Louis was a great registrar and performed our renewal of vows ceremony wonderfully. The communication prior to the service was good and prompt and the cost itself was great value. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Louis's services to anyone looking for a wedding officiant in Quebec!

We live in Australia so I spent most of the time communicating with Louis via email. He was very responsiveness and would remind us to submit documents so we never had to worry about documentation work for having a civil union in Quebec City.

He was very flexible in terms of the location we picked to have our ceremony. We wanted to have it at the Bistro where my husband and I first dated, and Louis was very accommodating and delivered a wonderful service on the day. He also read our ceremony reading for us!

Louis is a wonderful celebrant. He's organised, energetic, friendly and smiles all the time. His service is definitely value for money and I would recommend him to anyone wishing to have a ceremony in Quebec.

We had decided to get married in Quebec City and since we were travelling from Ontario we required a lot of help planning over email/Internet etc. with Louis advice we had our ceremony at a beautiful park in the city and the day was perfect and our pictures turned out beautifully. Our wedding was officiated by Rev. Dr Louis LaFrance in Quebec City, his attention and service was superb. We worked with him long distance from Virginia, U.S and his service fee covered all the legal transactions required in the Providence of Quebec including performing the ceremony, so we were happy that we did not have to deal with legal aspect of the wedding. He took care of both the religious and legal aspect for us.

Dr. LaFrance was attentive from the moment we made contact, first via email and then through phone conversations. He answered all our questions and we scheduled a day he was available then contacted the venue for that day. Our wedding was perfect and Dr. LaFrance gave it the spiritual touch. The wedding felt as though it was being given by a family friend rather than someone we were meeting from for the first time. This allowed us to feel relaxed and allowed our moment to be filled with joy and laughter.

Dr. LaFrance speaks three languages, French, English, Spanish. We did request the official wedding ceremony in English. After the wedding Ceremony he sat down with us and had dinner, he was able to carry conversation with our guess in English and Spanish. He gave tips on places to eat in Quebec and was extremely friendly and kind to all of our family members including our niece who was 9 years old and asked him, ‘Have you ever cried during a wedding that you were in?’ We all laughed and thought the question was very thoughtful and he answered in this way, ‘ I get extremely moved when I see couples cry to the point that my eyes get watery too.’

If you are looking for that close and spiritual feeling from a minister, one where a minester will work with you and make the day about your moment and less about anything else, I would highly recommend LaFrance. When and if we decide to have another ceremony to renew our vows we will be returning to see Rev LaFrance.

We would recommend Rev. Dr Louis Lafrance to anyone looking for a wedding officiant. We contacted Louis Lafrance several months before our wedding to secure his services. He stayed in contact with us throughout the build up to the wedding and provided us with all the information we needed. He also worked with us to create a unique wedding script.

The day before our wedding was scheduled to take place, we realized we had to push the wedding date back because bad weather had delayed our wedding party's flight. We called Louis Lafrance that night, hoping that he could somehow still officiate our delayed wedding a day later. He was kind and understanding during this phone call, and even though he already had two weddings planned for that day, he agreed to officiate our delayed wedding at no extra charge.

A day later, Louis Lafrance presided over our beautiful wedding ceremony at the Pierre Dugua des Mons Terrasse. It was romantic and intimate, with a French touch; exactly what we wanted.

We chose a nonreligious ceremony that included an exchange of roses, and it was beautiful.

We decided to get married in Quebec City, a city that neither my spouse nor I had ever been to. We were VERY fortunate to get in contact with Rev. Louis Lafrance. Being from the US, the Quebec marriage laws/process was rather foreign and complex to us, but Rev. Lafrance made the whole process effortless. Since we were on a really tight budget, Rev. Lafrance suggested a few nearby parks to have our ceremony. It couldn't have been a more perfect setting for our small ceremony with our friends and family. We would HIGHLY recommend Centre Amour et Mariage!!!

Rev. Lafrance was very flexible and responsive and at all times professional, friendly and personable. As we were getting married in Quebec but living in another province, I asked many questions by e-mail and received responses very promptly regarding aspects of the wedding such as time, location and content of the ceremony as well as legal aspects of marriage in Quebec. Rev. Lafrance was also willing to be flexible regarding time and location of the ceremony until a late date. This was very helpful to us as our wedding was outside and depended on weather conditions.

The ceremony options were very diverse and it was hard to decide on them, as there were a variety of beautiful passages and vows available. I actually enjoyed just reading the options and thinking about the messages on love and partnership in them and will keep them to cherish and read over from time to time. The passages we decided on for our ceremony were moving and spoke to us and our families, and when my husband and I said our vows to each other, the words felt natural and meaningful and were also appropriately formal.

Overall, Rev. Lafrance was instrumental in making our wedding a success, a joyous and memorable event, and made planning our wedding ceremony "from away" a smooth and easy process.

Dr. Lafrance was very helpful during the wedding preparation stage, and we met twice before the actual wedding day to discuss various aspects of the ceremony. We had several choices to choose from for the ceremony itself, and Dr. Lafrance even gave us suggestions about how to include my stepdaughter in the ceremony. He was always very responsive to emails and answered all the questions that we had. On the day of the wedding the ceremony was absolutely perfect! We would highly recommend Dr. Lafrance.

My husband and I live in the USA but decided to elope in Quebec City in July 2010. We highly recommend Rev. Lafrance! (We also loved Quebec City!!) He took care of all the necessary paperwork, provided excellent guidance, and allowed us the opportunity to customize the ceremony and our vows. He is a very nice person and speaks English well. Mr. LaFrance made our wedding very memorable. He made all of the arrangements for us (wedding banns), etc. He was extremely pleasant and professional and he provided us with a delightful pair who were our witnesses. Overall, a very wonderful experience!

We had people from all over the continent come to Quebec City for our wedding. It included people speaking English, French, and Spanish. We had a unique request in that we needed an officiant who could speak all 3 languages during the ceremony. Louis was able to fluently speak all 3 without a hitch!.

As for preparation, he had some nice ceremony templates to choose from but was still very flexible with other requests we had.

Overall we're very pleased with his services and would recommend him to others!

Dr. Lafrance made our wedding perfect. He was very personable, and provided stablilty during the ceremony. We are english speaking, which did not make a difference, because he had excellent english, and never made us feel awkward or vice versa. He was extremely thorough in planning the ceremony with me, and gave us options to make our wedding unique. We were very far from home, and Dr. Lafrance made us feel like we were with family, by spending extra time with us following the ceremony. He explained everything we needed to do in order to receive our marraige certificate when we arrived back in Texas. He seemed genuine and caring, and although we were not in a church, we felt the presence of the lord in the room. I would recommend him to anyone, whether a big or small wedding. He made our wedding absolutely unforgettable.

Louis was exceptionally adaptable by incorporating all of our ideas and making our ceremony reflect our personality. This was very important to us as we did not want a lengthy, traditionally boring ceremony. We appreciated that he stayed to enjoy cocktails with us afterwards. Louis made planning the ceremony as stress-free as possible by clearly instructing us on what he needed for the big day, and describing what the ceremony would look like so we could anticipate how it would unfold. After the ceremony, he reinforced what to do should I choose to change my last name. Louis made the process effortless. Rev. Dr Louis Lafrance was fantastic. He provided us with a script of the ceremony in advance, with various options so that we could customize the ceremony. He was also very flexible, allowing us to deviate from the script to create our own personalized service. Our ceremony was wonderful, personal and he made everyone feel comfortable and welcome.

Louis wa amazing to work with! we planned our wedding from out of province starting 18 months in advance! He was always willing to discuss ideas and send information! When we finally arrived in Quebec, he met us for lunch and walked us through the entire ceremony! By the time I walked down the aisle, it was like we had known him our whole lives!

Our Wedding Ceremony in Quebec City was stunning and an event we look back on and cannot believe happened! Rev. Lafrance was courteous, knowledgeable and utterly trustworthy from our first contact to our sad goodbye from Canada.
The service was delivered impeccably and reflected how refined the moment should be, our readings were lovely and shared in such a way that made the marriage very intimate indeed.
As is the British custom, we invited the Rev. Lafrance to share our wedding meal with us and his company was an absolute joy. He was a kind and cultured man to share our time with and made Quebec City more personal for us. As we sat and enjoyed our incredible meal, it even snowed outside for us across the river and we were glad the Rev. Lafrance could join us in what was an idyllic day.
