Chad David Kraus Photography
Chad was our wedding photographer, and was absolutely amazing! My wedding was in NYC, but I currently live across the country - Chad was very professional and accommodating, making me feel at ease while planning a wedding long distance.
Chad was an absolute pleasure to work with the day of my wedding. He has an excited, yet calm presence that a nervous bride needs! Chad manages to be in all the perfect spots throughout the day, without ever interrupting the flow. He went out of his way to help us get some amazing shots -- including stopping a taxi and asking the local FDNY if we could take a picture with their truck!
I received multiple compliments from my guests about Chad. Everyone at our wedding loved how fun and personable he was. We were confident that his pictures were going to be amazing - and they were. I was in tears looking at his pictures -- he captured all the special moments of our day in such a beautiful, unique way. I highly recommend Chad, you will not be disappointed!
Our wedding was July 10th 2010 and the memories of that unbelievable day will never be forgotten because of Chad Kraus. From day one of meeting Chad in Starbucks, he showed nothing but excitement and professionalism for our day. His personality in general is very welcoming and makes you feel at ease. He was organized and made sure he wrote down all of the shots that we wanted to be captured along with his creative ideas.
The day of the wedding, Chad was ahead of schedule and wasted no time capturing moments. I didn’t have a wedding planner to give me directions, thankfully and without hesitation Chad was able to calm me down (the bride) and tell me what was happening next.
The Church, Formals and Party pictures were outstanding! For a one- man -show, Chad was EVERYWHERE without being overwhelming! If he took a break, I didn’t even know about it. The pictures were in our email before we even got back from our honeymoon, which was a wonderful surprise to come home to. Our family and friends couldn’t say enough about how impressed they were with him. He really became part of the family by the end of the wedding.
I would not hesitate to recommend Chad for anyone’s special day. He is creative, polite, and above all an outstanding photographer. We look forward to using him at our next event.
I love life. I believe that is what feeds my passion for photography. I’m quite sure that is what compelled me to take much of my savings from years of selling lemonade and cookies in front of my apartment building in Manhattan, and at the age of 12, purchase my first camera. It has been a love affair ever since.
I still own that 35mm camera I bought when I was a kid. I shot with it for 20 years and have grown to consider a camera to be an extension of my very being. I’ve captured the pure and innocent joy of my three children… unforgettable travels around the world… the simple beauty of nature… memories that will last a lifetime.
I’ve purchased other cameras since then and now shoot digitally. I am constantly inspired to shoot in the relentless pursuit of the perfect picture. A child’s smile… true love shared by a bride and groom on their wedding day… a mother’s prideful glance at her son… a father glowing at seeing his family grow before his very eyes – these are the moments worth capturing.
After photographing a relative’s bat mitzvah, I received such praise and encouragement, that I came to the realization it was time to share my passion and life long love of photography with others. Chad David Kraus Photography was born in Westchester County, NY.
Since that party, I’ve professionally photographed weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, communion parties, birthdays, family and baby portraits, professional headshots, and many other special events all over the tri-state area.
I pride myself on my candid photography taken in a photo journalistic style. Every photo can tell a story and I look to capture the truth of a given moment and believe it shines through in my work.
For my portrait work, I enjoy the use of natural light and locations that have a personal attraction or meaning for my clients. It is for this reason that I do not use a studio.
The love and support of my wife and three children give me my true inspiration. For that I am eternally grateful.
