I consider myself to be very organized and good at planning; however, planning a wedding is a completely different ballgame. I can't recommend enough the need for a wedding planner and a great one at that. Alex, owner of Cherry Blossom Events, was my savior and I wouldn't have had the most enjoyable and relaxed time of my life if it wasn't for her! Over the course of a year, Alex was so easy to work with and never got annoyed with my bazillion questions that came up. She is definitely at the top of her game making sure that you are comfortable with the all the decisions you are making, she is very knowledgeable offering an abundance of advice and suggestions along the way, and she ensures you’re on track with your budget and timeline. Not only am I thankful for the stellar service she provided, but my husband is equally as thankful because I didn’t turn into a bridezilla! We truly couldn’t have had the wedding we had if it wasn’t for her. From the rehearsal to the ceremony to the reception, everything flowed flawlessly, which allowed my husband and I to enjoy every moment as if we were living out a fairytale. My hats off to Alex…thank you for your many efforts in making December 3rd a day that Sean and I will never forget 

When I started planning my wedding, I met with more wedding planners than any other vendor and always felt like they were trying to sell me a bill of goods. Except Alex Caggiano at Cherry Blossom - she was the first to make me feel comfortable. I am glad I followed my gut and went with her! We were putting our wedding together on a pretty short 3 month time line and we knew we wanted a wedding on "our terms," but needed help organizing the day-of coordination. Everyone else tried to tell me how I should do things. Instead, Alex told me how she could help support me and help achieve what we wanted. She was unbelievably responsive, reliable, calm and on top of every detail – and she had great suggestions whenever I asked for them! I originally thought I would only need her for the actual day, helping with the vendors, but she was a life saver for the 30 days before the wedding - tracking down all my other vendors, keeping all the important details together in one place and enabling me to focus on the rest of my life! She was always professioanl, sweet, positive and again, it needs restating, very calm - that was worth every penny!

Alex went above and beyond for my daughter's wedding. All details were seen to as she handled it all with skill and caring.

Having Cherry Blossom as our wedding planner was such a blessing allowing family and firends to enjoy the celebration knowing every detail had been checked and confirmed more than once. Suggestions from CB for vendors gave us some of the best talent in the DC area.On the day of the wedding
Elizabeth's calm, take charge attitude, allowed us to dance the night away and finding our car waitiing out front loaded with gifts and flowers at the end of the reception was icing on the cake.

My husband and I just celebrated our wedding on October 1st, 2011 and had Alex Strawn (Caggiano) as our planner. She was absolutely fabulous. She is very professional and courteous. She went above and beyond with helping us find our vendors and recommending great people. Throughout our wedding planning process she was always responsive and had a solution for everything issue that arose.

My mom and I planned the wedding ourselves, but with a month to go we realized that we needed help making sure our dream became a reality on the day of the wedding. Elizabeth was wonderful in putting our vision to work. The ceremony was held in Virginia and the reception was in Maryland, so we put all our trust in Elizabeth and her assistant to make sure the vendors arrived and the venue was set-up according to our design. The peace of mind that Elizabeth gave us was invaluable, and we were able to enjoy the moment without worrying about everything getting done. My daughter had her priorities set: her wedding should be fun, inclusive, a tad surprising, and celebrating of Old Town Alexandria, Va. It was to be primarily a destination wedding near the nations's Capital, but she wanted everyone from out of town to be able to get around without a car.
I wasn't sure that after living here just six years, I knew the right resources to pull it off for her, have our different perspectives respected and have no worries on the big day.

Enter Alex Caggiano from Cherry Blossom Weddings. From the beginning Alex was able to put our goals into concrete plans. She steered us the right vendors, added her own visions born of
experience in the DC area, answered every question ( some were asked two or three times!), responded immediately and resolved snarls for us. She coordinated the rehearsal dinner and potomac river cruise which followed, a bagpipe procession to and from the church, the installation of clear tent over the reception site, made signs, handled the florist and more. On the day of the
wedding she even missed the vows because she was outside dealing with an "unusual" man who demanded to be allowed in the church, first at the front door, then the rear door. He did not get inand she kept her cool!

My husband and I felt like guests at our daughters wedding, because Alex was so thoroughly on the team, thatmshe brought me my first glass of wine, and I hugged her good night at the end...the rest was her show, and it was handled seamlessly.

We chose Alex because our personalities clicked and she was able to work around our hectic schedules. In addition to her flexibility, easy-going nature and relationships with the area's best vendors, her creative ideas helped us design a beautiful wedding.

When my husband found out that I was planning on setting up our reception room the morning of our wedding he immediately went on and started searching for wedding coordinators. He told me that our wedding day was suppose to be stress free and I had told him the only way I would keep my hands out of it was if I trusted someone.

We found that trust in Elizabeth Leibundguth during our first meeting. Elizabeth knew the perfect balance between advice and executing my vision. She was available, responsive and reliable beyond my expectations.

I was excited about marring my best friend but I was REALLY excited about all of the crafts I would be able to incorporate into our special day. Let’s just say the craftier I got, the more stuff we had to put in Elizabeth’s car when she came to pick everything up the weekend before. She never once made me feel like it was too much and I truly valued her opinion.

Our day was perfect and the room looked as I had imaged and hoped it would during our 19 months of planning. During the reception she was around when we needed her and coordinated the venue staff, my photographers, videographer and DJ so their service and the night was seamless.

Alex and her team were amazing to work with while planning our wedding. After attempting to plan our wedding on my own I caved in six months out and went to Alex for help. I could not be happier with the services that she provided. No stone was left unturned. Our wedding day was seamless and I owe it all to her!

I am not even sure where to begin with recommending Alex and her team at Cherry Blossom. When my partner and I decided to get married, planning a wedding was not one thing that either of us had the time to dedicate to. We gave Alex a few simple instructions: we cannot run out of liquor, we want amazing food served HOT and we want it to be a wedding that people remember, not because we were two men getting married, but because it was an amazing event. Alex promised all of the above and delivered. There was not one thing that either of us would change about the day and in fact, the entire process and the wedding day itself exceeded our expectations by leaps and bounds. We both trusted her with so many facets of the event and she delivered on ALL of them and her coordinators made the actual day itself look seemless. In the end, we could never have done it without her.

I never write reviews, but getting an amazing level of service these days is so rare that it must be documented. Originally, I was not going to get a wedding planner since I had already decided the venue, dress, and other key elements on my own. However, since I was going to be out of town the month before my wedding, I thought I would look into it. Contracting Cherry Blossom Wedding Planning and more importantly Alex was one of the best decisions I ever made. She was my third and last try-the first two didn't care to hear what I needed and did not need-they were more interested in whether I was willing to meet their minimum payment. Alex heard me out and created a flexible planning package with what I wanted. It was totally worth my peace of mind. Alex contacted and coordinated with all the vendors, made sure everything was right, was always available and super responsive to all my crazy questions, found me THE best band ever, reviewed all my contracts, was there on the "day of" (super super helpful to have a pro on the day of) and basically dealt with every detail. I had a seamless, beautiful, awesome wedding with NO STRESS because of Cherry Blossom Weddings.

Alex is amazing. We were so lucky to have her as a day of coordinator. She was extremely flexible, and very laid back which helped me stay laid back. Honestly, I didn't think about one detail the entire wedding day, I was totally confident that she had everything set, and she did. I never thought I would have so much fun at my wedding. Alex totally took the stress out of it. I can't recommend her enough. My only disappointment was that she wasn't a guest at our wedding!

Hiring Elizabeth Leibundguth from Cherry Blossom Wedding and events was one the best decisions we made!

My fiance and I booked only a couple of our major vendors prior to realizing that with our busy lives we needed a planner to help out with the remaining vendors and many of the details. We ultimately chose the partial wedding planning package and I can not stress enough how much easier the whole process of planning was with Elizabeth on the job!

Elizabeth was incredibly organized, always punctual and had many suggestions even for items and vendors that were not part of our contracted services. Not mention that she is just a lovely sweet person.

Elizabeth and her assistant Andrea made sure our wedding day flowed smoothly and to this day I have absolutely no idea if there were even any problems b/c neither myself, my husband or our families were ever bothered with anything on the day of the wedding. Our only job was to enjoy ourselves!

Chantal Rotondo of Cherry Blossom Weddings and Events was MORE than my husband Peter and I could've ever asked for. She took all the information from all of our vendors and made sure our day went off without a hitch! Even handling the change of ceremony venue due to rain.. I didn't have to worry about one thing! A Few days before the wedding.. she came to our house, and picked up all the favors, place cards, etc.. and I didn't have to worry about ONE thing.. I could sit back.. relax with my bridal party and enjoy the day! After the reception, we went to our rooms as husband and wife and there - were all the gifts and the flowers! I didn't have to even THINK of transporting them to our room! I have heard it said that the one thing that brides would do if they had to do it again was to hire a coordinator; well if anyone I know gets married in the future.. Cherry Blossom W&E and Chantal are Number ONE on my list of phone calls to make! It is a MUST!!! If you are wanting to have a stress free wedding.. don't hesitate - Call Them. It will be the best investment you could make for you and your husband to be!

I was fortunate enough to have Elizabeth take over my wedding....... I received a call a month before my wedding from my day of cord. who informed me she was no longer available for my wedding day!!!! Luckily I was referred to Cherry Blossom weddings and found a great day of cord. Elizabeth and her assistant Erin. My wedding day was amazing and because of their help all went very smoothly.

Selecting Alex Pare/Cherry Blossom Weddings & Events as my wedding coordinator was one of the best decisions I made. Alex is truly fabulous!! Both my husband and I work long hours which makes it really tough to secure vendor appointments - within a few weeks of signing a contract with Alex, we had several appointments lined up and a timeline in place.

Alex is professional, responsive, confidant, and friendly. Chantal went above and beyond her role as our day-of coordinator and helped us with making decisions, reminding us about payments, and finalizing all of those last minute to-dos that came up. She was extremely responsive and friendly and we knew we could count on her if we needed help getting any of our wedding tasks done or getting in touch with vendors. For my wedding I hired Cherry Blossom Weddings to do day-of coordination. I worked with Chantal Rotondo. This was one of the best decisions I made during the wedding. Even though they were only day of, Chantal talked to me and got things squared away the whole month before. She asked the questions that I didn't think of, created a schedule, and had great references for other vendors. The day of my wedding, I have no worries at all because Chantal took care of everything, and I just sat back and relaxed, the whole wedding went smoother than I could have ever imagined.

Elizabeth was a fabulous wedding planner. She was organized, prepared, thorough, creative, professional, punctual and super calm on my wedding day. She was always very easy to get ahold of to answer any questions I had and was also easy to talk to. I never felt like I had to hide or justify any feelings or opinions I had regarding matters to my wedding. And she always made great efforts to accommodate my hectic schedule. I'm confident that anyone would have the same positive and satisfying experience with Elizabeth as their wedding planner as I did.

I hired Alex Pare from Cherry Blossom Weddings to do partial planning for me, about five months before our wedding. I had hired almost all of my vendors but needed guidance on the remaining vendors, pulling together the stylistic elements of the wedding, and full month-of/day-of planning services. I worked full time plus more and was overseas for part of my planning, so having Alex was key to stress free wedding planning.

After hiring Alex, she took the reins from me almost immediately, working directly with the hotel/catering director at our venue - Hotel Monaco - and other vendors, without involving me in the tiny details. Alex was able to help me hire our last several vendors (which we were 100% happy with), without me having to interview or get contracts myself - Alex did it all. During the month-of and day-of the wedding, I had no responsibilities other than having fun and packing my bags for the hotel.

I especially appreciated Alex's flexibility. I was indecisive on several topics - including linens - and Alex was completely flexible, willing to come with me to visit several party rental companies and then arranging to bring the linens to my venue to see how they would look. (This is only one example!)

With regard to month-of and day-of planning, Alex made our lives so easy. I was able to defer to her for scheduling, logistics, and basically everything. The wedding was amazing, and I was so impressed by how smoothly everything went. I was not stressed at all about the timeline or logistics of the wedding day, thanks to Alex. Alex and her team are true professionals and I'd recommend Cherry Blossom Weddings for any bride!!

I worked with Katie Hickey as my day of coordiantor and I do not know how I would have done it without her! I was not going to use a planner since I was having a small wedding (65 guests) and my family said they would help. Katie removed the stress before the wedding and allowed my family and I to fully enjoy the wedding. Katie worked with my vendors before the wedding to make sure they would be on time and everything was set up properly. I was having difficulty staying in contact with the my hotel contact so it was wonderful to have Katie make sure everything was handled. Katie has the ability to curb a bad situations before it happens--ie my cake melting. Instead of telling me my cake was melting, she just recommended we cut the cake early. I do not think I knew about the cake melting until after the wedding! She also had a glass of wine ready for my father when he was done with speach and wanted to make a toast but forgot his glass for the toast. These are the are only the little things that I saw and these are the reason you hire a wedding planner in the first place. I did not have to worry about anything at my wedding because I knew Katie (and Alex) would take of it.

Getting a coordinator was the best decision we made. Alex was so great to work with, and helped reduce our stress load immensely. She is cool, sweet, funny, super-organized, full of recommendations and ideas, and a consummate professional. I used her full planning services, and she helped me find vendors in my budget, came to vendor meetings with us, and helped us pick the color scheme and invitations, among other things. She assembled and mailed my invites, and also put together the OOT bags. Whatever I needed help with, she was there. The week of the wedding, she delivered the OOT bags, came with me to final vendor meetings, coordinated with the church, and helped with reviewing bills and finalizing our menu. The day of the wedding, she and her assistant were at the hotel accepting and distributing the flowers, distributing vendor payments, pinning the bouts on the groomsmen, setting up the candy bar and place cards, coordinating DJ announcements, and doing whatever was needed to make sure the husband and I had the best day of our lives (which we did!).

Chantal was our Month of coordinator and I do not know what we could have done without her! She made sure everything went smoothly and addressed all those little hiccups you can never anticipate so we did not have to worry about anything. Throughout the whole planning process she was available for any questions and was always quick to respond. I was able to be relaxed and calm on our wedding day knowing she was handling and overseeing things.

Alex was such a pleasure to work with. I didn't worry about a thing the day of my wedding! She really went above and beyond. I would highly recommend Alex and Cherry Blossom Weddings.

Cherry Blossom, and in particular Chantal Rotondo was professional and extremely personable. The service was so far beyond my expectations that I have recommended their services as essential, to all my friends that are planning weddings in the area. This service is an expense that is worth every penny and should be a requirement for every bride as far as budgeting is concerned. Chantal thought of every little detail that added that extra specialness to the day and comfort for our guests. She made the month of my wedding entirely stress free as it related to set up and breakdown of details. Cherry Blossom as a whole exhibited such individual attention and genuine interest in what was happening with us throughout the whole process. I cannot say enough good things or how essential their services were to making my day perfect. Chantal was my wedding coordinator for my September 2008 wedding (sorry it took so long to write this review). She was absolutely fantastic. Any bride (or groom:)) would be lucky to have her. She was very organized and very understanding. She was always welcoming and helpful whenever I called her (which is especially wonderful the days leading up to the wedding). At the wedding, she made everything run smoothly and I didn't worry about a thing except for making sure I met all my guests and having a good time. My reception site was a nightmare and she took care of everything with them. At the rehearsal, we didn't have a coordinator (the Church didn't provide one and our deacon was a visiting minister and did not know how things ran), she stepped up to the plate and ran the rehearsal (and therefore our ceremony) like a pro. I could not have been more pleased. Towards the end of the wedding planning, I ran out of energy to do a handful of "little things" like print off directions from the church to the reception site. She was able to pull off doing these small things at a very reasonable price and seemingly effortlessly. She stayed positive and upbeat throughout every aspect of weddding planning. My mother, who complained about EVERYTHING wedding related, even said the money we spent on Chantal and Cherry Blossom was the best spent money of the entire wedding. Chantal balanced the moms, me (the bride) and the groom with grace and class. When the wedding was over and I realized that my time with Chantal was coming to an end, I was really bummed out (we're facebook friends though:)). I could go on and on with all the little (and big) things she did well, but you get my drift. I don't have a single complaint at all. She just really is the best.

Also, she is really, really thourough and organized and very affordable. Really, with a great personality to match, what more could you want?!

Hiring a "month of" planner was the best thing I did and worth every penny. I initially thought I could handle this on my own or have one of my work colleagues do it but I'm so glad I hired a professional. Chantal was always available, friendly and most of all helpful. Having a day of coordinator was a great move and having Alex as the coordinator was the best decision ever!! She is exceptional in every aspect. Very professional yet so friendly and easy to work with. Alex went above and beyond that of what a coordinator should do to make our wedding day perfect and just so beautiful. We made a lot of changes, some very last minute, and she made sure that all flowed smoothly. She knows weddings that's for sure and works so hard to make the day as wonderful as possible. Alex corresponded and met with me as many times as I needed to make sure that everything would be perfect and that I was comfortable. She also always made sure that we (the bride and groom) were both very well taken care of, something that can lost in the frenzy of wedding planning. The other great thing about Alex is that she knows a lot of great vendors and has the ability to work well with anyone and that makes the day just flow so much better and just all around seamless!! The rehearsal and wedding surely would of been chaos without her and her assistant, I can't say enough what a great decision hiring Alex was!!

Alex Pare, with Cherry Blossom Weddings & Events, was my wedding planner and helped me plan every element of my wedding and provided day-of services. My wedding was everything I could have hoped for and more because of Alex. She immediately understood the vision my husband and I had for our wedding and even helped us form that vision where we were unsure, but always in keeping with our tastes. She was incredibly organized and responsive. No email I sent her ever went unanswered and usually the response was immediate to within a few hours. She hired only the best vendors who provided excellent service and well within our budget. Because my wedding was in her capable and extremely organized hands on the day of, I, my mother, and my bridesmaids could relax and enjoy the day without a single worry. Alex allowed me to plan the ideal wedding even with the crazy hectic schedule my job demands. It was a beautiful event and Alex took care of every detail, saving me months of stress and worry. I can't thank her or recommend her and her company enough!

Alex was the DOC for our wedding along with her assistant Chantal. We're a very D.I.Y kind of couple, but when I realized we were in over our heads, decided that a DOC would probably be a good idea to keep our sanity. I researched a few coordinators, but after meeting with Alex, I literally felt like a great weight had been lifted off my shoulders. I knew right away that we had to have her on board to help us execute all of the quirky ideas and non-traditional elements we wanted to incorporate into our wedding ceremony and reception. She was always accessible by email for any problems or concerns that came up along the way, and handled all of the details of the day-of flawlessly... especially when we had a minor hiccup at the end of cocktail hour and ran out of vodka! Chantal watched over the reception while Alex ran out to the ABC store for a few more bottles. Our guests never knew that it even happened, which in retrospect, may actually be a result of how much of the vodka they consumed before the reception even began! Alex and Chantal also ran our rehearsal, because our officiant was coming from out of town on the day of the wedding. The rehearsal went smoothly as did the ceremony the next day. I would definitely agree with a previous reviewer that the support and service she provides is worth double what she charges!

Alex was my DOC and was great. She made me feel calm and I knew everything would turn out great in her hands. In the weeks before, she helped me with items I didnt have a handle on (seating chart, table numbers, etc). She ran the rehearsal and was available first thing the day of the help get the liquor from my parents house to the site. She went above and beyond. Everyone was able to relax and enjoy the evening, which was very important to me.

I could not say enough wonderful things about Cherry Blossom Weddings & Events and Alex Pare. She was so terrific -- a rock, who kept me organized, kept all of the vendors on schedule and their performance fluid and exactly what we envisioned. When a slight crisis occured with one of my other vendors, Alex also provided on-point, timely advice and support, helped navigate the issue, and propose and implement solutions. She really made all of the "stressful" issues manageable, which allowed me, my (new) husband, and my family able to truly relax and enjoy the big day. She's terrific. You really couldn't make a better choice than going with Alex Pare for your wedding day-of coordinator, or full-in planner. She was a true gem!

Alex Pare was my absolute favorite vendor. She was highly organized, and was able to execute the event to meet all of my wishes. She was always unconditionally responsive, professional, offered creative solutions, and provided support not only to myself, but to the rest of the family and bridal party. Alex met with me several times prior to the wedding, picked up wedding materials, confirmed all my vendors and reviewed last minute details, and even graciously took over communications for me with a difficult vendor in the days preceeding the wedding. Alex returned all my wedding materials to my room the night of the wedding. Everything was put away in an organized manner and valuables were hidden and locked away. Alex even graciously made phone calls to vendors two days following the event to confirm payment instructions while I was on my way to my honeymoon. Alex has a professional appearance and demanor that was key to illicit respect from family members, and vendors the same. By the end of the night, whenever a question came up, someone would say "Ask Alex". It was so wonderful not to have to worry about any details, but to be able to relax and enjoy my event. When I first booked Alex, even though her rates were not the top of the line, nor the bottom of the barrel, I felt hiring her was a splurge. By the time the event came, and even before her stellor performance at our wedding, I knew she was truly the very best investment my fiance and I made for the night. Without her there would have been numerous difficulties throughout the night. With her, difficulties were encountered were immediatly dealt with and invisable to myself and guests. In the end, we thought Alex was worth double what she charged. We highly recommend her to all of our friends, family nad anyone we hear that is hosting an event. You will get your money's worth and will not be disappointed.

Working with Alex from Cherry Blossom Weddings and Events was a dream come true. I was hesitant to work with anyone at first because I felt that my ideas would get tossed to the side and this would become a show for the wedding planner. That could not be farther from the truth! Alex was fantastic, she had a list of every detail that WE wanted and did everything she could to ensure that everyone and everything was where it should be. I have never felt more comfortable and here is the best part... I was able to enjoy my wedding!! I never worried about when the first dance would be or the cake cutting or who was going to pick up the gifts. Alex was always a few steps ahead of everyone else so when someone would need something she effortlessly appeared to provide what was needed. I can't say enough how much I appreciated her help and all that she did for us. I would never hesitate to hand over anything to her again knowing her professionalism, her high spirits and her attention to detail.

Alex is great! listens to everything you want and makes it come alive. I would recommend her to anyone who needs a coordinator. she went above and beyond what i asked of her, she was a great help the day of the wedding and leading up to it and even after. She even loaned me her personal camera which i have yet to return, but she's been so great and flexible. love her!

I could not have asked for a more perfect wedding day thanks to Cherry Blossom!! They coordinated all the vendors and activities of the day, and I was able to smile and take it all in :) Alex was extremely helpful in providing vendor recommendations, setting up appointments and walking me through all the steps needed to plan the wedding. I had no idea it involved so much. However, their planning paid off as it all came together so well on the wedding day!!

Alex from Cherry Blossom Weddings & Events is awesome! I think we would have gone to the courthouse and skipped the big wedding long before our wedding day came around if it wasn't for Alex. We did the partial planning package and Alex took almost all the stress out of planning a wedding. There were still lots of meetings to go to and decisions to make, but Alex made the whole process pretty painless. My husband and whole family would agree that Cherry Blossom Weddings & Events was easily the best spent money of all wedding costs. If anything went wrong on the wedding day, I had no idea. Alex took care of everything, we had absolutely nothing to worry about and were able to focus on our wedding day which was perfect! The few minor things that came up, Alex took care of immediately. She was great to work with throughout the entire wedding planning process and would definitely recommend her as an invaluable asset to any bride planning a wedding.

I was fortunate enough to have Elizabeth take over my wedding....... I received a call a month before my wedding from my day of cord. who informed me she was no longer available for my wedding day!!!! Luckily I was referred to Cherry Blossom weddings and found a great day of cord. Elizabeth and her assistant Erin. My wedding day was amazing and because of their help all went very smoothly.

You could not make a better investment. Our DOC gave us confidence and security for the month leading up to the wedding. She went above and beyond my expectations to organize and manage the entire day's events.

Alex of Cherry Blossom Weddings & Events was extremely easy to work with and very professional. We were very pleased with her services leading up to the wedding and coordination on the day of our wedding. We met in person with Alex on a few occassions leading up to our wedding. She was present for the final walk-through with the caterers and venue coordinators as well as present on the night of our rehearsal at the church. Alex was able to relieve the pressure of planning our event by confirming the wedding day schedule with all of our vendors from the catering, florist, photography, DJ, beverage delivery, valet parking, make-up artist, hair stylist, and others.
