Our experience at baby boomers was way above par. All of her vendors are top notch, yet down to earth and extremely flexible. Our wedding was on Oct. 1st and the weather was rainy and cold. We ended up having our ceremony in the reception hall and it was beautiful and MORE than i could have expected. I received Thank Yous from some of our guests just for simply inviting them to our wedding! The food was amazing! I am still hearing about it. Lynn and her assistant Lane made EVERYTHING stress-free! All of our guests were very pleased, children were occupied and out of the way, and I cant say enough about Baby Boomers and I strongly recommend it to any family,friend, or stranger.

Lynn, your staff, and all of your vendors are all VERY Amazing people for starters. My husband and I were married at this facility on 9/3/2011, it was a very humid and hot day but our pictures turned out amazing not even one spot of sweat on our faces. The food, decorations, pictures,video, bar staff everything and everyone was very great. Everything was pretty much on time and went very very smooth. I know I had no stresses that day from worrying about anything because it all fell right into place as I had dreamed of when I was a little girl. This was a fairy tale wedding for me and I know that I could not have had that anywhere else. All staff and Lynn went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure that myself and my husband were happy. I have already recommended this facility to two people at my work that are looking to get married next year and I will continue to recommend this place. I could have never of got what I got from Baby Boomers anywhere else. Lynn is a very wonderful person and to any bride looking for someone to stand by your side and help you threw anything this woman is the one you want to be on your right side and Laine Lynn's floor manager another outstanding person she went above and beyond to make sure I saw a butterfly that day...Long story behind why but know that this woman made sure come anything I saw my butterfly on that Saturday . Everyone of these people that work with or work for Lynn are awesome people and I could never thank any of them enough. So to any bride looking for a fairly tale wedding that one you dreamed about your whole life growing up these people can make it happen

Lynn is nice in the beginning. Then once we received our final bill which was incorrect and way over things went downhill. She fixed the bill stating she had 3 different contracts and the most updated had the incorrect price per head. Move in was stressful no one seemed to remember my number of chairs per table AND I used her updated seating chart knowing 22 tables would put the buffet tables is the back and not on the dance floor like I the bride wanted. Move in day and the buffet was on the dance floor!!! She claimed things looked better regardless of the seating chart that states 22 tables buffet in the back. The day of the reception we weren't announced in until 540pm almost 30 minutes past our scheduled time! I emailed a playlist that was barely used including our entrance music!! Plus the food was great we did package 6 but she gave a 5 minute intro for the caterer!! No other wedding reception does that.. I doubt "chef" needs the advertising. The biggest thing was none of our meaningful dollar dance or last dance songs were played :( Lynn had a piece of tablet paper she doodled notes on from my email!!! Instead for the money dance she played slow slow songs and was asked to play our music she switched to some Latino island mix., it wad basically lynn's show. We discussed we didn't want chicken dance or YMCA and guess what the last song was....YMCA! The guests had fun, but as for me the bride and my husband it was a stressful mess.

Lynn is just amazing! My husband and I couldn't ask for a better wedding planner! She helped me pick everything out from where to get my music from to making sure I had a fitting and hair rehearsal haha. I had my own room with my bridesmaids to change and my groom and his men had their own bar room to change and relax. The staff was just wonderful. Everything was set up for move-in day and ready to decorate. We didn't do alot of decorating, we hired her decorator (Andrea) and it was just perfect! Talk about stress free. The photographer was on time and I love the pictures! The caterer (Chef Mitch) that she uses is a famous chef who has cooked for rap artists! His food was amazing and all my guests raved about it! The bartenders did a great job serving and the staff made sure all our tables were cleared and not stacked with dirty plates and cups all night. The floor manager Laine is wonderful. She was so helpful making sure everything ran smoothly. Her and Lynn make a wonderful team and if I had to do it all over again I would totally pick Baby Boomers!

Overall, our wedding reception at BB was fun and stress-free. However, the venue could use some updating to the decor and structure. The wedding reception packages offer great flexibility for any couple's budget. The videographer that was included as part of the reception package was an amateur and our wedding ceremony and reception videos were not what we were anticipating. Had we known the videographer was not a professional, we would have insisted that another videographer be used for our wedding. The reception video was approximately less than an hour long for a 5 hour reception.
The staff at BB are extremely helpful during the reception. The owner is enthusiastic about her venue, but on several occasions, we had issues with communication (ie. wrong meeting dates, delayed response, etc.).
We would recommend BB. The outside venue area is nice for photos.

Baby Boomers Celebration Hall was an amazing place to have our wedding ceremony and reception. Everything was beautiful and perfect. I have already reccommended Baby Boomers to my friends and family with upcoming weddings.

no attention to detail, late after dinner music (over an hour late)we were to have three hours of music after dinner and had approx 2 hours or less. Most of the guest left before the music began, did not make sure my florist set the correct flowers on the cake table, did not light table candles when there were three on each table, did not make certain the cake table had the agreed lighting and set up by florist, did not direct the outside performer as to when to begin the entertainment, the venue is a wedding venue and there are sports memorabilia in the bar area. garter and bouquet toss were done very late into the evening. The outside performer was told to arrive an hour later and perform an hour later than he was suppose to and had it not been for me, that would have been messed up as well. I would not recommend this venue to anyone

My husband and I are from out of town - Altoona being our home town. Trying to plan a wedding 4+ hours away is difficult for any couple. Lynn was extremely helpful - letting us be involved as much or little as we wanted. There were some things we wanted to do completely on our own, and she respected that. Other things, we wanted, but didn't want to deal with, so she took care of it. Extremely helpful, and made sure everything went exactly as we wished. As my profession, I work in the wedding business, and Lynn did as great of a job as any wedding planner, especially with her attention to detail.

cant comment on quality of service but was planning a wedding. and booked for only 2.5 months with a 900 deposit. well things went bad and had to cancel. though in the contract deposit is nonrefundable. lynn was unwilling to to be fair and with a full years notice refused to even consider any percentage of refund. though legal very unfair not the way to run a business....she is nice at first but look out if you have a disagreement...this review is just my opinion, thanks

This place is perfect for the bride who doesn't want to search for a bunch of different vendors and has time restrictions. When you book at Baby Boomers, you basically get everything done for you! Their packaged reception includes: the hall, DJ, photographer, videographer, food, bartender, linens, decorations, flowers, cake, wedding planning, and overall peace of mind. They use the same vendors on a regular basis, so everything goes off without a hitch. You supply your own alcohol, which is great because you can choose your own brands and it is much more cost effective versus a per person fee. There is a beautiful pond behind the hall which is perfect for pictures!
The one downside is the long and curvy road to get there. However, we used a local school bus to shuttle our guests to make this a non-issue.
Overall great value, and I would recommend it to anyone!! Lynn, the owner & DJ was a pleasure to work with!

We found everyone involved with Babyboomers to be very helpful & Lynn was just so much fun to work with. She seemed to really enjoy our wedding as much as we did.




This place is nice because they provide their own catering. However, you have to use their own alcohol and can't bring your own, it's much more expensive. Also, at first the people weren't that friendly. However, it's a nice hassle free location that does pretty much all you want.

My husband and I were married at Baby Boomers on June 7, 2008. We had a wonderful experience. Our outdoor wedding was incredibly beautiful. The reception was a blast. Planning with the event coordinator was so nice. At Baby Boomers you get an all inclusive wedding and everything is planned to a tee! All went as planned. I would recommend Baby Boomers to anyone! Excellent service and fairy tale weddings! Loved it there!

About Baby Boomers Celebration Hall
Our facility holds from 100 to 225 in air-conditioned comfort. Our Bar is 40 feet long and is quite the conversation-piece, with sports memorabilia lining the walls. The dance floor is wood with a built-in DJ Booth, lights and projector for a club feel. We use round tables with white linens and china service. Our package meals are buffet-style, but sit-down can be added for $2 pp. Our in-house Caterer boasts an experienced Cordon-Blue Chef. The food and presentation are fabulous.
We give our Brides one hour for the Wedding and 5 hours for the Reception. This gives guests a longer cocktail time while the Bridal party is getting their pictures done.
