WOW! You think of an idea and Chesapeake really runs with it. From when my bouquets were dropped off to the bridal room to walking down the isle and entering our reception. Everything just brought tears to my eyes. Chesapeake went above and beyond. You go to them with your budget and the possibilities are endless. Things no bride-to-be could Google to get ideas of. Super creative and dream-like capabilities. Several of my friends and family memebers have used Chesapeake for their weddings. Two more next year!!! Nancy, I still dont know what to say.

Nancy, the owner of Chesapeake Floral Arts came highly recommended as a preferred vendor of our venue location. She is Floral Designer Genius. I have worked with many other top rated floral designers, as an Event Planner and by far Nancy beats them all. She took her time to meet with me to get more familiar with my floral vision for the wedding and on the wedding day, the 1st thing that made me cry was when the cart with the bridal party flowers rolled by. I was overwhelmed with emotion and how she nailed it! She took everything I shared with her and pulled out an amazing display of plum, green and ivory flowers to produce a gorgeous and bountiful arrangement that had a wildflowers appeal, monkey tails and all! She even incorporated a touch of burlap in the arrangements and the ceremony site which was a constant thread throughout the day. My sophisticated vintage/shabby chic wedding was topped off with an absolutely stunning display of reception centerpieces that included various shapes of plum glass and birch containers filled with plum, green & ivory floral accents and tall branches surrounded with accompanying hydrangeas. All I could say was WOW! Thank you & your staff for the hard work, commitment and effort that went into making our special day unique. Thank you for adding to the joyful spirit of our event with your presence and your amazing talent. And thank you for giving us a lasting memory of your kindness and generosity.

Nancy was FANTASTIC! I don't know very much at all about flowers and meeting with her left me with a sigh of relief. She really knows her stuff! My bouquets and centerpieces were beautiful and she really understood what I wanted. They are more than accommodating for your particular budget, I told Nancy what I wanted to spend and she worked it in so I wouldn't have to go over my budget. It was great. Nancy at Chesapeake Floral Arts did a beautiful job on the flowers for my wedding. When we first met with Nancy, I had few very clear ideas on our vision. She provided great practical advice (i.e., advising not to go overboard on flowers for an outdoor ceremony) and helped us make beautiful selections for the wedding. Only a few days before the wedding, she was able to add a pendant to a bouquet on a last minute request. On the day of the wedding, we were very pleased with the beautiful arrangements Nancy put together.

Out of all the components of my wedding, the flowers were the most worry-free (thanks to Nancy!) aspect of the planning process with the most beautiful result on my wedding day.

As the mother of the bride, I was not totally convinced that spending a lot of money on fresh flowers was worth it. My daughter, the bride, however, had her heart set on fresh flowers, and lots of them. After meeting with Nancy, I became a little more agreeable to the idea. Nancy took her time with us, listened to what my daughter had in mind, and offered plenty of ideas....but never tried to steer us in any particular way...she allowed us to decide what we wanted. My daughter had some pretty "original" ideas and Nancy listened thoughtfully and showed us examples that were just what she wanted. The day of the wedding, when I actually saw the flowers, I was floored! The flowers were absolutely spectacular! I am absolutely a believer in fresh flowers for weddings now. Seeing the wonderful and beautiful job Nancy did with the flowers was truly art, and worth every penny. Chesapeake Floral Arts is an amazing small company. I specifically worked with Nancy, who was fantastic. I saw their work online and called to see if my wedding date was available. At first, Nancy said that she was already booked for my special day, but she knew how much I loved their work and moved thigns around so she could make the flowers for our special day. When we went to meet up to discuss my wedding she was inviting and very knowledgable. We talked about my choices and she made suggestions. The pictures she showed me really made it easy for me to decide. I was so excited because Nancy went above and beyond by adding small startfish (our wedding theme) to my flowers. Nancy Garner of Chesapeake Floral Art is amazing! She truly does more than just wedding flowers. She gives your event incredible style. Nancy came up with ideas I could have never imagined. She was the most modern and innovative florist we met. We interviewed several who all came up with the same dated ideas. Nancy had an impressive portfolio that gave us a ton of ideas although she refuses to do the same thing twice! We received so many compliments on our centerpieces. People said it was the most chic wedding centerpieces they'd ever seen! Nancy even did a walk through of the wedding ceremony/reception space with us and advised us on our linen selection. She was also very receptive to our budget and didn't push us to go over what we were willing to spend. Our ceremony was outdoors and Nancy very honestly told us that flowers weren't necessary because the view was so beautiful. She said she'd be happy to sell us something but the fact is, we really didn't need anything in the space. I appreciated working with someone who was so fun and accommodating. Never once did she give us a sales pitch which made working with Nancy a treat! I highly recommend her to anyone and have absolute confidence she will put together breathtaking wedding decor!

As someone who admittedly doesn't know anything about flowers, I couldn't have asked for a better floral designer. Our first meeting with Nancy made me feel so comfortable. I was able to explain to her the feeling we wanted and ideas we already had. From there she was able to come up with ideas and suggestions that were totally what we were looking for. Her knowledge of flowers and venues, and what types of centerpices work best in certain rooms was spot on. And even when we made final decisions she still manaed to surprise me once I saw the final product. The boquest were gorgous and the centerpieces wer beautiful, they totally helped to set the mood. My wedding took place at Herrington on the Bay on Sunday, June 15th of this year.The overall experience of the flowers and decor was excellent. Nancy was spectacular. The service was great and the quality of the product was terrific. I loved my bouquet and the bridesmaids bouquets. The way our ceremony location was decorated was breathtaking. Nancy really took her time and made sure that all of our needs we met and I was satisfied with all aspects of my floral arrangements.

I know absolutely nothing about flowers and didn't even know how to articulate what I even wanted. She still managed to put together the most perfect bouquets for me and my bridesmaids that I could have imagined. She also did amazing centerpiece displays and decorated the archway we got married under. She was very easy to get along with and I would recommend her to anyone!

Because of severe storms the afternoon of the wedding, we thought the ceremony was going to be moved into the reception tent. This meant having the tent ready an hour and a half earlier than expected. Brides & attendants flowers were being delivered to a different location. In order to get the bride's flowers to her, and still have the tent ready, Ms Garner arranged to meet the photograher, who brought the flowers with her. As it turned out the weather cleared, and the ceremony was performed outdoors. The flowers were exactly what we wanted. Ms Garner worked within our budget, never encourging us to go over.

Nancy was very helpful with giving me ideas that would look beautiful and fit my budget. Everything looked wonderful the day of with two exceptions: I paid the same price for an extra bridesmaid bouquet which was to be tossed, and it ended up being smaller than the others, which normally would have been okay, however the bouquet was one of the decorations on my head table, which threw off the symmetry. I also paid a substantial amount to have rose petals all over the table surrounding my cake, but when I entered the reception hall one of the first things I noticed was a plain white table cloth under my cake with not a pedal in sight. It made me very sad because the dramatic effect I was going for was not achieved. However, despite these two flaws, I believe I would be hard pressed to find someone in the area who could have done a better job. Nancy is creative and extremely helpful in not only the floral department, but also gave me a lot of pointers about weddings in general.

I recently used Chesapeake Floral Arts for a portion of the flowers at my ceremony. They were not my primary florist and only did the floral decorations for the arch during our ceremony. From my first meeting I did not feel as though they were inclined to do what I was looking for but since they were doing such a small part of the flowers at the wedding I went ahead. The day of the wedding I was dissapointed to see the arch - there was far to much greenery and roses - I specifically asked for no roses. Other then the roses, the only flowers I noticed were carnations - again one of the flowers I asked not to have. The flowers used on the arch did not reflect the feel of our wedding or flow with the rest of the flowers incorporated by our primary florist. I know that Nancy did speak to our primary florist regarding the flowers used as I had many conversations with her (the primary florist) throughout the process. Nancy is correct in her notation below that I never contacted her with a problem because like I said before, they were doing such a small portion of the flowers that I didn't want to deal with the stress of her after our first meeting.
