Our limo driver was great. The limo driver we had even stood out in the rain so I could get out at the reception hall. He would have stood out there longer if I hadn't yelled at him to get back in the car. :-) He was super flexible on driving around to different locations. However the shuttle driver we hired was not as knowledgeable of the area and wasn't very good at listening to the my Matron of Honor (who knows nothing about the area, but was getting directions from me). Also I sent the company an itinerary, with directions before our wedding and they did not supply them to the drivers, which was a fail on their party. I sent them an email recommending that in the future they send drivers that know the area in which the wedding and reception are in. I know they have drivers that know Arlington/Alexandria as friends who recommended them live and work in those areas.

We were very happy with the service provided by Chariots For Hire at my daughter's recent wedding.
Since the wedding was out-of town for both families and many were making a long weekend out of it to do sightseeing in nearby Washington, DC we decided to book a full size tour bus with guide for our many guests. It was quite a hit and the driver and guide were knowledgeable and very pleasant.
The day of the wedding we booked a limo to take us to the church and two buses to shuttle the guests to and from the reception. The drivers were all very courteous, friendly and professional and right on time!
It was very easy to book all of the vehicles and everyone we spoke with at Chariots provided great service. Thank you especially to Michelle, one of the dispatcher, who walked me through the schedules and assured me it would all work out fine-she was right! This was a great choice and we would highly reccommend Chariots For Hire for excellent wedding transportation.

We got a limo and two shuttle buses for our wedding and Chariots for Hire were wonderful!! They were on time and the drivers were great! I plan on recommending them to family and friends.

We used Chariots for our wedding on May 26th and I hate to write a negative review but it was one of the hottest days of the year so far and the air conditioner in our 20 passenger hummer limo was broken. The limo was gorgeous and the limo driver was awesome but it made the limo very uncomfortable with 18 people in a limo, no AC and me in a huge wedding gown and men in their tuxedos. Everyone was sweating and complaining about it so that was kind of upsetting. I did think the limo was lovely and I know this probably does not happen very often but it was a shame that it did otherwise this review would have been 5 stars.

Chariots for Hire helped me rest easy on my big day. We were using a church that was in Chantilly but people were staying in Arlington where the reception was held. We didn't want our guests to have to deal with travel, so we hired 2 buses in addition to our limo. The drivers all showed up on time and were lovely to our guests. They were promptly delivered to the Church and back to the hotel. All our guests were pleased with the service.

We used Chariots for Hire on our wedding day and were so happy we did! We had quite a large wedding party (18 of us in total!) and needed a limo to accommodate us. We chose the Apollo which held 22 and sat all 18 of us comfortably. Our limo driver, Mike, was on time and professional. He drove us all around DC and made sure we had a great time, which we did. I would recommend Chariots for Hire for any bride and groom looking for a limo!

I had a great experience with them. We hired them to provide buses for the guests to and from the church from the hotel. We also had them provide a "party bus" for the wedding party to use to shuttle the group around DC to take pictures.
We had a great driver. He was super flexible and seemed to be having just as much fun as us on the party bus. I would highly recommend them!!!

Our driver came on time and let us do whatever we wanted with out alotted amount of time. One thing that was a pain was that we had to rent the shuttle bus for four hours even though we really only needed two. The bus picked up the groomsman, then came to pick up the bridesmaids, and then dropped us off at the ceremony site. We were able to send the shuttle back to the hotel to pick up some elderly guests and friends and have them dropped off at the ceremony site as well. This was very helpful. The driver was so nice and accommodating to what we needed. He even helped me with my dress.

I recently used Chariots for Hire for transportation for my guests to and from the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner on Friday, as well as for transportation for myself and my bridesmaids to the wedding on Saturday. Chariots for Hire did a great job and I would use them again for any transportation needs.
When calling to find out if information and whether they would be able to help us with our wedding transportation needs they answered the phones quickly, were courteous, helped me understand what would be suit our needs and what the prices were without asking.
Our drivers on both Friday and Saturday showed up early and got us to where we needed to be quickly and efficiently.
I would highly recommend them for any transportation needs!

We used Chariots for Hire just for a ride from the reception to the B&B after our reception. They showed up on time, the limo was very clean and driver was very courteous. We accidently left a card with a check and he waited to get our attention so that we could retrieve the envelope.
They were reliable, easy to book and confirm via person, so I would highly recommend.

We rented a 12-person limo for the bridal party and towncar for us. The drivers were on time and knew exactly where they were going so we didn't have any of those horror stories about getting lost on the way to the ceremony! The only reason they are getting a 4-star rating is because the A/C was broken when they came to pick us up to take pictures and we were melting on the hot June day - however it was fixed by the time the limo went to pick up the guys.

This was the only limo company in the DC area that had the number and type of limos I needed for our entire wedding party (suv for bride, bus for groom, suv for parents, etc), so we were forced to go with them. Making the reservation was easy enough. There was no room for negotiations in pricing, despite the fact that we originally booked 4 limos. Every time we called, someone picked up and was able to assist us. They were able to accommodate any changes we made to the reservation. All people we dealt with were courteous and respectful. There reservation system sent us email confirmations, which we appreciated. However, any time we modified the reservation (times, type of vehicle) it did not send the confirmation though the representative said it should have. The real problem was on the day of the ceremony. One limo did not having working air conditioning. It was 90 degrees out, and everyone was in heavy ethnic clothing, making them extremely uncomfortable. The driver indicated he would try and do something about it, but did nothing. We had made the reservation for these limos a year and a half in advance, let alone for 3 limos, and they had the audacity to send us a limo without A/C for a May wedding. When I called to complain someone took my complaint, but no one ever called me back. After trying for the third time to get someone on the phone, they credited back $150 out of the $540 cost for the limo. I was not satisfied with this resolution, but could not do much, other than file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

Chariots for Hire was great to work with. They were great about setting up service, getting us a good price (it was prom season), and changing our pickup times. Our limo driver was professional and courteous. She helped my mother-in-law who has weak knees get in and out of the limo, and helped me make sure my dress didn't get dirty and to not make a faceplant getting out of the car. The driver took the back roads nicely and it was a comfortable drive.
However, they were not worth what we paid. The white limo we used looked like it was going to rust out from the bottom, scratches covered the side of the limo. That condition wasn't helped any when our driver nearly took out my sister-in-law's mailbox getting out of the driveway. That put a nice dent in the side of the car. The air vents didn't want to work well, and the ceiling adornment looked like it was going to fall down on us. It was rather embarrassing and you can see how beat-up the limo is in the pictures. We had a few guests even comment on the condition of the limo. I'm not sure if how many of the white Chryslers they have and we just got the short straw, but had I known what we were going to get, I would have gone elsewhere.

Chariots for Hire were extremely flexible and drove us all over the city and made several stops. Their vehicles were very clean and they were always on time. Only complaint was that it was TOO HOT in the limo even though it was pretty cold outside. Very reasonably priced.

Chariots For Hire is awesome. They helped us celebrate our wedding day without any glitches whatsoever. They are dependable and I would definitely use them again. We used both their limos and charter buses and were extremely pleased. Can't say enough nice things about them.

We used this limo service for our transportation to/from the wedding venue. Our driver was extremely professional during our transportation. Our only complaint would be in the service we received AFTER our wedding. My husband accidentally left his cell phone in the limo (our fault!). We realized this happened and my parents called the limo company the next day to report the missing cell phone. They were directed through a long, tedius process and finally told to email a lost and found address for which they never received a response. After a week and a half going by, I demanded that they not put me through to "Lost and Found" and made the person on the phone check. She told me "oh yes, I have his cell phone here- come pick it up". When arriving at the limo company, they had a pile of at least 30 cell phones sitting on their table. We were told the drivers clean the car after each passenger- if this is the case, why don't they contact the passengers that left items? OR - crazy thought - why don't they respond when you report an item that was lost?

I was very pleased with Chariots for Hire. They were perfectly on time (a feat, given the traffic!), and were immensely fun and flexible when it came to the trip home - they let folks turn on the radio and enjoy themselves on the way back from the wedding. They were also really good to work with in the run-up. I'd recommend them.

I had no issues with this vendor until I found out that the limo driver, who caused us to be an hour late to our reception because he used his own directions and drove us around the world rather than take the back way that our planner gave him, charged us an additional $200 because we were late. Thankfully, my planner fought and two months later, we were reimbursed after the company did their investigation. Otherwise, everyone else that we worked with was very professional and the limos were nice.

My fiance and I received a postcard in the mail from Chariots for Hire around 7/24/08. We had never heard of the company but, after reviewing their prices and vehicles on their website – www.chariotsforhire.com we were excited to give them a call. We talked to a couple different sales reps verifying price and availability on the 36 passenger bus (The Ceasar). On 7/30/08, my fiance put a 25% deposit down for our 5/30/09 wedding and received a reservation # from Kendra. Last Friday 11/28, we received a message from the Manager Jeff saying to give him a call back in reference to our reservation. My fiance called them back yesterday 12/2/08 and spoke with another sales rep. She told him everything looked fine. She said she doesn’t see any reason why someone would be contacting him. We got home last night and once again there was a message from Jeff.
My fiance contacted him first thing this morning 12/03/08. Jeff told my fiance there had been a mistake. Apparently, Kendra was new and should not have given us The Ceasar on 5/30/09 for the ADVERTISED price because our wedding date falls in prime wedding and prom season. He could get 3 times as much for the bus as we were paying. It took you 5 months of hanging onto our deposit to figure that out. Jeff being so generous offered us a refund, the bus at the 3 times as much price, or a much smaller bus for the same price we were paying for the bigger bus. Geez! Thanks Jeff! What bothered me more than anything is he never offered either one of us an apology. He was quite smug and showed no remorse.




I would not recommend this vendor. Their customer service is very poor. Our driver got lost and because of that, we used the limo for longer than we had reserved. We were then charged for the extra time, with no prior warning. We had been quoted one price and were charged another. We had to contact the company to find out what had happened.
