We have never had a response like this to any wedding or event we have ever photographed. And I am sorry but it is simply untrue. First and foremost we are quite certain that this is the videographer at the wedding who is giving us a bad review because things didn't go exactly the way he wanted them to and not a guest. We were not a distraction at the ceremony. We have always been respectful. The Bride and groom did give us full reign and said the photography was what was important to them and to go where we needed to go but we always try to stay low and be respectful. The problem came because the videographer with his bright blue shirt set up his camera right at the end of the aisle in the middle....making it impossible for us to get pictures of the bridal party coming down the aisle without his tripod and blue shirt in some part of the picture. So yes, for important shots that can't be missed we always go inthe center aisle and he was told that before the ceremony. Also, the videographer was not an older gentleman. There was an older gentleman working as DJ with him but he did no videography. Also, the bride and groom themselves set aside a cocktail hour because the wanted the extra hour to take portraits after the ceremony. This was their request and we would have stopped at any time had they told us to , as we always do. What is important to us is what our bride and groom and their family wants. This is simply a case of a videographer who is miffed because he didn't totally get his way. Sorry but yes we did get in his way a few times...it happens, but he also was in our way several times also. That's just the way it goes sometimes. He stepped up right in front of us about a foot and a half in front of the cake and bride and groom during their cake cutting. All this pettyness could have been avoided if he had communicated better and worked with us. Like I said we have never had a complaint like this and we have done over 75 weddings. We strive to make our B&G happy and they were more than pleased with us and they will be more than happy when they see their photographs. We are competant professionals and don't accept this review to be a fair representation of us and find it to be based on another vendor's disgruntled and skewed view of the way things went and riddled with inaccurate and uninformed claims. We stand by our work and our excellent relationship with our past couples who have been more than pleased with their photography and us. If this does happen to be a guest or a FRIEND of the videographer or another vendor then they are also basing this on uninformed guesses and again I'm sorry but not merited in any way. Also, we would like to add that the reviewer listed the wedding as 4/16/11. The wedding was 4/22/11. We shot no weddings on 4/16/11. So, if the wedding in question was definately 4/16/11 then you have mistaken us for someone else.
