Before my wedding I was extremely excited to have my wedding and reception at Chantrell's, little did I know what was really going to happen. They have a mini stage that I had my head table and my bridal table on, both were supposed to have white skirts. My table had a white skirt but my bridal table's skirt was black. The DJ table was supposed to have the black skirt, and that one was white. The tables on the stage were also supposed to be pushed back during the ceremony and then pulled out. The tables were never pushed back so my ceremony was cramped. I rented specific small glass bowls for my tables, they used 3 different kinds of bowls on that day. The champagne in my champagne fountain was fake. The barrel of Budweiser was Natural Light. Not only that but I was later informed by my groom that the tap was broken half of the time and he watched 3 pitchers get spilled on the floor. I had purchased 3 bottles of alcohol to have free shots for select people and I was supposed to be supplied with other bottles that people could buy shots from. They charged me almost double my quoted price for the bottles then they were selling shots out of my paid for bottle and did not have other bottles on hand. When we ran out of liquor the manager offered my husband 2 bottles that had already been opened, then charged us for 36 shots out of a already half empty bottle that no one knew we had gotten. Also during the ceremony my bridesmaid's debit card and cash were stolen along with my mother-in-laws money. Chantrell's was also supplying a 'cake cutting service' for me. When they did this they cut the icing off around the sides of the cake and threw it in the trash, leaving my cake with hardly any icing on top and looking like it should be in the trash. In the end I wish I had gone to a different venue. It was not worth the money that was spent.

The staff was very polite and helpful to fit our specific needs and wants for the reception. The packages offered were reasonably priced and offered a variety of options. Great location and fun place for a reception!

We had our reception at Chantrell's when it was under it's previous management, but have also had another large reception there since and it was quite good.
I would recommend visiting and planning your decorations well in advance as they don't have much in that line.
The place could use a new coat of paint, but it is very reasonable, the food is fantastic, there is plenty of space for most any size reception including a dance floor (if you want to rent one), they are very flexible regarding your wants and needs. If you want something not previously mentioned by them (such as a coffee or tea buffet) just ask. They happily accomodate. They have a large selection of wines, but we had Martinelli's cidar ($2/bottle from Sam's Club) served at our reception. Since it was non-alchoholic and not something that they normally carried, they did not charge us to bring it in. As a matter of fact, they kept it cold in the back and unobtrusively served served it into everyone's champagn glasses just before the toast. They didn't even charge a corkage fee!!!
They offered services such as ice sculptures, buffets or individual meals, napkin and table cloth color choices (25 cent per napkin charge), a speaker's stand w/ microphone (free), and much more. They will also, for a small nominal fee, arrange for a tasting dinner for you and up to 4 people.
There is a long L shaped diaz for you and your wedding party. This can be decorated beautifully with a few lit (fake) ficus and some chiffon wrapped around white christmas lights drapped on the (free) optional "fence". A small bit of imagination will take you far here.
