Though I have never been married before until now, I had attended many weddings and though the music was always good, the Djs appeared to be boring. I love how Gary took side notes of each person in our wedding party and let our guests who may not have known any of them otherwise, feel like they knew them and why they were about of our special day. The music was good, the atmosphere remained fun, and I feel a DJ is what makes the reception perfect, and it truly was!

Our wedding location was unique, my husband was moving to Toronto (my hometown) so we wanted to celebrate our marriage in his hometown (Vermilion, OH). This way his family and friends could easily attend!

This would make the ceremony, day and reception very special, but the wedding planning from another city would be difficult.

Insert Heidzillas, the wedding planning company that put everything together for us AND RECOMMENDED GARY WENNER as our DJ.

We hired him after one phone conversation (which sealed the deal right away, his genuine interest on making the day about the couple and the guests came through).

What we didn't know is that he also has a classy, vintage and epic repertoire of songs that went right with our theme. We had emailed him a couple of ideas of 'songs through the century' and not only had he heard of the obscure ones, but he also loved them!

We finally got to meet Gary one week before the wedding..was it a huge risk to not have ever have met him and know the day was coming so soon? SUPER YES. DID WE FEEL THAT HE HAD EVERYTHING IN CONTROL, we ware in awesome hands? YES!!!! At the meeting he expressed his musical ideas for the reception (again right with our line of thinking), his high standards/level of class (believing there are songs not appropriate for weddings) and even added some extras (asking for 'one liners' about the wedding party to add some 'spice' to the party's entrance).

Gary even took the time to come to our reception and go through everything the night before (even though there was a threat of rain- he even took his equipment).

The night went by swimmingly; I've never seen so many smiles on our friends and family's faces and HONESTLY never seen so many people EAGER to dance..there was no dragging of people on to the dance floor-they were running TO the dance floor!

Thank you Gary for making our day EVEN THAT MORE SPECIAL!

Working with Gary through Chagrin Valley Entertainment was a wonderful experience! Everything from our initial meeting to the big day was a great experience. Gary took our wedding reception in his hands and made sure everything ran smoothly letting us relax and enjoy our big day completely stress free! So many wedding DJs ooze with smarminess and condescension. Gary, however, balances professionalism and maturity with good clean fun.

Gary was a great DJ. He worked with us before hand to make sure that he had every detail we wanted to include in our wedding reception. I contacted this business in request of a DJ and although the initial contact was unavailable, he set me up with one of the other DJ's that work for the company. (Gary Jansurak). The DJ was fabulous! He was extremely organized and willing to help with anything needed. The price was the best around!

I always enjoy working with Gary from CVE because I know he cares as much as I do about the bride and groom's happiness and the overall reception flow. He's detail oriented and has a great voice for announcements. He also has quite the extensive music knowledge which not a lot of other local DJs can beat him on.
