We looked for the perfect place for our wedding reception. We wanted something close, convenient, and near the beach so we could walk to view the sunset.
When we checked on Haley’s new banquet room, it was not finished; however, Tom and Carol said they would work to get it completed by our wedding date. AND, they did!
We had an awesome reception on our wedding day. There was a bar set up on the patio in the back and we started with hors d’oeuvres outside. Then we had a full course meal in the banquet room. The caterer served soup, salad, entrée and wedding cake. After dinner we walked to the beach and returned to a cleared room and danced to a rock band.
We had some special pictures taken in the orchid garden; and it provided a really nice space for guests to relax. We had another special picture taken of us and all our guests on the patio, from the master bedroom suite balcony. The outside plantings and gardens put you in a tropical oasis. The inside could be decorated in just about any motif; we used a tropical theme of sunsets and beaches.
We reserved the rooms upstairs for some extra guests and ourselves on our wedding night. It was great to not have to drive anywhere until the next morning! We had out of town guests that stayed in other parts of the resort.
We would definitely recommend Haley’s Motel and Resort for a small wedding. We ended up having about 56 people attend our special occasion and we feel everyone had a great time!
We thank Tom and Carol for completing their banquet building for our wedding day. It’s a wonderful Anna Maria Island place to celebrate!
