Chateau Bellevie B&B

The first time we visited the Chateau Bellevie we thought it would be the perfect place to get married. It was beautiful and Maria provided all of the decorations. Whenever we had a problem Maria tried to be flexible with us and help us out but often times it resulted in frustration. On the day of the rehearsal we were told there would be a wedding planner and there was but she was horrible. Her daughter Roxana used to be the wedding coordinator, but she is no longer there. We heard she was great but we didn't get to experience her unfortunately. The wedding coordinator just stood there during rehearsal and said whatever you would like and didn't speak up or even try to help. Many people told her she needed to take charge but she didn't. There were no chairs set up to represent where an isle would be and where the ushers needed to seat the guests. After I took charge and ordered people around my wife calmed down a little and things seemed to fall in to place but that shouldn't have been something I needed to worry about. On the day of our wedding our DJ saved us. DJ Delane Hayes was amazing, I recommend him to anybody getting married. He took charge of our ceremony and made sure people were introduced correctly and were told where to go. We were told that our dinner would only last about 50 minutes so that we would have time to dance but the dinner lasted about 2 hours and nobody told us we needed dinner to end, they just let it go and it took 30 minutes to get food after everybody had been seated.(We only had the place for 4 hours and that included a 45 minutes ceremony) We were told the food was great, we didn't get to go to the food tasting, but it wouldn't have mattered anyway because the food tasting was just a couple of months before our wedding so we couldn't have backed out even if we did get to taste the food. Unfortunately the food was mediocre at best. For the price of what we paid for the venue and the food I expected much better.

Fantastic experience from start to finish! We knew when we visited for the first time that we didn't have to look any further. Our wedding day went so smoothly, and everyone loved the Chateau and the food. Maria and her team are so professional, kind, and detail oriented. Thanks for everything! We'll cherish the memories forever.

Our wedding at Chateau Bellevie was amazing. Maria was extremely accommodating and wonderful to work with. Her staff was very attentive and went above and beyond to make our special day an everlasting memory. Chateau Bellevie is a beautiful and elegant venue. Our wedding was very small (27 people) and we were afraid that the venue was too big but it turned out great. Guests were moving from one room to another as they went from the outdoor ceremony to the indoor cocktail hour to the dinner in the upstairs dining room. The bridal suite is beautiful and was perfect for the hours before the ceremony. All of the guests commented on the wonderful set up and the elegance of the Chateau. We highly recommend Chateau Bellevie and give it our highest marks.

I absolutely 100% suggest The Chateau Bellevie for your wedding venue. My wedding was perfect. Everyone complimented on how lovely the Chateau was, how nice the staff was and how fantastic the food was. It was the BEST food I have ever tasted. Maria is the most wonderful hostess/chef/owner/coordinator! She is so kind, and knowledgeable, and patient and so willing to help. She helped me with every detail, from the food, to the cake, flowers, decorating, even seating arrangements. Maria makes the Chateau as wonderful as it is. I cannot say enough about this place. It was so nice and beautiful, with such a lovely setting, inside and out. If you even think you might want to have your wedding here, think no more!!! This is the place! Trust me! It’s an amazing value for everything that you get, and whatever the coast…IT’S WORTH IT! Booking the Chateau made my wedding as easy and beautiful as I wanted it to be. We booked the Chateau less than 2 months before my wedding, and Maria helped me pull off a great night with great memories! I can’t say enough about this place, it’s as fantastic as it sounds, just go check it out!

My wedding was beautiful and perfect. I was really glad that Maria at Chateau Bellevie was able to take care of pretty much everything for me. The food was amazing, the decorations were beautiful. I am so, so glad I found this venue. It was a little pricey (thanks dad!), and sometimes it took a bit longer to get a response than I'd have liked, but it didn't cause any issues so it wasn't a big deal at all. I wouldn't have changed a thing looking back on it!

There really aren't enough words to say how lovely it was to have our wedding at the Chateau Bellevie! Each room is so spectacular, you'll begin to think of creative things you can do just so you can utilize all the space. The grounds are amazing too - perfect for a beautiful outdoor wedding or stunning outside photographs.

But it’s not just an incredible place to get married - working with Maria was such a delight...she really became family to us. She was so great at finalizing all the details. We are from out of town and she was very helpful in assisting us in finding other local vendors. We really could not have asked for a better experience!! Everything from the ceremony to the reception to the honeymoon suite to breakfast in the morning was absolutely perfect. Even our guests couldn’t stop talking about what an amazing place it was. I would highly recommend the Chateau Bellevie to anyone looking for an intimate wedding or event venue! It will over-deliver any expectations you may have!

The Chateau Bellevie made the whole experiance AMAZING. From our first meeting (4 Months prior) to our big day. Maria and Roxana were very helpful and loving every second. I would definetly recomend this venue to everyone for any event. They made my wedding PERFECT.

Chateau Bellevie is a beautiful and enchanted place and made our wedding day just a wonderful experience. We had discovered this place by accident over a year before our wedding and after the first food tasting we were hooked and booked it right away. We tried looking at other venues before but nothing came close to the European charm and attention to detail this place has; it is truly amazing. Since we booked the Chateau so far out I had lots of planning and details still to hatch out and Maria and Roxanna where very responsive to my needs and concerns. We visited Bellevie a few times before our wedding to go over some more planning where treated with kindness and reassurance from Maria each time; she was never in a rush to usher us out of the door. Maria made me feel like I was visiting family back home in Europe and I loved every minute I got to spend in this wonderful location. I would really recommend this venue to couples that are looking for a special place to have their intimate wedding in European style and class by a staff that is very proud of their place and has worked so hard to make this a special location.

Working with Marie and her daughter Roxy was an absolute delight. I cannot emphasis enough how professional and courteous the Chateau is run. Any and all of my anxieties and Bridal Jitters were alleviated when corresponding with Marie. Her patience and expertise was unwavering. She worked with me to ensure my vision for my Wedding Day was fulfilled. Roxy was invaluable as the 'Day of Coordinator". Roxy is a pro! She knew the names and faces of each Bridal Party member and the immediate family of Bride and Groom. They all commented on how sincere and warm she was. My guests raved about all aspects of the wedding. The venue, food and the service were all perfect. I knew my guests were genuine with their compliments when everyone wanted to meet Marie who is usually behind the scenes on the day off. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this Venue to any bride. My wedding day was picture perfect.

Chateau Bellevie provided my husband and me with the perfect wedding! Our dream was to have an intimiate wedding with all of the charm of Europe. Choosing the Chateau Bellevie was the perfect choice for my son and daughter-in-law’s wedding and reception. They were living out of state so I volunteered to help them look for a venue. The moment I saw the Chateau and met Maria I could tell that this was the ONLY place for their special day. When my daughter-in-law came to town she could not have been more pleased….this was her dream….she wanted to feel like a princess and she did. The Chateau alone can sell you…but with Maria’s expertise, love for what she does, and desire to make your day so very special is an added bonus that is hard to find. Not to mention, the food was excellent, and the service and set-up superb. Roxane, the wedding coordinator, was attentive to all the details and was able to accommodate last minute changes. Both she and Maria are so easy to work with. If you need recommendations for flowers, cake, etc., Maria will provide excellent recommendations….which you can trust. Then there is the honeymoon suite and breakfast for the bride and groom which is such an intimate touch. The Chateau Bellevie was Absolutely Fabulous!!!! Thank you so much Maria!!!

The food, the service, the professionalism...AMAZING! I couldnt have asked for a better day. They take you in like family and treat you like family. The most amazing day of my life. Thank you for making it wonderful. I got so many compliments from guests with one guest telling me it was the bestwedding she had ever been to. I had a small wedding and they made it wonderful. Chateau Bellevie is the most amazing place I could think of to have a wedding. My husband and I searched for ages to find a great venue and we found that and more at the Chateau.

Right from the beginning, Maria and her team were so open, generous, and truly excited to be a part of our wedding. They made us feel like royalty throughout the whole process. Maria was so flexible with our crazy schedule and was always incredibly professional.

On top of all the wonderful things about the venue, the food is fantastic as well! Maria provided a vegetarian option for myself and some family members, which made everyone incredibly happy! The hors d'oeuvres were beyond words (get the fruit kabob with key lime drizzle!) and we were given food to take home since we were so busy visiting with everyone! The best part about the Chateau was how I never once felt like I was being overcharged or I wasn't getting the best value possible. The prices for both venue rental and food are well worth it.

The highlight of my wedding at Chateau Bellevie was how the whole team responded in a (small) crisis situation. While I was having some photos taken before the wedding, the wedding cake was dropped off. When my husband saw it, he immediately texted me to tell me I should look at it and when I saw it, I was shocked. The cake vendor had delivered the cake and the decoration was not even half way completed. This was also about one hour before the ceremony. Immediately, Roxana (Maria's daughter) got on the phone to call the owner of the bakery to find a solution. When the bakery owner said she couldn't help me, Roxana called another vendor, Ambrosia Cakes, to help me. Not only did Jennifer at Ambrosia Cakes agree to help me in such a short time, she came to the venue, picked up a cake, left a "dummy cake" in its place, and took it back to her studio to decorate it with my vision in mind. The cake was brought back and decorated beautifully before I could even say "I do." This was all because of Roxana and Maria's quick thinking and great relationships with other vendors in the wedding community.

Having a wedding at Chateau Bellevie is not like having a venue for your wedding-- it's like having your wedding at a family member's home (without all the drama). You'll be welcomed into the family and it will truly be one of the most special days of your lives.

Maria and her staff/family were simply wonderful....and a godsend in helping us plan our wedding. They helped create a lovely intimate and totally memorable event for everyone who attended. This was a second wedding for both of us and a blending of families...the vendors they suggested from the cake, to the flowers, to the photographer combined to make it a perfect evening. They are the only venue I recommend to friends and clients!!! Thank you Maria for the opportunity to sing your praises again!!!

The Chateau Bellevie has got to be one of the best kept secrets of the North Carolina wedding industry. We had our ceremony and reception at the Chateau Bellevie, and then stayed in the honeymoon suite that night as well. Maria and her daughter Roxana were absolutely incredible to work with for our intimate summer wedding of about 60 guests.

I cannot possibly express how beautiful this place is... we couldn't believe how reasonable the cost was for such an elegant venue. We had looked around at other places that were similarly priced, and the quality was just nowhere near the Chateau Bellevie.

Maria treated us like family from day one of working with her. She was also able to recommend other fantastic wedding vendors, which made the entire process of planning a wedding so much easier. She and her staff prepare all of the food on site there, and it is absolutely delicious. My husband was slightly obsessed with one of her "old family recipes" that she served at a pre-wedding food tasting about six months before our wedding. She remembered how much he loved it and packed up a big box of it for us to take home for him the next morning!

I know that Maria and Roxana had other weddings to plan in addition to ours (including Roxana's!) but every time we spoke to them or met with them they treated us as if we were their top priority.

The only reason I gave them 4 stars for flexibility is that the venue is on the small side, so there are some minor limitations in that sense. The staff themselves are extremely flexible.

Two years later, we still hear from our friends and family about how beautiful our wedding was. And I have to say... other than agreeing to marry my sweet husband in the first place, choosing to get married at the Chateau Bellevie was absolutely the best wedding-related decision I made.

Our wedding experience at Chateau was a divine appointment from all respects. Maria and Roxana are very delightful and went above and beyond to make our dream day come true. The location and old world charm of the Chateau are one of a kind. The staff was very accomidating leading up to and the day of our diving appointment. Our family was able to stay at the Chateau with us the night of our wedding which made for a truely family experience. Just as they were the day of, the next morning, Roxana and Maira were just as lovely. Maria with her meal that she prepared for our family and guest was out of this world....Roxana has a very creative knack and created us a special candy bar that our guest enjoyed, the home was filled with lovely music....All of the servers and wait staff were very gracious. I highly recommend the Chateau Bellevie B&B. My husband and I will definately be back! Thank you can't even begin to express our graditude to your family for blessing the beginning or our new family!!

Walking into Chateau Bellevie is like walking into another world. It has an elegant European feel yet it is warm and welcoming. I am always surprised at the beautifully placed details through out the rooms.

Maria is a warm hostess and the food is amazing. Maria makes each person feel like her special guest. Such a special place for a special event!

I absolutely love working at the Chateau Bellevie! The staff is very friendly and professional and will go out of their way to accommodate you. This is such an elegant upscale intimate setting for a wedding. There are several spots inside and outside this beautifully appointed Country French style mansion for a wedding ceremony. In addition to having your wedding here, you may make it a whole weekend in luxury served by their gracious staff.

I've officiated many weddings at Chateau Bellevie. First of all it's beautiful. Every room makes a great backdrop for a stunning photograph. Second of all Maria, Roxanna and the rest of the staff know what they're doing and love what they do. They're great. Also, their rooms adapt to different needs well and their outdoor settings are not in the direct sunlight so even on a hot day are more comfortable that many other local settings. And they are lovely. I can't recommend them highly enough!

Chateau Bellevie is a unique , stylish and elegant place for events. It's feels like you are in Europe with all the small details in and around the Chateau with multiple options for ceremony setup and for photography. The Chateau is a great venue for someone who like to have an intimate wedding at an amazing place. Maria and her daughter Roxana are very helpful, wonderful people who makes sure everything will goes smoothly and completely stress-free. We are very enjoying working with them.
