridal. I bought my dress (a Demetrios) there because 1. they had it and 2. they had it for a good price. It took absolutely forever for the dress to come in, so thank god I ordered it over a year in advance of the wedding. However, they told me the reason it took so long was because of the manufacturer, not the store, which seems likely. I had my alterations done there as well, and it was ok. I felt she should have made my hem shorter (I was tripping on it all day) and the bustle was not too sturdy (it was really falling out a lot at the reception), but everything else was fine.
