Reviews for Chanteclaire Country Manor

I booked my inclusive wedding @ chanteclaire. I am in love with this property and cant wait to get married here and see the pictures- there are so many great "photo ops" on the property - i was there at sunset time- it is so amazing how the light comes off the pond! There were 2 ducks swimming around- i cant wait till the big day that i marry my true love right there at the edge of the pond!. The prices are extremely fair and my fiance and i had some money left in our budget to get the specialty linens i always dreamed of and add the tall floral arrangements on iron garden stands for each of the tables. The price includes a lot and covers all the basis but we wanted to add on some things and all the vendors were very helpful and accomadating to our needs and had great ideas! Even though it is an all inclusive venue we are having a very custom wedding : ) I recommend all brides looking for an outdoor private garden setting to check out Chanteclaire no matter what your budget is. It is not a wedding factory and because of that be patient you will get all the attention and service you need. So far so good, will post more as we get closer to the big day!

A BRIDES DREAM COME TRUE is the perfect way to describe Chanteclaire Country Manor! Cindy the coordinator was a delight from the moment we met her. She was not only helpful and professional but very talented in all of her suggestions for making our day unique and memorable. my bridesmaids were elated to have an elegant and fun dressing room complete with champagne and beautiful croissants and fruit. My husband and his groomsman felt regal in the Bachelor room enjoying games of pool while watching sports and drinking beer. Our guests meandered the gardens visiting and drinking champagne while awaiting the ceremony to begin. To this day our family and friends are still talking about our beautiful and romantic garden ceremony. Every detail and expectation was not only met but exceeded. We highly recommend Chanteclaire Country Manor to every bride and groom to experience the wedding of their dreams.

We had the most beautiful June wedding at Chanteclaire Country Manor. It was perfect in every way. Even when the weather threatened us, Cindy our wonderful coordinator had plan B which was practiced at rehearsal and fortunately not needed. it was comforting to know that a professorial like Cindy was thinking an rethinking every detail. She was constantly moving and working behind the scenes to anticipate every need before it was even needed. If we even looked around she was at my side asking if we needed assistance. Her vendors were wonderful as well. She provided everything in a package that we wanted for a very reasonable price. The wedding site was the most beautiful we had ever seen. It was large but felt intimate. There were many gardens and fountains for our guests to enjoy. The photos were amazing with the backdrop of a romantic gazebo, and swans gliding on the pond. Our memories of Chanteclaire and our perfect day will stay with us a lifetime. If you are planning a wedding you must see this place.

THIS IS THE WORST PLACE TO HAVE YOUR WEDDING AT!!!!! I WAS STARTING TO PLAN MY WEDDING AND FELL IN LOVE WITH THIS PLACE. SO ME AND MY FINANCE SIGNED THE PAPERS AND WE WERE SOOO EXCITED. CINDY WAS SOOO GREAT BUT AFTER SHE GOT US TO PUT A DEPOSIT DOWN AND SIGN THOSE PAPERS, SHE WAS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PERSON. WE GAVE HERE $2500 OVER THE 4 MONTHS AND STOPPED BECAUSE WE COULDN'T GET A HOLD OF HER OR EVEN GET OUR EXACTED BALANCE FROM HER. SHE SWITCH PRICES ON US, SHE BECAME VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND IT TOOK A MONTH TO GET A HOLD OF HER. I WAS STRESS OUT BECAUSE WE GAVE HER ALL THIS MONEY AND SHE WASN'T DOING ANYTHING. SO WHEN FINALLY MY FINANCE AND I WENT TO HER HOUSE. SHE JUST GOT BACK FROM VACATION AND WAS BEING SO NICE. WE WANTED OUR MONEY BACK AND ASKED FOR IT THAT NIGHT BECAUSE SHE WAS MAKING SOOO MANY EXCUSES. SO AGAIN WE ASKED!!! CINDY WE WANT OUR MONEY BACK! SHE SAID THERE IS NO MONEY TO GIVE YOU!! I NEEDED IT FOR RENT BECAUSE I GOT A DIVORCE AND ITS BEEN HARD. I WAS IN SHOCK THAT THAT CAME OUT OF HER MOUTH. SHE SPENT OUR WEDDING MONEY ON RENT AND SHE JUST GOT BACK FROM VACATION. WELL WE TRIED TO COME UP WITH SOMETHING FOR THE $2500 BUT WE COULDN'T. SHE STILL REFUSES TO GIVE US OUR MONEY BACK. WE HAD TO MOVE OUR DATE A MONTH LATER RIGHT NEXT TO MY BIRTHDAY AND 2 WEEKS BEFORE MY FRIENDS BECAUSE OF ALL OF THIS. BECAUSE OF HER THIS WHOLE EXPERIENCE HAS BEEN NEGATIVE. GETTING MARRIED IS SUPPOSE TO BE SOMETHING HAPPEN. NOW I HAD TO TAKE CINDY TO COURT AND TRY AND GET OUR MONEY BACK. CRAZY HOW YOU WORK SO HARD TO SAVE UP FOR YOUR WEDDING AND SOMEONE CAN JUST STEAL YOUR MONEY LIKE NOTHING.I COULDN'T FATHOM NOT GETTING MARRIED IN A WONDERFUL PLACE OF MY DREAMS BUT CINDY WAS MAKING IT TO HARD AND STRESSFUL. TO THIS DAY I DONT HAVE THE THOUGHT OF MIND OF GOING BACK TO CINDY.OVER ALL SHE WAS RUDE SELFISH AND STRESSFUL. I RECOMMEND NOT GOING WITH A PERSON LIKE CINDY STACY.

This was a very confused couple that obviously had to many choices and could not make up their minds. Chanteclaire was the second venue that the attempted to sue for refunds. Its a shame that these types of people can tarnish a good honest business with lies. One only hopes they made it to the altar without causing more havoc to any other vendors.

THIS VENUE IS AMAZING!!!! My fiance and I had been visiting wedding sites for five months when we came upon Chanteclaire Country Manor. The grounds are breathtakingly beautiful and the white gazebo on the lake was so romantic! Our ceremony was intimate in a gorgeous garden of blooming flowers. The reception took place in a green meadow with shade trees and an old fashion dance pavilion like the ones you saw in the park when we were kids. the staff was helpful and very sweet. All the vendors provided in our package were excellent. The valet parking was a real plus. Our friend and family had a great time dancing and taking photos for their Christmas cards! Our wedding was the best wedding anyone had ever been to was said over and over all day! If you are getting married, you need to see this place. It was such a great deal and every thing was provided so my fiance and I were very relaxed on our wedding day unlike so many horror stories ive heard about stressed out brides. This place is highly recommended.

Thank you to the bride who wrote the first review. While cleaning out the backroom at work I found a brochure for Chanteclaire Country Manor and it seemed perfect for my big day. I called both numbers listed and immediately thought it was strange I got a voicemail for a woman (Cathy or Cindy, I can't rememeber for certain), there was absolutely no reference to the vendor itself. I left a message anyway via my work phone but, asking her to reply on my personal phone. That night I found this website and read the only review and immediately gave up on the venue.
Two and a half weeks later I get a call at work from a woman apologizing it took so long to get to me but, I 'sounded so cute on the phone she wanted to have time to talk to me'. When I referenced the poor review she began slamming the customer who tried dealing with her and told me 'she was an impossible bridezilla who couldn't be pleased'. At that point I asked her again to call me on my personal phone not at work.
I decided to take a look at the venue because I still liked it the best, she asked if I could stop by on the following Sunday, and then changed it to, 'lets talk on Sunday', then she tells me 'if you don't hear from me on Sunday call me like 5 or 6 times and I'll know it's really important to call back.'
Needless to say I didn't hear from her on Sunday and I didn't try to call her. A few days later again she calls at work and I wasn't there to answer this time, my boss asked if she could help her and this woman said no and proceeded to call work three more times, with no messages, and she didn't once try emailing me or calling my personal phone.
In addition to the poor interaction with her, she continuely referenced a non-existent website, to which she replied, 'o well you could youtube or google us and find something.' Followed by her telling me she was simply to busy to keep up her website.
... I looked on google... the only thing I found was this website and a bad review.

This is a beautiful venue run by caring professionals. Everything went exactly as promised! My daughter's wedding was amazing! I highly recommend them!

Don't even bother with this vendor. Their website is beautiful and their estate might be as well but they are IMPOSSIBLE TO DEAL WITH. See what I went through to try to make an appointment.
I attempted to get basic information and questions answered by e-mail and to book an appointment to see the venue. The replies to my e-mails didn't answer half the questions I asked and were not written in complete sentences. My first two phone calls were not picked up or returned. My third phone call was picked up in the middle of another couple's rehersal. I was told to call back later. When I asked when, I was told Sunday. I called at noon on Sunday. My phone call was not picked and was not returned until 3:00 pm Tuesday. I could not take the call at the time but returned it 15 minutes later. My call was not picked up or returned that day. I wrote an e-mail specifying what days and times I had available to make an appointment to view the site. My e-mail was returned with no acknowledgment of my availabilty and the only times given for my appointment were times I specified as unavailable. Once again, the e-mail was in incomplete sentences. At this point, I gave up.

My wife and i had the perfect wedding at chanteclaire. Cindy and her employees met and exceeded all of our wishes down to the last detail! The garden was so beautiful, everything came together in a perfect flow. Cindy walked us through every step of the way taking all the stress off our shoulders, she truly is a pro. i have read a few of the comments on this site and all i can say is some people must be impossible to deal with if they they had anything to say negative about this crew.
They made our wedding perfect in every way!

My daughter got married here at Chanteclaire Country Manor and it was simply perfect! The grounds are beautiful with flowers, manicured lawns, a large pond with fountains and a gazebo. There is an area for the ladies to get ready and an area for the guys, both nicely done up and very comfortable. I found Cindy to be charming and very helpful, and definitely a professional who loves her work and is passionate about making sure all the little details are taken care of. She was a huge help and made us feel at ease all the way. The other vendors that she suggested were equally as good. I would highly recommend checking out Chanteclaire and Cindy for a wedding. She's fantastic and so is this property - you will love the peaceful and elegant ambiance!

We searched 9 months for the place for our perfect wedding. We were elated to find not only the perfect venue but great vendors and a wonderful planner at chante- claire country manor.

My daughter's wedding was held at the gorgeous estate called Chanteclaire in Escondido. I might mention that this is my second daughter that was married here. Each wedding was like a fairy tale come true. My first daughter was married here 10 years ago, and my seecond daughter's wedding was just a few months ago. Each wedding was unique, and flowed seamlessly throughout the events. The price was all-inclusive, and Cindy, the owner took all the stress out of finding all the right vendors. She already had them and they were first class. I have a third daughter, and I'm sure she will be married there too. It's become a family tradition, after all. I can highly recommend this fabulous venue!!!!

Our dream of a fairytale wedding was realized at chanteclaire. Everything was included and every vendor was wonderful. I dreamed of this day since i was a little girl and my dreams came true and more! Thank you cindy and your wonderful staff. We will have memories of this day for the rest of our lives.

I had my dream wedding at Chanteclaire Country Manor. The proprietor and vendors made planning my wedding easy and fun. Simply Unforgetable Catering was wonderful. Tricia at The Floral Department designed the most incredible bouquets. Carl from DJ by the C was a true professional and kept the party going beginning to end.
The grounds were lush and beautiful. Definitely should go see this location.
I highly recommend Chanteclaire for any bride looking for the perfect venue.

I held my daughters wedding at chanteclaire country manor. Cindy was a real goldmine and made everything so easy. My daughter was going to college out of state but wanted a beautiful garden wedding like she saw in a magazine back east. I had my work cut out for me until I found Chanteclaire. Not only is it a beautiful wedding site but Cindy the owner has made the property to work with wedding receptions. She has all of the vendors hand picked so that I didn't have to worry about the stress of weeding out florists, dj's or caterers.
Also the price was fantastic and I was thinking that could this woman really deliver what she was promising. Well she absolutely did. I have read a couple of the negative reviews and they look to be younger brides on a very tight budget and perhaps looking for some kind of an excuse for a refund, I found Cindy was professional and I trusted her jugdement on how the wedding day should proceed. I think because of that everything went perfectly. She is dedicated to her clients and would do anything to make the bride and groom happy and their day perfect. For a mother of the bride I was able to enjoy and savor my daughters special day worry free.
From Tricia, the florist whos flowers were incredible, Jennifer who made the beautiful wdding cake or Susie the caterer that made their delicious brandy almond chicken breast. My daughters wedding looked like a spread in a Martha Stewart weddings magazine, my daughter grabbed me and said her day was perfect!! What more could a mother want. Thank YOu Cindy!!

I give this place one star and that is only because the wedding site and reception area is beautiful. I would have to agree with the first two reviews. that third one i would have to say well you had some good luck because i had my wedding there and cindy made my wedding day almost impossible to enjoy. she was rude to me and my guests. She was drinking wine the whole time which i thought was very unprofessional. That wine was paid for by us and was for our guest not her. she acted as though it was her party. She pointed her finger in my face and told me i had to do something that i didn't want to do, which was say goodbye to my guests in a way i didn't want to. She even got mad when we asked for our umbrellas at the head table to be moved behind us so that we weren't sitting in the direct sun. the umbrellas were there to shade us not the grass in front of the tables. the stuff for my wedding which i gave her very understandable directions for, that she was supposed to set up wasn't set up at all by her, my friend had to do it all. Cindy apparently was enjoying herself elsewhere. she talked crap on my friend that set up the stuff to the bar tender. she was very hard to get ahold of the whole time i was planning my wedding. in the beginning she seemed so awesome but as the money started getting paid she started going back on things she said and changing stuff. she knew that my husband and i were very upset with her at the end of the wedding and never once even tried to apologize. we sent her a letter letting her know that we were very unhappy with the service she provided and that we were very disappointed. she never responded. a simple i am sorry or at least some type of response would have been nice. I would not recommend this place to anyone because of Cindy. I don't wish for anyone to go through what we went through on their wedding day. It is really a shame because her rude and unprofessional manor overtakes the beauty of the wedding site.

This place is absolutely magical. the gardens are meticulously groomed like a french country manor and as charming as i ever could have pictured my perfect wedding to be. the coordinator, Cindy, was so much fun and sweet. she took care of EVERYTHING!!! she has the whole package. she took care of my DJ, flowers, music, food, cake, you name it. i read the previous review and its too bad for them. she has always returned my calls and is always so helpful. although she does not have a web site, which is a bummer, the property is worth a look. it truely is perfect. her email is chanteclaire@cox.net

We booked Chanteclaire after looking at 9 others. I went there 4 times before the big day(to show the family and bridesmaids) and the staff was all very nice and accommodating. I don't know what sold me more, all the roses and garden atmosphere, the beautiful pond with the gazebo or the great pavillion where the reception is. So the wedding has come and gone and I don't think we could have chosen a better place to have it!! The day of the wedding, Cindy and the whole Chanteclaire staff was amazing. They had always been very friendly and willing to help through our months of planning and the wedding day was no different! Everything went so smooth and I didn't have to worry about a thing with Cindy by my side. All of the guests had a great time, the facilities were as beautiful as ever, the food was outstanding and the reception was a dream! Worth every penny and then some, A++++ from my husband and I!!

Cindy is a godsend! She is so easy to talk to, which makes her the perfect "complement" to the planning process. Cindy had an instinctual way of anticipating our needs, but always encouraged us to make our own decisions. Her detailed-orientedness was second to none and the ease with which she accomplished tasks was remarkable. Cindy truly goes above and beyond to make sure that every detail is in place and she kept in constant communication with us to let us know how things were going. Our wedding day was perfect because of her continuous efforts to make it that way. I can't say enough good things about this venue!! Amazing landscaping, amazing food, amazing drinks, amazing event coordinator! It is perfect, and I think everybody should get married here!! We were so so lucky to book this place. It was absolutely beautiful! Good price and it accommodated all our guests. It had bride and groom changing rooms, a waterfall in the pond, a white gazebo in the middle of the pond where we said our vows and a huge back area where our reception was with a dancing pavilion. The wedding was executed PERFECTLY! I don't have one single complaint. Cindy, the coordinator, did everything and it looked amazing.

Venue was perfect.
Cordinator not so much!
Wedding site advertised with very cheap prices. yet they were to accomodate 100 people, I had 250 so I knew it would be more. However when I went through these prefered vendors that she was using to up the count they no longer offered the cheap discount and my wedding quickly became very pricey.
She switched her cake vendor on me 3 times. The 1st two I had no idea until I showed up that they REFUSED to do business with her. On my wedding day I walked out to see a beautiful cake that was NOT mine. However it did become mine.
Her attitude was herendous, she argued with me during rehersal about placement of my wedding party. She yelled at small children 6 and under when they were not following her instructions to stand quietly in line. She continuously made comments under her breath about my wedding party so that they could here.
Here property was under construction during the time-so visibley less attractive.
The microphone went out during my ceremony so no one heard a word that was said since the wedding was on the island in her pond.
I got married on a Sunday while someone else got married on Saturday-she told me they had chosen to have their rehearsal at a certain time making mine the earlier rehearsal. We booked our rehearsal dinner at a local winery that was non refundable-later she came back and said they changed their mind and that I needed to change I explained the winery would be closed and I couldnt change it that it was non refundable-and she refused to honor my time.
The flower people left flowers from the wedding the day before at my wedding and she tried to write it off as an upgrade and a favor that they were left behind to decorate.
And then the best part is a few weeks after my wedding my moms credit card was charged $18,000 EXTRA from the cateering company-both her and the cateering company continues to points fingers-not sure who's fault it was but the charge was for another persons wedding.
I also had put decorations around that she swept up and moved without asking, telling or explaining to me why-by doing so mixing them and wasting at least $300 that I spent on these things.
Her personality is horrific!
